Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Oakhurst Yosemite

Die Suite war sehr geräumig, modern und sehr sauber. Es gab viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Das nahgelegene Brauhaus hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Der Eingang zum Yosemite NP war etwa 20 Minuten entfernt und Tunnel View etwa 60 Minuten.

Nous avons eu un très gros problème à l’arrivée, Booking n’avait pas réglé la chambre à l’hôtel. L’hôtel n’a rien voulu savoir, la personne à l’accueil a eu aucune compassion et nous a laissé nous débrouiller. Au final nous n’avons pas eu le choix que de payer à nouveau notre chambre, il était 22h30, sinon nous dormions dehors avec nos enfants. j’ai fait remonter le problème à Booking, je n’ai toujours pas de nouvelles depuis plus de 24 heures. Dans l’histoire, nous avons payé deux fois la chambre et personne ne réagit. Ce n’est pas à la hauteur de la qualité de service de Booking. J’attends une réponse rapidement.

Over night stay for Yosemite tour. Hotel check in went well, three room reservation only showed two rooms…staff quickly fixed. Rooms were clean with a comfortable bed and lots of hot water in the shower. Complementary breakfast was good, friendly staff and a good cup of coffee.

The room 207 that I stayed in on the night of 6/27/2026 for my Yosemite visit had a strong musty smell in the room that came from the carpet and air conditioning, so I ended up only staying one night instead of the two nights I originally booked. We could not even sleep with the air conditioning in because it was the source of the smell and did not help ventilate the room. When I asked the front desk about checking it early and the refund process for the second night, they told me that I needed to work with my travel agent (I had booked the hotel through Capital One travel), and they said that their manager could approve the refund. They gave me the manager’s name, “Gene Price”, for the refund process. The next morning (6/27/2026), I had to check out from the hotel early (at 5am) to start my drive to Yosemite. When I called the front desk from my room telephone to check out, the phone rang for at least a minute and no one answered. After that, I went down to the front desk lobby and there was no one there, but there was a sign that they would be back in 5 minutes, so I went to load my car first. When I went back to the lobby after, there was still no one there (this was at least 15 minutes at this point from when I tried calling from my hotel room). Not knowing how much longer I would have to wait, I returned my room key cards by leaving them at the front desk and left the hotel, figuring I would try to call the hotel to check out while I was on the way to Yosemite. I called the hotel at 5:18 am and no one picked up. I called again at 5:38am, and this time some one did pick up and we told them we would like to check out, confirming with them that we returned our room key cards at the front desk when we had left earlier. I thought we had fully checked out, but I found it odd because I did not get the check out email until the next day (6/28/26 at 11:36am). When I saw this, I had a bad feeling because this was already after a full night after I had already left the hotel. After coordinating with my travel agent for the refund process, I was told that there is no manager with the name “Gene” at the hotel and they were unable to authorize the refund. Overall, the situation felt very dishonest and I had a very unpleasant experience.

Location was convenient to Yosemite and restaurants and shops.

Two bedroom room available was a fold out couch. Good for kids but not so great for adults.

Clean, up to date,breakfast was good and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Super Lage für einen Besuch des Yosemite National Park – die Parkeinfahrt ist in etwa 30 Minuten erreichbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

The hotel is situated approximately 90 minutes away from Yosemite National Park via a single-lane road. Within the same compound, there are both Hampton and Holiday Inn Express hotels. The hotel’s interior appears to be relatively recent, and the rooms are satisfactory. Despite requesting room service twice in a row, it was not provided. When mentioned during the check-out process, the desk attendant responded with a somewhat indifferent attitude. The breakfast buffet was comparable to other Marriott franchise hotels. There are several dining options in the vicinity, and the area may primarily cater to tourists. As a Marriott lifetime platinum member, I opted to stay here due to the limited availability of alternative accommodations. If you have time to book, highly recommend lodges in the park to avoid daily 3 hours travel to the park.

Of the three adjacent properties (Holiday Inn, Hampton, and Fairfield), this hotel was the most economical option, but that was reflected in both its condition and overall quality. While its location approximately 30 minutes from Yosemite’s south entrance is convenient for an overnight stay, the property shows noticeable signs of wear despite being only four years old. Issues such as dirt and mold in the showers, holes in the walls, loose panels, and damage to blackout windows near the air conditioning unit indicate a need for more than the “light makeover” currently planned. The front desk experience was particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, the associate (a woman with long brown hair) did not follow basic hospitality standards, such as confirming the guest’s name or checking loyalty status before addressing early check-in. Instead, her approach came across as abrupt and dismissive. She also struggled unnecessarily with verifying identification, insisting that the ID and credit card be held side by side—an unusual and inefficient request not commonly encountered in years of travel. Additionally, her inquiry about whether a paper receipt would be needed at checkout felt out of place during check-in and contributed to an overall impression of disorganization. The interaction lacked professionalism and familiarity with the Bonvoy program, and her demeanor was notably curt with passive-aggressive undertones. Overall, the front desk performance detracted significantly from the guest experience. Parking was complimentary and will increase to $10 for the high season.

