Friendly and welcoming staff
Very convenient and staff was wonderful
Wonderful location with spectacular views. Great owners, great staff, great breakfast, great bar. In a word: Great! One of the finest hotel stays of my life.
Great experience - wonderful staff.
The best kept secret in Chamonix. I look forward to staying with them next time!
What a great spot, staff were extremely helpful and so friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend. The view from our balcony was amazing!
views of the mountains
Excellent room with dramatic view of Mont Blanc and other peaks. Paragliders landed right in front of the hotel - most entertaining. The breakfast was very good too. The staff were most helpful.
Great place, friendly staff, clean room, great views!
Deklen, Gabriel and all of the staff were very helpful and professional. It is a beautiful, historic hotel, with awesome views in a great location.
マウンテンビューは最高でしたが、少し街の中心からは歩きます。ただ、ゲレンデを歩くので気持ちいいです。サービスもありがたかったです。
Vraiment un beau séjour sur toute la ligne!
Like not being in direct downtown area of Chamonix. Beautiful views of Mount Blanc and paragliders landing in the field off our balcony. Very warm and charming sitting areas in the lobby, bar, and outside deck. Every staff member was wonderful!
The hotel and breakfast were really nice, but the owner was rude to us. We had our baby with us, who for some reason was not registered in their system. When we arrived, they said that normally we should book a larger room (and pay more) when traveling with a baby, but that it was fine for now. However, when we were about to leave, the owner suddenly changed her mind and demanded that we pay extra because of the baby – even though we had not been given a larger room. The price for a 10-month-old baby is €20 per night without a bed, or €20 extra for a baby bed. On top of that, it’s €12 per night for a dog. And if you want to enjoy your own champagne in the room, they charge another €20. In short: the hotel and breakfast are nice, but the management will find ways to get extra money from you.
Clean, great service and location
Hôtel La Sapinière was fantastic. Firstly the rooms and balconies were excellent and the views were amazing. Its a short and easy walk into town but ifs far enough out to be very peaceful. The breakfast was tasty, especially the pastries, and the bar area was lovely with a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Finally the staff were so helpful and friendly helping with transport options and excursion ideas. Do not hesitate to book Hôtel La Sapinière!
There's not much to not like here. The room and location was great. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. We had an outstanding view from our window. Loved it.
Nice hotel with lovely check in staff.
Amazing view of the mountains from the balcony. Good breakfast. Tiny separate toilet.
Loved our stay! Views from the room were astounding! Would absolutely stay here again.
Brilliant location and views from the hotel
The views were incredible! Waking up to Mont Blanc was spectacular. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location was perfect and walkable to town. Highly recommend!
We have the best time from the ease of check-in to the ease of checkout, the friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness made this an A1 trip. In fact, weWe have the best time from the ease of check-in to the ease of checkout, the friendliness of the staff and they’re helpfulness made this an A1 trip. In fact, we enjoyed this trip so much we extended our stay solely because we not only enjoyed the town, but the hotel made us want to stay even longer. This was one of the best experiences we’ve had traveling. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. Stay here with confidence.
Amazing stay. Away from the hustle of the town nestled in a calm and serene neighbourhood. But still only 10 mts walk to the centre. Beautiful view of the mountains and a very good bar for drinks and relaxation.
We loved the add on breakfast, which was very extensive. The sauna was a lovely treat at the end of the day and the staff was very friendly and gracious.
Famulous location with views of Mont Blanc and the paragliders adding to the scene. Breakfast includes this view too. Hotel is pretty old. Was a bit disappointed that I wasn't allowed a ceramic mug or glass. Paper cups don't add to the Sustainability or service score. They were kind when French bank held my money and I got robbed by my bank for exchange rate charges on lift pass.
Charming family owned hotel, staff and owners provided exceptional service, breakfast outstanding and views not to be matched! However, room was small and shower/tub slippery and difficult to get into and out of with no grab bars. Also, no shuttle provided to/from rail station but there is a bus that stops across the street.
The views were spectacular! Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Walkable to town.
A friendly family run hotel with great staff and a friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect.
Beautiful hotel in a quiet area within walking distance to town. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great family run hotel. Loved the outdoor jacuzzi which could be booked after hard day of skiing
Extremely friendly and helpful staff in a safe and convenient location. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic place to stay if you're skiing in Chamonix. Great location close to the centre, but just far enough out to be quiet. Amazing staff. All very friendly and accommodating. Let us use the room to freshen up after we skied on our last morning.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sapiniere the room wes comfortable with great views and a lovely balcony which we enjoyed. The staff were always polite and nothing was to much trouble. We will not hesitate to stay here on our return to Chamonix. Lovely place in a quiet location with stunning views, brilliant.
