The rooms had a strong musty, mold-like smell, the shower pressure was very weak, and the cleanliness was poor, I even found hair from previous guests in the sink and toilet. The way I was treated at reception was extremely disrespectful and upsetting. Based on my experience, I felt that the hotel prioritized making money over the comfort and satisfaction of its guests. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

The carpets on each floor were dirty and well past their sell by date - they badly need replacing - I was quite shocked as the rest of the hotel is pristine Towels were far from 5* - they feel 3* at best The ac/ heating didn’t work very well - I had a couple of staff members visit to see if they could improve it but no joy At 450 usd a night the rooms are adequate but not luxe - it didn’t feel like good value for money

Wat een fantastisch hotel. Ik verbleef hier 4 nachten in een DeLuxe kamer. Het hotel is zeer schoon, het bed was enorm groot en comfortabel en de badkamer was netjes, groot, schoon en met stortdouche. Geluiddicht, heb echt niemand gehoord en super goed geslapen. Nespresso op de kamer en 2 flessen water die dagelijks bijgevuld werden. Ontbijt mega goed en uitgebreid en in de ontbijtruimte veel plaats en tafels niet al te dicht op elkaar. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Echt 1 van de beste hotels. Het eten in restaurants Puro is ook een aanrader. Overal zou ik niet twijfelen om hier te boeken. Locatie top ook, op loopafstand van oude centrum.

Great location. Close to tram stops. Near the train station where you can easily catch a bus to and from the airport. TV had English speaking channels. There is a kettle in the room and a decent size fridge. Beds were comfortable. Location was quiet and felt safe. The movenpick vanilla and chocolate ice cream is an absolute must!!!!

Bath towels were small. Strange design feature with bath tap in shower sticking out making it awkward to move in the shower. No drawers in the room but plenty of hanging space. As a consequence more hangers needed.

Nous n'avions pas d'eau dans le chambre le matin, l'avons mentionné à la réception qui nous a assurés que cela fonctionnerait à notre retour, ce qui n'était toujours pas le cas. J'ai insisté pour changer de chambre à 22h, ce qui nous a été accordé, sans pour autant que la direction ne fasse le moindre geste pour les inconvénients subis.

The meal I had in the bistro was excellent, the breakfast also. The waiting staff were lovely. I had a large room with a view of the railway station.

The hotel is stingy with tea bags in the room, 1 each for 24 hours. I asked for a small jug of fresh milk for my room to have with the tea and I was told it would cost 7 Swiss francs! I have never encountered a charge for fresh milk before.

The location is perfect close to all, what one might need in Basel; staff very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast exceptional.

Out of three days when I was staying in the hotel, one day drinking water and cofee creamer were not refilled.

The room, the bed, the pillows

The service at breakfast, the service in the room. I ordered an omelet, and the waitress didn't order it at the kitchen. No one came to me to ask for a coffee, and it was difficult to find stuff to order a coffee with oat milk. The room service took away my bottle of water, which I left outside the fridge intentionally.

Everything. Location, views, service, restaurants, facilities, room and quality of everything. Breakfast is amazing too. Efficient lifts.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und komfortabel. Nachts knackte immer etwas im Badezimmer, das ist ein Geräusch, dass man davon aufwacht. Wir konnten nicht zuordnen woher es kam. Vielleicht kann man es ja beheben. Trotzdem war es ein sehr schönes, modernes Zimmer und man fühlte sich wohl.

Das Frühstück, das wir dann nicht genossen haben, ist sehr teuer. Ich habe noch nirgends auf der Welt 37Fr. für ein Frühstück bezahlt. An anderen Orten ist es auch immer reichhaltig und man bezahlt zwischen 15 und 20 Fr.

The bathroom towels looked worn out (off-white instead of white), should be renewed. No shower-cap, I love rainshowers but do not want my hair to get wet.

Ganz besonders freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, in allen Bereichen. Die Begrüßung war angenehm, und ich habe, zu meiner großen Überraschung bekam ich ein Zimmer in der 9. Etage. Grandios! Das Frühstücksbuffet, und die Betreuung durch das Team (Küche, sowie Service) war tadellos. Zimmerpflege und Fahrstuhlkomfort super. Rundum: Team, kulinarisches Angebot, Zimner/Ausblick und Lage TOP!

Keine wirkliche Kritik, weil persönliches Empfinden: Der tägliche Kampf mit der Klimaanlage ... ;)

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in recent years. I was very impressed with the overall experience and would definitely stay here again.

