Clean, great staff and service ...amazing restaurants

I had an amazing time at this facility. The resort was beautiful, spacious, and the rooms were very clean. Cleaning was done daily for my room and in the evening before bedtime it was refreshed. Food / drinks were exceptional. My bestie got married there and the venue was breath taking. Would def go back there again for vacation.
O sistema de almoço muito bom.. não tendo necessidade de ia a restaurantes, pedindo pratos pequenos onde estiver , praia piscina ou no quarto.
No final do dia promover entretenimento aos hóspedes.
Everything from facilities to food to staff was great
Nothing comes to mind
Overall we LOVED the resort. The food and staff were all amazing!! The hotel was very clean!
No complaints at all
Beautiful resort, very clean and modern. The roof top pool is amazing and the service outstanding.
Everything was great.
Just the room.
We stayed at Garza Blanca Cancun based on the reputation and reviews, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing, especially as a family traveling with a young child. The resort had very little entertainment for both adults and kids. There were almost no activities happening during the day or evening, which made the resort feel very quiet and boring after the first day. The kids club was also disappointing. There was barely anything for kids to actually play with, and parents were not allowed to stay with their children. Our 5-year-old son was uncomfortable being left alone there and refused to stay without us, which made the kids area unusable for our family. One of the biggest issues was the food situation. There were essentially no halal food options available, which was extremely frustrating and should be made clearer to guests before booking. We also struggled because many staff members spoke very limited English, making communication difficult throughout the stay. Another major negative was the tipping pressure. Even though this is marketed as an all-inclusive luxury resort, we constantly felt expected to tip based on what the meal “would have cost” outside the package. We ended up spending approximately CAD $100–$200 per day just on tips, which felt excessive and uncomfortable. Overall, this resort did not meet expectations for a luxury family vacation. We regret booking this property and would not recommend it for families with young children, travelers looking for entertainment, or guests requiring halal food options.
The property grounds, rooms and amenities are beautiful. Rooms are large and modern. Outside pool area is very nice and well maintained.
Horrible service, especially for an all-inclusive resort. While breakfast is offered as a buffet, all other meals must be ordered, and wait times range from 40 minutes to over an hour and a half. The service is consistently slow, and it often feels like staff are inattentive. Another major issue was the lack of hot water in the rooms. This wasn’t just an isolated problem—many families were complaining about it during our stay, which made it clear this was a broader issue the resort failed to address. What’s particularly frustrating is that tips are automatically added unless you specifically ask for them to be removed. At an all-inclusive resort, that shouldn’t be the case—gratuities should already be included. Guests shouldn’t be put in the uncomfortable position of having to request their removal just to avoid being overcharged. On our departure day, our room keys were deactivated before checkout time, and we had to go back and re-register them just to access our room. No explanation or apology was provided. Given how expensive this resort is, I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short.
Lovely clean well looked after updated hotel

Les restos, les piscines, le bon service du personnel.
Le resto borcados excellent service sauf la nourriture tout était très froid et pas à la hauteur de qualités et du goût sauf le steak.

Child friendly. Large and clean
Crowded. Not lots of Luxury for the price
The steak restaurant and the Chinese restaurant are both very good. The food quality is excellent, and the staff in these restaurants are exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The location of the hotel is disappointing, and the seaweed in the water significantly affects the beach experience. From the moment you arrive, guests are aggressively approached to buy memberships and real estate, which is totally unacceptable for a hotel stay. Once staff realize you are not interested, the attitude changes completely — they stop helping, including with something as basic as reserving a dinner table. Before our arrival, we emailed the hotel six times requesting a reservation for a New Year’s dinner, yet this was never properly handled. Tipping expectations are excessive. Staff openly demand 10–15% tips everywhere, and at the pool or beach, securing sunbeds for a family requires paying around USD 20, otherwise no help is provided. Waitstaff often will not bring cocktails if additional tips are not given, despite service charges already being included. The overall experience feels closer to a 3-star hotel, not a luxury property. Additionally, having to sign an electronic receipt for every single drink is inconvenient and not acceptable for a hotel of this category.
We stayed here over the new year holiday and unfortunately the experience was very poor with our room. When we checked in there were all kinds of maintenance issues: the toilet didn't flush, the tub didn't drain (so we had water in our tub for 18 hours), the shades didn't open, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and the phones didn't work to call down to the front desk. It took us almost a day to get someone to come (they kept saying someone would but then we'd have to remind them and finally on day 2 they got most of the things fixed. During our stay more things kept breaking (the phone kept breaking so we had to go downstairs every time we needed something to ask the front desk, the the other set of shades broke, the shower pressure in our room was so bad we used the other bathroom). I think the hotel just overbooks things over the holidays (a nice waiter told us they were "120%" full) so they couldn't keep up with things. On day 2 we asked to change rooms due to all the problems but they were completely full so couldn't do anything. Besides that, the staff is nice and it's a nice location, but for the price having a broken room that can't be fixed or swapped out just isn't acceptable. I can't recommend coming here as the risk of a bad experience is just too high.
Overall: Nice resort, but Garza is NOT "all inclusive", rather "mostly inclusive." The beauty of all-inclusive is you escape to a fantasy world without money or limits — embrace your inner glutton and live like a pampered rich brat. Unfortunately Garza's approach made it impossible to turn off the "what's this going to cost me" part of my brain, and therefore we could never really relax as deeply as I have elsewhere. At every restaurant, a few menu items cost extra money. (Google menus for examples.) Ordering most food/drinks required use to sign a tab on the server's phone, and selecting a tip was often bluntly encouraged by some of the servers. (They would chase you down if you tried to walk away.) The beach beds were extra cost and even the Chromecast on the TV even required money! I understand that these resorts always have upsells: massages, excursions, private chef dinners, etc. But those are not in-your-face for every meal, snack, or visit to the bar. I saw those goddamn phones about 8-10 times every day and it really dampened the experience. ~~~ The good things! I found the resort to be clean, nicely maintained, and comfortable. Rooms were nicely sized, and quiet from hallway noise. The private pool off our room was excellent, we got good sunshine and felt safe for our baby. Aside from asking for tips, I found the staff to be kind and helpful. ~~~ The "good enough" things All the food was 'good' not 'great', I've had both better and worse in the Cancun region. The portions were generous, I was never hungry. The cocktails were good (sometimes watered down, as to be expected). The coffee situation was sub-par. Drip coffee was awful, and the "café" serves the breakfast restaurant and it was hard to get a grab-and-go espresso drink.
