Perfect location for us travelling up from South to North, great food available (my partner and I love indian food) and a bar to unwind and the included breakfast was fantastic.

Was really warm (there is an air conditioning unit close to the bed) but that purely personal preference.

Just worked out great, only stayed one night, but planning on going back next year for our same event.

Modern rooms, spotlessly clean and well maintained. No noise from the pub downstairs. Walking distance from the railway station, I took an uber for £6. I had the Full English for breakfast, very good.

Rooms are small, doesnt have a chair if you want to sit and work with the laptop. Then its better to go to the pub downstairs.

A great find in Tamworth. Very clean and well appointed room with a fabulous bathroom and great shower. The food in the restaurant was very good with an eclectic choice of food, not overpriced. Car park was a bonus and a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. The staff were very friendly and attentive

Hard to pick out what I did not like but if anything the pillows on the bed were a bit skimpy.

The room was clean, but unfortunately our overall experience was very disappointing. We extended two of our three rooms for an extra night by phone and specifically confirmed that we would NOT have to change rooms. Payment was taken upfront. On Sunday, while I was playing in a competition, the hotel called saying I should have checked out and that housekeeping would move my belongings unless I upgraded, because their system showed a Single Room rather than the Deluxe Double I was already occupying. I explicitly told them not to touch my belongings. I returned 30–40 minutes later and was told it was now "too late" to move rooms, so I had to pay another £16 to stay exactly where I was. We had relied on the information given when making and paying for the extension, so we shouldn't have been charged for their booking error. The "Deluxe Double" was extremely small, particularly the bathroom. The Single Room was also tiny and our friend with Parkinson's struggled to manoeuvre around it. Breakfast was included, but you had to decide the night before whether you wanted a Full English. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and the restaurant food was lovely with quick service. Unfortunately, the rooms were far too small for the price and the way our extended booking was handled means we definitely wouldn't stay again.

The room was not the biggest but really comfy and clean although near tbe bar very quiet Breakfast was excellent and the staff really friendly would certainly stay again

Location was great for exploring Tamworth. There was a lovely atmosphere. Great food only expected a continental breakfast but full English available. Room was extremely clean. No noise from the pub/restaurant below, just a little road noise. Staff were very attentive & helpful. Definitely recommend, great value for money

Very modern and clean accommodation. Parking is round the back down. Good full English breakfast with other options. Pub is on a main road so some road noise but location was ideal for what we wanted. Would recommend.

Firstly, the poor rating is not against the staff, who were great. The poor rating is because of misleading advertising by OYO or The Tamworth Arms I booked this hotel purely because it claimed air conditioning in the room we booked, a deliberate booking based on this claim in the description on Booking.com. However the room did not have A/C, only ‘some’ rooms have AC. Instead, we had a 30c room with a dysfunctional fan. I complained via booking.com but neither OYO, a chain, and the hotel refused to take responsibility for their false advertising, to the extent that booking.com themselves offered compensation. My first and last stay in an OYO branded hotel, terrible ethics.

Misleading room description - knowing there was a heatwave, booked this hotel based on ‘air conditioning’ stated in room description on booking.com. Learned on arrival that some rooms have a/c, but not all, so after 5h journey expecting at least a cool room, the room was instead 30c and the provided fan, whilst quiet, kept switching off through the night. Very disappointed and we felt duped. Someone, OYO, the hotel owner or Booking.com is responsible for this misleading advertising (a description on booking.com is an offer that creates a contract so if it isn’t accurate it is false / misleading).

Full English breakfast was lovely. Choice of cereals, nuts, fruit, yoghurt, breakfast bars, toast.

I would have preferred to pay slightly more and not have to pay a £25 charge for early check-in.

We booked a deluxe double room which is the wrong classification.Should be on as a single room ,bathroom you had to shut the door to get to the toilet it was that small .Room itself was only big enough to fit a normal size double bed and nothing else had no drawers and nowhere suitable to hang clothes . The hotel was in a good location, close to where we needed to visit for work. The breakfast was good, dinner had plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

We booked this hotel specifically because it was close to our place of work and because Booking.com advertised that all rooms had air conditioning. We booked two rooms. One room had air conditioning, but the other did not. During extremely hot weather, this made the stay very uncomfortable and unacceptable. We raised this with the hotel staff, but they told us that not all rooms have air conditioning and that Booking.com had displayed the wrong information. They also said there was no other room available for us to move to. As a result, we had a very poor night’s sleep and it affected us badly the next working day. If we had known that not all rooms had air conditioning, we would not have booked this hotel.

The location was what attracted us, as it was close to an event we were attending. The dining area was really lovely and the rooms, though fairly small, were very comfortable, clean and had the added bonus of air conditioning.

Breakfast is great, but the people who run this place are even better and go out of their way for you. I have stayed here multiple times and it's great with a great breakfast included plus a pub and restaurant for later. The rooms have plenty of power. the WiFi works great and the room is clean.

