Very charming property. We booked family suite which was very charming, I especially liked tatami room with very beautiful japanese style wooden decorations. It also included kitchen and japanese style bathroom, which included bathtub and shower which was very relaxing. Staff was very friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we could need. In the morning we received japanese style breakfast which they serve in their restaurant below rooms. We got japanese egg omlet, grilled salmon, claypot rice, miso soup, pickles and buckwheat tea. It was delicious!

החדר שלנו היה מחוץ למלון בשביל צדדי וזה משהו שהיינו שמחים לדעת לפני. בנוסף המדרגות לעלות לחדר צרות, האמבטיה נמצאת למטה ( זה פרטי אבל בשתי קומות שונות ) והחדר למעלה. בנוסף אין מזגן שמספיק לכל החדר ולכן יש מאוורר- לנו זה לא הספיק

La localització està molt bé a 5 minuts del tren i del centre. El personal va ser molt amable, ens va explicar el funcionament de tot i ens va resoldre tots els dubtes que tens. La zona comuna és gran i amb algunes joguines per nens que el nostre fill va gaudir molt. La veritat és que és una casa entranyable, acollidora i molt xula. Llits còmodes i tot i que els labvos i dutxes són compartits, no vam haver de fer mai cua per res i els altres hostes també ho van cuidar tot molt. L'habitació era molt gran i els llits molt còmodes. Pots deixar la maleta mentre acabes de passejar per la ciutar, per nosaltres aquesta opció ens és primordial i molt contents.

L'esmorzar va ser una mica negatiu ja que no hi ha opció de triar res i era estil japonès, amb un nen de 7 anys esmorzar arròs, salmó, sopa miso i verduretes doncs va esmorzar poc i el suc de poma que vam demanar ens el van cobrar, quan és normal que el nen no vegui tè. La part bona és que te'l fan al moment i el producte és bo, però una mica de flexibilitat sobretot pel nen, ens hagués anat molt bé.

Very peaceful stay in the centre of matsumoto Staff was incredibly friendly and the servicd was great for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was great, some of the best we had during our trip.

Nous avions la chambre au dessus de la partie restaurant donc c'était calme, mais les autres chambre ont l'air d'être dans la partie où tout le monde passe pour aller se doucher, donc peut-être pas aussi calme ... Après forcément la demi-pension a un coût ...

松本城を観光した後、徒歩で移動できる便利な立地です。 周辺の街並みもきれいで、とても素敵な雰囲気でした。建物は少し古さを感じましたが、とてもきれいに管理されていました。 スタッフの方々もとても親切に対応していただき、食事も美味しかったです。 特に、朝に炊きたてのご飯は本当に最高でした！

ただ、浴室まで少し距離があり、不便に感じました。 また、私には照明が少し暗く感じました。

The staff were exceptionally warm and genuinely friendly, going well beyond the usual Japanese politeness. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, both in terms of the food and the service.

Loved the old traditional style.

食事をする所から宿泊する建屋に移動する所が段差があり、ちょっと危ないかなと感じました。 廊下と同じ高さにするなどした方が、宿泊者の怪我抑制に繋がればと思います。 あと、休憩室に用意頂いていた湯呑みですが、出来ればドリップコーヒー用のカップがあると良いなと思いました。

お料理がとても美味しかった。 スタッフの方々と、気さくに話できて 良かった。

街中の宿で、便利で料金的にお得感は ありましたが、子供の多い家族向けには 向いてないように感じました。

素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。とくにお料理が最高でした。オーナーさん、奥さんもとてもステキな人で癒されました。また松本に行った際にはぜひ利用させていただきたいです。 このお宿を目的に行きたいです。

L'emplacement est parfait, le personnel est adorable. Le logement est calme. Les jus de pomme et l'eau ainsi que le thé et café sont très appréciables. La proximité du château, des rues commerçantes, des restaurants et du musée d'art sont très pratiques.

Pour moi au prix du dîner, il manque de la viande, il n'y avait que du poisson et la viande manquait dans le menu. La salle de bain tout en bas sans lavabo à côté n'est pas hyper pratique pour 8 personnes mais elle a le mérite d'exister!