Views from hotel are amazing and staff is super friendly and hospitable as it is family run. We will be back soon! Location is great too.
My partner and I came for a ski trip and this was the perfect place for our stay! Staff were very friendly and personable. They gave us the best restaurant and ski spot recommendations. Plus a nutritious/delicious breakfast to fuel our day. We could walk everywhere into town and had the best views of Chamonix/Mont-Blanc. Will definitely stay here again!
Good location, kind and accommodating staff, clean and pretty. Rooms are slightly small but you get good value for the amazing price! Very happy with the experience
Very nice view of Mont Blanc from the room and balcony. Also located nearby Center Ville.
The staff was amazing and accommodated any request that I had. The location of the hotel was perfect for getting around in Chamonix. The hotel was old but very clean and very comfortable. I would return or recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Well worth the cost!
Convenient last minute reservation. Very friendly staff. The rooms could use some love though- our room had a bunch of dust left behind the door when we walked in, and it was so hot that we had to sleep with the balcony doors fully open each night due to the lack of A/C. However, outdoor area, proximity to town, and views are wonderful, and the breakfast area is great. Overall solid 3/5.
I highly recommend this hotel! The staff was very kind and helpful, the breakfast buffet is high quality, and I found the room very sweet and comfortable. I give the place 5 stars overall, but I would provide just a couple small suggestions to the management: It isn't their policy to have mini fridges in the rooms, and while I'm sure there is a good, perhaps environmental, reason for this, it's really inconvenient even if you just want to keep your chocolate or drinks cold. They ask that you don't bring in takeaway food and I also found this tough as a solo traveler who doesn't really like dining alone in busy restaurants all the time. Apart from the breakfast, they do not have a restaurant. I'd also like to suggest a slightly heavier touch with cleaning the room on days other than check in. To be clear, the room was very clean upon arrival--no complaints. I just wished the bathroom countertops and the shower seemed to get a clean surface wipe down. Water remained in the shower from when I used it, and the counter had little rings and water spots from my daily use. It would be nice to have decaf tea available in the room, but I'd like to thank the staff member who provided me some from the bar when I asked. These are small suggestions for the hotel, but for anyone looking for a great place to stay, I'd say this is a wonderful choice.
La Sapiniere was wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony that looked out over Chamonix and directly at Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi, and a 5 minute walk to the town square. All day, paragliders landed right in front of the hotel - thrilling. We had no problem getting a parking spot each night. Highly recommend!
Great location, Mandy and her team couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Rooms are really clean, only negative as this is an old building, you can easily hear people in the next room, but this is definitely not enough to stop us returning.
Very nice hotel with an outstanding staff. A little away from the downtown area but an easy walk. Our room overlooked a large field where the numerous paragliders landed right in front of us. Very pleasurable experience and now we want to go back there.
Amazing view from our room. Fabulous location. Really terrific staff. A great stay!!
The views are amazing! We had our veranda doors open the entire time we were there, watching paragliders land in the park across the street with Mont Blanc in the background. The facility is rustic but in excellent condition. We will return!
Kitchen staff not helpful and did not allow me to get coffee before designated time and would not supply instant packets for the day. Front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful!
The room was small, amenities were lacking in the room ,such as a paper cup each for tea coffee or water. The management and staff were very helpful and friendly
Front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful! Room was nice and clean. Location is very convenient. View from both balcony and breakfast room is very beautiful. Breakfast was also very nice with lots of choices. Price was not cheap. But compared to the restaurants in the town, still very valuable. We enjoyed our stay.
Good place for the price
amazing view, bus stop, beautiful property, very helpful staff
It is a very nice family run hotel. The food was great and their staff very attentive and friendly. It is very clean and well maintained. Very convenient and Walkable to the city center.
Myself and my husband recently spent a week at this hotel and loved it. The staff were friendly and the view from our room/balcony of Mont Blanc was stunning. The hotel is fairly close to town (5/10 min walk) and lovely and quiet with a large grassy area in front with free car parking at the hotel as well. It is also close to the trails/cable cars for running or hiking the mountains. There is also a lovely river walk close by if you want something a bit flatter. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very friendly, clean and quiet with beautiful views!
We had an amazing stay here! Location is perfect and it is such a treat watching the paragliders land outside the room terraces. The breakfast and service at the bar are two other amazing perks that make this hotel a gem. Would highly recommend!
Very easy access to the ski bus and close to town but quiet. Lovely sauna and friendly staff. It's a family lodge and the owners and staff were very helpful in suggesting best areas for us to aki on different days.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. The only issue was that the Wi-Fi does not work for whatsapp in our phones. The staff informed us that this may happen if you have Iphone. Other than that the wifi was working good.
