Exceptional service from all members of staff including the restaurant staff. Good rooms with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom.
Hallways to the rooms don't have air conditioning and can be very warm
Fantastic
Rooms ans hotel spotless and stylish. Great amenities and access to food 24 hours a day. Staff were super helpful and friendly
Very clean, well- maintained and spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, efficient air-con, very kind and helpful reception,We tried the steakhouse within the hotel twice, it was amazing

It was clean, well laid out room & a lovely shower room
Easy check-in and check out. Great facilities for what we needed. Very clean and comfortable.
breakfast/if you get to breakfast early its better later the food ie sausages have been on the pass to long and are hard same as fried eggs etc just keep refreshing the food
On check in I was upgraded to a kingsize room for free. I was immensely pleased with this due to sharing with a child for the evening, it meant I got more bed space. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfy.
The shower leaked so the pressure was not great. Had this in another room when I previously stayed. The towel rail didn't heat up so by morning the towels we used the night before were still damp. There wasn't enough sugar for 2 cups of tea in the morning and only one bottle of still water. The iron when used left dirty water marks on my clothes. I forgot my toothbrush and the hotel don't offer spares or flannels which I think they should consider for the future. The hairdryer was clogged with dust and when turned on gave off a burning smell.
Just booked for my 60th but wouldn't upgrade me for my 60th for adapted room wanted £25 to do this shame as my partner has a bad hip and the shower is alot easier for him .
Great hotel, comfortable bed, gorgeous breakfast, exceptional staff
No breakfast
Great location, good value hotel.
Car park charges
The balcony is a game changer for us, fresh air and access to the outside. Rooms are smaller for a king but the balcony makes up for that. The location is surprisingly quiet.
Bathroom floor should have been cleaner and dust puffs between the bed and side table - dropped item. Dinner was lovely, breakfast could be better- fresher.
On arrival, you will find this hotel has plenty of parking, however it requires payment. Please note - the images on Maps pre-2026 show that the parking is secluded by a wall and barrier entry, however the parking is now open and shared with another site. Check-in was simple and easy to complete. The atmosphere was fairly formal but welcoming to all. Upon entering the room I was satisfied with the size of room and comfort of the bed. The room itself was very clean and modern. The noise insulation was good for both the road noise and any hallway noise. Overall I would recommend the hotel for people staying within the area.
Everything. Love it here.

The best
Reception staff was lovely. Room was nice
The breakfast is NOT worth the money. £19.50 each, and it was shocking. No one was checking to make sure the people attending had paid either
Location, friendly and nerdy helpful
Bed sheets where a little stained not by me Staying also two nights had to ask for room to be cleaned, not fussed about cleaning but towels to be changed and water refilled
Staff always fantastic.

Fantastic price, lovely hotel, huge bed and great breakfast, nice staff especially the staff cleaning the room