We had an excellent experience at the Garza Blanca. The facilities and restaurants were beyond our expectations and the staff were warm, friendly and professional. In particular, our butlers Sostenes and Arcos went above and beyond for us. From helping with dinner reservations, to answering all of our questions, to even making balloon animals for our baby, we were lucky to have them on our trip! Thank you for the great memories!
Beautiful rooms, highly recommend booking a swim up suite. All of the food and drinks were a 10/10. (Our favorites being the sushi restaurant and the steakhouse.) The service all around was super attentive and exceeded all expectations. More specifically the bell boy Jair made my experience all the more times better. He remembered all of my family members names and greeted us every time we crossed paths. He was extremely friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Thank you Jair for making my family's vacation one that we will always remember! We will definitely be back.
We have been to Garza Cancun many times and each time gets better and better. The staff is so attentive and now recognizes us. The visit began with excellent service from Bell staff including Juan & Candalario (but they are ALL excellent). We were assigned Butlers Arcos and Sos and they were incredible. They handled any issue we had no matter how small, like a noise from the refrigerator (they called Maintenance who came right up and fixed it). We had made our restaurant reservations online and it was easy, but there was a mixup one evening and Arcos and Sos handled it. We remained flexible since it was the busiest week of the year and were prepared to have room service, but they were able to get us a table at our first choice. The pool was especially crowded, which we expected, and we were able to get a chair by asking Erick, Daniel or Marcos (Pool Butlers)during the time we were there. We never expected to get a sunny seat every day, but a few of the days we did and that was amazing. We LOVE the dining hall for breakfast and all of the staff is amazing. We were treated especially well by Jesus and Juan Carlos. Felix is an amazing Manager of the Dining hall at breakfast and the hostesses are cheerful and welcoming. The buffet at dinner is delicious with plenty of choices (even gluten-free!) by Manager Miguel and waiter Eduardo. We also enjoyed a few days at the rooftop pool which was more quiet. Jaciel was so kind to help when our son fell and needed some ice, and he was very attentive to our needs. The bar staff everywhere are experts at their craft. Victor at the swim-up bar is amazing with whatever your thirst demands! Our favorite restaurants are Bocados, Hiroshi and Dao. At Bocados we want to give a special shout-out to Manager Edgar, incredible staff Jose and Martine and Chef (cannot remember his name) who prepared a special dish for our son (who lapped up every bite!). We are treated like royalty at Bocados and we love the steaks. We LOVE Hiroshi, where everyone is incredible and the food is delicious. Alejandro runs a tight ship that is eager to serve no matter your taste. We were competently served by Edwin and Pedro who were awesome. We had a special Christmas Day dinner at Dao. Chef Atlas Ho is amazing and caters to our every need (gluten-free and dairy-free). We love the family-style choices. Adriana is a kind and caring Manager who is loved by her staff and it shows. Every member is right at your side no matter what you need. We had an amazing visit even with the snafu with our return transportation. It seems there was an accident getting to the hotel to pick us up, causing several families to be a bit delayed in leaving the resort. The front desk snapped into action with the help of Bell staff/Butler and, voila! We were in a taxi on our way only a few minutes late. We made our flight with time to spare. We can't wait to go back! We are constantly in awe at the service and kindness we receive at Garza Cancun!
Incredible resort with outstanding service! Our family of five stayed at the Garza Blanca Resort over Christmas week. We stayed in a three bedroom penthouse loft and the accommodation may be the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. There was a tremendous amount of space which allowed us to share time together in the common areas (full living room, kitchen, patio, and rooftop) while each having our own bedrooms to retreat to at night. The room looked spotless upon our arrival. The service was exceptional throughout our stay, above and beyond any other resort in Cancun or Mexico we have been to. For starters, our butlers Sostenes and Arcos, were always available to make sure everything about our vacation was perfect. They communicated with me via WhatsApp and made us feel like we were their family. They were exceptional! I cannot say enough about how responsive and helpful their service was to enhance our stay. Also amazing was Alex at the beach, helping us with our beach chairs and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. He made our days at the beach completely stress free and we felt like VIPs as frequently as he checked in with us. Special recognition to Erick at the pool as well for his help and assistance throughout our stay and Vincente from Room Service who was always a pleasure, greeted us with a smile, and made sure our breakfast on the patio was the best start to the day possible. We made reservations for dinner ahead of time and each night were seated promptly at our reservation time. Food was excellent as were the waiters.
Garza Blanca was wonderful. From the beautiful and quiet beach to the pools to the amazing room with its seaside view. The restaurants were fabulous and varied. (Best chilaquiles I’ve ever had.) And the staff made us feel pampered. From our concierges Armando Rios and Isis, to the bell staff. Candelario gave us a warm greeting every time we passed. From the waiters and bar tenders to the housekeepers who kept us stocked with luxurious towels. I’d give them six stars if I could.
We are generally not all inclusive people but this resort far exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, cold towels meet you as you get out of the car and check in is easy. Every single person we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that was fantastic. Room service was prompt and delicious. Our favorite spot was the rooftop pool with special service from Karla and chair service (and bonus sunglass cleaning) from Michel - who literally started working at the resort thie same day we arrived. The food was better than any all inclusive we have ever been to - we loved the steakhouse and Japanese but truly didn’t have a bad meal. There isn’t a club or much nightlife but we didn’t need it. Hammocks on the balconies were enjoyed by all! We never made it to the spa…only complaint would be the price of the sunscreen but we should have packed more! Our entire family really enjoyed the trip. We did sit at the beach one day 1 but truly preferred the rooftop pool - view and service!
