I had booked for 3 nights but had to checkout after one day due to my wife’s mother’s critical illness after which she eventually passed away. The hotel reception told me they will consider a refund if booking.com requested the same. Despite the request the hotel refused despite this being a genuine reason. Found this extremely insensitive and in bad taste

I booked 2 rooms at Courtyard by Marriott Freiburg Hotel, and the positive points are as following: 1- Fast check-in / check-out 2- Reception staff were friendly and supportive, thanks for Mr. Johannes. Also the lobby is well clean and organized. 3- The location of the hotel. 4- Comfortable bed and clean rooms. 5- The air-condition is very good. 6- The high-speed Wifi. 7- The parking under the hotel good and clean. 8- Breakfast buffet was very good.

Großes und modernes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Lage in der Stadt sehr gut, Einkaufsstraße ca. 5 min zu Fuß, Bahnhof 1 min also perfekt.

Das Zimmer indem wir waren, war bei unserer Ankunft etwas staubig, jedoch nichts, was man mit ein wenig pusten nicht beseitigen kann.

The hotel was modern and the bed was large and comfortable. The location was excellent as it was just a short walk from train station. There was a kettle and fridge in the room but again it could have been colder. The shower was very good and easy to access. The lifts were quick and a decent size. We didn't have breakfast but we did have dinner one evening and enjoyed our meals. Being so close to the train station meant it was easy for us to do a day trip to Titisee which is a lake resort in the Black forest. A lot busier on a Sunday than Freiburg. The area was quiet but some homeless people around

The room was a bit dark and cold. We turned the air con off but this didn't seem to make any difference. The only English channels were news channels.

La habitación es bastante amplia. A 15 minutos andando de la catedral. A tener en cuenta el fantástico parking que tienen. Con acceso directo al hotel y con las plazas muy amplias. Cerca de supermercado y de cafeterías

El precio de los desayunos es excesivo. 29 euros por persona. En la televisión 6 o 7 canales de paises de oriente medio y ninguno de España. Creo que eso es simple y mejorable

I only stayed three nights, and next time I will stay longer.

I liked the location and the access to parking at the hotel.

Not all eaten at restaurant were to our tastse. We did complain but it was just a matter of taste as meat was excellent fried but not “wurzig”. Unfortunately the chef did not come out to see what was really wrong although restaurant was not busy The staff was professional and pleasant

Nothing. Prices were high but I guess that is because it’s high season. I did not select the breakfast due to price, but overall a very good hotel.

Tout était vraiment super. La chambre est spacieuse, bien agencée, la literie est très confortable et le personnel à l écoute. Nous avons adoré la petite court intérieure pour y boire un verre le soir. C’est tranquille et agréable.

Le petit déjeuner est un peu cher : 30€ pp Cela dit, tout était qualitatif.

Perfect location for supermarket, cafes and main train station

I had requested a room not to be near dogs and had been immediately acknowledged by hotel that they would do their best to accommodate the request. Our stay was for 6 nights on the fourth floor. After 4 nights, some guests were allocated the room exactly opposite with a dog the size of a small donkey! We spoke to reception staff about this. The staff member reminded us that it was a dog-friendly hotel and dogs could be allocated to any room. We were quite shocked by this as had assumed that guests with dogs would be allocated rooms on the ground/first floors....but apparently not! My query about dog hairs and possible fleas (especially if dogs are allowed on the bed) was met with the reply that the housekeeping team always made a special effort for rooms that have had dogs in-situ. However, on our arrival we found a dirty tissue, a coin, a receipt from a sports shop and a button under our bed (which we reported to the reception staff)- so maybe vacuuming was not being carried out as they anticipated. We were offered a choice to move rooms but were dismayed that after 4 nights it should be us who were to move and not the couple with a dog who had only just arrived. I believe the Marriott's pet policy needs reviewing.

Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und vielfälltig. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die zentrale Lage und die Möglichkeit eines Tiefgaragenplatzes.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Gute Nähe zum Bahnhof und der Innenstadt. Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut geräumig!

Fitness ist spatanisch ausgerüstet. Für ein kleines Workout durchaus brauchbar. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt meiner Meinung nach leider nicht ganz.