If you are looking to tour Yosemite, this is a very clean, friendly, and favorably priced option. While the location is an hour from Yosemite Valley, the distance is only 30 miles. So enjoy the scenic roads as you make your way into the park. As for the hotel, whatever we needed, the staff was quick to supply. Communication was great. And even though a chartered busload of tourists arrived while we were checking in, the staff never seemed rattled. They calmly helped everyone in an expeditious way. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was modern and roomy with plenty of counter space. There was no noise to speak of in the hallway, and the overall atmosphere was cheerful. Add breakfast to the other amenities, and this hotel was a winner for us! Many hotels across the land do a wonderful job, and the Fairfield in Oakhurst was second to none.

The hotel’s convenient location just minutes from Yosemite National Park, combined with clean, comfortable rooms and the reliable amenities you expect from a Marriott property — including free breakfast, friendly front desk service, and a peaceful atmosphere — made it the perfect base after long days of exploring. What truly elevated our stay was the exceptional service from Gene, the General Manager. When a small personal issue arose during our trip, Gene personally stepped in, helped resolve it quickly, and went well above and beyond to ensure everything worked out for us perfectly. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful moment into one of the highlights of our visit. It clearly reflects the thoughtful, guest-focused culture he leads across the entire team. If you’re planning a trip to the Yosemite area and want a comfortable, hassle-free stay with staff who truly care, I highly recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites Oakhurst Yosemite. Soundproofing could be slightly better, or we just had very loud noisy neighbours in the room next to us.

During the stay, I switched rooms because there was an unpleasant odor in the first one. The new room was not clean. The staff had not removed used toiletries left by the previous guest. There were hairs in both the sink and the shower. The duvet was yellow. I do not recommend this hotel. These were the dirtiest rooms of any Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in. The only upside was the friendly staff at the front desk.

When you fly weekly, and live in & out of hotels you start picking your places with your own needs at the top of the priority list. There are, a baker's dozen hotels in the township of Oakhurst & I've repeatedly returned to this one. The People behind the desk, or at the breakfast rooms and on the grounds make it a special spot. I'm spoilt and can stay almost, anywhere I please with my budgets. The staff make the cake! Good people from check-in to check-out. Need local advice on eateries, and you'll get the inside skinny on the best watering holes, best eats and who's got something special on the menu tonight! I love the human touch of the 'locals' who look after the place.

We really enjoyed staying there. If we are again there in Yosemite we would surely book a room here.

The breakfast was a madhouse. Always waiting for coffee since the one carafe was always empty or almost empty. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel! Took the family to Yosemite and this place was the perfect place to stay. Breakfast attendant was helpful and front desk was friendly! I left an item behind and I received an email to have it shipped back. They made traveling hassle free.

The rooms were plenty big enough for a family of 4. Clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful. We weren’t expecting breakfast to be included but it was a nice surprise when we arrived.

The Rooms are Dark, they need more Lighting. When you need hot water in the Bathroom Sink it takes up to 4 or 5 Minutes. I may have missed it when I was booking this room, but I couldn’t believe them Charging $12.00 for Damn Parking. This is Crazy in a little Town. This is a very Sneaky to get Additional $$$$. I will watch Closer in the Future as I will Refuse to Stay in Their Hotels!!!

The parking fee is ridiculous. This sours the otherwise excellent experience. There's no parking garage, or even gated entry or security guards. Not that any of that would be necessary. So many nice things are included, charging for parking doesn't make sense.

There were so many issues. When I checked in, I was handed a piece of paper that said they weren't going to clean the room unless I asked. I got to the room and saw that there was mildew in the shower, toilet paper stuck that was stuck to the walls. The vents were dirty. Early in my career, I worked in housekeeping, it was clear, the housekeeping department was in need of someone that could see the filth and recognize things that needed addressing. The shower dripped, the plate around the bar in the shower had slid off. I reported both of these issues, neither was addressed. When I checked in, I wasn't welcomed as an elite When I asked where my room was in relation to the elevator, I was told it was not close. I asked if I could be put i a room that at the end of the hall, I was told that noise wouldn't be an issus. It was just a couple of rooms away and noise was an issue.

I travel a lot to Yosemite for work and staying in oakhurst is the closest spot with options to eat. Arriving about 10 at night i got my room and walked into my room to be greeted by a big roach on the wall, something i didn't expect from this hotel, I mentioned it to them but no reply like so sorry or anything of like thats not good at all! They switched my room which was good but I expected a little more better service than that. Comfortable bed and clean.

We booked two rooms through Priceline. When we arrived they took a copy of our credit card for “incidentals” however they charged us again for the room and I had to take the time to call and speak with Leah, the front desk supervisor, who was very rude and never fully explained as to WHY they were charging us on top of being paid by Priceline. Terrible experience and I will NEVER stay at a Fairfield Inn again. SHAME ON YOU!!!