The food was good, the room was small but cosy and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Overall I would recommend and should I visit Tamworth again I would look to stay here.

Hotel Staff were fairly helpful. Management were not.

I got charged twice for one nights stay. Apparently it was nobodys fault and nobody could do anything about it. They are also incapable of providing a VAT receipt. An AI sends you a message informing you that they have sent one but nothing ever arrives. Do not recommend for business travellers.

I got charged twice for one nights stay due to a mix up when I tried to add a second night. Went through 3 diffferent call centres and local management, nobody would do anything. If a call ended with "You will hear back from us in 24-48 hours" this was a lie. So I'm out of pocket and nobody wants to do anything bout it. Additionally, OYO were incapable of providing a VAT receipt, whic meant that my employers are out of pocket for the one instance where I could claim back my stay. When a receipt was requested an AI said they had sent it, but nothing ever arrived. Not recommended for business travellers.

My husband and I stayed here fifteen years ago and I was impressed anew by the hotel. Comfortable bed, a choice of pillows, clean room with plenty of hot drinks and biscuits. The fridge in the room was a nice touch and the breakfast was really tasty. We ordered it the night before and it was cooked fresh for us at the time we booked to have breakfast. Oh, an upgrade from our previous visit was the air conditioning unit in the room, which was quiet and efficient. We were given a ground floor room facing the road but it was peaceful and quiet overnight. Highly recommended (again!)

Unfortunately the Bar was closed at 2100 hrs even though there were guest within the bar, the person closing the bar said it was because it was to hot and the kitchen staff had left, we did get another pint after some discussion but was informed to drink it out side, which was disappointing, we finished the pint about 2200 when three other guest return to have a drink before retiring for the evening only to be informed by us that the bar closed at 2100. this did soured what was i would say was a great place to stay but if they will be closing the bar so early I would not recommend others to stay if you wish to have a evening drink, or check before booking this would not happen.

The friendly and helpful staff who were always around to make sure we had what we needed, and the location is great as you can walk to town, and castle the food is delicious.

The pillows were totally crap, super thin not did nothing. Didn’t like one of the rooms we had upstairs as it was very noisy from doors banging most of the night.

Good location and very clean. Limited choice of cooked breakfast but plentiful and tasty.

Our room - room 16 - smelt disgusting, it smelt of drains, enough to make you gag. We only dropped off our bags on arrival so hadn't really suffered it and it was late at night when we returned to our room so felt we couldn't tell staff. We opened the window which then made the room noisy from the road outside. On telling staff the next morning, two said yes, the drains can be awful, it's not our fault. So why let the room? I emailed the manager on our return but have heard nothing back 7 weeks later. Not good enough.

Staff were polite, friendly and extremely welcoming. Rooms were clean, and well presented. On our first night we were so tired we went straight to bed, and then in the morning asked if everything was ok, and did our TV work? We hadn't used it, so we then checked and it didn't have any sound... straight away, we were move to a fantastic room near the back entrance to Pub and right next to the car park, so super convenient, they moved all our suitcases into the room for us. Staffing found were very informative about places and things to do in and around Tamworth, which was so helpful. The Food...... Bloody brilliant, and reasonably priced too. Huge choice of food whether it be breakfast or dinner, all freshly cooked , piping hot, and tasted amazing... not to mention the portion sizes were good too. So all in all, we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend, and absolutely stay again.

Easy location, familiar to me I have stayed quite a few times. Bar / Restaurant casual and reasonable quality food especially Eastern menu. Good parking at rear A good breakfast served early at 07:00 which I needed.

The single rooms are much smaller than I remembered and the bed quality was ok but just bordering ok. I returned on the second night around 21:45 but the staff were closing even though I asked for a nightcap no chance, the service should be open later for residents as stated

The room was comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure—nothing to complain about. I highly recommend it! The restaurant/pub was also great. I ate there every evening, and the menu is varied. A special mention for the chicken saag—it was absolutely delicious!

My room Stunk of raw sewage and the staff lie !! They said I will get a full refund and then 4 days later wouldn’t accept it. The manager lied even though the staff said they wouldn’t let a dog stay in that room Never mind a human. Worse is they said raw sewerage comes up and still sold me a room. The manager then Lied about my refund, and I am now out of pocket by £120. Booking.com should be take off this so called hotel and ban them. They took my money and they agreed to pay knowing that I left the same night I booked in. It’s a massive scam it’s stealing and fraud. Don’t USE this hotel!!

Nice place, friendly staff, good breakfast. Added bonus off street parking round the back out of sight, perfect for me as I was on my motorbike. Happily stay there again.

Had an evening meal here which was very good. Room was modern and bathroom was too. Nice decor. Staff at breakfast were efficient and friendly.
