Wingate by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan

I was charge on my debit card after the charge of the room for a deposit with out my knowledge or giving permission to charge my card. It could have been brought up to my attention when I was charge for the room and id gone ahead with it but to do a seperate charge and without my consent is not a way to keep me wanting to come back. The beds need to be changed as they seem worn out my back was sore for 2 days after.

It was fine. Could have had more gluten-free items.

Breakfast was good. Nice area to eat in.

Parking lot security inadequate. Had 500 dollars of stuff stolen from my truck, parked in a location not covered by security camera. Not impressed.

The initial smell of the room, I don't know if It had just been cleaned or if a strong chemical smell was present from outdoors. It dissipated eventually.

It's the little things, when we checked in around 16:15, the floor in the checkin area was freshly mopped....... then returing from supper around 20:30, again the floor was freshly mopped. On top of a refreshingly clean room, this was the cherry on top. This place is taken care of, and cared for as if it is their own, and it shows. Will return when back in town.

Good morning Mr. Montoya, I hope all is well with you and your family. My name is Sheldon Gonzales, Room 319, from the 9th September to the 14th of September 2025. Firstly, I must say, the chef/s was/were wonderful, the facilities was nice, the staff that we interacted with, were pleasant and professional. The issues I had/having are as follows : 1/  I am seeing three charges on my credit card for the same reservation. I paid online through Booking.Com but yet I see a charge from the hotel and also a pending charge on my credit card. (Please have that resolved immediately.) An email will be appreciated from you for me to send to my bank to have the charges reversed is an option before close of business today. I appreciate your prompt response to this matter. 2/ The room service first day experience (was as expected), wonderful. The second day we realized that the beds were not made up and room was not vacuumed properly as we found a red pill on the floor, items behind the television stand and bits and pieces of "stuff", behind the curtains on the floor. We also had to go down to the front desk and ask for additional towels as the quota for three persons were scaled down to facilitate two persons. 3/ We were given the assurance that the room would have been thoroughly cleaned and the right quota of linens provided. Unfortunately that assurance was not fulfilled. The room was not throughly cleaned and the condition of the towels leaves a lot to be desired. 4/ The absolute worst was the last night, Saturday 13th. When we returned that evening, we were appalled to find the room in the state it was in. No one cleaned the room. There were no clean anything in the room.  We had to come down to the desk to get the quota of clean towels for the room. That experience was totally not acceptable.

Great king bed with four long good pillows, fluffy bath towels, nice shower, good climate control in room. Very good selection for breakfast. TV's are pretty tiny though. Could bump them up a size or two. Overall stay very good. And good price. I will definitely stay again.

Not a bad place, close to stores and res

Previously I loved this hotel but my stay this time was extremely disappointing therefore I cannot think of anything I liked.

I got no sleep. I was in a ground floor room and throughout the night until about 3:00 am there were slamming doors which would wake me up just as I was falling asleep. It was an awful night!

TV in main room didnt work. Lettering on Body wash, Shampoo and Condotioner in shower was very difficult to read unless yiu have oerfect vision.

OMG!! The bed was super comfy. I actually slept in!! The shower was heaven! I had a perfect night in a hotel!

We were done a job early and went to check in around noon. The clerk apologized and said we had to wait until 3pm to check in. I was upset, (not with them, but myself) then proceeded to wait in the lobby. Within half an hour she told us our rooms were ready early and that we could go to our rooms. She didn’t have to do that, but the fact that she did shows that she cared and it made me incredibly happy.

Did not have recycle bucket in room. Very torn bathmat. Moved ottaman and lots of crackers. Ice machine only works on main floor floor only. No creamers for coffee in room. Why have sugar but no no coffee creamers. We were told its not supplied. We have stayed there 3 years in a row when it was Holiday Inn was much better. Will now stay elsewhere next year

We booked the hotel because they had a pool. I checked before I booked a couple days before and the pool was functional. When we checked in, the pool was closed for maintenance. I only booked this hotel and paid more for the pool. My grandson was not happy and neither were we.

Property was a bit hard to find as their sign on the building is not there, they only have a banner with the name once you’re in the parking lot. When we first checked in we were excited to see they have great quality shampoo, lotion, body wash etc which is nice as most hotels have low quality stuff that dries out your hair. Our biggest issue with this property is that the owners seem to cheap out on everything else. The breakfast was almost completely empty by the time we got there (7:45am) even though there was an employee working in there. Cinnamon buns, eggs and hash browns were empty and the pancake machine wasn’t working. The employee just walked around sweeping up nothing (wasn’t dirty) while the garbages were overflowing so badly that you couldn’t put anything else in and the front desk agent came to speak to the employee, they came out with a full box of cinnamon buns to finally replenish but only put out 2…. The staff member was asked to only put a few out at a time. Very bad service! After this we went out for the day, on our way out we asked the front desk to have the housekeepers change garbage and give us more towels as we only had 2 with 4 of us staying in the room. We also had a spill which we asked them to clean up. After being out for 8 hours, we returned to the room and it hadn’t been serviced at all. After calling the front desk, they said housekeeping was gone for the day. We ran out of hand soap that night as well. Terrible

I booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool and I was there for an extended stay with children. The pool was out of order for the majority of our stay and when it was available it was ice cold. The breakfast is great but everything else needs some work.

Bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. We stayed for two nights and, after the first night, the bed was made up in a haphazard fashion, the used towel was taken away but not replaced and used wet wash cloth was not replaced, the paper coffee cups were not replenished. The chamber maid did not seem to care....

Stayed two nights for a course ai was taking. Came to a quiet room. Bed was very comfortable. The shower has so amazing. So much pressure !!! Not a kid screamed or drunk person yelling in the hallway at night like my previous experience when staying in Edmonton. Staff was so nice and breakfast was good with good choices. Would drive 20 minutes again to pay less, have amazing service and sleep well !

We were given an uncleaned room with dirty towels and garbage undisposed. No toiletry even.

I booked a room for 2 days at this hotel because it was close to family I was on a business trip but lucked out to be able to see my granddaughter at the same time I booked this hotel because it had a pool which I thought would be great for my granddaughter and I booked the king room as it looked like it had more space for her and some play time. I got to the room the king rooms are spacious looked clean but the TV was about the size of a laptop, you literally had to pull the TV to the edge of the dresser and sit at the end of the bed just to watch anything reasonably. and the coffee maker did not work I went downstairs to check out the gym and pool area and the pool was completely shut down which they did not advertise online, I was told that the hotel across the road had a pool that we could go over there to use it but who wants to load up the car drive across the street just for an hour of pool time in the dead of winter. I would have booked a different Hotel the gym was dark and dingy and smelt funny and I wouldn't really even call it a gym. There was a free breakfast buffet but the coffee was watered down the food was cold and the hash browns were undercooked I brought this up to the front desk they told me I could not get a refund because I booked through a third party hotel and I would have to contact the third party that I booked. The hotel is okay for people that are just passing through that need a bed to sleep in and don't care about all the other amenities.

The hotel was great. The staff were very kind. I gave it a 4 for cleanliness, only because there was a stain on our duvet. Everything else was clean. The pool was closed when we stayed.

Convient location to the hospital

Clean, nice warm hallways...good temperature control in room. Good coffee and breakfast food offerings, and friendly staff. Parking lot was quite icy and tough to negotiate. But it is January.

Stayed multiple times, was good with every thing but cook was never friendly, was friendly towards other families but never mine. Gave rude comments under her breath. Complain about how many people were in my room when we had a room big enough for our family size. Seemed racist because the other families were a different ethnicity

Staff are friendly and very helpful. Lots of breakfast options and our room is immaculate; even gave us an hour of late checkout free of charge. The breakfast lady is very friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in process and Annabelle at the front desk is amazing!

Fantastic full breakfast every morning. Staff were friendly and you could have great conversations with them. Pool was great. Rooms were well taken care of. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Our room was filthy. I don’t think it been vacuumed in a while. The entertainment shelf had stains or pop spill on the side. One the bed creaks bad every time you move it it keep waking us up. I don’t think the sheets had been changed as there were hairs and lint in the beds. The baseboards in the room haven’t been dusted in a while. The complementary breakfast was not stocked and the staff member kept complaining that the equipment wasn’t working properly. I had called down to the front desk to request towels and she stated she was the only one working as asked for me to come to the front desk to retrieve items. We paid $134 for the first night and $174 the second night which is outrageous based on the amenities or lack there of and cleanliness of the room and hallways if I could I would request a refund. This was definitely not a good experience for being in this hotel and Fort Saskatchewan for the first time. First impressions are crucial.

Over all is awesome

Rooms were clean, front desk staff were wonderful, and breakfast was excellent. We were slightly disappointed by how small/shallow the pool was as our kids love to spend time in the pool, but that wouldn't deter us from staying here again.

It was pretty good I wish it had a hot tub tho and a bigger TV it was kinda small but other than that it was pretty good.

Almost every time I check in to this hotel, I have to wait at the front desk 10 minutes before anyone comes out. Last time I stayed there, a large amount of water leaked into my bathroom from the ceiling. I notified staff, they asked that I let them know if it happens again. Two days later the ceiling above my bed cracked open and water poured all over my bed.

This hotel is located at a few minutes away from Edmonton but convenient and easily accessible.

Overall the hotel was okay. I was disappointed in the condition of the hideabed,etc. poor quality . Booked a family room for a specified number of guests but the room was not set up to accommodate.

Its was very convenient for me, as close to highway, storage and Uhaul.
