Beautiful room, very comfortable

It was rather noisy and a bit bright as the shutters weren't particularly effective, but the noise is due to the location and I'm a very light sleeper so may not bother others

Nice good size room, with a nice modern bathroom. No air conditioning but large window that opens and supplied a good fan.

Could use a little fix up (some pealing paint, light bulbs not working).

The location was perfect for me. The staff welcome was lovely & efficient. Super comfy big bed and a big airy bathroom. Love the big copper bath. Love the decor & styling. Cosy without being twee. Good parking just behind the pub. Delicious food and an excelent selection of drinks. Lots of nice spaces for a drink and dining, inside and out. Altogether a lovely spot.

It was warm in the room, but it was an exceptional 38° in the shade outside. Some noise from outside, but England won at the football, so forgivable!

The photographs made it seem like it was a bigger room and everything was crammed in. There was a glass door leading to the bathroom, which allows you to see the next person in there which was inappropriate.

The room was very very hot, like above 90 degrees F! We stayed during a heat wave. There were fans in the rooms but they were inadequate. I have never tried to sleep in a room that hot.

Great decor and well appointed room. Staff were great ... quick to answer the phone and okay to help me with my late arrival.

Only going to mark down slightly for location ... good for access to the area but on a busy road junction.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel itself was excellent, very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. What really stood out was the staff, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.

One thing worth mentioning is the breakfast. If you book the breakfast-inclusive option, it includes croissants, chocolate pastries, and two pots of yogurt, along with a piece of fruit that you can pick yourself. If you would like a cooked breakfast, this is available, but there is an additional charge on top of the included breakfast.

Great pub, food and service - staff were excellent

Not the fault of the property but we stayed in a heat wave and the window did not open much, they did provide a fan on asking but the room was 31 degrees which meant a very hot night and not much sleep.

Die Reklamation des Loft wurde komplikationslos geregelt. Barservice, Housekeeping und Frühstücksstaff war so, wie es wünschenswert ist - super freundlich. Wir durften die anderen schönen Zimmer anschauen und die freistehenden Badezuber bewundern. Die Frühstückskarte bot eine große Auswahl an Eiergerichten und Bowls - bisschen viel Mayonnaise bei den Egg Benedict.

Bei der Reservierung des Loft war nicht klar, dass der Platz zwischen dem riesigen Bett (2 x 2) und der Wand sehr knapp war. Die gegenüberliegende Seite war nur durch Rüberklettern zu erreichen. Für uns daher ungeeignet.

We tried to cancel, emailed and made numerous phone calls. Told this to booking.com, then you weren’t answering your calls or emails to them. Only for you to reply to our emails 24 hours before we were due to arrive ensuring that we lost our money. Bitterly disappointed with this as the accommodation came highly recommended to us as did the restaurant, where we wanted others to joins us fir an evening meal and breakfast

Terrible front of house not answering the phone or returning emails for a long time. Bitterly disappointed To cap it all it took a month to get a refund back

Location and the room

Our room was really special and the staff could not have been more helpful particularly Etaine (?) the duty manager who was super kind helping me get back some lost property. The food was also exquisite especially as our dietary requirements ( plant based ) were catered for so well. Thanks chef !

Beautiful property, the room was gorgeous and decorated to high standard with very comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. The staff both in the evening and in the morning for breakfast were super helpful. The food was delicious with high quality ingredients. A perfect stay. Would love to return

Very comfortable well presented room, comfortable bed (very plump pillows), coffee machine, choice of herbal and Earl Grey teas but no normal black tea which was a shame. Fresh milk was available from a small cupboard on the landing which also housed an iron and board. It had a very good restaurant and the included breakfast was 1st rate. Very convenient for the town.

Only minor things that could be improved. The glass screen and door to the toilet/shower room (although reeded glass so not totally transparent) allowed you to see that there was a person using the room especially sitting on the toilet, not a problem for us and maybe fine for most couples but it was also very visible to anyone entering the room as right by the door. Sadly my very good breakfast got cold quickly due, I believe, to being served on a cold plate.

Staff were amazing, the room was gorgeous. We met our family for dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were great. Hotel is very well located and we were able to walk up the road and into the village. We chose the Kings Arms because it was close to our local family and to the airport . We were looking for something with a little more personality that an airport hotel and the Kings Arms certainly delivered.

The room was very warm and difficult to adjust the central heating. There was no iron available - it should have been in a little cupboard on the landing - not sure if someone else had held on to it , but might be a good idea to have a couple available.