Excellent à tous point de vue: le Léo est charmant et typique. les hôtes sont très accueillants. Tout est fait pour le confort des voyageurs. Le repas était très raffiné. Nous nous sommes régalés!

We hebben enorm lekker gegeten en het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk. Onze zoon is veganistisch en hij kreeg heerlijk vegetarische gerechten , terwijl wij smulde van de vis.

民宿主人的熱情及早餐親自下廚，體驗日本當地人的住房，家庭房型房間空間十分足夠，只是沒有電梯，大型行李全靠老闆搬運。

家庭房的某個臥房沒電扇，冷氣在客廳，冷風比較拉不進來，建議可放兩張日式床墊給蹋蹋米房間，那裡有冷氣。

Sehr schönes, großes Familienzimmer mit eigenem Waschbecken und Toilette. Duschen waren in einem anderen Teil des Hauses: klein, aber sehr sauber. Die Betten und Kopfkissen waren sehr bequem. Personal sehr nett. Da Matsumoto relativ klein ist, befindet sich alles wichtige in Laufweite.

Wir haben Halbpension gebucht: man muss wissen, dass das Essen sehr japanisch (u.a. mit viel Fisch und Miso) ist. Das ist vielleicht nicht für jeden etwas. Die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut!

Personal war wunderbar. Lage ist toll. Aufenthaltsraum war super für uns als Familie. Badezimmer sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Danke

Abendessen und Frühstück war nichts für unseren 6 jährigen Sohn aus Europa. Am zweiten Tag gab es Brötchen statt Reis. Schlage vor die Europäern schon am ersten Tag zu servieren.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans ce ryokan et nous en gardons un excellent souvenir. Le ryokan est plein de charme, très bien entretenu et idéalement situé. Tout le personnel a été d'une grande gentillesse et a rendu notre séjour très agréable. La demi-pension a été un véritable coup de cœur. Les repas étaient raffinés, délicats et préparés avec beaucoup de soin. C'est une expérience gastronomique que nous n'aurions probablement jamais vécue dans un restaurant en ville. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans hésiter.

This is such a unique place. We had a great stay. The location is excellent just a few walking minutes from train/bus station and castle and the dinner and breakfast were an authentic experience

It’s a bed & breakfast not a hotel, early check out 10 am, no variety of food, no choice at breakfast. Was presented with a breakfast that was not suitable for my son. They refused to accommodate him. Accept he’s a slightly fussy eater. Had to make my own instant coffee at breakfast. Also super expensive. Most expensive property I stayed at. If the dinner had more choices it would have been better value.

食事です！夕ご飯もお願いしましたが、満足感が高かったです。朝ごはんの炊き立てご飯が美味しくてうれしくなりました。こんなにお米が美味しいところはなかなかありません。 スタッフの接客も大変好感が持てました。

ロケーションは良い

3階建てのアパートみたいな部屋に宿泊でした。お風呂も家庭風呂しかなく、提携先の大きなお風呂屋さんに歩いていく始末。 朝食は質素でおかずが少ない。また朝食がワンオペでは無理があります。お茶や水は頼まないと貰えず、セルフで取りに行く感じではなく、家族で水分が無いと食事が出来ない者がいて胸につかえてしまい大変でした。

Quarto espaço e muito confortável. Pena que não há vistas das janelas. Antiga casa tradicional japonesa remodelada para se tornar um Ryokan. Corredores estreitos e banhos comunitários, porém com chuveiros excelentes.

O café da manhã poderia ser melhor com maior oferta de variedades e pensar um pouco nas restrições alimentares de hóspedes ocidentais. Veja que se deve escolher entre arroz ou pão no café da manhã. Não é possível ter os dois. Também não nos permitiram tomar um último banho nos banheiros comunitários após o checkout.

The location was phenomenal. Very central. 10 min walk to train station 10 min walk to the castle or the frog market. Really enjoyed the traditional feel of the place and breakfast was tasty

We had the family room in the attic/second floor. It had its own sink and toilet. It included a delicious fresh cooked Japanese breakfast every morning. Only a ten minute walk to the castle.

There was a very bright exit sign in the room. The stairs in the room were steep so not for everyone.