not much
the hotel itself was constantly hot. didn't seem like the air works properly. They restaurants were only open from 7 to 11:30 then 5:30 to 10. If you wanted to eat lunch order room service the middle of the day and wait an hour or go to the pool and order food. then for dinner you ned reservations everywhere even though the restaurants were always half full and in order to get a table you have to eat at 9 to 9:30. A total joke considering how much we paid. latly housekeeping came after 5pm one night. we told them we were realaxing come back in an hour and they said ok but never did. A lot of people working at the hotel spoke very little if any english. I would never go back
Garza Blanca Cancun remains one of the most beautiful resorts in Cancun—stunning turquoise waters, modern design, and a luxurious atmosphere that had made us loyal repeat guests. This was our third visit, but unfortunately, it began with a series of frustrating issues that took away much of the excitement we’d built up. While the staff later worked to make things right, the rough start left us hesitant about future stays, including a 15th wedding anniversary celebration we had hoped to host in the 4-bedroom penthouse. The problems began at the airport. We had prepaid months in advance for a private SUV transfer through Aventour, expecting a smooth, comfortable arrival. Instead, our name wasn’t on their list. After waiting more than an hour in the crowded, hot terminal, we were transported in a standard van—hardly what we paid for. When we finally arrived at the resort, things only got worse: the front desk couldn’t find our prepaid reservation and said we owed an additional $1,700— that had already been paid. After over an hour of back and forth, advocacy on our own behalf, and showing confirmations and receipts, we were told we have to follow-up throughout our trip to see if they could find our final payment. To their credit, the resort eventually resolved the payment issue (on the last day of our trip) and reimbursed us for the difference between the van and the SUV. However, we felt the compensation didn’t come close to covering the stress, time, and effort we spent checking in daily to see whether they had finally located our final payment. Also, this experience put a huge damper on what was supposed to be an end of the year celebration for our family. The situation was stressful, disorganized, and disappointing for a brand we’ve trusted for years. The entire situation left a bad taste, especially as returning guests who had always recommended this property to friends and family. Once we settled in, though, the Garza Blanca hospitality we’ve come to love was evident. The staff were kind, attentive, and eager to make our stay comfortable. Our 4-year-old daughter absolutely loved the kids club—the team running it was wonderful, engaging her in creative crafts, beach games, and fun activities that became the highlight of her days. Dining remained exceptional throughout, with DAO standing out as the best restaurant on the property. The upscale Chinese cuisine was truly memorable—each meal thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Drinks were a mixed experience. Poolside and beach restaurant cocktails tended to be a little watered down for our taste, lacking the consistent quality we’ve enjoyed at other top-tier resorts and at our previous stays at the Garza Blanca. However, the main lobby bar was a completely different story thanks to two incredible bartenders, Mauricio and Leo. Their mixology skills and genuine hospitality made every evening special. Mauricio absolutely mastered the Naked and Famous—his smoky, citrusy version was awesome. Both of them went above and beyond, remembering our preferences and creating a welcoming, personal atmosphere that quickly became a nightly ritual. Garza Blanca continues to have so much potential, but consistency and reliability are key—especially for loyal returning guests. Management, please take note: we’re still considering hosting our 15th wedding anniversary and bringing our family to stay in the 4-bedroom penthouse loft, but this experience has made us hesitant to commit. A resort as stunning as this deserves operations as impeccable as its setting. Addressing these front-end issues would go a long way toward restoring the trust of guests like us who truly want to return.
Garza Blanca was a good experience, the room modern and wide, the food we tried different restaurants, Mexican, Asian, Steakhouse etc, they were all great but I think there’s plenty of room to improve the experience and the service provided by the hotel, waiters and staff throughout the premises, we visited during Xmas time and the place was not even half full of their capacity and we had to been calling for service at the pool, at the beach, at some restaurants, it felt they didn’t care customers are there, the restaurants have menus with items that are not available for all inclusive and also prices which is deceiving because if it is “All inclusive” you shouldn’t be worrying about prices, then I understood that it’s because when you close your check to “0.00” they ask if you want to leave a tip according to what you spent; but if you do the math Pesos to US Dollars you can tell they nickel and dime you, so this makes it awkward because if you tip in cash (even when it says it’s included and not necessary) they expect an amount closer to what they suggest in the check. When restaurants are closed, there’s no place where to have a coffee with a pastry unless you do “Room service”we found a little coffee station at the bar in the Lobby but just the coffee plain and simple, I believe Garza Blanca can become one of the best resorts in the area if they put a little more effort with their customer service.
We went to Blanca Blue last night with a party of 16 for a family reunion. It was our first night altogether in the resort and the restaurant was amazing. Isaac and Abel took great care of us. Half of our party are vegetarians, and they took the liberty of bringing out a variety of appetizers with some meat on the side for those that wanted. The tuna appetizer as well as the Fundido were great and the soups that they recommended were very flavorful. They also brought one of every dessert for us to try and made great recommendations for the drinks.
This is our second or third trip to Garza Blanca. The best meal we had was at the Japanese restaurant.. The hotel is immaculate and extremely modern with bidets in each room. We would absolutely come again. I wanted to mention Hector in the steakhouse. He was very attentive to each of my party of six. I also wanted to give a shout out to the pool bartenders Luis and Gabriel. They were nothing short of amazing and both deserve a raise. Gabriel made us the most delicious passionfruit Mojitos, specialty cocktails, and suggested cocktails that we would like as well. I did not have enough time to get a photo with him, but I regret it now…Until next time, my friend! One thing that did bother me on this trip is when I was eating lunch at the beach a stray dog who was clearly needing water appeared. I believe it was the manager of that restaurant that came over and took my cup away from the dog that contained water. I did not appreciate that since I paid for that water and I paid for the food that I ate at your resort through an all-inclusive plan. Regardless, if I drink out of a cup or a dog drink out of a cup, it would be washed. I was offended that this man was adamant that I shouldn’t be doing what I wish with the cup and water at my table. Never again. People need to stay in their own lanes. And I will and would do it again in a heartbeat.
My family of 7 just got back from a 6 day visit at Garza Blanca. The resort, rooms, pools and beach were all immaculate. We had a swim up suite and it was well worth the money; the only negative is it lacks privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. I can’t say enough about our butlers, Arcos & Sostenes. They were receptive to all of our requests and made my two year old sons week. From balloon animals, small treats at dinner, and a stuffed turtle as we were leaving the resort, they truly made him the happiest kid in the world (which made our lives easier also). This resort also had some of the best food we have ever had at an all inclusive. Bocados, DAO, and Hiroshi were all fantastic. Special shout out to Valentin (DAO) and Luis (Hiroshi) for their fantastic service. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
new nice rooms
less activity
I've always thought the check-n process was slow, but Nancy fixed it! She is amazing. Ana at the rooftop is PHENOMINAL. She is very attentive and kind and never stops working. She is always on the move. Pedro at Dao is always awesome, we don't even use the menu. And Fermin was very helpful with our luggage. We can't wait to come back!
This is our 9th time to Garza Blanca Cancun and we love our visits each and every time and always look forward to our trips. Ana on the rooftop is wonderful and has become the highlight of the trip. Pedro at Dao makes the dining experience wonderful and special.
Garza Blanca Resort and Spa in Cancun opened its doors for guests four years ago. And my wife and I first vacationed there four years ago and look forward to returning a fifth time in 2026! Each year Garza has gotten even more amazing! We travel to different places quite often with Garza Blanca on our list annually. All the staff we’ve had contact with during our seven day stay exceptional!!! Hard to stay away from our home away from home.
