The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful nothing was ever too much trouble. A lovely gentleman checked us in and arranged a taxi for us for the next day so we could get to a wedding. Also a massive thank you to Jake who lent his belt to my husband for the wedding cause my husband had accidentally left his at home. Lovely place to stay.

The staff, and the cleanliness where superb. The bed was lovely and comfy and the breakfast was delicious. The area is also wonderful and peaceful.

The room, I was put in, had no window that I could look out of, there seemed to be an AC unit or something on all night, outside it, and the light in bathroom around the mirror, did not work. Despite asking for it to be looked at. The breakfast was delicious, as I mentioned above, but it's very expensive for what you could choose. While there are lots of options to choose from, the kippers were divine! if you just want porridge or toast, then the £19 per day price tag is extortionate.

The room was spotless . Tea and coffee making supplies were a good bonus and iron and ironing board available and even a hair dryer.

The shower was lovely apart from the fact as soon as you had soap on the bottom of the shower it became very slippy so could have done with a shower mat. There were about 10 spiders in the bathroom a couple came into the shower which I washed away. The spiders didn't really bother me it was more about feeling unstable in the shower.

Staff were pleasant. The hotel was lovely. Food was a tad expensive as was the beer and wine, but it was to be expected in a hotel. Hubby used the onsite fitness centre, said it was very good, and had plenty of weights to choose from All in all, it was a very lovely stay.

There wasn't any mirror on the dresser for styling hair, so needed to lay hot mat on chair and then stand and pull around to use wardrobe mirror - not easy - or safe outside of this room was lovely, clean and spacious really slept well😊

Huge, rather bland room with no chairs to relax in, no carpet on floor, no welcoming details about the hotel or area and no fire escape details. These were available using a QR (?) Code but the writing was so small I couldn't read it. Lack of fire escape in Beaupre room 32 unless prepared to climb out of window is a concern. No telephone in room. Only three coathangers in wardrobe. Rainfall shower had about half the jets blocked with limescale. I had to remove this before showering. Disappointing view from the room. Desk, bedside and bathroom lamps are very modern with no obvious way if switching them on and no instructions. No air conditioning. No obvious onsite staff during the night Was advised by barman that the bar would close early so unable to get any refreshments post 10.00 pm. At £130.00 room only I do not believe this to be good value.

The room was clean, plenty of teas/coffees available, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There was no view from the room, which was also a bit small and the corridors and communal areas were a bit characterless.

Some items were missing from our room, but a quick word with reception and it was all sorted. The bed was a bit lumpy and could do with a new mattress.

We stayed in the Studio and it was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The Moorings restaurant was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Travelling to Norfolk with our dog, we needed a dog-friendly place to stay for a night only. There is an additional £25.00 for the dog and they are not allowed on bed/ furniture but overall The Crown Lodge hotel was great. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. Room was a good size, comfortable king size bed and they gave us a dog bowl and a little treat. Dinner was delicious and they seated us in the bar zone so the dog could stay with us. Menu is the same as the restaurant, not just few nibbles like many other hotels. We didn’t had breakfast cause we had a very early check out, but I would book again.

No A/C in the room and the radiator in the toilet was fully on. We couldn’t switch it off, had to sleep with windows open and we could hear the traffic from the main road (luckily no too much trafficked in the night).

The staff were extremely professional and accommodating. We were arriving later than the normal check in time and they explained everything thoroughly so the check in process was smooth especially late at night. We were upgraded to an executive room which was lovely. The room was clean and beds were comfy. The car park was big and the location was quiet.

Hotel was good,clean and everything you'd need.

The night we stayed was disturbed by people banging doors most of the night. One couple opposite our room had a dog and where up and down taking the dog out mist of the night. I don't have an issue with people bringing pets but it might be a good idea to put them in rooms nearer the exit doors so they don't disturb other guests when they need to take the dog out in the night and also when it barks at people outside the door. The hotel itself is fine but I have to give it a low rating because we had very little sleep.

Easy parking right outside the door of our room. Food was nice although last time we stayed the breakfast was included in the price. Nice cool bar area in the hot weather. Evening meal was very good and the waiters very attentive.

The room was dirty. The floors had not been washed for a long time. My husbands white socks and my clean slippers socks were black after walking around for a very short time. The shower floor didn’t look that clean either. We spread towels on the floor to walk on after our showers. No where to plug hairdryer in that is near a mirror. If the chest of drawers under the dressing table were moved to the right there would be a space on the left for the chair and a mirror could be affixed to the wall next to the TV. No air con. They did provide a large fan that helped. We were supposed to stay a second night but we decided to go home. I spoke to the receptionist about talking to housekeeping to clean the floors more often. She was adamant they were washed every day…….IF that is the case which I doubt, the housekeeper needs a new mop!!