This place was kind of quirky being made up of several old houses but the result was a wonderful old inn. The staff were young, friendly and very welcoming. We had a wonderful conversation with our hosts at breakfast. This will be one of our favorite memories of our stay in Japan.

Not a complaint about the property, but we neglected to reserve dinner ahead of time. If we were to go back I would like to eat dinner at Mitsubikiya.

The Milky Way was visible 12-3am so awesome. The dinner and breakfast was generous and good.

It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it though… I do wish they give 2 pillows per guest (instead of only 1) and the pillows were the bean type… which didn’t offer much support. A pillow menu or more pillows would have been much appreciated.

A beautiful historic building and a spacious room.

We stayed in the family suite. It has a private toilet and shower. It also has a kitchen. There is a bedroom on the third floor and the main living area on the second floor has a tatami mat room, dining room, and bedroom. We are a family of 4 and were very comfortable. The shower room is on the first level and the stairs are steep. We loved staying here. We also recommend trying the dinner, which is kaiseki style. Breakfast was great too.

Everything! Super clean and professional, while also being homely. Great amenities and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms and bedding, beautiful architecture. There were other guests but we did not bump into anybody walking around, very peaceful.

Only problem would be if you cannot walk up stairs - but I think they have rooms on the bottom floor too so would probably be fine if you give notice.

Maison ancienne donc commodité relativement simple et pas forcément adapté à tous le monde notamment pour la chambre de notre logement. Il faut relever quand même qu’il y a la climatisation et que le personnel fait tout pour rendre le séjour agréable

とにかく朝食が美味しいです。お味噌汁やだし巻き卵どれも丁寧に作られていて元気が出ます。土鍋で炊いたご飯は最高でした。スタッフもとても優しく居心地が良いです。 水回りの設備がとても整っていて快適に過ごせました。

宿泊した部屋にもよると思いますが、非常口サインのライトが明る過ぎて夜はなかなか寝付けなかったです。消防法のことがあるので仕方ないと思いますがもう少し夜は部屋が暗くなるような工夫があれば助かります。

It was very spacious for our family. We had an apartment style rental with 3 rooms and a kitchen. It would not be good for elderly because there were steep stairs. It was super clean and new. The sit down breakfast was also delicious.

I had to find and pay for parking, but it was very easy and affordable. It was also a bit tricky to find.

Aunque la ubicación es muy buena y es a un buen precio, y las instalaciones son un edificio tradicional con todas las comodidades, todo muy limpio, impecable, lo mejor es la gente que lo atiende.Todos muy amables, si se dificulta el idioma, con el traductor y paciencia lo volvían a explicar, el desayuno tradicional abundante y delicioso. Es un agradable lugar para quedarse.

The property is not fancy, but is comfortable and very affordable. The location is very near Matsumoto Castle and convenient to other sights in Matsumoto. The staff was absolutely lovely, and the kaiseki dinner was excellent.

Das Haus ist der Hammer. Ein spannendes Labyrinth aus Gängen und Zimmern, einfach wunderschön, sauber, gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein Traum! Die Betten waren super (nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich), das Zimmer geräumig und gemütlich. Das Personal ist total freundlich und herzlich, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir durften sogar die Waschmaschine des Hauses kostenslos verwenden. Total nett! Das Abendessen ist auch super, unbedingt mitbuchen! Ein Geschmackserlebnis nach dem anderen.

Es ist ein altes Haus und daher sehr hellhörig. Manche Dielen auf dem Boden knarzen und quietschen, wenn jemand drüber läuft, die Zimmertüren schließen mit einem "Klack", von dem die eingefügten Glasscheiben klirren. Die Geräusche hört man im ganzen Haus. Wenn nachts jemand auf eines der Gemeinschafts-WCs trampelt umd die Tur zuscheppert, bekommt man das mit. Da denkt man, man hat Gozilla zu Gast. Auch Gäste, die schallisolierte Häuser gewohnt sind, entsprechend laut reden und sich nicht den Gegebenheiten anpassen, hört man deutlich. Das Haus ist also nicht das Problem, sondern die "Mitbewohner". In unserem Zimmer (Familienzimmer mit WC) leuchtete das Notausgangsschild die ganze Nacht, es war recht hell. Sicher eine Vorgabe für die Sicherheit, an der die Betreiber nichts ändern können. Wer es nachts dunkel und still haben möchte, sollte dringend eine Schlafmaske und Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen.

