Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Questi appartamenti hanno una posizione eccellente. Direttamente sull'oceano, vicinissimi alle piscine e con un panorama spettacolare su Faial e sui faraglioni. La sola posizione è da 10. L'appartamento e l'arredamento sono un po' datati ma nulla di insopportabile. Letto enorme e comodissimo.
L'appartamento è un po' umido e l'arredamento è un po' datato. Non ci è piaciuta la vasca con la tenda e di notte abbiamo dovuto combattere con delle zanzare ma la posizione e la possibilità di godersi albe e tramonti sul terrazzino hanno compensato tutto!

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Große Ferienwohnung mit allen was man benötigt. Die Lage ist top - direkt am Meer mit einem eigenen Schwimmbad. In der Küche ist eine Dolce Gusto Kapselmaschine vorhanden. Die Zimmer werden täglich großzügig gereinigt, wenn man so wünscht - alles andere als normal für Ferienwohnungen. Es ist eine Spülmaschine vorhanden und auf der großen Teresse lassen sich schöne Abende verbringen.
Kein großer Kritikpunkt, aber die Klimaanlage war doch sehr kalt - kurze Betriebsdauer einstellen. Betten sind seeeehr groß, leider nicht die komfortablesten unserer Meinung nach

Bathroom - shower curtain is a little bit annoying, it was weirdly low (sink, bathtub), bathtub is too narrow.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Nice large terrace, very well equiped kitchen with most of what is needed to cook. Property's next to the swimming pool and the sea. Near-ish to the center (10 minutes walking).
There should be a door in each side of the long row of apartments to avoid unnecessary walking, especially with heavy bags, since they do not allow vehicles in the facility. Also, the cleaning party's timings were a bit unexpected, they could appear at 09:00 or at 14:00 depending on the day (potential meal time). There's a paper specifying the price you'll pay for anything broken, even glasses or dishes... It feels unnecessary, taking into consideration the price paid. Coffee capsules were missing most days. There were two beds even if we asked for a double one. Bathroom's mirror needed a replacement, it was scratched.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Struttura incantevole in riva al mare, ogni appartamento dispone di un patio che si affaccia sull’oceano regalando colazioni e cene con viste eccezionali. L’interno è spazioso e lo abbiamo trovato ben pulito. La struttura offre il servizio di pulizie e cambio asciugamani. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. La posizione è ottima sia per raggiungere anche a piedi il centro di Madalena, la ferry e il sentiero delle vigne. Infine di fronte alla struttura vi è un ottimo ristorante.
L’unica nota dolente è stato il ritrovamento, in un paio di occasioni, di blatte nell’area cucina, il che è stato molto spiacevole, visto anche il target (4 stelle) della struttura. Speriamo procedano con una disinfestazione più incisiva

Christina an der Rezeption war superfreundlich. Super Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen. Whalewatching-Tour ab Lajes mit Espaco Thalassa sehr empfehlenswert. Meeresbiologe an Bord, der sich sehr gut auskannte.

Vlakbij alles wat je nodig hebt, supermarkt, bakker en heerlijke restaurants Vlakbij de haven Bovendien lieve mensen die met je mee leven en denken. Fijne dagen gehad.
Onder het onderlaken zat een beschermhoes met plastic. Qua hygiene top, maar om op te liggen iets minder fijn

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026El apartamento es muy espacioso y tiene unas vistas espectaculares. Tiene una habitación con una cama enorme, muy cómoda. También dispone de cocina, con hervidor, horno, microondas, placas, lavaplatos, jabón y trapos. Te ponen te y café de cortesía y te lavan los platos o los ponen en el lavaplatos. Limpian la habitación a diario, cosa que todavía no había visto en un apartamento. Dispone de una terraza enorme con dos tumbonas y una mesa con sillas donde desayunar o comer con unas maravillosas vistas a Faial. Te facilitan zapatillas y albornoz. Recibí un mensaje de la empresa nada más llegar a la isla con las instrucciones para acceder al apartamento. Funciona con código, no con llave. Tiene parking privado dentro del mismo recinto.
Por decir alguna cosa, los platos grandes no caben en el lavaplatos.

