Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan

Good value.

Breakfast was inconsistent. Hot one day, cold the next. Hotel was tired and worn. Fine for me, not the family.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful, worked with me to extend my stay for the best possible price, lots of breakfast options available. Clean room. But mostly the staff are what make me want to go back!

Only complaint is the hot tub wasn't that warm and the jets didnt seem to be working. However staff did mention they had been having problems with it.

I liked how easy it was to locate and how central it was to amenities. The room was spacious and had the basic necessities.

The pool was very cool, my kids wouldn't go into it cause it was too cold for them. As well the water in the room took a long time to reach a warm temp to give them a bath.

Staff was excellent. Very clean and comfortable.Breakfast was great.

Rooms could use an update in curtains and beddiing.

Staff was friendly, good price.

The room ac unit and thermostat didn't work properly. We got a jacuzzi suite and the room was quite warm after the evening soak. The ac unit would run for 5 min then kick out even when adjusting the temp as low as it would go. Made for an uncomfortable sleep.

Price was good. Breakfast was good.

Stains on the sheets. And not enough extra pillows available.

breakfast was great

3 of the staff were great but the one that wasn't soured our whole experience at this hotel. other patrons smoke in the entrance walk way so you can enter or exit without a face full of smoke.

It was very clean and well taken care of The hot water took a bit to come on and had to fiddle around but eventually got the hang of it it’s outdated and I totally expect that but it was Soo clean and staff were awesome very nice and spacious room would highly recommend

Good

Cleanliness

The Location.

Edgy

Very compete hotel with awesome staff

The room was comfortable

Our toilet was leaky and water ran constantly

Very nice , and clean . Staff was great !

Didn’t have the breakfast

The location is wonderful and very quiet, and breakfast also.

The carpet should be replaced, and it looks like a very old and smells.

It’s was good

The swimsuit pools

Breakfast was good. Wish they had waffles tho :)

Weight room to be open later, as we got to the hotel late after 10pm from west Edmonton mall and family planned outings- the exercise room was closed!

The staff were amazing and super friendly. Loved the lady that was checking us in,she treated my autistic 4year old son with patience and love. Even bought him alittle toy from the vending machine which made his day! Only thing that i thought needed, was the pool could be alittle warmer but not a deal breaker! Location and everything was perfect. Tha k you for the stay. Cant wait to come back again soon

Temp of pool. Everything else was amazing

Good

None

Everything

Located near facility where we attended an event.

Outdated rooms, frequent issues with key cards not working, AC was not very cool.

Close to Dow

Rooms were outdated, temp control was a problem when using the wall thermostat as directed to by front desk staff, key cards were not reliable.

I had two air conditioners both set for 60 and it couldn't keep the room cool enough for me.

Manager Came to my room at 9 30 at night and said He gave me the wrong room Period I just looked at him And he said okay sir And left

Staff were pleasant and happy like they enjoyed their work Which is good

Location was good

Outdated, some guests appeared to be doing drugs, carpets in hallways were unsafe for people with mobility issues, found blood in elevator

Beds where comfortable, hotel was super clean, front desk was friendly and easy check in and out precess. Got an excellent rate for the night!!

The breakfast was ok

It was cheaper than staying in the next town. They staff were super friendly and the rooms were clean. The included hot breakfast was good as well. The rooms were clean.

The carpet in the hallways is very stretched out and loose, the pop in the vending machine was out dated since January, the pool was absolutely FREEZING and I could not get the heat to go lower, so the room was fairly warm all night.

Love the jacuzzi and the spacious room.

The king suite with jacuzzi tub was awesome! Tons of room, clean. Will definitely visit again.

Room listed having a bidet, but it did not have one. Didn’t make it or break it for me but others might want/need it for medical reasons.

Nice and clean hotel. Well located, close to gas stations, restaurants and grocery stores. Pet friendly

Grass was a little long to bring the pups outside for potty break but they dud get a lot of rain.

Everything

Location

I was double charged. Payed in full through bookings site, and then was charged even more from the hotel themselves.

The staff were excellent

The staff were really good, but it smelled of chemicals like they fumigated. I am allergic to chemicals and get really stuffed up. Breakfast was all cold.i thought i may get food poisoning.

