I had a wonderful stay at Canopy by Hilton Jersey City. The hotel is in a prime location, within easy walking distance of restaurants in downtown Jersey City, Whole Foods, and the PATH train for easy access to Manhattan. The room was very comfortable, and Hilton Honors members receive free Wi-Fi. The front desk also provides complimentary water upon request. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

rooms have a modern decor and are decent in size. the beds were not overly luxurious, but comfortable enough. the bathrooms were modern, clean, with separate room for toilet and shower - very useful when travelling in a group.

the AC in the room didn't work, and it wasn't repaired during our stay. we were offered a room on a different floor, but we were travelling in a group, and logistically we couldn't be on a different floor than the rest of the group. We also asked for a high floor and were told that the top floors were not for guests, which I found it to be a strange comment, and untrue.

Staff was helpful and the parking options nearby were close, fair priced, and safe. We will absolutely stay here again to save from NYC prices and crowds. A short walk to the train station, clean room and hotel. We enjoyed the bar at night and had good service there as well. Service to room was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend!

Convenient location, close to public transport, and food options. Mostly clean and facilities were great. Staff were pleasant and friendly, except that 1 receptionist lady working on 11 July morning.

Soundproofing was bad. Can hear the housekeeper every morning knocking on the guests’ rooms and the cleaning ongoing next door. Was granted a late check out till 1pm by the reception but no coordination on their end to ensure guest’s comfort. Two people (seemed like the housekeeping) came by to knock on my door within minutes of each other to ask the same thing.

While the location of this hotel is great and it's a relatively new hotel, there is always a headache when you stay here: Most recently - on a day when the outside temperature was in the high 90s- my room had no air conditioning. The outage had been ongoing for days and their response to bring me a fan. They should have moved me to the other Hilton hotel in Jersey City, something I had to do on my own. Oddly, there have been issues with heat in the winter. At check in, there is routinely a long wait because they have only one or two people processing guests.

Great location within Jersey City with nearby parking ($28 per day). Close to many restaurants, and next door to PATH train station into NYC. Facility is beautifully decorated.

It is pricey depending on time of travel.

The pink hair lady at the reception really ruined my whole experience! The restaurant forgot to charge my breakfast to my room, and I insisted on paying. SHE JUST GAVE NE A RANDOM NUMBER, $48, WITHOUT CONFIRMING! I have to go confirm with the restaurant myself, and it turned out the breakfast only cost $26. Is it hard to be just a little bit more diligent???

The hotel is beautiful. We loved all the storage for our bags and seeing the Welcome Trisha on the TV was a really nice added touch.

Very good location even if overpriced

After we checked out, someone else’s breakfast bill for the final morning was added to our room charges and billed to our credit card. With some difficulty, I reached the front desk by phone to point this out and request removal of the charge. They said they would look into it. But I never heard anything more from them, and with some annoyance just paid the extra $80 myself for a hotel breakfast we didn’t have. Over a month has passed since we stayed there and it wasn’t worth the hassle to get our $80 back. The whole experience reinforces why I try to avoid chain hotels when traveling.

Stayed here for two nights for a business trip and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Isis at the front desk and Ricky at the restaurant. Convenient location and my room was clean and quiet. The shower was very nice, and the bath products were great. I'll be back!

I do not like the way the beds were made. The duvet is not inside a duvet cover. The sheets are not fitted. Not a big deal, as everything else was lovely.

I stayed at the Canopy in Jersey City yesterday, and although my stay was short, the experience made it all the better. I especially wanted to recognize Nisha for making my visit so memorable. She assisted me during both check-in and check-out and was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond expectations. What truly makes a beautiful hotel stand above the rest is an exceptional team, and the Canopy wears that proudly. Every interaction felt warm and professional. The restaurant staff and Studio Menu were incredible as well and added even more to the overall experience. Thank you again, Nisha, for your kindness, hospitality, and professionalism. You truly made my stay special.

Good size room with seperate dressing area and large walk in shower,. Comfortable large bed and excellent, quiet air conditioning. Large open foyer with comfortable seating area. Very good location.

Facilities are limited and lay out of bar and breakfast area a little odd - the bar is shoe horned into a corner and there is limited furniture in the lounge. Very expensive for this standard of hotel and very disappointed to have additional taxes added when the booking said the price included taxes

Location was perfect. Path station was very close and it was very easy to go to Manhattan. There was a car parking nearby. The room was large and new. Overall it is a very good hotel.

The room could be cleaner, it needed a deep cleaning, especially the carpet under the bed was very dusty. And the towels were very old they were ripping apart.

Room was huge, staff were exceptional, location was great. Arrived at 10am, checkin was 3pm, but the lady at reception organised us a room so we could check in by 10:15am. Magic

We chose this hotel based on the reviews, convenient location to NYC, and the price. We were so happy with our decision. Getting to NYC via the PATH train was easy - the Grove St station is right by the hotel. You can also get to Newark, NJ, which we did to see an event at the Prudential Center during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the AC was wonderful, and we loved the fruit infused water available in the lobby. We also ate at the hotel restaurant, called “The Studio,” twice for breakfast because it was convenient with our travel plans. Note you may want to leave extra time if you eat there - as the service is slow based on the amount of people being served and the staff available. Would definitely stay here again!

I loved everything about this hotel. I love the scenery me in my wife got married in we stayed here.

Schöner Stil und man ist sehr schnell in Manhattan! Man hat im umliegenden Bereich auch viele Cafés und Restaurants.

Convenient location in vibrant Jersey City, 8 minutes ride from WTC, spacious rooms compared to NYC standards, small bathrooms, walk in shower, satisfying AC, daily housekeeping, good breakfast, nice staff, shabby carpets on wooden floors should be replaced soon (better: removed). Don' t miss Hudson River Waterfront Walkway!

It's hard to categorize this hotel. It doesn't look like a limited service hotel, however it is not a full service one - it fact I would say it is a NO service hotel. 1 person covering reception (that is mostly missing in action hiding in the back room with the front desk empty) and 1 person looking after the bar, that's it. No proactive upgrade for Gold by either Hilton system (in fact no recognition of the status at all), had to ask, receptionist just typed something in silence and gave me the key - no details given (figured out in the app that she managed to upgrade to a Deluxe room). No details about the hotel, it's services or F&B offering (and elite member credits) were given on check-in. The Deluxe room layout is odd. It's of a good size, however is mostly empty space. No proper desk or table, no proper wardrobe. No place to sit to put your shoes on near the entrance, no place to hang a coat either. The bathroom area consists of 3 interconnected mini rooms that house coffee machine/storage area > sink and some lounge seating (not sure why anyone wants to sit in front of the sink?) > and the shower and toilet in the end. Hilton Gold/Diamond members get a $15 food&beverage credit instead of a breakfast that will obviously not cover anywhere close to the proper breakfast here, but you can spend it in the bar (it will cover 1 beer with tax&tip, lol) - the bar is well stocked with some good beer from 2 Jersey City craft breweries that you will struggle to find elsewhere.

The building amenities are nice and the room was large.

The lobby was beautiful and inviting, the room was large and comfortable and the location was walking distance to some great restaurants.

My only complaint is I wish there was complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Gym was great. Restaurant was delicious and had options for everyone. Staff was extremely friendly and caring.

The A/C in our room was very loud so I couldn't sleep well.

My husband always stays here when visiting for business. This was my first stay. Hotel is beautiful, holiday decorations were gorgeous. Great location for access to Manhattan and many shops and restaurants in Jersey City. Only downside was the noise from the room beside us. I didn't realize the walls were so thin but we could hear every word of their TV and phone conversations.
