The Lamb at Angmering

The staff are friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our meals at the onsite restaurant. There’s also a coffee shop and cafe across the street. Angmering is a lovely little English village. Our room was quaint.

The staff were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent as were the evening meals we had on two nights of our stay. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Overall the Lamb looked and felt a little tired and needed redecorating and freshening up.

The staff we very good and nothing was too much triuble

Lovely place to stay, made even better by the friendly staff. Room was cleaned each day by Wendy who was lovely. Breakfast was amazing and filled us up for the day. Will definitely be back!

Very friendly staff and lovely rooms

The hotel was

The Lamb is a gem, and I highly recommend booking a reservation for dinner while you stay. It was the best meal of my trip hands down! Adorable place, walkable in a small town, what more could you want!

Great little pub with rooms in a nice little village. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and clean. The breakfast was made to order and was great tasting and of good quality.

Comfortable, spacious room, friendly and efficient staff, great food.

Staff are fabulous with Gemma and Lottie as standouts. I got my favorite room whilst a little noisy at closing time is great with a great bed. The breakfast are great especially smoke salmon and scrambled egg. Sunday lunch is amust

Great location and very friendly staff

We were given an upgraded room it was very comfortable and spacious. but the light was dim. A very large bathroom with both bath & shower but only 1 hand towel. Breakfast was very nice apart from the bacon which was awful.

The staff are great and very friendly. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are true to a pub hotel.

Bed & bathroom good as were meals Property lacks a residents bar area for a quiet evening drink

Great stay in a lovely little village pub. The room was spacious and clean and had a lovely little sitting room of the main bedroom, which was great for early morning cuppa. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

We stayed over for a family meal occasion. The service, welcome and meal were all excellent. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The room was also nice and quiet. The only thing that could be improved, and I did mention this at reception, was the lack of suitable electric socket near a mirror, the hairdryer supplied in the room did not reach the mirror meaning you could not see your hair whilst drying it. A simple fix would be an electrical extension lead or hairdryer with a much longer flex.

Excellent service, very friendly, helpful staff. Food top quality. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We had an overnight stay with breakfast included.

Stayed at The Lamb for a night. Delightful experience, friendly staff, great food, and gorgeous room.

Excellent accommodation and superb food( evening meal) Staff all super helpful, but not fawning, thank goodness! Lovely easy atmosphere.

We look forward to staying here again. We will want the same impressive bedroom, over the dining room and we will probably make the same choices at dinner (book a table, there were none spare on our Saturday evening). Our visit started well when we had a wonderfully warm welcome from a local. It was Friday evening with a group of men drinking and chatting outside; one came over to open the outer door for us fully laden visitors and then came in to open the inner door, wished us a pleasant stay and went back to his friends. The check-in was friendly, in fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a busy local pub with good beer, a good restaurant and good rooms. Just my sort of place for a few relaxing nights away.

Lovely overnight stay for our anniversary. The room was large and airy and the bed very comfortable indeed. We dined in the restaurant which served excellent food too.

Nice pub with room. Food was excellent and staff for very friendly. Room ok ,overlooking the rear of the pub, however although bathroom quite big the sink was very small like an ensuite type .Not a major issue just annoying getting splashed when try to wash hands ect

This was an excellent place to stay with comfortable room and very good food. The staff were very helpful.

Good place and nice staff

Had a great nice sleep. Staff was very kind and welcoming.

The place is spotless and the staff are brilliant. Nothing more i can add.

Lovely stay

This was our second stay at The Lamb, friendly, clean, lovely breakfast, ideal location for the seafront. A good 2 night stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food, service both excellent. Room and facilities all good too. Will stay again.

This is our accommodation of choice when we're in the area. We particularly like the fabulous restaurant, which never disappoints - make sure you book in advance as it's very popular.

Had a lovely stay. Room was very nice. The staff were very friendly and hopful.

Excellent accommodation, staff, breakfast and dinner. Would happily stay there again but would prefer more vegetarian / vegan options.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Upgraded room which was perfect. Very good breakfast and would return in future.

Lovely property quaint village perfect stay lovely atmosphere, setting great staff and hospitality must stay

Great find. Warm welcome. Lovely food, lovely place.

Great time great hotel perfect time

Amazing place the Lamb , great rooms , lovely welcoming staff … will certainly be back

It was a comfortable stay. Room well equipped. Food excellent and customer service very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Dinner not cheap, but the best food we have eaten for a very long time. Good range of options for breakfast, clearly freshly cooked.