A group of 6 traveled to Garza Blanca for a stay from Wednesday to Sunday. Overall, we were very pleased with the resort; it's well-maintained with a nice balance of being approachable and luxurious. Like any all-inclusive, you can pay more for a certain level of services. The pools were clean, and chairs were easy to come by, although it seemed as though the resort wasn't at full capacity. However, "premium" spots were reserved for Elite members. The rooftop pool, which is adults only, was a nice break from the larger pools. The music throughout the day, from the early morning spa-like sounds to the afternoon upbeat music, was a nice touch. It was never at an overwhelming volume, outside of when water aerobics was going on, which only lasted 30 minutes. The beach was clean, and the water was easy to access, but there were warnings of sting rays, jellyfish fish etc., which we saw. This is obviously not something they control (or should), but something to be mindful of if you're looking to spend a lot of time in the ocean. Overall, the food was really good, but of course, the quality and experience varied by restaurant. The breakfast buffet was solid with great options. Room service was not great, the pizza was lackluster with heavy cheese and soggy crust, and the hummus resembled soup with little flavor. The Caesar salad with grilled shrimp was the only decent item. Hiroshi was our favorite, while Bocados Steak House was underwhelming with lukewarm food and a staff that pushed ordering all the sides (which ended up being way too much) and premium wines that were not included in our all-inclusive without any consideration for pairing with our meals. Also, it was disappointing that the option to try these wines, which started at $125/bottle, could not be tried ahead of sampling. When we declined, they tried to bargain the price with us, which felt like we were being scammed. We were also there for a birthday celebration, and they did this thing where they dipped a rose in nitrous oxide, which froze the rose. They then put it in front of the birthday girl and clapped it to cause it to shatter all over her. It left remnants on her skin and clothing. I'm not sure what the thinking was behind this party trick, but I would recommend it be evaluated. A rose alone would have been nice; they didn't need all the theatrics. The food truck on the beach was great, as was the food at the main pools and the rooftop bar/pool. We didn't have a chance to try the other restaurants. One warning to all. I've been to a handful of all-inclusive (Secrets, Dreams, Vidanta) and this was the first where tips were requested at each meal. Instead of finishing and getting up, you had the option to tip on a phone (while the server stood there) and have your bracelet scanned. I'm happy to tip, but there were instances where we felt we were pushed to order more to raise the price, which in turn would increase their tip. This felt deceptive, and I highly recommend you check your bill at each meal, even if you have the all-inclusive plan. At the steak house, they included 7 Grey Goose martinis on our bill, when we had 2, plus other items, including shots, which they brought over for our celebration. After a day of drinking, we didn't want them and were made to feel bad that we didn't consume them. Once removed, our bill was reduced by $150, which in turn reduced the tip amount. I don't think a 20% tip is standard there. We started there because we're used to it in the States, but landed at 10% for more of the week. And when breakfast is $50/person, a group of 6 can have a tip of $30/day, which adds up, and for a buffet, seems high given the server's role is basically drinks and clearing. My point is that, when they bring over complementary things, since it's all inclusive, it felt like they were doing so to get a higher tip, which made the gesture feel inauthentic. We talked to a few other groups that felt the same way. Again, I'm more than happy to tip, and the majority of the staff that we interacted with were so lovely, friendly, warm, accommodating, and well-deserving of a tip. I hope the resort listens to feedback and maybe considers adjusting the approach here. We were not aware of this ahead of arriving, although it could have been buried in the terms and conditions. Lastly, I would recommend checking your bill with the front desk throughout the week. We had a few duplicate charges that we caught. And I did find it odd that they don't email this breakdown, only print it for you. I commented, in jest, 'Do you do this so people can't question it when they leave?' I was met with a side eye. I would return to Garza Blanca and would recommend it; I just would like more transparency on the tipping policy.
My stay at Garza Blanca Cancun was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was outstanding—every meal was flavorful, beautifully presented, and truly memorable. The staff made the experience even more special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Demario, who went above and beyond assisting us and ensuring everything ran smoothly, and Carlos, the bellman, whose kindness and professionalism stood out from the moment we arrived. The spa deserves its own recognition. It was a world class experience. From the atmosphere to the treatments, it was pure relaxation and luxury. Garza Blanca Cancun exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top tier service, incredible food, and an unforgettable resort experience.
We ate at Blanca Blue for lunch and had the best grilled chicken I've ever had in my life! It was grilled with a very light teriyaki sauce and served on truffle risotto. The meat was so moist and flavorful I absolutely couldn't believe it! Paired with the creamy risotto was a heavenly match. The servers Richard and Irving were spectacular!
Love all the food, restaurants and staff. Special thanks to Richard and Omar at Blanka blue. Such a great variety and many choices of foods.
We loved it here. Rooms, restaurants, beach, pool area and lobby bar all exceptional. Great staff made us feel welcome. It was clean anywhere you went indoors or on the grounds. Very helpful staff. Carlos welcomed us. Benjamin was our favourite Gourmet Hall staff. Rosa our lobby bar staff was amazing. So welcoming and friendly with a great smile.
We love the property and the food especially! It’s our 7th or 8th year bringing the family now! Adrian Vazquez was more than friemdly and helpful on this visit.
The best bachelorette trip! Arcos and Sostenes were so attentive and helpful in every single request we had. They delivered exceptional service and were always thinking about how we could have the best experience. Resort was very clean and every single staff member had exceptional service and kindness. Already planning our next trip back!
I wish I could do.below one star. Water in the bathrooms sometimes come yellow . Unfriendly staff. Supposed to be all inclusive however you have to make reservations for dinner and you will never find an opening unless you pay some cash to get a table . Even though we prepaid for the tips with staff get pushing in an embarrassing way to get extra tip , if you do not pay it next time they will totally ignore you .1 Quality of the food was average . Never again in this bad place
Warning We came to Cancun to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and upon arrival to Cancun, we were sent to talk to this man in airport, he was suppose to represent the tourist department. We were offered a free breakfast that included ATV 4 hours ride. This was to happened on my boyfriend’s birthday. We were to pay 100 dollars and it was to be returned the day of the ride. Story short, it ended up to be a time share. We decided to let it go, lost 100 plus taxi fare 65 dollars. Upsetting because it was a day to celebrate a birthday 😡. SCAM.
Very nice hotel, amazing room very clean Amazing service from our butlers Sostenes and Arcos it was a pleasure to meet them ❤️ Great restaurants for all tastes with amazing food Amazing Spa experience Overall it was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.
