Breakfast was good overall but the service wasn’t as good as our previous visit a few weeks ago

Ran out of lots of breakfast items and slow to top up, also the sausages were so anemic and didn’t look very appealing which is a shame as it’s one of the best bits of a cooked breakfast for me

It needs decorating and the shower drain did not work properly. We had accessable room and when we had a shower the water nearly went into the room itself. Had to use towels to soak the water up.

The breakfast and dinner deals were quite good value

The car park registration where the onus to be 100% correct after a long motorway journey seems to be completely on the guest, despite IBIS taking the money!

The shower struggled to get me wet and wash off the soap! The fact it is extra for parking! Why not include this in your price instead of disappointing the guest upon arrival because you squeezed this in small print on you booking! That is my biggest bug bear ! And because of this will not visit again!

Great place to stay just off the motorway. We were travelling late at night and was a perfect spot to break the journey and resume easily the next morning. Comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was great too with lots of choice. Would definitely stay again if needed.

Not sure why parking is charged. Can’t get there without a car so I’m sure everyone needed to pay for parking. We did book parking in advance so saved a little anyway.

Great for the dog. Spacious room. Nice touch to have haribos in the room. Good breakfast, regularly topped up when food ran out. Plenty of parking. Great to be able to charge the electric car overnight.

Parking charge - why not include this in the price?. Shower pressure in room 101 is terrible. Lighting could be better. Breakfast is expensive.

Welcoming and clean

The air conditioning unit in the room kept us awake all night it was so noisy and sounded like it was sparking so I had to get out of bed and keep Checking it . My son is severely autistic and this made his stay extremely uncomfortable he was not happy at all .

As a dog owner the location was not good for walking due to the hotel situation on.a industrial estate.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. We asked if a taxi could be booked for a wedding we were attending and the reception staff happily ordered one for us. We also requested an early check in, to which they accommodated.

The room interior looked liked it may have not been finished, and a disabled access room was given to us, however this did not impact our stay.

It was brilliant, lovely hotel and very cheap, breakfast was excellent and staff were lovely.

Erm......the lemonade from the bar was quite refreshing.

Room was noisy, sounded like a washing machine was going all night. When air con was turned on by the man on reception, it was noisy, the plastic slapped against other bits...... Bathroom was dirty. Pubes everywhere. Didn't dare take a shower.....

The walls in the room were unfinished. Bare concrete. Looked terrible. Had an uncomfortable feel to it. We were told they were designed to show the the industrial history of Bridgwater. I come from Bridgwater and I didn't get it at all!

It’s an observation not a criticism: there is nowhere ‘to go’ unless you get back in your car. It’s on a business park. Bit don’t let that put you off unless you want amusements at your front door.

Better parking and security for motorcycles

Breakfast was fantastic for the money, staff were attentive and extremely helpful.

The room although clean and comfortable had damp on the walls throughout which could potentially have caused a health hazard had l stayed longer.

Overcharged on a baileys , £10 for a measure when it was supposed to be £5, informed management and he brushed it off , no sorry at all

The fact I complained on the morning I left that the shower drain wasn't working properly,water covered the floor,which was dangerous,smelt of urine, I've sent photos,no response to emails or chat!?! Week ago tomorrow, Room 402, I've asked for refund, but no one has been in touch!!!

Had to change rooms due to a plumbing issue (smelt horrendous). Didn't like the decor, felt like a prison cell.

Everything!! The chocolate cookies at check in, the room, the breakfast and particularly the staff. Alice on reception gave a great recommendation of a country pub for dinner, supplied water for our room and was extremely welcoming. At breakfast the duty manager and "food" lady worked tirelessly to keep the quality food fully stocked. Probably the best Ibis we have stayed in.

Bar staff were really slow and unable to change a barrel, and breakfast was nice but very slim pickings. Considering we were a coach load and there were a further 2 coach parties you would.of thought it would of been very well stocked

Perfect to stay over off the motorway. Bar looked great and staff friendly. Room was clean and modern. Had everything we needed. Great shower and comfortable bed. Blackout curtains perfect and very quiet.

I did like that it was modern however the industrial feel in the room did make it feel less cosy but I understand the vibe.

Bedroom spacious. Large, comfortable bed. Evening waitress smiling and personable. Breakfast host very cheerful. Breakfast good. Chocolate dessert good. Bathroom (wet room) spacious.