Loved the venue and the staff ....and the location

BUT the Loft bed is really quite dangerous to manoeuvre around, my wife really struggled to get in and out...and she hurt her leg in the process...and the shower is a bit tired...but a really quirky room!

The whole structure was decorated beautifully. Max, our server and general Man Friday during the evening, was exceptional in every way. The lady who served our breakfast was good. We enjoyed dinner.

We were given the wrong room. When I pointed this out, I was told that I couldn't have chosen the room if I booked on Booking.com. This was very disappointing as we had deliberately chosen the Suite which has a sofa in the room and a bathtub in the bathroom which we prefer. Instead I had to have a bath in the main room which wasn't very enjoyable. We had to spend some time in the room and wanted the sofa for this reason. I didn't enjoy the attitude of this gentleman either. He seemed reluctant to help me with my suitcase up the stairs. It's a small thing but a shame given all the effort to make this a quality establishment. Lastly, the room was far too hot and changing the thermostat didn't lower the temperature. Opening the window was not an option due to the noisy road outside.

We had the loft apartment which was cute but extremely tight for space, couldn't walk around the bed, had to climb across to get out and nowhere to put clothes etc. We were only there for one night so no great issue though.

The waiting staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.

The bedroom. Small bed. We booked a room with an extra large bed. Nowhere to put clothes away had to live out of a suitcase for 4 days. Clean towels but not hoovered.

Nice comfy rooms with excellent food. Ideal location for walking the river and visiting the Magna Carta. There was also a great DJ on the Friday night that we enjoyed with a good friendly local crowd

Good service from professional staff. The restaurant (including menu) was better than I expected and I enjoyed my dinner. The location was convenient for the M25 and we were able to park in the hotel's car park. I had a good night's sleep and don't recall there being any road noise disturbance.

Our bedroom was missing clothes hangers (the only two hangers were being used for the bathrobes, so I had to un-hang those to hang up my clothes, even though I wasn't going to use the bathrobe). The bathroom: frosted glass wall to bedroom (not for everyone/all couples); plug in basin not working.

Visited several times and as usual everything was spot on great room ,great evening meal and wonder full breakfast .The staff are very attentive but at the same time easy going .

Very attractive place with a modern design. Very friendly staff. Great location for what I needed and a decent car park. Good food, especially the souffle!

The bedroom design was a disaster. It was an attractive loft space but no real soft seating and in order to close the blind/curtain in the bedroom area you had to roll across the bed; otherwise you would have banged your head on the ceiling. The wet room was very poorly designed with the controls for the shower 2 steps away from the shower and the shower gel on the bathroom sink a metre away. Thank goodness I found the shower mat as it would have been quite slippery to get around. Its a shame because it was a beautiful room and comfy space.

We initially were booked into the attic rooms. These were pleasantly quirky - but not suitable for older people. After a bit of pressure, staff moved us to a much more suitable room - which was fine. It might be advisable to be clearer in promotional that this room has limited access. Also both rooms had very limited space for putting clothes.

This hotel chain has stylish décor, very comfortable beds, clean bed linen, large en-suite bathrooms, and good facilities.

Having stayed with this hotel chain many times and having thoroughly recommended it to others, unfortunately The Kings Arms did not meet the same housekeeping standards as other properties in this chain. While the bed linen, toilet, and sinks were clean, the rest of the room appeared not to have been cleaned for some time, which was disappointing. The windows were affected by visible black and white mould. With improved housekeeping, this venue could be as pleasant as the others in the chain.

The room was very dusty, particularly behind the headboard, Breakfast was cold, eggs ice cold, hash brown still frozen in the middle. When we complained the chef argued that it wasn’t, very poor and wouldn’t recommend

Really lovely warm and cosy historic building, everything was well maintained and really looked after. Lots of extra touches in our room not to mention the amazing copper bath! Bed was incredibly comfy and the bedroom staff were very helpful when I asked for extra pillows. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. It’s a little gem in Egham!

Pics didn’t match the room - nice bath but broken so couldn’t use it & had to go downstairs in the morning because they’d forgotten to put milk on the shared fridge so couldn’t use the coffee machine either.

Gorgeous rooms, with modern facilities. Staff were super friendly.

Plenty of free parking, cosy bar, great restaurant/breakfast space, superb cozy boutique bedroom with attached wet-room bathroom. For those looking to get lunch, there's even an M&S Simply Food across the road.

Unable to turn off the extractor fan in the bathroom and couldn't get to the login screen for the wifi. Other than that, nothing.
