Property was very cleaned and staff was very helpful. Communication from the host was very clear and helpful.

Road to the place wasn’t the best not the host fault though.

We had a warm welcome and really nice stay for three persons. From dinner to breakfast, transfer to our next destination and especially the short ride to the National Park, everything was taking care of and perfect. Thank you!

Tolles Zimmer mit super schönem Außenbad. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren traditionell und sehr gut. Sachi und seine Frau haben an einem Abend extra nur für uns gekocht. Wir konnten den tollen Pool im Nachbarresort nutzen. Die Safari am Morgen mit Milan war super. Wir haben viele verschiedene Tiere und Milan hat uns viel zu den Tieren erzählt. Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt im Mango Tree House.

Zum weiterempfehlen. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau haben sehr, sehr schöne Unterkünfte gebaut - mit einem kleinen Restaurant in der Mitte. Wir haben in den Betten sehr gut geschlafen. Die Aussendusche ist sehr gelungen. Frühstück und Abendessen waren top. Sehr lecker. Taxitransport ebenfalls sehr, sehr gut. Wir waren mit dem Fahrer so zufrieden, dass wir gleich noch die Fahrt zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft mit ihm gebucht haben. Auch die vom Gastgeber organisierte Safari war super. Unser Guide Milan hat uns viele tolle Plätze und Tiere gezeigt. Er konnte super englisch und lernt gerade zusätzlich deutsch.

Super schöne Unterkunft, wahnsinnig gutes Essen und das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, wir waren 2 Tage da und unsere Kinder und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Nestled in the midst of nature, it was a serene getaway. The open roof bathroom was a nice touch. The food was homemade and healthy. Host was very helpful and arranged the elephant safari for us even though we had to change plans from evening to morning

Un lugar excelente. Una familia encantadora que te ayuda en todo. La comida de las mejores en todo el viaje a Sri Lanka. Las cabañas son espectaculares, invitan a relajarse y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. A 5 minutos en tuk tuk del centro. Repetiríamos!

The staff were lovely, the room was nice and clean plus the beds were comfortable. There was air conditioning and the bathroom was well kept with the outdoor shower being a nice addition. We had dinner here and it was incredible, there was a range of local dishes and it was nice to be able to go back up for more! We organised a safari through the hotel and this was easy to do plus they even organised breakfast for us on our return before check out. It was all very easy and well organised. We can’t recommend staying here enough!

We only stayed one night, as we had the safari planned on the next day, but we loved this place! Very emerged in the nature, with an outdoor toilet. The hosts were super kind with us, providing dinner with local dishes and very fresh ingredients. Furthermore, we had a safari arranged with them, with Anji as our guide. This was a perfect safari, because Anji was very ethical with the animals, always driving slowly not to scare the animals. We saw a lot of different birds, elephants, crocodiles, etc.

Una delle strutture più belle dello Sri Lanka. Siamo stati una sola notte purtroppo e ci siamo innamorati. Le stanze sono al centro della foresta. Er zijn vele positieve reacties te lezen, maar het ontbijt viel ons wat tegen. Waarschijnlijk dat de host een belangrijke afspraak had staan en niet aanwezig kon zijn? Het meisje die het nu regelde deed goed haar best, maar helaas ze miste wat ervaring?

Fabulous lodges near Udawalawe national park. Great hosts, helping to organise a fab safari. breakfast and dinner are not to be missed - great traditional Sri Lankan dishes. And if you don’t catch sight of a leopard you won’t want to miss the affable pet Labrador Chien.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Mango Tree House und können diese Unterkunft von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von der ganzen Familie sehr herzlich empfangen und mit einem kühlen Bier willkommen geheißen – wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Der Bungalow war sehr komfortabel, mit einem tollen Moskitonetz und genügend Ablageflächen. Ein Kleiderschrank wäre noch praktisch gewesen, aber das hat unseren Aufenthalt kaum beeinträchtigt. Das Abendessen und auch das Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet – frisch, reichlich und sehr lecker. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Safari, die das Mango Tree House für uns organisiert hat. Unser Guide Anji war einfach großartig. Dank seiner Erfahrung konnten wir unglaublich viele Tiere entdecken, und er hat mit seiner Kamera wunderschöne Fotos von Vögeln und anderen Tieren gemacht und sie uns anschließend geschickt. Das war ein ganz besonderer Service und hat die Safari unvergesslich gemacht. Vielen Dank an die ganze Familie für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Wenn wir wieder in Udawalawe sind, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder! 💗🌞😊

Sachi was the most wonderful host from start to finish and everything in between. He organised a safari for us, transport to and from Udawalawe and beyond and he and his wife cooked us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Just such a lovely place to stay and great value for money.