-Pas de jacuzzi alors qu'il était annoncé. -on n'a pas reçu le bon mot de passe pour accéder au logement. Bien vérifier qu'il est complet.

They had almost every thing. The only thing I was missing was the toaster.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026It’s such an amazing place to stay: it was clean, the view of vineyard and Faial, the sun going down behind Faial, private terrace with sun loungers, shower with great water pressure, the kitchen had everything, public swimming pool is next to the property. If we ever get a chance to be in Pico again, we would definitely stay here again!

Une série de maisonnettes toutes neuves, avec vue sur les vignes et l'océan. Un décor de rêve ! Très bonne literie. Immense terrasse. Excellent accueil. Très organisé. Stationnement gratuit facile au sein même de l'hôtel. Supermarché à proximité.

Il manque une machine à laver, soit dans l’appartement soit dans les locaux communs. Pas de sortie directe dans la rue depuis l’appartement, il faut faire tout le tour par la réception à l’autre bout.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Wunderschöne Aussicht von der grossen Terrasse über die Reben hinweg zum nahen Meer. Äusserst modern eingerichtet. Voll ausgestattete Küche. Tägliche Reinigung. Die Lage ist sehr gut und man ist innert 10 min zu Fuss bei der Fähre, Restaurants und Whale Watching/Diving Anbietern.
Man kann die Fenster und Terrrassentüre nicht offen lassen, da es sehr viele Mücken hat. Draussen gar nicht ersichtlich aber dann drin etwas mühsam. Mückengitter wären toll.

The property itself is fantastic, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor space in a beautiful location. The sunsets are stunning when the weather cooperates, and the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for self-catering. During our stay, we unexpectedly experienced a power outage in the apartment. The owners and their team were easy to reach, highly responsive, and focused on finding a solution. As a result, we needed to move to another apartment, but they took care of most of the arrangements while we were away. They apologized sincerely through multiple channels and even provided financial compensation for the inconvenience. We greatly appreciated their professionalism, support, and commitment to ensuring we still had an enjoyable stay. Thank you very much for your assistance. We truly enjoyed our time at Joeiros Do Mar and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026The facility is situated at the edge of an old vineyard next to the breakwater and looks across the water at Faial. At the edge of the property is a shoreline walking trail that allows you to walk to town in 5-10 minutes. The cottages are well laid out with the living area looking out onto the vineyards and ocean.
The kitchen was not well stocked, there were only 2 of each type of glass and very little in the way of oven pans. If you travel with another couple they would have to bring their own glasses to enjoy a glass of Pico wine on the patio, a shame since so much of Pico is wine-centric. The bed was large, with good linens but way too hard. I like a firm bed but this went beyond firm to hard with absolutely no give to them. Finally, when we opened the door to the cottage we were hit with an overwhelming odor or mold and dirt. It disappeared after we opened the windows so perhaps a simple fix for the owners to keep the heat pumps running when the cottage is not in use. There were also no napkins, paper or linen, which is not something you typically expect to buy for shorter stays.

Nearby free parking. Very quiet. Perfect location, very close to the center and port of Madalena. 2 nearby supermarkets. We've been traveling a lot, and this apartment is one of the best we've had.
I wish we could stay here longer...

El alojamiento estaba muy bien pero tenía un olor a humedad bastante desagradable creo que es algo importante a tener en cuenta ya que no se pagan precios económicos para que esas cosas no estén cuidadas

Reviewed Nov 11, 2025Great location, close to everything but also calm and stunning views from both sides. Apartment was very well equipped with all you can need to cook etc. Nice surprise was daily cleaning.
Two small things: - iron in the apartment would be great - water was just warm but if you prefer hot shower/bath it was not enough

Reviewed Nov 3, 2025A localização é muito boa, perto da Madalena e com excelentes acessos. Para além disso, tem tudo pertinho, desde restaurantes a supermercados. A casa/apartamento está muito bem equipado, super confortável e perfeito para idas em família.
De quando chegamos não ter o berço que havia sido pedido e aprovado. Contudo, o gestor do aldeamento foi 5 estrelas e num instante resolveu a situação, tendo ainda deixado mais equipamentos de apoio para o bebé de 7 meses. Parabéns!