Amazing family trip to this beautiful resort! We loved our time here and we were so sad to leave. I will break down my review into specific categories. Things we loved: Resort grounds/landscaping: Beautiful lay out and a very upscale Miami Beach vibe. Landscaping and grounds were perfect with nothing out of place. Very clean and well cared for. They play spa like music around the resort in the mornings which we loved. Rooms: We were upgraded to a one bedroom swim out suite and this may have been the nicest room I have ever stayed in, It was huge with a kitchen, living area, two full bathrooms, a soaking tub, king bed,, robes, complimentary bottle of wine and fruit plate, and fully stocked mini bar daily. The swim out pool/patio area was great for relaxing and eating breakfast. Housekeeping was top notch with twice daily service. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and luxurious!! Pools: Pristine and plentiful with the perfect temp! So many pool options that even when the resort was crowded it never felt crowded in the pools and you could always find a near empty pool to relax in. Loved the pool with the clear window on the side!!! Made for great pictures. Food: Delicious and definitely 5 star. We tried all of the restaurants and loved every one! Some of my favorite bites: avocado toast and hash browns for breakfast from room service, shrimp tacos at food truck, fish tacos for lunch at Blanca Blue, table side caesar salad at Bocados, tuna tartare app at Hiroshi, smash burger from poolside bar, lobster roll from Gourmet Hall for dinner, crab Rangoon and sweet and sour chicken from Dao. All the food was delicious and they made some lovely craft cocktails at the restaurants. Check-in/out: Smooth and no issues. We were greeted with a drink upon arrival and had our bill explained to us in detail at check-out. They helped with baggage and our assigned butler escorted us to our room and explained our room features. Spa: Do yourself a favor and just go! The hydrotherapy circuit before the treatment was heaven and the "soul connection" treatment my husband and I got was fantastic. The view from the relaxation area is 10/10. My only recommendation is that they need to provide descriptions of the services on the website/spa menu. Staff: Everyone we encountered was helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Special staff shout outs go to: Luis and Francisco our butlers, Joseau at the front desk, Hermalito at Blanca Blue, Karen at the kids club, Omar at the pool, and Rosa and Victoria at the spa. Truly everyone was great and these people are so hardworking and gracious. Kids Club: So adorable and a beautifully decorated space. My 9 year old went for a few hours while we went to the spa. As a tween girl, she enjoyed the nail spa, face painting and hair braiding the best. The staff was warm and welcoming and we felt completely comfortable leaving her there. Activities: Not a huge activities calendar at this resort but we enjoyed the shows we attended in the evening (Mexican show and Magic show) . We also enjoyed the boutique shops and carousel in the evenings after dinner. Things we didn't love so much: Concierge: They are basically there to push time share sales. After check-in we were whisked away to sit with the concierge who did her sales pitch. They want you to go to a presentation and try to offer you perks to go. I had a general question about the spa treatments and she clearly did not know what she was talking about but kept pushing the presentation. I had to say no several times and then she was done with us and returned us to the butler to finished the resort tour. Use your butler for any needs and steer clear of concierge. Wedding: There was an Indian wedding going on while we were there. It was several events over the course of several days and took over the resort. We complained about the loud music/bass at night and they upgraded our room which was great. Beach: It's ok and swimmable but has quite a bit of seaweed and rocks when you enter. The chairs were easy to get and service was good though. Safe/bracelets: we had trouble with both and needed to have both reprogrammed during our stay. Overall a fabulous resort that I would highly recommend and would love to visit again!!!
Such a peaceful, upscale place with all the best luxuries, great service, beautiful beaches, pools - treat yourself to the best!
This resort was beautiful! We had 5 in our family and I personally recommend the 2 bd suite! We loved the dining room table to sit down, the spacious living room area and the washer and dryer. It was so nice to have 3 showers in the room also. My kids (4 & 8) went to the kids club every single day with or without their cousins! They had so many fun activities and crafts for them to do and they enjoyed it! Food was spectacular! Didn’t have issues getting beach chairs at the pool in the morning after breakfast! I did have to call maintenance a couple of times and they came right up to fix a couple of things in my room! No issues there. Clean resort! I gave a 4 star for two reasons. I wish there was a cafe somewhere that was open during the day and evening that had cookies/light sandwiches/ice cream etc not ice cream for $8 outside of the resort. And my second reason is if we are all inclusive why do we have to check out with a waiter every time we get a drink and they ask if we want to leave a tip on our card. We normally leave cash if the service is good and not on our card and felt very pushed. I was under the impression our all inclusive fee included a 15% tip which we always bring cash to tip on top of that. But I don’t like for someone to ask me to leave an additional tip on my card also. We need separate bracelets if we are all inclusive so we don’t have to check out every single time? Overall we had a good trip night time is quiet but sometimes that is ok! 😊
Beautiful resort with an ocean view from every part. All the staff were super friendly and helpful all around. The food served at every restaurant as well as even poolside was delicious and came with great service.
Beautiful resort and views! Carlos was so kind and helpful!! The pool and beach areas are extremely relaxing. We all can't wait to come back again!
Bianey was the best server in the Garza Blanca main lobby bar! She was fun and remembered drinks we liked..always helped with what to see and do on site! Her attention to detail and cleanliness was great! Best sense of humor! Thanks Bianey!
We had a fun stay at your hotel! Beautiful room, with it being cleaned on multiple occasions. The food st the restaurants were delicious! Some restaurants had faster service than others. I loved how you made special occasions beautiful and memorable with your signs, singing and fancy desserts. Your pools were well heated and prestige! We loved the obstacle coarse in the ocean for the kids. Your child center was amazing and all your amazing kids club staff were absolutely lovely with our kids. We will miss them! I loved the live music in the lobby at night. Our favorite staff member is Bianey in the lobby hostess and waitress! She was lovely and took all the photos we bothered her with and she was so friendly and warm! She’s a keeper for sure! Some constructive criticism; We were a little bothered by the mosquitos 🦟 in which we got rather attacked in the evenings (we ended up seeking out a pharmacy to get anti inflammatory creams and bug spray, for our kids who were welted up). Your spa crew weren’t overly warm and I wasn’t completely impressed by my manicure and the whole experience (outdated equipment) for the cost your charging. Food service was inconsistent (spacing out appetizers and meals) we found at a couple of your restaurants it took a long wait to get our entrees. Maybe in the future it would be a bonus and attraction to families to build a waterpark for kids for more entertainment (and or more adult activities day and night) But overall it was really a beautiful hotel and the majority of your staff was enjoyable.