Super endroit tranquille pour faire un safari dans la région. Eau filtree fournie , excellent petit déjeuner varié les deux matins , bcp d’intimité malgré la proximité des habitations , chambre très grande. Notre habitation avec une douche et toilette ( adjacent avec une porte directement dans la chambre ) extérieur bien que ce soit charmant , ça apporte un peu de désagréments surtout pour y aller la nuit. Personnel discret et attentionné. Restaurant sur place et massage fabuleux à 3km chez une amie du propriétaire

Wat een geweldige plek, zowel de safari van Mango tree house als het verblijft was heerlijk! Het diner is ook aan te bevelen, erg lekker gemaakte curry en lekkernijen van Sri Lanka. Wij hadden de safari van Mango tree house geboekt met ontbijt in het park. Dat vonden we echt een meerwaarde en een ervaring om nooit te vergeten. Wat een lieve familie! We konden het zwembad gebruiken van nabij gelegen park tegen kleine betaling. Dat was een extra fijne bijkomstigheid in de warmte!

La struttura è nuova e si presenta accogliente e incredibilmente curata. Le camere dispongono di bagni con doccia a cielo aperto molto particolari e suggestivi così come la zona della colazione in cui si può usufruire anche del servizio cena che abbiamo apprezzato per tipicità e bontà. Staff disponibile, ci ha permesso di lasciare i bagagli oltre l’orario di check out e ci ha organizzato una festa di compleanno per i festeggiamenti di uno di noi. Consigliatissimo

Nous avons passé une très belle nuit à Mango Tree House. L'endroit est absolument superbe et les hôtes sont d'une grande gentillesse.. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et le dinner (nous avons choisi le buffet) était excellent. Les hôtes ont préparé des curry non épicés pour les enfants ce qu'on a beaucoup apprécié.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt im Mango Tree House. Vor allem das freiluft Bad hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Dusche war wie ein Wasserfall und die Besitzer sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Niet alles was even schoon en er is geen receptie waardoor wij alle informatie op whatsapp moesten vragen die je normaal gezien bij het inchecken krijgt

Loved this hotel! The location and stff were amazing. We took the safaris from the hotel, and the drive was super. Highly recommend. The food at the hotel was also good.

Goede locatie, mooi huisje met fijne bedden. Het fijnste waren de hosts die heel lief mee dachten wat er allemaal mogelijk was en heerlijk gegeten! Zeker aan te bevelen om te blijven eten. Super fijn verblijf voor ons gezin.

Sachith is the ultimate host. He kindly arranged cars for us to travel in, tuk tuks to take us to the elephant sanctuary, safari and a sublime dinner. I cannot recommend this place more highly. We loved our time at mango tree house and wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10.

Die Mango Tree Lodge liegt wirklich optimal in der Nähe des Udawalawe Nationalparks. Eine Safari ist von dort aus sehr einfach und angenehm durchzuführen. Der von der Lodge organisierte Tourguide war sehr freundlich und hat mit uns eine sehr interessante und informative Safari gemacht. Die Lodge selbst ist idyllisch angelegt, sehr sauber und gemütlich. Unser Zimmer war einwandfrei und durch die AC auch sehr gut gekühlt. Die Hosts sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, das Abendessen und Frühstück waren wirklich phänomenal gut.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti esclusivamente per fare il safari, il quale è stato organizzato dalla struttura ed è stato stupendo. La stuttura in sè è molto bella e accogliente, il personale è gentile e disponibile per ogni richiesta. La colazione buona, abbiamo anche cenato in struttura con la possibilità di provare unicamente cibi tipici dello Sri Lanka.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf, de kamer was heel fijn, goede bedden, de badkamer met buitendouche heerlijk en de eigenaar supervriendelijk. Hij heeft een privé safari voor ons geregeld en erna konden we nog rustig ontbijten voor de uitcheck.

The surrounding of the chalet was great. Really nice vibe. The personel was super nice and inside even though there was information about insects (which I found very considerate) there were none. Not single lizard even. The shower was pretty nice too.

We had a great stay at Mango Tree House. The cottage was clean, nice sized, air con worked great and had an outdoor bathroom. We had dinner at the property and it was amazing. The owner, Sachi, was very responsive to all my inquiries and helped book our safari and taxi to Ella. Our only regret is that we only got to stay one night at this property. Highly recommend!

