Very welcoming and friendly staff, comfortable bedding and I really liked the common area which invites the guests to join in and socialize together. Haven‘t used the kitchen, but it seemed it contained many utensils if you want to cook for yourself. I would for sure come back if I am in Matsumoto again.

There could be a bit more space to keep your luggage in the shared bedroom and I noticed some of the house slippers were a bit smelly.

Einer der besten Hostels in denen ich bis jetzt war. Die Gastgeber sind super nett und helfen bei allen Anliegen sei es Aktivitäten, Restaurant- oder Onsenempfehlungen. Zudem handelt es sich um ein schönes traditionelles Holzhaus, welches aber bei den wichtigen Stellen, wie Bad oder Dusche, modern ausgestattet ist.

Cet établissement est incroyablement chaleureux, il est très bien positionné dans Matsumoto. Il permet de faire beaucoup de rencontres et les gérants de la guest house sont très friendly et professionnels !

Me encantó, la anfitriona, Mayo, era una chica muy amable que además nos ayudó con un problema que tuvimos con la pérdida de una mochila que formaba parte de nuestro equipaje y que hemos podido recuperar gracias a ella! Es encantadora y todo esta perfecto

Bien pour une auberge de jeunesse. Plutôt sympathique.

La chambre un peu vieillotte et les deux lits un peu justes en taille pour deux franchement.

La convivialité d'une auberge de jeunesse, le calme en plus. Une hôtesse exceptionnellement rayonnante et à l'écoute, d'excellent conseil quand aux visites et restaurants alentours. Et la possibilité de faire un tour en vélo, la cerise sur le gâteau.

Hele ontspannen en leuke sfeer in dit hostel met heel veel goede tips voor eten en winkeltjes in Matsumoto. En wat een lieve hosts! Genoten van ons verblijf.

Odlični domaćini, koji su imali puno preporuka za restorane i barove. Jako ugodna atmosfera. 15min od Matsumoto stanice, par minuta do dvorca - lokacija odlična. Blizu su i dobri restorani, onsen i dućan.

המיקום היה נהדר, מול מאפיה ובית קפה, מאוד קרוב למקדש וכמה צעדים מרחוב הצפרדעים, כמה צעדים לצד השני ואנחנו מגיעות לטירה של מאצומוטו. נהננו מאוד מהשירות, יש שם מטבח משותף, חדר רחצה ושירותים משותפים וגם מכונת כביסה משותפת, הכל היה כל כך נעים ושקט. הכל היה נקי, לא הרגיש שאנחנו חולקות את המקלחת עם עוד אנשים. היה מאוד שקט כי הבעלים דאגו לכל המתארחים בהוסטל, המון יוצאים מההוסטל לטיולים בבוקר המוקדם והמארחים דואגים שיהיה להם את כל מה שהם צריכים (שקט בלילה, הסברים על מסלולים וכו׳). היה תה וקפה בחינם שמאוד שימח אותי אחרי הרבה זמן שלא היה לי. המקום יפה כל כך, נעים מאוד, המיטה הכי נוחה שישנתי בה בכל החיים שלי. המארחים היו נעימים ממש ומסבירים פנים. אהבתי מאוד!

X שירותים ומקלחות לא נמצאים בתוך החדרים אלא משותפים (חשוב לי לציין שהם היו נקיים ממש ולא הרגשנו שאנחנו חולקות אותם עם עוד אנשים)

What a wonderful hostel! We stayed here for a few nights with our baby and had such a nice time. The facilities are excellent, the staff are super kind and helpful, everything is very clean and well organized, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. It feels like they thought of everything to make their guests' stay as pleasant as possible! The location is perfect, with many good places to eat and drink just a few minutes' walk away. We highly recommend it!

L'atmosphère vraiment cozy de cet hostel qui a conservé tout le charme des maisons traditionnelles japonaises tout en ayant tout le confort qu'on cherche dans une auberge et un beau salon avec différents instruments, jeu etc., l'auberge propose différentes recommendations pour les restaurants, onsen, visites (suivez-les, vous ne serez pas déçus), possibilité d'emprunter des vélos gratuitement et tout est très très propre! Je serais en voyage solo dans ma vingtaine, je serais restée plusieurs nuits ici.

Ça reste une auberge, les serviettes sont payantes et les salle de bains et toilettes se trouvent à l'extérieur de la chambre.

L'ambiance, les propriétaires sont adorables. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Matsumoto.

The staff was incredibly nice, and the lounge is quite good. I only stayed for one night but could see myself staying for 5 days with no issues. The kitchen is rather well equipped, the showers and toilets are clean, and the bunk bed was spacious and had rather easy stairs to climb. They had great tips on what to do, where to eat and onsens as well, so even if you don’t know what to do in Matsumoto, you’ll be able to get ideas while you’re there! It was also super close to the castle and to a cute little bar that plays jazz records. I’ll stay here again if I ever return to Matsumoto.