Reviewed Oct 8, 2025Wir waren in der Nebensaison in dieser schönen Anlage; also wenig Menschen rundherum. Das hat uns sehr gefallen. Einchecken zu später Stunde war mit gemailten Code völlig unkompliziert. Es ist ein sehr großzügiges Appartement mit riesiger Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Was will man mehr? Der Fußweg am Wasser entlang nach Madalena dauert höchstens 5 bis 10 Minuten. Wir sind vielen sympathischen, entspannten Madalenern begegnet. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2025Die Lage am Meer ist super, ebenso mitten im Ort und nahe bei der Fähre. Ideal für Wanderer, Automiete unabdingbar, da man sonst nicht weg kommt. Insgesamt schöne Häuser mit Blick auf Faial. Waren das vierte Mal im Laufe einiger Jahre hier, die Insel ist ein Juwel.
Eine Kochplatte hat nicht funktioniert. Fernseher im Schlafzimmer hatte keinen Empfang. Die Rezeption war selten besetzt, Kommunikation per Whatsapp wurde empfohlen (?!?). Erste Möbel / Dekore müssten aufgefrischt oder ausgetauscht werden - wir waren vor 10 oder 12 Jahren das erste Mal da und es wurde nicht viel gemacht. Das betrifft auch die Küchenausstattung, wo die Gläser im Schrank bereits blind waren.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Die Unterkunft war sehr schön. Die Lage ist traumhaft! Es gibt Parkplätze direkt an der Unterkunft und hinter der Anlage gibt es Naturpools:)
Wir hatten einen Jacuzzi auf der Terrasse, der allerdings nicht mit Wasser gefüllt war. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, der Jacuzzi sei kaputt. Klang eher wie eine Ausrede.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025Die Lage ist toll. Direkt am Wasser, eine Badestelle direkt vor der Tür. Die einzig vernünftigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten der Insel (!) sind zu Fuß erreichbar Das Häuschen ist nett. Schon etwas abgewohnt, aber noch im Rahmen. Ein riesiges Bett!! Die Küche ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, die Sessel und das Sofa im Wohnzimmer sind OK (wenn man es mag, quasi auf dem Boden zu sitzen...). Der Esstisch und die Stühle dagegen sind groß und bequem. Das Mobiliar draußen ist gut.
Der Vorhang in unserem Schlafzimmer hat gestunken. Das ist uns erst nach ein paar Tagen aufgefallen, nachdem das Raumspray, das vor dem Einzug großzügig versprüht worden war, sich verflüchtigt hatte...

We have a specific air-conditioning setup that we are comfortable with, so we kept it on while we were out. However, every day we came back with the setup being changed to the default of 16 degree Celsius. Just why? 😅 We forgot a picnic blanket in the apartment and realized only 3 hours after checking out. Contacted the reception via WhatsApp but never got a response despite them reading the message. We stopped by again 2 days later to ask about the blanket but they said they never saw it. The blanket just magically disappeared somehow 😕

Reviewed Sep 8, 2025La terraza con las vistas al mar es magnífica, el apartamento está genial, la cama de 2 metros es muy cómoda. El servicio de limpieza diario es un lujo. Todo este apartamento me ha parecido un lujo. Estar al lado de la piscina municipal y de las naturales, tener parking, lavaplatos, lo espacioso que es el apartamento y la terraza. Es que me arrepiento de no haber reservado más días aquí, solo para disfrutar el apartamento.
Sería supremo si tuviera lavadora, pero vamos que es una minucia al lado de todo lo bueno que tiene.