We had a brilliant stay here in Udawalawe and honestly couldn’t believe how affordable it was for everything included. The place is family run and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived — we were greeted with fresh juice which was such a nice touch after travelling. The host was especially helpful throughout our stay, helping organise both the Elephant Transit Centre and our safari, which we would definitely recommend doing. Everything was very easy and stress-free to arrange through him. The room itself was basic but had everything we needed, and for the price it was excellent value. Food and drinks were always available, and the Sri Lankan buffet was absolutely delicious — one of the best local meals we had during our trip. One of the most memorable parts was the outdoor shower, which was such a fun and unique experience. The host also arranged a massage for us nearby in the jungle, and it ended up being the best massage we’ve ever had. The staff were also really helpful with luggage and always happy to help with anything we needed. Overall, such a warm and memorable stay with genuinely lovely people. Would absolutely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Great location to the elephant orphanage and the Udawalawe national park. The owners created us a beautiful dinner (some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka) which was amazing. A perfect stay if you are looking for somewhere close to the park for a safari!

Very quiet with beautiful gardens. Dinner and breakfast were delicious especially the Mango Curry. Guest hosts were extremely friendly and helped organised a driver to our next stay.

Wirklich eine top Unterkunft, die man kaum überbieten kann. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und total sauber, das Highlight war die Dusche unter freiem Himmel. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett,insgesamt haben wir uns total wohlgefühlt. Das Abendessen war auch perfekt und ist nur zu empfehlen! Die Safari war sehr schön :)

The open shower was a little daunting in the middle of the night.

We had a fantastic stay at Mango Tree House, and highly recommend it. Sachith, the owner, was incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help. He fulfilled all our requests, gave great recommendations, and helped arrange drivers, tours, and anything else we needed. His WhatsApp was available 24/7, and he was always quick to respond. Even after we left, he continued helping us with rides and travel plans, which we truly appreciated. He was also very kind and friendly with our children. His wife and the rest of the staff were equally warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The food was delicious, offering a great taste of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with a beautiful garden full of trees and local plants—we even had squirrels visiting us! The bungalows were pretty, private, and perfect for a peaceful stay. We also loved the calm, beautiful Labrador dog who greeted us every morning—so friendly and gentle. Udawalawa is a wonderful jungle location, and the safari we booked through Sachith was an amazing experience for our family of four. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and well-managed stay in Udawalawa with outstanding hospitality, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Perfect lodge stay for our Udawalwe Safari. Beautiful surroundings, the shower was super cool, the owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly and both the dinner and breakfast were amazing. We were sad we couldn't stay longer! Also Shane the dog is adorable!

This is a lovely family-fun boutique hotel right near the national park. The food prepared was delicious and generous and the staff were very accommodating of my mother's severe allergies. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet - we loved the outdoor shower! We did 2 days of safaris with the hotel's guide and it was amazing! He was respectful of the animals, stayed away from other Jeeps, and was an amazing spotter.

This is probably my favourite place I stayed in Sri Lanka. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were lovely. I'm disappointed I was only there for one night. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious too.

I can't think of anything. It is in a more isolated location, but that was a benefit for me, especially as the food onsite was so good.

The owners were very nice, the safari they arranged for us was so good and we ended up seeing so many animals with a very knowledgeable tour guide, he knew all of them and had a lot of info about each of them. The food was very authentic Sri Lankan buffet that was freshly made and very tasty

The only downside to staying is the bathroom as its outside (I should have thought of this before arriving it was mentioned) but that meant it was exposed to the wild, I saw a couple of lizards so it made the experience of showering there a little difficult.

Domek jest faktycznie uroczy jak na zdjęciach. Na przywitanie dostaliśmy pyszną lemoniadę i ciastko. Gospodarz też jest pomocny. Kolacja też była dość przyjemna. Do tego organizują safari i choć jest droższe, niż przez okoliczne firmy, to przynajmniej nie trzeba samemu ogarniać oraz co ważne my mieliśmy faktycznie prywatne (może stąd cena).

Dostaliśmy ręczniki, które miały jeszcze jakieś włoski na sobie i mnóstwo frędzli z innych tkanin. Po napisaniu dostaliśmy "nowe", ale ich jakość była podobna. Lokacja jest przy dość lipnej drodze między innymi resortami i jak chce się pojechać do "miasta", to tylko tuktuk. Sam resort jest malutki i nie pospaceruje się zbytnio.

Wonderful area with a few houses for the guests and beautiful breakfast/dining area. The hosts are wonderful, nice and very keen to make the guests feel comfortable. The outdoor bathroom is also amazing and a highlight of our trip so far.