よくないではないですが、ドミトリーだと、ベッド以外ではスペースはないので、あまり大きな荷物は向かないかなと思いました。 館内はとても清潔だったのですが、トイレが自動だと思っている人もいるのかな？と思うことがあり、英語等で書いてあげるといいのかなと思いました。

Es war ein so gemütliches Hostel, dass ich am liebsten länger bleiben wollte. Die Schlafzimmer und das Wohnzimmer waren sauber und schön ausgestattet. Die Mitarbeiter und andere Reisende waren alle sehr freundlich und man konnte im Wohnzimmer gut miteinander quatschen oder entspannen.

Loved my stay here, the staff was really friendly, we had bikes for free and they even let us taste their self made wine which was so good!

It's one of the nicest hostels I have visited. It is such a welcoming, relaxing, respectful atmosphere. It's a mixture of old traditional Japanese, modern and minimalist. The owner is a lovely guy who has travelled the world and has probably stayed in many hostels himself and curated one that probably was thought about and designed with all the best things he has experienced in all his travels. There are lots of little details, like a lovely book of recommendation for visiting the area, shampoo in the shower, free bikes and washing machines etc that makes every travels life a little bit better.

Super lovely hostel. The luggage store was so easy (before and after check in), the lady who checked me in was so friendly and helpful. The kitchen and shared space was great.

Great common space, nice kitchen with sharpened knifes, free washing machine. The hosts are very nice and willing to help. And best of all, they provided portable shampoo and body soap kit so you can go to sento (public bath) without worries!

There is no exhaust system in the kitchen so windows need to be opened for refresh air. However, sometimes there are people smoking right outside the window.

Inchecken aan de late kant, maar kan bagage kwijt bij de lobby. Het matras is traditioneel, en dus niet heel dik.

The vibe was really nice and relaxed. The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful, not just doing their job but actually making an effort. The rooms and bathrooms were really clean the whole time, which I appreciated a lot. Beds were very comfy too. The common areas were great to hang out in and the kitchen had everything you needed. Location-wise it was pretty convenient, close to everything I needed. Overall it just felt like a safe, chill place to stay. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone travelling through!

De sfeer, het personeel, de keuken, de muziek. Alles in dit hostel is op en top geregeld. De locatie is helemaal perfect. Dicht in de buurt van het kasteel, een prachtige tempel en vele goede restaurants. In het hostel ligt een boek met fijne restaurant aanraders. Heel handig. Je kunt gratis wasjes doen en tegen een hele kleine betaling de droger gebruiken. De 4 persoonskamer was perfect voor ons gezin. Ik zou hier zeker opnieuw heen gaan.

Location and staff were amazing. Close to Matsumoto castle and also close to a lot of good restaurants. They had an entire folder of recommendations for food and public bathhouses. Free bike rental and also the opportunity to leave your bags before check-in and after check-out at the property.

There was not really a good place for me to sit. The bar was too low and the kotatsu was annoying to sit at for me, since i cannot sit like that for a long time before my legs hurt.

Der Gemeinschaftbereich ist wirklich sehr schön. Die Karten über Aktivitäten und Restaurants in der Nähe ist wirklich sehr hilfreich. Die ganzen kleinen Illustration sind super kawaii.

Zimmer ist wirklich sehr sehr klein.

Normalerweise fühle ich mich in Hotels nie besonders wohl, aber dieses coupotato ist einfach sowas von gemütlich und nett, und ich habe trotz gemischtem Schlafraum (nicht geteilte waren schon ausgebucht) wunderbar geschlafen auf dem gemütlichen Futon! Besonders genossen habe ich, dass man dort die Küche benutzen darf und selber kochen kann! Das Personal ist sehr nett und man fühlt sich wie bei Freunden zu Hause! Alles ist irgendwie unkompliziert. Auch der gemeinsame Aufenthaltsraum ist sehr gemütlich und lädt zum Entspannen ein! Ich wär wirklich gern länger geblieben, falls ich nochmal in die Gegend komme, ist das auf jeden Fall meine erste Wahl!

This was easily the best stay in Japan so far. The house is spacious and cozy. The communal spaces are great for meeting interesting travellers. The staff were fantastic. The location is perfect. Its a little further than the train station but right in the centre of all of the Matsumoto attractions. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm room with plenty of personal space and the most comfortable sleep I've had in Japan. I will absolutely be coming back.

The atmosphere. Everything was comfortable. And one of the girls working there was especially kind and would recommend places to go, visit or eat.