I loved how calm the entire experience was. All guests were cognizant of other people staying in common areas and how sound travelled in the old building. I loved the breakfast, the bath room, and the amenities in my room. A great touch was the location and reading the history of the building.

No private bathroom in my room. But that was negligible since the walk only took 10 seconds.

Diese Unterkunft war für uns ein richtiges Erlebnis. Im vorderen Teil des 170 Jahre alten Gebäudes befindet sich ein Restaurant, das Kaiseki-Abendessen anbietet (haben wir natürlich genutzt und es war ausgezeichnet). Darüber und im hinteren Teil befinden sich die Zimmer. Badezimmer und WCs waren zur gemeinsamen Nutzung mit anderen Zimmern, das hat uns aber nicht gestört weil es wirklich sauber gewesen ist. Das japanische Frühstück war sehr gut, obwohl es für einen Mitteleuropäer sehr ungewohnt ist. Wir möchten uns beim Personal bedanken, dass es so freundlich und hilfsbereit war.

Es war etwas hellhörig, das ist aber dem Alter des Gebäudes geschuldet.

スタッフの皆様の対応が素晴らしいお宿でした。メッセージでこまめに連絡を取ることが出来たので安心して滞在できました。今回は朝食のみ利用させて頂きましたが、土鍋で炊いたごはんの炊き加減が絶妙で、いつまでも温かく、美味しく頂きました。また、季節の筍のお味噌は家族全員が、「美味しい！」と感動していました。寝室は布団でしたが、マットレスが素晴らしく久々に熟睡できました。随所に優しさが込められた素晴らしいお宿でした。本当にありがとうございました！

Beautiful traditional ryoken, conveniently located. Staff were exceptional. Futon beds were extremely comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were amazing - the best dinner that we had in Japan. Clean, beautiful property.

The whole experience was just amazing. We were a group of 6 travelling together and we all agreed staying here was the best decision we made this holiday. Definitely choose the dinner option if you are wanting an authentic experience - the food and host was perfect. If you are looking for food and accomodation from your westernised home country, this is not for you.

Traditional feel, good Japanese breakfast and great location for the sights of Matsumoto. Communal area had facilities (fridge/ kettle etc) and teas/snacks. Family room upstairs was a very generous size, especially for Japan.

Breakfast was tasty and it was nice to try local food. The serving area was nice and tidy and staff were very kind. The property had an interesting style to it which was a exciting experience Futon beds were surprisingly comfortable

Our room was on the upper floor, and during our visit, the AC was barely adequate to keep the room warm due to likely no isolation. More of an inconvenience than a dislike, that some door lintels were quite low and I managed to bump my head a couple of times. Also, because of the way the property is made, the “old part” is connected to the new part, but because the connection is not enclosed, you technically had to take a step in an exposed area to move from one area to another.

The staff is authentic, friendly and very helpful. We felt very welcomed at Mitsubikiya. The food and resented is regional and of high standard. The rooms are excellent. The Mitsubikiya is located in a very convenient spot. 9’ walk from the station and the castle. When returning to Matsumoto I will definitely stay there again. The group room has a playroom which is relaxing and great for playtime with children. I can wholeheartedly recommend to stay at this place.

Wij verbleven van 29 t/m 30 maart in Mitsubikiya en hebben genoten van een bijzonder en authentiek verblijf. Het hotel is gevestigd in een prachtig oud gebouw, wat direct zorgt voor een unieke sfeer. De faciliteiten worden gedeeld, maar dat past goed bij de charme en beleving van deze accommodatie. De medewerkers zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam en zorgen ervoor dat je je welkom voelt. De ligging is ideaal voor een bezoek aan Matsumoto Castle, dat op korte afstand ligt. Een absolute aanrader is het diner in het hotel. De eigenaar neemt je mee op een culinaire reis door de Japanse keuken – met zorg bereid en met veel aandacht gepresenteerd. Kortom: een sfeervol en persoonlijk verblijf dat wij zeker kunnen aanbevelen.
