Very warm welcome on arrival and throughout stay. Our room overlooked the main road yet it was very quiet during the night enabling a good uninterrupted sleep. Comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good and served in a tastefully decorated room. Plenty of choice and cooked fresh on individual orders. Location good for visiting Aylesbury and Bletchley Park with excellent pub/restaurant (The Bell), close by for evening meals (recommended). Nice garden area. Good parking space. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Although described as a hotel I felt a more appropriate description would be a high class bed & breakfast. Bathroom compact but with all facilities. Very small TV set. Bar consisted of small area adjacent to reception desk.

Very quaint and cute. Great location and super friendly staff. Great garden for the dogs and easy to access. Breakfast in the morning was also lovely.

There was nothing to not like. All needs were met. The only thing I’d say is there’s a cat on the property, so just a heads up for dog owners 😊

Ein sehr schönes kleines Hotel, welches mit viel Liebe geführt wird. Es wird der schöne, Charakter mit Liebe zum Detail erhalten und moderne Annehmlichkeiten eingerichtet Beim Frühstück kann man den Eichhörnchen im sehr geschmackvoll gepflegten Garten zusehen. Das Frühstück wird frisch nach den Wünschen der Gäste zubereitet

Typische englische traditionelle Unterkunft. Schöner Garten! Netter Empfang, Einweisung in Haus und Umgebung (z.B. wo bekommt man etwas, wo kann man gut Abendessen). Ausreichend gutes Frühstück, die Eigentümer fragen was haben möchte. Internetverbindung war in Ordnung.

Das Badezimmer war etwas klein/ eng.

Great location for village and Aylesbury’s surrounding areas. Manager a great character and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast excellent Parking plenty for the size of hotel. Hotel itself is good old fashioned welcoming place. With great history There is a large park to the rear and 3 pubs walking distance. Garage few minutes down the road. Plus a small village supermarket.

Mike is a terrific host, couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The whole place was full of character and our room was very comfortable. West Lodge will not disappoint.

Beautiful house & location. Perfect for us; we were visiting Aylesbury & Bletchley Park. The room was very comfortable & clean with a view over the lovely garden. There was ample choice for breakfast & all very tasty. The staff were super friendly.

Beautiful little hidden gem! Garden view we had was lovely. Breakfast was perfect, staff was lovely, make sure you check breakfast times as we missed breakfast sadly on the Monday, our fault for not reading the welcome pack.

I visit regularly and it is always a lovely stay. It is very pretty and cosy. Staff are lovely and so helpful. Food is good.

I liked everything

The building and the grounds.

Rooms very small, bathroom tiny. Cobwebs everywhere, no AC, a fan that just made noise. There was a wedding on so bar staff not very attentive. We asked for ice to be delivered to our room as my husband cut his foot in the sauna - they said yes, but they didn’t bring it. We were told breakfast was served from 7, so we arrived at 7 (as we had an event to get to), to sharply be told by the lady in charge that that food wasn’t ready and breakfast wasn’t ready until 7:30pm. There was a really awful smell in the corridor leading up to our room (like wet dog) and dirty cups and glasses left outside guests rooms. Not very welcoming. We travel a lot, and often use budget hotels, but spent more on this occasion so expected more - sadly, we didn’t get it. Such a shame as it was our wedding anniversary and we were celebrating my husband getting over his recent surgery.

Lovely and memorable stay. Having access to the beautiful garden as a particular highlight. We enjoyed sitting out there in the evening, and admiring the flowers and wildlife.

The welcome at reception was helpful and informative. The room was small but had at you wanted. Had a beautiful view of the garden. Bed was comfy and the room was very quiet leading to an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast was included and was excellent.

I had a small single and being quite tall I had to mind my head using shower and toilet. That said my bed was super comfy. Evening was clean. The tv didn’t really work. The breakfast location and service was amazing. All told would definitely return

We had a lovely stay at West Lodge. We prefer to stay in somewhere more personal than a chain hotel. We had room 7 which was up its own little staircase and it was bright and comfortable. The ensure was absolutely fine and it made a refreshing change to have a good sized bath towel. Because they weather was so warm we had brought our own fan with us but I know the hotel have some for guests' use. The garden was super and a relaxing place to sit in the evening sunshine. Breakfast was lovely with wonderful bacon and it was good to see a jar of marmite on the breakfast buffet table! Thankyou to our hosts - we will see you again in July 😊

The host was a very kind, cheerful, helpful man. I was able to have an early breakfast on race day. He had good tips for local restaurants. The Chiltern Hills are a lovely destination to visit in the spring. Nice ambiance in the hotel.

Lovely comfortable bed, good linen and towels. Good shower. Very good breakfast in lovely breakfast with pretty garden to look at. Polite attentive, informative host. Interesting history of the building and its past connections. Great location.

Decorating needs updating and new curtains. It looked a little tired but wouldn’t want them to change the classic feel.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this place! It’s very cute and British, in a beautiful building with garden, and the people are really lovely. The breakfast is also the best I’ve had in a very long time, and it’s all very allergen friendly. Can only recommend!

A lovely hotel set in a beautiful garden. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was superb. An added bonus that there is a huge park a very short distance away which was great for walking the dog. Thank you for providing such a lovely restful break.

A very pleasant stay - nice warm room, good breakfast and attentive hosts. In the summer the garden looks a really nice place to sit out. We would stay again if in area.

Breakfast and attentive staff were really good. Catered well for Vegan diet. Quiet location but easy to find.

Trouble accessing wifi. Basic toiletries didn't meet same standards as the rest of the facilities.