Parking not free. Credit card fee deducted for parking £6, not clear before booking. In dining room, once seated, waitress alone so service very slow, 20 mins seated before order taken. Small selection of meals included in half-board with other options requiring a surcharge, with 10% extra payable for any dietary variation. Dining room very noisy. 'Curry' was a bowl if sauce with a fried piece of breadcrumbed reconstituted chicken and a shape of rice. Only one hanger in bedroom. Only one very hard hair in bedroom, or sit on bed as no comfortable chair. Road noise from dual carriageway. No shelves in bathroom at all - one needed by basin for toiletries and one needed in shower for soap and shampoo - so all washbag items have to be put on the floor. Towel rail 7-8 feet from shower. Lift out of order in morning.

The hotel is relatively new and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean and fresh, which made for a good night's sleep. Overall, the room felt tidy and well kept.

Unfortunately, I felt that the hotel was overpriced for what it actually offers. The location is in an industrial area, and there is very little to do nearby. If you enjoy exploring the surroundings on foot, you'll probably be disappointed, as there is nothing particularly interesting within a 10-minute walk. The rooms are also quite small, and the overall design wasn't really to my taste. The exposed concrete walls give the impression that the room is unfinished rather than stylish. In addition, the use of metal structures instead of traditional furniture makes the space feel somewhat cold and industrial, rather than warm and welcoming.

The service time in the restaurant was terrible. 1hr 20 to receive our meals and further delay waiting for desert. We were also charged for the second course of the two course meal included in the booking. I’ve been told it was refunded but haven’t seen the credit in my account yet. There were dirty/sticky marks on the wall in one of the rooms. The lift was broken when we were leaving so had to carry our bags downstairs. On the plus side, beds were comfy, breakfast fine and the Portuguese guy who was working at breakfast is an asset to them.

Lifts broke on the morning for several hours. We have stayed here on previous times but this was first problem with lifts. There are at least 3 bins in the car park for general litter and dog poo bags... but they were overflowing during our stay. There are a lot of dogs stay here and there should be more emptying of bins.

The location was excellent and the bar was reasonably priced and the breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable.

We were on the top floor and there was evidence that there had been mould on the top of the walls and they needed redecorating

No fridge in room, water pressure very low so took longer in the shower. Bean stone cold for breakfast time, I was one of the first in the morning on the second day of our stay and on another day 1 hour later and both days these were very cold. Staff never asked how the meal was so I could explain and let them know the beans were stone cold.

Easy access from M5 is a great stopover. Very dog friendly. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our needs. Only slight criticism was that breakfast could have been slightly warmer.

As a fairly new hotel it’s all quite clean and fresh. The bed was comfy enough, water pressure was good which is always a pain when it’s bad. Location handy close to M5, bar open late and ample parking.

Breakfast not worth the money, poor quality and limited choice. Staff training and customer service needs improving, all younger team when we checked in who needed three of them to make one drink. Following day at breakfast same situation plus an older person (maybe manager) seems disinterested in anything to do with the hotel or his team. I don’t fault the staff, I fault the likely lack of training and direction.

Clean and cool room, air con was excellent, great bathroom with lovely products. A Bristol rd view gave us the most amazing sunset each evening. Traffic noise minimal considering location Location for the purpose of our visit was perfect. Bar and public areas were welcoming . Reception staff were helpful friendly and efficient.

The car park could be expensive if not pre booked to ensure the deal.

It was a perfect stopover for Cornwall, liked the design of the hotel, staff very friendly, very clean, air conditioning worked, easy to find & breakfast was well co-ordinated.

There could be better lighting in the room and a safety strip on the floor between the bathroom n hallway, so it's highlighted.

Checked in no problem, other than us being unaware of the extra cost for the dog and parking. They sent us the information about extra £9 for the dog and £6 for parking after we had checked out of the property and been going for around 4 hours. And then proceeded to send it again. As the property was in the idle of nowhere had decided to eat in the restaurant, this was a bad mistake. Not only did we have to wait for a long time for out food to come out even though we ordered very early in the service time and the restaurant only had a few other people ordering and eating. The food came out cold and disgusting and was way over priced. Admittedly the manager was nice enough to refund our meals. The staff were standing around doing nothing the customers were getting more and more irate. One of the showers (we had 2 rooms ) was just a dribble of water

Ease of access from motorway junction, located on a industrial estate so no traffic good ups or queuing. Very quiet area. The staff were nice and welcoming, service with a smile.

The decor was a case of marmite, you either love it or hate it. The shower is great with plenty of space. Nothing really not to like.
