Heel vriendelijk personeel!!!gezellig hotel, mooie kamer en geweldig bed...zo jammer dat we heel vroeg weg moesten ..maar het lekkere ontbijt maakte dat weer goed!!

Das Nomad ist außergewöhnlich liebevoll gestaltet. Viele Details zeigen das. Die Zimmer sind freundlich, groß, hell und einladend. Es gibt Pflanzen, eine liebevolle Bücherauswahl, genügend Steckdosen und Haken, wo man sie braucht. Ein Balkon, freundliches Personal, alles wunderbar :)

Wonderful stay at the Nomad Design & Lifestyle Hotel I stayed at the Nomad Design & Lifestyle Hotel from September 14–16, 2026, and had a wonderful experience. I had requested a quiet room and was given a room facing the courtyard, which was perfect. I slept extremely well – the mattress and linen bedding were wonderful. The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and the Dyson fan was a great extra. I also really appreciated the small coffee station on my floor, with Nespresso coffee, a selection of teas, and bottles that could be refilled with still or sparkling water. A very thoughtful and practical touch. The bathroom was beautifully designed with a lovely oriental touch. The shower was excellent, and the large, soft towels, slippers and comfortable bathrobe were perfect after a long day or a visit to the sauna. The L’Occitane toiletries were another lovely detail. The reception team was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was also able to leave my luggage at the hotel until the evening and collect it after my event before leaving Basel, which was very convenient. The location is excellent, with tram and bus stops just around the corner. I also really appreciated receiving the BaselCard, which included public transport and various discounts for museums, the zoo, theatre and sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent – fresh, varied and beautifully presented. The coffee was great, and the bar and restaurant areas are very stylish. The restaurant team was also very friendly and attentive. All in all, I had a wonderful stay and have already recommended the hotel to several people I met at my event. I would be happy to stay at the Nomad again!

Excellent location, close to the city centre and the tram. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a kind of small but very clean. The breakfast buffet was exceptional for such a small hotel. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The room is not air conditioned and we were there during an extremely hot summer. The fan helped at night.

Beautiful room and bathroom, very clean and convenient. Hotel has a nice design. Burger at the restaurant was delicious. There was a free to use water fountain and coffee machine. Very good gym and sauna.

No AC and it felt very hot these days. Room was however positioned on the backside without much sunlight and was cooler than expected. Breakfast was not value for money but it had healthy choices. Some minor issues with the bathroom door.

Stanza bellissima e curata in ogni dettaglio, così come tutte le parti comuni. Posizione ottima per visitar la città a piedi, in bici e coi mezzi, parcheggio a pagamento proprio accanto all' hotel, comodo da raggiungere dall' autostrada

Wir lieben das Nomad, es liegt super zentral und nahe am Bahnhof, es ist genial eingerichtet, das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist super lecker, man kann draussen sitzen abends oder auch zum Frühstück. wir sind einfach immer gerne hier! auch dass man die kleinen velos benutzen darf ist ein totaler aufsteller!!!

Im Zimmer wurde eine Wickelfisch-Tasche bereitgestellt. Erforderlich für das Schwimmen im Rhein. Eine sehr populäre Sache im Basel Es gab Obst, Wasser und Kaffee in der Etagenküche.

Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Das Dyson- Gebläse war nur ein schlechter Ersatz aber besser als nichts.

Everything was perfect. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved the comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel smelled lovely and fresh throughout, and the room was clean and quiet (our room did not face the main road). Although the room is small, it is very well laid out and practical, with enough space for luggage. The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk from the Kunstmuseum and very central for everything else. There’s also a supermarket Migros only five minutes away. We were able to borrow bags for the Rhine swim/float, which was a thoughtful touch, and the bathroom products from L’Occitane are excellent. There is a small gym. And a sauna which needs to be booked ahead.

Good to know: We stayed during a heat wave and the air conditioning struggled to keep up, but the fan in the room was very helpful. There is no fridge, coffee, or tea facilities in the individual rooms. However, there is a communal area on the floor that provides coffee, tea, and water.