Our most recent visit to Garza Blanca Cancun did not disappoint! The resort has the best of everything - from the rooms, the wide variety of restaurants offering various food options, and the staff. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is excellent. I would like to give an extra shout to a few people - our butlers Arcos and Sostenes were top notch. They checked in several times a day to make sure our every need was taken care of. Unbelievable service! Lastly, our waiter at DAO, Pedro was great! He made our dinner not just about food, but an experience. Awesome place with even more awesome people! I would recommend this resort to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
I’ll explain the issue, which alone is enough to justify a 1-star rating because security and safety go hand in hand. However, I will also acknowledge the positive aspects that the resort handled well. SECURITY On November 5th, I was swimming in the pool with my 4-year-old daughter near a glass wall. I removed my sunglasses to dive and pose for a video, placing them on top of a marble bollard by the pool. I then turned my back to the sunglasses to bring my daughter out of the pool. When I returned a while later, they were gone, someone had taken them. I immediately asked nearby staff, who advised me to check with the front desk and the lost and found. I did so without success and was asked to return later that evening. After repeated checks, I requested that a formal report be opened because this was not a case of misplacement, it was theft. I provided video evidence showing the exact moment I removed the sunglasses, including date and time, and pointed out two security cameras that could verify the incident. These were not inexpensive sunglasses, they were Tom Ford brand, at over USD $300. Despite this, staff confirmed that nothing was found on the cameras and stated there was nothing further they could do. A surveillance camera failed to identify a theft in a central area of the hotel, a spot with heavy traffic. What if it were necessary to access footage to solve a more serious incident? That would mean security is flawed. Or, if the system works for serious cases, then they ignored my report because they judged it to be minor. This means either the system is unreliable or they don’t care about small thefts. That conflicts with the purpose of choosing a resort to relax, especially a premium one. Furthermore, this is evidence that guests are vulnerable while the resort MUST be accountable for it, that’s the risk of their business. Other resorts do have a protocol for handling thefts. If you, guest, choose to go to this resort, you may trust yourself to be cautions but understand that you are VULNERABLE. PROS I won’t neglect the pros which I had great experience. ROOM: Spacious and luxurious, with great features like automated curtains, soft-touch linens/towels/robes, goose-feather pillows, comfortable mattress, a smart toilet, safe, fridge stocked daily, Nespresso machine and treats, both shower and bath tube, beautiful ocean/pool view, digital thermostat, and a balcony net. Loved it! SERVICE: 24/7 availability, smooth check-in/out, accurate billing, and courteous staff across all areas including cleaning service, bar, restaurant, pool, and kids’ space. Well-trained and genuinely helpful. FOOD & DRINKS: The all-inclusive option is highly recommended and worth the cost. Breakfast is buffet, lunch and dinner are à la carte. 24/7 room service is available for food and drinks. I had unforgettable meals at DAO, Hiroshi, and Bocados, service was impeccable. Drinks included in the package were excellent, with experienced bartenders. KIDS’ SPACE: Well-maintained, friendly staff, open from 9 AM to 10 PM. I booked a couple of dinners for kids where they took my daughter and other kids to a restaurant with a kids’ menu from 6-7 PM. LOCATION & BEACH: Beachfront hotel with a green reserve behind. Quiet area, minimal beach traffic except for guests. Ferry port nearby for Isla Mujeres trips. The drawback: water isn’t turquoise due to depth, rocks, and some seagrass. The hotel makes efforts—divers remove rocks, tractors clean sand, and they offer inflatables for kids, paddleboards, and kayaks. Jet ski rentals: USD $70 (1 person, 30 min) or USD $100 (2 people). Final and general comment: I truly appreciate the staff’s effort to create a rich experience for guests, but the lack of a protocol for handling theft undermines all that hard work. Security must be taken seriously. Without it, guests will not return or should not be there. Note: Despite numerous communications with the resort, I have not received any explanation from management to date.
My friend Sandra and I were bombarded at the airport by a representative named Francesco who signed us up for a tour. We went to a very long presentation where they tried to sell timeshares. We did not sign up. When that date came for the tour it was pouring outside. When we got to security gate at 6:50am and no tour bus showed up. They did not call to inform us they weren't showing up. We had to call around. Then finally they said sorry due to the weather they will come on another day. The next time came around and they didn't show up. We were livid as this was the first time in Mexico and we paid to visit the pyramids. We finally complained to the airport and they gave us an email to send our voucher receipt to. They emailed is to say they came but no one waa there but that is a LIE. Until now we have not been given the $120 refund owed to us. We are very disappointed Garza Blanca Cancun, the customer service and see how money hungry these people are. We need our refund now! Beware of these people because they just want your money! Lies, wrong room! Overpriced, management are lying and dont want to provide any information! No business cards, no claim book. 140$ per person for all inclusive?! 280 per couple and no food?! All food very cheap
Came for my wedding and staff stole my engagement ring. Not only that, the food game me (On my wedding day) and ten other guests food poisoning
Wow! What a wonderful experience. A beautiful, lovely hotel, and the service is truly beyond expectations. From the moment you arrive and hear “welcome home,” you actually feel it — the amazing staff really make it true. A very special thank you to Fermin, who was always smiling, always kind, and took care of us throughout our entire stay. He made sure we had drinks, gave us great recommendations, helped us with our luggage, explained everything with so much patience, and genuinely made our stay perfect. He even surprised me with a birthday cake, a sweet “happy birthday” card, and sang Happy Birthday together with other staff members — it was such a touching moment that I’ll never forget. We couldn’t ask for more.❤️
Garza Blanca is the best resort I've ever stayed at. The staff is so welcoming and nice. The staff is very attentive to your needs. The hotel itself is very clean. The restaurants they have are top notch. It is the reason I decided to become a member. I love Garza Blanca!
The worst experience ever. These people are spamming me with emails nonstop before during and after my visit it feels like harassment at this point so I have a lawyer getting involved They keep sending the emails nonstop and they have no way to stop it. There is no unsubscribe button and I cannot do anything about it.
The dinners in the restaurants were excellent and the staff were excellent. the rooms were super clean and the service was good.
The worst part of the stay was having to sign a bill every single time we got a drink. I would get a coffee and then have to wait for the staff to go get the machine and scan my bracelet and then when the bracelet didnt' work because it never did and then I would have to wait of the staff to print the receipt and I would have to sign it. the whole point of being at an all inclusive was so you can just grab and go but every time room service, any bar, at the pool bar everywhere it was so annoying.