Terrific older hotel in a nice location near downtown Chamonix. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful when asked questions about restaurant reservations, skiing ideas, etc. If there is enough snow you can walk across the street and cross a small park on your skis, grab a short poma lift then do a short walk down to the Brevent Cable car. Alternatively, there are bus stops right outside the hotel where you can catch buses to various other parts of town. There are a few nearby restaurants that are a short walk. The views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille de Midi from our room were spectacular. We had a smallish room with two smaller beds, a bathroom with tub and shower, with the toilet in a separate room. A bit older radiator heating system that got quite warm at times. Nice balcony with views so opened the door a time or two to cool things down. Ski storage rooms with boot dryers was nice. Outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna. You can reserve a time to use privately. You can pre order breakfast for the following morning for an additional fee. Overall an exceptional experience if you don’t need a lot of space.
Great staff, clean room close to everything
Loved this chalet style, independent hotel. Clean and comfortable. Easy free parking on site. Convenient, short walk into town. Wonderful views from or room/balcony. Great breakfast. Super friendly helpful staff.
We had a wonderful stay at La Sapinière. A very cosy traditional hotel in a perfect location just outside the main centre of Chamonix, with superb views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We would most definitely stay there again.
Very comfortable and homey atmosphere, but also well-appointed and fastidiously clean. The staff are all welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I revisit the area.
We had a fantastick stay at this wonderful resort hotel. The owner Patrick and his wife were great . Pasquale their all around utility man was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Overall the best view of any hotel Ive ever stayed at. You must come and see the French sister city and stay at this wonderful third generation family owned hotel.city to Aspen Colorodo
Beautiful hotel with incredible view from our room. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!
Perfect view from our balcony. The pics we we shot with our I14’s phone cameras were excellent. This is a very traditional ski chalet. The winter must be ama ing.
Great place to watch the paraglider land. Short walk to the central area of Chamonix. The only thing I wish the hotel room had was a mini fridge for groceries.
Great location, very nice staff, very comfortable and clean hotel.
Very nice family hotel on the edge of Chamonix olde town. Breakfast is basic and nice. Hot tub after skiing was great. Lifts nearby and on local bus route.
Great location and view. Very nice owner and staff.
Very nice place and great staff
Loved my stay here! Cozy breakfast as well as the Sauna jacuzzi giving it a great touch. Spacious rooms. Free parking. Everything was amazing!
Nice staff, great views, close enough to walk to everything but being on a quiet side street was perfect!
An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Beautiful rooms. Amazing views and the nicest staff you can imagine. Highly reccomended.
Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! We were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff when checking in and helped carry our luggage to our room. No lift available. The room was very Swiss with the MOST spectacular view of Mt Blanc and glacier. Request a balcony room facing the Mt for sure. Super comfortable beds and large bathroom and of course a great patio with seating. Fun watching the paragliders land right in front of the hotel. Dog friendly and brought our dog treats, water bowl and a cute mat without even bring requested. Will always stay here for my future visits to Chomonix
Unique and wonderful swimming pool! Good food. Very hard mattress and pillow.
Really lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We even had a little guided tour of the hotel when we arrived. Our room was spotless with a comfy bed, pillows and duvet, as well as a beautiful view. Access to the hot tub was amazing after an intense day of skiing. The location was perfect for beginner skiers as it’s just across from the beginner slope (2 minute walk if that, visible from the hotel). Breakfast was nice, generally a good spread, but I would have liked an option for scrambled eggs. Overall a wonderful stay with lovely staff and we would stay there again.
Great location, warm boot room, hot tub, comfy bed, helpful and lovely owners and staff. Pictures show it’s not the most modern hotel but it’s perfectly good!
Our stay was interrupted due to covid but the hotel owner was very helpful and accomodating.
The staff are kind and thoughtful. The views of Mont Blanc are really nice. The area is quiet but close enough to Chamonix to be a great location.
We stayed here for two nights in August and LOVED this boutique hotel. The staff and owners were wonderful, the location and views of Mont Blanc were spectacular, and this place far exceeded our expectations. The building is old and was managed by another company for 18 years, but the original family took it back in November and are slowly bringing it back to its former glory. Decor is a bit outdated, bad European hairdryers, etc, but it’s clean, convenient, extremely reasonable, and honestly has one of the best views of Mont Blanc in all of Chamonix. Plus, for fun, paragliders can be seen all day landing in the field in front of the hotel. It’s really a little hidden gem if you appreciate a family owned business. We will definitely be back.
The property was exactly what you would expect a French ski chalet to look like-beautiful building in great shape. The view of Mont Blanc from our balcony was amazing. The owners and staff were very friendly and took care of all of our needs. Excellent breakfast choices.
hotel facility is old. but, it is very clean and calm.