Exceptional value and very good restaurant attached
The depressed and depressing surroundings
Great value for money, friendly helpful staff throughout, great choice breakfast Would Definitely recommend
The shower, bed and pillows, was very quiet.
The wait for a taxi that was called
Spacious clean room with large king bed. All your needs taken care of, no issues at all
Modern, spacious clean
Paid car park
Convenient to the places I was visiting.
£20 for 2 nights parking in an open unsecured car park used as a 'rat run' by drivers avoiding the lights. Many drinks were very overpriced as was the food. The breakfast buffet had been under the lights for much too long. Only one machine to get tea or coffee. It would be nice to be able to pay less & just have the continental breakfast. Overall I've stayed in more 'budget' hotels for much less but the overall feel has been pretty similar. I don't plan to use the hotel again.
Good breakfast, quick service, good choice
We used the hotel as a stop over on our journey to Cornwall so we arrived quite late and left in the morning however we found the hotel to be really good. Excellent value with good standard rooms, we were upgraded complementary to a larger room so plenty of room for a family of 3 with water etc available. The receptionist was friendly upon arrival and check in was smooth as was check out. We enjoyed breakfast with a good selection and good value with children eating free.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel during one of the heatwaves. South facing room but air conditioning was more than adequate. Nicely appointed room with all the expected extra's including bottled water. Very comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. Good sized shower room with powerful shower. Breakfast was excellent! Nice bread and plenty of choice for those of us that aren't keen on a full English, although the hot option all looked very good and freshly cooked. Large free car park. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and food was fine - good average hotel food. Service was good at breakfast and in the evening at the bar and restaurant. Receptionist could have been a bit more guest friendly, but not a deal breaker. Location wasn't great but I knew this before I booked. We used it as a base to explore the local area.
Easy parking, easy check in, comfortable clean room and bed, excellent shower, air conditioning works, good breakfast.
Older TV with no streaming or HD. Hotel a bit pricey for Bridgwater.
Breakfast, and the staff were absolutely amazing , especially the night staff we were overly impressed with how we were treated and looked after
Fresh towels wasn't replaced
The hotel is fine just to get your head down, but they need to get organised at meal times. They were disorganised . And please make sure if you are driving that you pay for parking like we did for the two nights, and we still got a parking ticket for one night as the person at the desk only put us in for one nights parking . So now I have to pay a fine for one night ( because it’s there mistake) and now I have to do the leg work and send parking Eye the company that deals with the parking and Appeal . Because the receptionist never done her job correctly .
Location was fine reception staff attentive lovely clean room
Breakfast was disappointing no orange juice pink grapefruit that tasted like water fruit salad wasn’t all fresh fruit some tinned used bacon ok mushrooms and beans could have been warmer and the fried eggs were swimming in grease
Clean and tidy
Nothing
The hotel was excellent so clean and spacious. Courteous staff. Nothing a problem
The disabled parking bays. They simply are just not big enough to swing a car door wide open to get a disabled.person out if someones parked next to you. And as its easier to reverse as cars parked opposite u then cant open the boot for the wheelchair because the sign comes straight across ur boot.
Bloomin lovely hotel, upgraded us on arrival which was a treat, bed very comfy and big shower. Loved that its got air con aswell especially in the heat we having atm... check out at 12 is also great, will deffo be back ☺️
Value for money and good atmosphere.
Shower soap empty on arrival and bar staff inexperienced with an odd choice of glasses for liquers, neither of which mattered or spoilt the overall very good experience.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. The bathroom was very clean.
The lightbulb in the room was broken and didn’t work and the television control wouldn’t go on and off at all absolutely useless
Clean and felt new
Car parking arrangements. Hotel guests shouldn’t have to pay.
I visited the Mercure Bridgwater Hotel for dinner to mark a significant birthday. The first thing to say is that the chefs should be commended for producing really tasty food - I greatly enjoyed my steak. Their good work should not be overshadowed by the poor service of others. They are let down, however, by their colleagues. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I entered my car registration on the tablet at reception to exempt it from parking charges (as I have done at many other hotels). I was then told abruptly by a receptionist that payment was required, even if patronising the hotel restaurant! In what world does a hotel charge its patrons for use of the car park? Having been shown to our table in the empty restaurant (though the bar area was filling up with tradesmen), we then encountered a waiter who wasn't ready to take our order because his phone wasn't logged in - a prime opportunity to show some initiative and get a pad and pen and write the order down. When asked what the specials were, the waiter could not give an answer (nor did they do anything to source an answer). When the order was taken, the glass of white wine I ordered arrived as a glass of red wine. That had to be rectified. Needless to say, the jug of tap water ordered did not appear - prompting was required. The food was tasty, it was the only enjoyable feature of my visit. However, between three people, for two courses and glass of wine, the cost was £43 per head. That is a lot of money for a dining experience that provokes more regret at selecting the establishment than enjoyment of its food and customer service. More broadly, the Mercure Bridgwater represents the demise of British hospitality: nobody cared about providing a good service, most probably because nobody was trained in good service - they wouldn't know what it looks like. I cannot reasonably imagine patronising a hotel restaurant in France or Spain and the waiter not having a clue what the specials of the day were; yet, in this restaurant this is par for the course. My experience of Mercure Bridgwater Hotel's restaurant left me feeling they were out to take money from me the moment I walked in the door, and provide as poor a service as they could get away with. I would be very glad to speak to the hotel manager about how my poor experience can be rectified. I will also seek to get in touch with Marco Pierre White Restaurants to convey my disappointment.