Breakfast was priced by the item, so a modest continental breakfast could easily reach £17 to 20. Full breakfast was £15, but add 2 coffees and it's over £20.

Lovely big rooms, very comfortable and had everything you would need.

Was conveniently placed to Wisbech. Staff were lovely, they let our dogs stay, catered for my wife who has coeliac disease with no side effects from dinner or breakfast, gluten free options were huge on menu, food was great overall. Nothing negative to say.

Only a small double bed but huge room so could make all beds king size.

We couldn’t fault it. From our arrival to our departure we were treated so well. Staff are helpful, considerate and polite.

Very good atmosphere, fully refurbished hotel with super clean rooms. The staff was kind and polite, they were flexible with late check-in on Saturday.

Considering that this is a 4 star hotel, it is surprising that they only serve breakfast for 2 hours (between 8 and 10) and that both the restaurant and the bar were completely closed after 6pm on Sunday. If there is no demand, then fine, but in this case I think a mini fridge in the room would be very useful. This is just a kind suggestion.

The Location was great for my visit and central to everywhere I needed to go.

Excellent friendly staff who were always happy to help. Excellent breakfast choices available. The fact that the hotel had a good connected restaurant was a bonus as we had birthday celebrations during our trip.

The location is ideal for a work base that I use from time to time. The Lodge itself is a haven of excellence, with food second to none in the area. The rooms are spacious and classy, with really well thought through little extras - such as the improved coffee and tea options, really good quality bathroom niceties, and a really spacious shower. The restaurant is superb! Service is quick and easy, staff are very friendly and the food is to die for - if you come you have to have the ribs...

There is nothing not to like about this place - it's excellent! If the location was more central or on a major route, it would be booked out all year. Having said that, I got the last available room on a mid-week [Wednesday] night, which goes to show how good it is!

Being a solo traveller there is always the worry about parking close to where I'm staying and i literally parked under my room window. I opted to have breakfast, which was divine and cooked fresh everyday and arrived pipping hot to the table, all the staff were friendly and welcoming during my visit. Its a hidden gem that I will not hesitate to stay at again.

We like the location, the cleanliness of the site and friendly staff.

Aside from the fact that the room faced a busy main road with heavy traffic and a lot of noise, especially when heavy farm vehicles passed by, causing the room to vibrate, everything else was fine. We barely slept.

Looks beautiful outside,receptionist was lovely,took us to our room, bathroom was big with a big shower,the bed was unfortunately to small but very comfy

Had a meal booked for 7pm for 6 people,arrived at 6.45pm was took to our table,gave our order in at around 7pm, starter came out at 8.05pm,I had the scallops at £14.50 i got 3 tiny scallops, we then waited till 9.15pm for our mains i ordered fillet steak, at £43.00 it was cooked to perfection, the chips where anemic and peppercorn was watery, now we went for breakfast as that was included,what a shock your allowed £23 to spend and then you pay extra, fresh orange juice £3.00,cappuccino £3.80, don't like sausage or hash browns so got a full breakfast without them breakfast £15.00, my cappuccino came out within 10 mins my breakfast arrived 45mins later ,i asked for another cappuccino and got charged for going over £23.00, absolutely joke won't go back

When the heating came on in made a Loud clicking noise, that did wake us up at 5am

Everything. The location was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and efficient and the bed was really really comfortable. We also ate in the restaurant and can highly recommend it. The scallops were cooked just right so they melted in the mouth. The lamb was so tender and the fish and chips were fresh , not dripping in fat , very light and fluffy and plentiful. Overall a 10/10. We will definitely be returning.

Great Hotel, very helpful staff

Outwell is a small town in the Fens. We visited family and this was ideal. The location is OK if your touring and would recommend a stop over here. Good beer and breakfast is served fresh not from a buffet which we really liked.

We prefer a wider bed although the double was comfortable enough.

Service - was absolutely exceptional. Offer and choice was really good

Loved how staff were so attentive n helpful, they had been busy but didn't show fatigue front of house ( very professional).. Food was exceptional n room was spotless clean , well decorated, warm n very comfortable.. ( more tea n milk would be perfect, though when asked for provided immediately.. Slept well as very peaceful n quiet.. Ample parking, immaculate bar/ restaurant.. Really Looking forward to staying again soon

Very high standards through out,room was emaculate.

The room was of a high standard,however we are quite elderly and not so sure footed and confident as we used to be,therefore we would have liked there to have been a grab rail adjacent to the shower.Stepping into a bath for the shower is a bit daunting for us now.That is our only gripe.

Had a ‘Motel’ feel about the place. The room was super modern and spotless.

Double bed was small after being used to a Super King at home. But still comfortable.

The staff were super helpful! They called me a few days before to share info about the venue and even gave me a heads-up about traffic. They also provided a map with an alternative route to avoid the queues. The room exceeded our expectations too. Very clean and comfy.