Everything

Very friendly helpful staff

Location was not great

Good location

A staff member had dogs and allowed them to freely run about the hotel yapping and shit outside our door. The incident was reported and was met with a nonchalant "thanks for letting us know". (I should have taken pictures) I was abhorrent over the incident and when asked if the carpet had been sanitized the response was "yes" from the room service. This should be professionally cleaned and the whole incident left me disgusted. Allowing dogs to run free is entirely unacceptable and the staff member should be dismissed. As the pool is accessible along the same corridor, cleanliness should be paramount! The pool had empty honey packets littering the deck area. this was reported as it was enticing ants. This would indicate that the pool was not checked even though it was open for use. For an unknown reason, the bathroom floor flooded when the bath water is released. This can only mean a plumbing blockage. The water temperature was tepid at best. The AC/Heating was too noisy to have on at night. It is a real shame as this hotel has a lot going for it!

Great place warm atmosphere

There not being towels at the pool area. Asking twice to change over our room and it not being done. Having to ask for clean towels to shower. This was the second room that we had also booked, after being told they were full, this one was booked on line.

The staff we encountered were amazing ! Was clean and very accommodating.

Pool and hot tub could have used some chemicals. Room itself was clean just after a bunch of kids there was a lot of foam. Needed a refresh.

Restaurant attached was a bonus

It was clean and fresh smells and everything is in top notch condition

Everything is excellent nothing bad to say

The lady at the front dest was wonderful.

It looked like the carpet wasn't vacuumed very good .I even picked up what looked like rice.

The staff was extremely accommodating to my handicapped mother and my young children. They went above and beyond with the pool being under maintenance and the elevator ended up needing repair. Everything was repaired faster than we were told to prepare for and the staff had offered to help us with going up and down the one flight of stairs if needed. They included my toddler in doing some art on the greeting whiteboard in the lobby they were very awesome towards all of us!

Nothing it was great!

Breakfast was okay. Staff were exceptional.

Elevator had some issues. Having non dairy milk at breakfast would be great. Also gluten free bread would be great.

Super friendly staff and our beds were super comfy too!

Pool was a little small but my grand daughter still had fun while I relaxed in the hot tub

Not much

Needs renovations done our room was a dump

The location was great and the kids loved the pool but the water was little chilly for adults

Nothing worked properly in the fitness room besides the free weights. One tv didn’t work in our room

Most staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was excellent

Convenient location, Room that had enough space for our whole family!

Location

Awesome, has swim pool and jacuzzi. Kids love it.

Broken coffee maker

Staff and owner super friendly

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Great value for a getaway for a couple of days. Down to earth hospitality for families.

The staff was always super friendly and acknowledged us every time we walked in.

Breakfast was limited. Tv channel selection in the room was very disappointing. Limited local channels and only offered about 10-12 channels total. Tv remote had external watching devices (Netflix) but those would not do anything when pushed. The main hotel tv had local stations but could not access them in the room… not sure why.

Comfortable beds

Pool was not working :(

The location was great. It was nice to see the property again. I had a previous excellent stay at this hotel before, and I am happy it still meets the great standards. The front desk are very welcoming. They help with the checking-in process and are very patient. Well trained and courteous, and were able to answer all my questions in a timely manner. The main ambience of the hotel is very good. The room was very clean. The room I had was to very good taste. Everything worked. The bathroom made me want to take a bath every time. It was a working vacation, so I had to use a table and chair. The ones provided in the room were very ergonomic. I couldn't have asked for more. The hotel in general, was close to the Dow Centennial Centre, which was an added bonus. I had made a mistake of booking a room in another hotel nearby (a horrible mistake, as it turned out, but cheap me...), and it was so bad I had to cancel my stay after just a day, and it was a very different experience than I had at the Super 8. I will not stay anywhere else in Fort Saskatchewan except at the Super 8, I think I learned my lesson...:)

Everything was stellar. For my working vacation, it went very well. Maybe can be a little cheaper? But the prices were quite competitive, so I don't think...

The staff are amazing. Breakfast was decent.

No. Notice hot tub is not in working order. And swimming pool is freezing cold.(to cold to swim) Also room 109 had a water leak when showering. So room floor ended up soaked. If these things are fixed the place would be 4 or 5 stars. Windows in both room 109 and 204 have broken windows on outside doesn't affect inside room but further shows the need of repairs.

I liked how deep the tub was, needed to destress.

I forgot my sandwich in the mini fridge when I left, 😔