We visited Garza Cancun in late Oct for the third time. We love heading down there! Amazing time, delicious food, beautiful weather and people. Some of our favorite staff members this time were Noe, Joel, Julio and Jorge down on the beach. Alberto at the Food Truck made us AMAZING seafood. And Alex who brought our room service multiple times was an absolute gem. We look forward to our next stay at Garza!
Diego is the best!!! We were there for 2 weeks and Diego by far made the trip way better. One of the best servers we've ever had anywhere. Food is very good as well!
The place is beautiful, beyond expectations. A new level of high end experience. Everybody treats you with so much kindness and attentiveness it really makes you feel special.
My husband and our three kids went with our best friends who are members here and it was the best vacation ever. The food was so amazing, the atmosphere was so awesome, but our favorite part was the staff, everyone made our trip the best time and I was sad to leave because I got to know some really great people. Our kids really enjoyed kids club, Kimberly and Alejandra were so amazing with them! Fermin helped check us in and out and was so kind, he helped us get some extra pool toys for our kids to play with. And last, but definitely not least, our favorite bartenders, Luis and Danny made the trip so much fun and had us laughing so much, we definitely can’t wait to come back! Can’t forget Noe either, he helped me with my Spanish and was such a fun server from Blanca Blue (the restaurant by the pool). Thank you all for the best week ever!
Absolutely amazing resort starting with Ana are concierge. So helpful. Our butlers, Andres and Josue, we're both amazing. Checking in multiple times daily to see if we needed anything. This is the 3rd time they have been our butlers and we just love them. The staff at this resort is so wonderful. Ricardo at the pool is fabulous with arranging our chairs, umbrellas and towels, he is like family, we look forward to seeing him every visit. Our favorite waitress on the Rooftop is Karla she is amazing, as well as Ana. The bar tenders at the Rooftop Gabriel, Angel and Miguel make amazing drinks and are so friendly and fun. We had amazing waiters at all the restaurants. Shout out to Ben at breakfast in the Gourmet Hall as well as Juan Eduardo. Pedro at DAO is our favorite waiter by far, always providing a DAO experience for us with special dishes, drinks and desserts. Bocardos waiter Martin was fantastic. Hiroshi waiter Xavier was amazing. Blanca Blue waiter Irwin was fabulous. I cannot say enough about the amazing staff and the amazing food at this resort. We highly recommend this resort!
I had a terrible experience with the Tafer sales presentation. I was fully prepared to attend the full 90 minutes, but due to the way their staff handled things, I was unfairly charged a penalty for leaving early — even though it wasn’t my choice. The sales manager who dismissed me acted as if everything was fine, but later I found out they penalized me anyway. It felt manipulative and dishonest. I was respectful and willing to stay for the full duration, but they still found a way to charge me. This left me with a very negative impression of Tafer. If you’re invited to one of their “presentations,” be extremely careful — make sure every detail is clearly documented before you agree to attend. What should have been a simple experience turned into an upsetting and costly situation.
Absolutely fabulous place, good food, swimmable beach. Water aerobics with amazing enthusiastic leaders - Edgar, Mao, Lama, Ernesto -was a lot of fun. They were very friendly and full of joy! Special shoutout to Dao Chinese Restaurant with quality food, design and hospitable staff. Staff everywhere were attentive and helpful. Food Truck Beach restaurant with Gimer in charge was another spot to recommend. Moved our vacation and hopefully we will come back. Definitely recommend to everyone!
Shout out to Atilano, our bellman. He remembers us from trip to trip. Pleasant, efficient and very kind. He really makes us feel like 'family'
Garza Blanca was very nice. The service was outstanding. Food was incredible. Yahaira at the front desk was so welcoming. She connected with my wife and 3 boys and provided outstanding customer service. She was always positive and was a great support throughout our stay here. Everything is extremely clean and everyone is always willing to go above and beyond to create a great experience. We will be back next year!
We stayed at Gara Blanca Cancun with friends. We had the best time! The service was incredible and the food was unbelievable! The pools and grounds were so clean and love how no matter which pool you’re at, it never feels crowded. The beautiful carousel is a wonderful evening activity. Our butlers Luis/Francisco were fantastic and really took care of us throughout our stay. We could not have asked for a better vacation!
What fabulous service! The service staff anticipates your every need and makes it happen. Our group was so spoiled. Fermin, the bellman, always met us with a smile, remembered our family and took care of us! Thanks Garza Blanca!
This is the third time we have visited Garza Blanca, and it definitely does not disappoint. Accommodations are wonderful, restaurants are 5 stars for sure. But truly what makes Garza so wonderful is the staff. Our top shout outs are Gabriel, Angel, Miguel, Karla, and Ana from the rooftop. So fun and friendly. The activities were made fun by the absolute best crew with Edgar, Ernesto, Mau, and Zama. Jaun Carlos and Benjamin in the gourmet hall could not be any sweeter. Keeping the best for last with Ricardo, who now feels more like family. We can't wait to return.
Ambiance, food and service was excellent. The ocean view accommodation offered a spacious balcony and well appointed.
When to visit my Daughter-in-law while she was there stay for 5 days working as a traveler Makeup Artist. Bridesbychristine
Garza Blanca was the best resort we ever visited. The rooms and facilities are modern, beautiful and extremely clean. The food was top notch and the staff was amazing. Special mention to our Bellboy Carlos who would walk us everywhere, Anna and Karla on the rooftop, and our the checkin staff. This place also had the best hotel gym ever.
Adolfo is the best. Highly recommended check it out you will enjoy it. Love the hotel and the restaurant come and see it u will love it
We did not like the food at the Buffet, very limited options. Staff was not accommodating. Food at restaurants was average, service very poor. Most of the staff had an attitude specially the steak house Bocado
Staff are excellent. Whether at the pool or beach someone always checked on No we arent. Food was excellent and really enjoyed the ability to leave tips electronically.
The service is excellent. It never fails to impress. It has become our favorite place where we go twice a year. We appreciate the consistency.
Best All inclusive resort in Cancun from the food to the service to all the attention to detail this resort is hands down the best.
Had an incredible experience at Garza Blanca Cancun. The resort is stunning, clean, and luxurious with amazing food and beautiful ocean views. Special thanks to Yahaira at the front desk — she was so welcoming, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this resort for a relaxing, high-end getaway!
They go above and beyond to make your stay memorable with everything they do.. they do not disappoint. The food is outstanding as is all the staff from the pool waiters to the evening waiter waitresses and bartenders… if there is something they don’t have they will get it for you. I love my time there.