Sehr gute Qualität des Frühstücks, kleine Portionen, tolle Bedienung. Vor allem abends nach 22 Uhr ,wo alle Restaurants zu hatten gab es in der Bar bis 24 Uhr noch sehr gut schmeckende belegte Brötchen die man kaufen konnte. Das Parkhaus war ausgezeichnet und der Sonderpreis für Hotelgäste auch.

Eigentlich gibt es so nichts negatives.

Unser Zimmer war etwas hellhörig und es gab ein paar Spinnenweben, ansonsten aber alles sauber und empfehlenswert.

Wer die Zimmereinrichtung mit den hohen, nur bedingt nutzbaren Schränken entworfen und genehmigt hat, hat keine Vorstellungen über die Bedürfnisse von Gästen

Schönes, sauberes und gut gekühltes Hotel mit super Lage nahe am Bahnhof und mit schnellem Zugang zur Altstadt. Äußerst freundliches Personal. Bequemes Bett und modernes Badezimmer.

Hier ist nichts zu erwähnen.

Trotz der zentralen Lage war es ruhig und das Frühstücksbuffet war top.

It is very central and very easy to access by car and by train. They have a shared garage with electric charge that for me is paramount

I was given 3 different information about how to pay parking, which I found VERY annoying: 1) the email said that I should have handed the parking entry ticket at reception and they would have dealt with the payment of 18€ per day; upon arrival I was told by an unfriendly receptionist that she would have validated it at check out… which made sense to me; upon checking out, a very friendly receptionist told me that I should have paid at the parking machine and that there would be the 1 tag (day) option for 18€. I was surprised but trusted her. Sure enough there was no such option and the machine charged me 21.5€ instead of 18. It’s not the 3.50€ difference and I didn’t even go up again (even if I was tempted), but the mixed info and the surcharge left me very disappointed. On top of that, while being very efficient, clean and centrally located, it is a business hotel with zero charm. So when travelling for pleasure, I’d choose a different place.

This hotel is perfectly located near the train station attractions which are only a short walk away. It’s exceptionally clean with welcoming, friendly staff who go above and beyond in their jobs to make each guest feel welcomed.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war ein Traum. Angefangen von dem netten Personal (insbesondere der Empfang durch Helga ...), die Zimmer modern und gut ausgestattet. Frühstück auf der Terrasse ein Traum.

Great new hotel, by far the best I have stayed at in Freiburg. Perfect location, nice rooms and bathrooms, lovely bar and green and calm courtyard where you can sit. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was expensive relative to the offering. Not fully convinced the AC system can cope when it gets really hot (it wasn’t that hot when we stayed)

Мы попросили заменить в номере чайник на кофе машину и нам в грубой форме отказали, сказали, что номер с кофе машиной стоит на 40 евро в день дороже, хотя было много пустых номеров с кофе машинками и можно было спокойно принести.Нам пришлось купить за 120 евро машинку себе в номер, а не платить 480 евро за смену номера.

Es ist ein sehr schönen modern eingerichtetes Hotel. Parkhaus direkt unter dem Hotel komme auch mit Lade Möglichkeiten. fußläufig zur Innenstadt gelegen.

Wir sind freitags angereist und sonntags abgereist. Ein Minuspunkt gibt es dafür, dass am Samstag das Zimmer nicht gereinigt wurde. Trotz Hinweis bei der Rezeption ist dies nicht erfolgt. Als Entschädigung gab es nicht mal ein Frühstück. Für diese Preiskategorie hätte ich das schon erwartet.

Ik kreeg elke dag een nieuwe handdoek, ondanks dat ik deze op het haakje (voor 'hergebruik') hing. Het ontbijt is lekker maar geen 30,- waard! Dat kun je in de stad beter besteden.

Plastic (of zoiets dergelijks) hoes om je bed heen. Lag niet lekker en gaf geluid bij het bewegen in je slaap. Het bed vond ik dus bedroevend om op te slapen

The housekeeping could have been better. Our room was not cleaned properly on the 2nd day. Also, a few towels were not changed. I would appreciate it if the hotel could look into this.