The air conditioning worked perfectly, which is quite rare in UK hotels.
The older receptionist I spoke to on Monday the 13th at around 11 a.m. was quite stern and spoke to me as though I could not understand English. There was also confusion about a £20 parking fee, as I had been told at check-in that I only needed to enter my registration number. A polite explanation and apology would have been appreciated.
Claimed to be dog friendly but excluded from restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
Main window glass was broken. Not informed before we entered room.
It was excellent.
Comfortable and spacious room
Found a pair of socks under the side table from a previous guest. But everything else was great
Always a very friendly welcome from the staff here. Lovely spacious dog-friendly room, plenty of parking space and nice bar area to relax in.
Breakfast was wonderful. Room wasn't as big as a premier inn one
Hotel was in a superb location very close to the town, weather was very warm outside but on entering the hotel it was fully air-conditioned (Fantastic) very clean and modern, lifts to all floors, room had kettle, iron and ironing board comfortable bed. Very very happy
Nothing all was fabulous

Clean hotel, friendly greeting and easy check in and out. The room was lovely and clean, with a great night sleep.
The room was with balcony
Everything was alright
Hotel classico che mantiene le sue aspettative. Posizione ottima. Comodo il parcheggio ma a pagamento
We came to bridgwater for a funeral...This was our 3rd time in this hotel. Rooms lovely and clean. Bar staff excellent service as where the reception staff. Now the breakfast let the hotel down. The hot food counter wasn't replenished and we had to wait for the eggs. Chef on today needs to be more efficient. Breakfast food was basic. Weatherspoon breakfast we had yesterday would knock spots off at half the price. As for the gentleman who check our room number. Whilst he was replenishing the sliced bread. He didn't wear any disposable gloves. Not good enough. We travel a lot in the UK and abroad and expect a reasonably standard of hygiene, cleanliness and value for money. The breakfast definitely was not..
Great location for to town center lovely beds
Lady on check in was quite rude just because our 11year old was getting ready with us before she stayed at her grandparents Air conditioning didn’t was meaning the door had to stay on for the balcony as u can imagine was extremely noisy because for the main road
Friendly staff. Good restaurant.
Nice clean rooms, had everything that was needed for comfortable stay.
No complaints
Nothing much, except that they did eventually refund half my money
I arrived at 20;30, sign said restaurant open until 22:00. I asked for table for one person. Manager said "We are closed now". I pointed out the sign. He gave some excuse about being very busy. I could see loads of empty tables. Obviously the restaurant manager is not fit for post, as he could not organise service to match demand, nor could he talk to customers in a respectful manner.
Nice shower and comfortable room...good place to eat
Friendly staff, convenient location, excellent restaurant.
Reception is located in an inconvenient spot.
Friendly staff allowed to take my dog great facilities excellent shower
Everything was great
Hotel building, bar and room
Air conditioning not working on a very hot evening
Modern and lovely bedroom and bathroom
Area was not the best
Excellent hotel. Comfortable, clean room, high-quality linens. Attentive staff. They prepared a bowl and a blanket for the dog. The hotel exceeded expectations.

Location was good
The bar was shut 9.45 closed all dark no staff there no one said

Good location, good price, good room which was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice restaurant and bar. The dinner we had was very good quality. There was plenty of parking on site.
Breakfast buffet was very expensive £19 and looked below average, we went out for breakfast Parking cost £10 per night which was not clearly stated and unexpected Dinner was quite good, but the staff were good, but over worked and provided quite poor service
Very comfortable rooms. Mine backed on to the A38 but that was not a problem as the windows were soundproof. I was on the 2nd floor. Walkable from the railway station and a short distance to the town centre
Nice clean hotel with large rooms and a good restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful
The local town of Bridgwater is very run down