Хотелът се намира близо до гарата, на много удобно място. До стария град и забележителностите може да се отиде както пеша, така и с трамвай за 2 или 3 спирки. Надмина очакванията ни за цената, която платихме. Стаите бяха чисти и достатъчно просторни.

Lovely hotel in a great location- close to the station, trams and an easy walk to the old town , river and shopping precinct.

Het ontbijtbuffet was voortreffelijk met ruime keuze. Het personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De sfeer in het restaurant was aangenaam en rustig. Omdat het zo vreselijk warm was, was de airconditioning op mijn kamer al voor mijn aankomst ingeschakeld! Heel attent. Het hotel is op loopafstand van station SBB en ook de tramhaltes zijn dichtbij.

Grossartiges Frühstücksbuffet, saubere und schöne Zimmer, sehr schöne Hotelanlage in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Spabereich sehr schön.

Ich finde es schade, dass die Flure auf den Stockwerken überhaupt nicht die Qualität des Hotels Wiederspiegeln. Diese roten, eher schmuddeligen Teppiche passen überhaupt nicht ins Gesamtbild. Spa war beim ersten Besuch sehr sauber und einladend, beim zweiten eher dreckig (hatte vielleicht mit der grossen Anzahl Gäste zu tun, die in Basel gestrandet waren wegen dem Ausfall einer Kreuzfahrt).

Vom Hotel aus ist das Stadt Zentrum von Basel sehr leicht mit der Straßenbahn Nr. 11 erreichbar, die alle 8 Minuten fährt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer- über Eck- war toll ! Die Aussicht genial. Bequeme Betten, grosser Fernseher, sehr großes Badezimmer mit frei stehender Badewanne und einer extra Dusche ! zwei getrennte Waschtische - für jeden ein eigener- mit viel Platz für die Ablage aller kosmetischen Utensilien. Das Frühstücks Buffet ist sehr vielfältig. Wurst, Schinken, Käse, Dips, Oliven, Räucherlachs, frische Obst Auswahl- alles da! Warme Gerichte - Eier, Speck, Pfannkuchen, etc.- kann man bestellen und werden frisch zubereitet. Die Garage ist sehr hell - und hatte sehr große Stellplätze! Insgesamt ein perfektes Hotel für einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in Basel!

Location was perfect- close to railway station and tram stops. Breakfast was delicious and had many options. My room was much larger than I expected and the bed was extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby :)

Gute Lage in Nähe Bahnhof. Moderne, sinnvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht und ausreichend Platz. Sehr freundliches Personal an Reception.

Handtücher waren nicht 4-Sterne-Level. Personal Bistro/Bar z.T. sehr unfreundlich (Ausnahme die weibliche Bedienung; männliche Bedienung fragte beim Abräumen nicht mal, ob es geschmeckt hat; Bistro-Chef sagt nicht Auf Wiedersehen, wenn man einen halben Meter an ihm vorbeigeht...) Roomservice extrem schlecht (hat ca. 80 MInuten gedauert!)

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very clean and nice, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, and welcoming, which made our stay even better. And the ice cream is absolutely delicious! Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich gut. Das Zimmer mit dem Blick über Basel war sensationell. Die Lage war perfekt. Mit der Tram und zu Fuß war alles entspannt zu erreichen. Das Auto stand sehr gut im Parkhaus. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Jederzeit gerne wieder, sehr zu empfehlen.

Mir fällt da nichts ein, außer vielleicht bei den glutenfreien Brötchen müsste man einen extra Toaster zur Verfügung stellen…um aufbacken zu können…

Sehr ansprechende Zimmer, gutes Frühstück

Es wurde eine Zimmer drei Etagen über einer Afterwork-Party Location mit entsprechend lauter Musik zugewiesen, obwohl wir einen 4-jährigen dabei hatten, der entsprechend erst gegen 22:00 Uhr eingeschlafen ist.

Great hotel if you travel with your dog. The staff is friendly and they put a dog pad and food bowls in the room. There's a park right in front of the hotel, where dogs are allowed (on leash). The park has lots of trees, so in summer there's shade. In the room it was nice chill since there's well working air conditioning. The view was amazing and the train station is in a two minutes walking distance. I can't say anything about food or wellness since I didn’t use any of that. Would definitely book there again.

Die Lage ist top!

Wenn das Schild „nicht stören“ draußen an der Türe ist, erwarte ich dass ich nicht gestört werde. Zudem finde ich es respektlos, wenn geklopft wird und das Zimmer einfach betreten wird. Privatsphäre missachtet und als Frau fühle ich mich da nicht wohl/sicher.