Pub restaurant was nice, food was good, breakfast quite nice, initially staff was not so friendly, later it got better, the room was quite small and for sure the beds very small

Food really good. Beds comfy. Staff and service excellent. Few cobwebs in room but generally clean. Breakfast 2nd day was not great as chef over slept lol.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We were made to feel very welcome. Staff, food and facilities were all great. Thank you

I booked this last minute as I couldn't face another night of camping in a tent! The bedroom was on the top floor and also included the exclusive use of a separate lounge room. The decoration and furnishings were stylish and in-keeping with the property - it felt like a luxury stay (not just because I'd been sleeping in a tent before that!!) The bathroom had an old-fashioned bath tub and large walk-in shower. Very large bed in this room (it felt larger than a king size?). The bedroom does have a height restriction though so wouldn't be suitable for everyone. It was a busy Saturday night but I managed to find a spot in the pub car park. Was met by a very friendly lady at reception who showed me around.

Lovely place. A village pub with super-comfortable, immaculate rooms and a great restaurant (obviously much patronised by local residents). Friendly, obliging staff and a genuinely warm welcome. Somewhere to come back to with pleasure.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was smallish but bed was kingsize and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. Highly recommended

Very good and friendly staff

Great ambiance quality dining and really friendly helpful staff. Will be going back

Comfortable bed, all facilities, delicious breakfast, friendly staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 1-night stay at The Lamb. We had a lovely, spacious room which was well fitted and decorated. Plenty of good quality refreshments in the room, including tea, a N'Espresso coffee machine and pods, biscuits and water. We had a great dinner in restaurant, after a drink in the welcoming bar. The whole stay was made more pleasant by the helpful staff, all of whom went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant evening and a good stay. We had to leave early on Sunday morning, before the normal breakfast service started, but we were able to sit in the dining room and enjoy a freshly-made coffee, while the chef prepared bacon sandwiches for us. This was much appreciated.

Fabulous Stay at the Lamb. Staff are wonderful, food was top quality. Very comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay again

Fabulous food with great friendly service.

The service was fantastic from check in to check out. The food is amazing wide selection of beers and wines.

We stayed at the "Lamb" last night. Our room was clean, tidy ,spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom had fresh towels and a nice hot shower and all the other expected facilities in the room. Breakfast was included and very tasty and the staff friendly and chatty. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

An absolutely amazing stay , and the dinner was perfect. We will definitely be back soon

Enjoyed our stay the room was cleaned every day, fresh towels and the stay was very comfortable. We didn’t have any wifi but was not too bothered by that. The breakfast was lovely and good choices on the menu. Food in the pub was excellent. We will be back again

The lamb in was one of the loveliest places we stayed in a while. Staff were extremely polite and helpful, the service was great. The food was absolutely delicious. Would 💯 come back again and recommend.

the service was really good and accommodating. Room was very clean. overall very good. a couple of items i would have liked was that the basin drained faster, place to put items in the bathroom(shelves), hooks to hang towels and clothing, handle on bathroom door to close it from the inside, shelf in the shower to place soap etc and perhaps the shower taps should be on the wall on the left so you do not get wet when turning the shower on !. but overall really commendable

Nice village pub. Restaurant menu very pricey, but same owners have a pizza/pasta across the road, which still pricey but not so posh or expensive as the pub. Breakfast menu was nice but the actual food just ok. Room was comfortable but not the cleanest I've stayed in with sticky spills on the furniture and I think it was the carpet that smelled of vomit. Room overlooking the kitchen exterior I think and noisy extractor fan. Music downstairs on til late. Service was excellent.

Last minute trip ,and what a trip , absolutely amazing stay . Lottie made our trip perfect , our room was stunning food and atmosphere was perfect and the breakfast perfect and cannot wait to go back

Clean and smart rooms. Staff friendly. Food excellent

This is a great find, only 8 rooms, but it’s true what they say about good things coming in small packages. The food and service here is excellent. The staff are so friendly and really.. nothing is too much trouble. We had an issue with the toilet, just happened to mention it at Breakfast to Lottie, straight away she offered a move of room to a really lovely alternative. The food is gorgeous, Adriana is excellent at front of house, knowledgeable, professional but what a great character! We will certainly be back at some time in the future to this great hotel in this charming village!

Everthting was great thankyou for a lovely stay, all the staff so friendly ans helpful

Stayed for two nights. Service was 1st class all the staff were friendly and very helpful especially Jonah. Breakfast was really nice. Staff very attentive. Would highly recommend The Lamb at Angmering

Room was very comfortable, food was great but best of all those who worked there were lovely

Liked everything . Lottie and Adriana in particular as co managers went out of their way for all that we wanted. We had very hot weather but had a fan in the room so no problem. Bathrooms looked recently renovated with nice shower. Charming British Pub and hotel. Not cheap but worth every penny and the food was superb.

We liked the generous room size. One problem which needs correcting - the radiator in the room could not be completely switched off. This was unfortunate since the weather was already hot.