立地が最高なのと、部屋が清潔なのはもちろんですが、今回は夏の滞在でしたのでライン川を泳ぐための防水バッグが部屋に常備されていたのがよかったです。3泊4日滞在して毎日泳ぎに行きました。

Nomad is a beautiful, cosy, high-end hotel, perfectly located for endeavors all over town. The rooms are spacious and feel like a cocoon at the same time :-). We especially appreciated the friendliness of hotel staff and the flexibility with check-in and check-out as well as the parking space. There is also a coffee and tea station on every floor, so that you can stay energised whenever you want :-).

The location was very good. Close to the Old Town, Museums and train station. The staff were very friendly. We loved the Library Club. The shower was very nice.

It was very expensive for what you get. I paid for the Design Premium Room but the next morning we had a leaky sink in the bathroom that poured onto the floor. They moved us to another room which was much smaller and said they had no other rooms left. They did give us vouchers for 4 appetizers and 2 free breakfasts in their restaurant to compensate-which was nice. The room was very hot and they only had a portable fan to cool it down and you could hear the noise from the restaurant until late. It was definitely not worth the $300/night price though.

I generally liked the design of the hotel, the gym, the restaurant and the room. The mattress and the pillows were good as well. Some amenities, like a cold water fountain and a coffee machine were appreciated.

Ultimately the lack of AC and any kind of ventilation during this heat wave in Basel. The fact that the window cannot even properly opened means it's practically impossible to refresh the air in the room. This is very unhygienic. The room was surprised cooler than you would expect during these days, maybe because it was not directly hit by sunlight. However the temperature was still higher than my liking. This was not a value for money experience for sure.

Er was een gebruikte scheermes in badkamer, drie persoon kamer was met een klap bed wat ik minder profesioneler.

Muito boa localização, a 50 metros dos transportes públicos e perto de todos os principais pontos de interesse. Bem decorado, cama confortável, e bem higienizado. Excelente o nível de serviço prestado por todos os funcionários, de uma simpatia e gentileza invulgares. Muito convenientes as bebidas frescas sempre disponíveis na recepção. Muito úteis os produtos de higiene repostos todos os dias nos quartos, a água fresca lisa e com gás, café e chá, e fruta fresca, disponíveis em todos os patamares de piso. O bar com esplanada no piso térreo é uma mais valia.

A estadia correspondeu ao periodo de 23 a 26 de Junho de 2026, com temperaturas máximas record entre os 36 e os 39ºC. Fez muita falta o ar condicionado nos quartos. Mas reconheça-se, em condições normais, o ar condicionado não seria necessário.

Location, staff and rooms were great

The bed sheets felt extremely worn out, wrinkled and not clean to me. I felt very uncomfortable sleeping in them.

Le lieu qui sont très propre et élégant, le matelas était super confortable. Le brunch du dimanche est le meilleur brunch que j'ai mangé. Merci beaucoup.

Nomad Design & Lifestyle Hotel is perfectly located around the corner from the Kunstmuseum and close to many shops and restaurants and tram stops. I love the atmosphere - stylish, calm, with activity. I requested a quiet room and it was exactly that - I had such a restful greatly needed stay. Everything about the room was perfectly clean, the welcome personalised greetings really set the tone of the whole stay. One of my favourite features of my room was an insta-camera for guests' use! I took some unique and memorable photos in Basel and didn't use my phone. (!!). Switzerland can be a wonderful but costly place to visit - but the Nomad is well priced and excellent value. I will stay there again for my future yearly trips to Basel.

Amazing friendly and helpful staff, clean, in the middle of the city center, nice design and a very tasty breakfast!

Location of the hotel was just right off the old town, so it's convenient and not too noisy at the same time. The breakfast service was great, and the staff were always very nice and friendly. The room is big and comfortable, on top of looking good and stylish. The service was top-notch! I left an item behind and the team was able to send it back to me (within Switzerland) for free, with a nice little post card - very wonderful.

Very convenient location but I would not stay here again. There was no air conditioning in the room, just a Dyson fan. Our room was very hot and uncomfortable.