Great family experience. We have twin four year olds and a two year old. Everyone had a blast and the staff did a great job providing them with everything they need. We will go back! Food and drinks were great. I’d recommend all inclusive package. Dinner prices if you don’t have it add up quickly.
Always an excellent experience at Garza Blanca. The staff are incredibly helpful. Thank you to Carlos, Javier and Silvester for all the help. Also Luiz, Joel, Rosa, and Jorge.
Garza Blanca is truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resort is absolutely stunning — modern, luxurious, and surrounded by breathtaking ocean and mountain views. The staff go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, always greeting you with a smile and anticipating your needs before you even ask. The rooms are spotless and beautifully designed, with every detail thought out for comfort and relaxation. The food at the restaurants is exceptional — especially at Blanca Blue and Hiroshi — easily some of the best dining experiences I’ve had at a resort. Whether you’re lounging by the infinity pool, enjoying a spa treatment, or taking in the sunset from your balcony, Garza Blanca delivers pure luxury and serenity. It’s the perfect place for couples, families, or anyone looking to truly unwind in paradise. Highly recommend — I can’t wait to come back! And thanks for Bill boy his name is Fermin he was very nice and friendly!
We were so excited to experience the Garza. We have been to several 5 star resorts in the Cancun Rivera area. We were given a suite with an amazing view. We were in a hurry to get to diner we didn’t check out the balcony. Diner at the steakhouse was amazing. We came back to our room and wanted to enjoy the balcony and view and the balcony was filthy it looked like blood stains and something had been dragged all across the balcony, huge black marks all over. Dust in the corners just filthy. We called they assured us it would be cleaned the next day by the time we got back from breakfast. It didn’t get cleaned. So I called again they assured us it would be priority and by the time we got back to get ready for diner it would be cleaned. Still nothing. Got ready for diner and assured us and still nothing. Took a video of the balcony went down and spoke to a manager showed her the video and she upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite. It was amazing. The view the room was amazing. The fan in the front room wasn’t working called a few time it never got fixed but we still had the best experience in that room. The food at all Restaurants except the Mexican was beyond amazing. The staff even at the Mexican restaurant was just beyond great service. The reason for the 3 star is at the infinity family pool the pool attendants were holding out the best seats for the highest tip. Members should have a different area just for members it would really help with any confusion of seating. One of the pool attendant said we could have a cabana wich was just a cover over the seats for $250 for 4 hours with a bottle included we were all inclusive and it was on top of every one else I had to laugh. I did mention it to Fransisco who I think was the manager of the family pool and he could not believe that someone offered that to me. It’s supposed to be open seating after a certain time. It really was disappointing. First day we got up early and got two seats next to the infinity poll. An hour later the pool attendant was helping a family find seating and I kid you not they put their chairs so close to us that the chairs were touching our chairs,So we moved. Never went back to the family pool. We spent the rest of the time at the roof top that was amazing. The food the service the drinks made up for the horrible experience at the family pool. Eduardo went above and beyond and made our time an experience to cherish at the roof top pool.. after the second day he knew what we wanted and needed without even having to ask. Now that was 5 Diamond service. Eduardo was an amazing person. If you are a beach and ocean place this place is NOT the resort for you. We thought we could make it work but it is like trying to swim in swamp water. No sargasso at the time. Arturo in the Japanese was the best server and so kind. All the Restaurants had the best servers who went above and beyond. The steak house was super hot people looked so uncomfortable it was so hot. Definitely need some air conditioning in there. They did seat us outside so we did enjoy our meal. The restrooms outside of the rooms looked like they had wear and tear and every single one the bidet remotes were just hanging falling off and none of them worked. We had a great experience we took advantage of isla beach. The huge turn off was the treatment at the infinity family pool. Noi I can’t say enough about that experience it was probably one of the best we have ever experienced the restaurant and the entrance to the Moussi was Gorgeous. I can’t not mention Ventura in the Breakfast buffet she was the best. Even tho she was working so hard she always made sure we were taken care of.
The staff was so so helpful in every aspect we thoroughly enjoyed every moment!
The staff was amazing and we loved the food options. Very kid friendly. The butlers went above and beyond to ensure we had anything we needed.
I didn’t stay at this resort so my review isn’t about the resort itself. However, I felt compelled to provide my experience with the service I was provided on a time-share marketing pitch experience. Straight out of the airport, my husband and I were tackled by someone who offered to help us under the false premise of selling us a valued couples massage at Garza Blanca Resort. Unfortunately, and to my regret, we bought into this. Juan Miguel Quiroz Velasquez sold us a couples massage for $60 and told us it was inexpensive bc we were going to visit their hotel and be able to compare the value and provide them with references. When we got to the hotel, the promised 90 minute time share presentation turned into 4 hrs. We had breakfast and then the extensive presentation began. Michael, our guide, was a great guy, great personality but towards the end when I declined signing their offer, I must say I took offense to his interpretation of me not wanting to sign due to the fact that I “must have some undealt with trauma that if I don’t seek therapy for, I may unwillingly pass it on to my children.” That completely threw me off and I didn’t appreciate that. We were then transferred over to yet another office where they again tried to sell us their pitch and when I declined again, they insisted on asking me why, numerous times. I had to firmly say I was just not interested and for him to stop looking at my husband in search of a “yes” bc I was dead set on saying “no”. He looked at my husband and said “good luck man” as if he felt sorry for him bc I was so tough. When we went to get our massage, they tried giving us just one voucher instead of two as promised. I had to call a supervisor for them to agree to give me two massages which was what I purchased. The worst part of this experience was supposed to be the best part, the couples massage we paid for. It wasn’t even at Garza Blanca. It was 35 min away which was about 5 min from our resort. We wasted hours at Garza Blanca under false pretenses and my short vacation was cut short half a day bc they lied to get us to come to Garza Blanca. The spa wasn’t even an actual spa. It smelled like mold and not something I would even pay $20 USD for. I just cut my losses and I’ll never do this again. For the owner of Garza Blanca, I pray you are reading this bc I heard great things about your coming up story and how you started off as a taxi driver and have built this billion dollar empire. We weren’t the only ones who went through this experience. Everyone on our shuttle experienced the same thing. This 90 min presentation turned into a wasteful and horrifying experience. You have beautiful grounds but the attitude we received when we declined was quite demeaning and disappointing and from someone who spent their hard earned money to support your economy, I must say I will never ever recommend your resort based on my experience today. I do wish everyone well as I know people in Mexico work really hard. I hope the service improves for the sake of everyone planning to spend their money here.