A delightful 2 night break. Exceptionally helpful staff who all had time to chat with you. Delicious food at dinner and breakfast. Excellent position for visiting Arundel and surrounding area. Will return.

Really disappointed. For a well regarded Gastro Inn… there was no “Gastro” on Sunday evening so it was just a rather dated, small room above the pub. Breakfast was very good, but at $160 it was poor value for money for a room and breakfast. I’m sure the food, when it’s available, is great but on Sunday night it was an expensive mistake.

Great staff, great room and the food was exceptional.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, welcoming staff. The best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs I have ever eaten and the fresh orange juice was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this place for a visit.

The lamb Perfect, staff were great nothing to much trouble, check in shown to our room and all the relevant information was clear and understanding. Great premier room lovely comfortable and really well presented, would definitely recommend.

Great one night stay and up graded.

Lovely clean room excellent staff we couldn't have asked for more

I'm a vegan, they did a special menu just for me. Friendly, welcoming... Highly recommend

Really friendly and very helpful. Even though above the pub . No noise or disturbances. Great food . We didn’t eat in the evening as we were at family group. But the menu was very inviting.thank you .

What a find for an overnight stay. After breakfast I thought about the previous 15 hours spent at the Lamb trying to find a fault and failed! Both evening meal and breakfast was superb and the room was great. I was a little cold but it was -4 outside!

My husband and I were going to a party in Littlehampton and needed somewhere to stay overnight. The Lamb turned out to be the perfect choice. The staff were very welcoming and the room was well equipped. We didn’t eat there in the evening, but the specials board and breakfast made us wish we had been able to. A thumbs up from us.

Probably the cleanest mist comfortable hotel we have stayed in, fabulous food amazing breakfast the staff were exemplary

Everything good quality and lovely staff. Unfortunate meal on first night had to be sent back so cancelled table on second night. Must have been a one-off bad meal as very busy with food and breakfasts were excellent. Dealt with very professionally.

Very friendly staff but we found the room rather small and noisy due to it being above the bar and on the main road.

Food and atmosphere as good as it gets. I thought for the price the room was a little dates / tired

Another enjoyable stay. Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely room and good food. We will return.

Beautifully refurbished pub. Very nice bedroom with generously sized ensuite.

Sraff very friendly and helpful, couldn't do more to make you feel welcome. Only one night but a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend. We only had breakfast to eat as we had orher arrangements for the previous evening. The menu looked great though and the breakfast was super.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom had an excellent shower and sinks and very nicely decorated. Our room was moments from the dining room, perfect!!

A rare delight. Too often when we book with hotels.com we are given a poor room and this has resulted in several complaints at a hotel. But at the Lamb we had an excellent room of really high standard, well finished with excellent utilities and a coffee machine. Into the bar and restaurant, brilliant again. Good choice of food, nicely presented and delicious, same at breakfast. And to top it all great service from smiling helpful staff.

Really nice hotel, fantastic breakfast,

Lovely welcome. Very comfortable room- excellent shower and toiletries. Bed amazingly comfortable! Superb breakfast with excellent cheerful service staff -and nothing was too much trouble for them. Many thanks for a great stop over. We will come again and definitely recommend to others.

A super stay. Lovely room and fabulous welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast. Stayed here for a work visit but would love to return for a vacation.

Great food and very friendly service… well worth a stop over!

Excellent stay at this friendly and welcoming inn. Rooms were clean and comfortable, food was really good. Couldn’t fault it.

We were attending a festival in the area so needed to arrive late or early. When I called in advance they were very friendly and accommodating. The room was brilliant. Really spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was great too!

Two night break. Staff most kind, friendly and helpful upgrading our room without being asked so we could avoid the stairs. Room excellent with good bed and lovely bathroom. Food second to none! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect. Everyone was very helpful.

Great location, staff and restaurant. Comfortable older en suite in beautiful English village

We had a fantastic stay at The Lamb from start to finish, the staff were extremely efficient whilst remaining super friendly, the room was very comfortable and had everything in it for a great nights stay, we ate in the restaurant too and would totally recommend the food there too, overall a really wonderful experience, would definitely recommend.

Very friendly, easy going and professional Excellent food and service

The room was lovely, comfortable bed, bath and a shower, and an additional room with a sofa and TV. The staff were friendly.

Very good reception and welcome room fine breakfast and service excellent thanks

Great place to stay. Friendly and efficient staff, great food and spotlessly clean.

Spacious room and large bathroom with walk-in shower. All nicely decorated and clean and tidy. Had adjoining “sitting room” across the landing and if I’d been working this would have been a great way of separating work from sleep. Food in the restaurant was good, could have picked a wide selection of items. Deserts were great too. Parking is at a premium, so once I’d learned I got back before 6pm. Plenty of street parking if you miss out. Staff were friendly and helpful. All round great stay.
