A beautiful & impeccable palace ..of a very high standard …one of the smartest breakfasts I’ve ever had with pretty floral cups & saucers & plates ..superb ! Indoor pool & spa also top notch ! Lovely room with a great view of the mountains !!

عجبتني المناظر من البلكونه ، النظافة ، الاهتمام بالتفاصيل ، الفطور جداً لذيذ ومرتبين ونظيفين يعتبر افضل فندق بالقرية كلها وحريصين يعطونك الخريطه اول ماتوصل واهم الاشياء الموجوده بالقرية لزيارتها متعاونين جداً ولطيفين الموظفين ، فندق راقي ويستحق الدفع عليه ، ولو رجعت مره ثانيه لنفس القرية بختار الفندق نفسه بلا شك ، التلفزيون سمارت وتقدر تشبك عليه وتتفرج اي شي تبيه

ولا شي ، بس المساج مايستحق المبلغ هو الشي الوحيد اللي لو رجعت للفندق ماراح اسويه ، غرف المساج عاديه والاخصائيه ماتعرف للمساج

The Kempinski Palace Engelberg was such a pleasant surprise. Set in a charming, laid-back mountain town, the hotel truly feels like the centerpiece of Engelberg. The staff were consistently knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were happy to help with changes to our reservation and offered great recommendations throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and felt very new. The mountain views were spectacular, the bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains made it easy to get a great night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious and well designed. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which made our room quite warm during an unusually hot spell. That said, we understand this is fairly typical for the region. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options and plenty of choices for different dietary preferences. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was fun to see travelers from all over the world staying at the hotel, giving it an international yet relaxed atmosphere. The location is fantastic. Many restaurants and hiking trails are within easy walking distance, and the beautiful stream that winds through town is just a few minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We came with AAPT Swiss Travel Group and on arrival were immediately welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast was excellent with great service. Anytime we required assistance nothing was too much trouble from all the staff. Lennart at the front desk was exceptional assisting us with his expertise in technology. Room service was exceptional and clean. We would recommend this Hotel to all travelers coming to Switzerland and Engelberg.

We had a wonderful time here, nice room with amazing views and park next door. Breakfast was amazing and had so many options, so delicious. Also the cattani restaurant food was phenomenal. Great service from all our servers! Hopefully we can come back soon!

This incredible property has made our top 10 of best places we’ve ever stayed! From the remarkable service to the phenomenal rooms, incredible views to amazing spa, this is world-class all the way! We can’t wait to come back to this year-round gem that would be just as spectacular in winter that it was in the summer!

Absolutely lovely dinning experience, Dimitri was an outstanding waiter! He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He was always smiling, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His excellent service truly made our dining experience even better.

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Kempinski Engelberg and truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The cleanliness was outstanding—our room and all the hotel facilities were spotless throughout our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. Everything was well organized, and it was clear that great attention is paid to every detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Engelberg. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

It was very very hot and no air conditioners in the hotel rooms.. it was shocking especially because it's a 5 star hotel and the price was pretty high

I booked this property through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts, expecting the 5-star luxury experience that the Kempinski brand historically promises. Instead, my stay was completely ruined by a shocking lack of basic service and a deeply disturbing "don't care" attitude from the management. We arrived during a severe heatwave. The hotel has no air conditioning. While I understand this is part of the historic building's nature, the property's response to managing guest comfort in this extreme heat was non-existent. I called room service to request ice—a basic necessity in a suffocatingly hot room. I waited patiently for an entire hour. The ice never arrived. In the end, I had to physically go down to the bar to retrieve it myself. This is not 5-star service; this is a failure of basic hospitality. What makes this completely unacceptable is the management's reaction. I brought this serious service breakdown directly to the Duty Manager's attention. Instead of showing empathy, taking accountability, or offering a professional resolution, the Duty Manager displayed a shocking level of indifference. They literally did not care at all about the discomfort and failure we experienced. As an AMEX VIP guest, I am appalled by the poor service quality and the arrogant staff attitude. This establishment is clearly unable to meet the standards of a luxury resort. I have already escalated a formal complaint to American Express HQ and Kempinski Corporate Group. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Excellent stay overall. The service was outstanding, and the reception staff were always welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The hotel is clean, elegant, and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. The views are absolutely stunning and added to the wonderful experience. Highly recommended, and I would be happy to stay here again.

The hotel is amazing very good location all the staff were so friendly and helpful except the breakfast had very leas options I would like to arvice the management to add more options in the breakfast for example indian food options and arabic food as I realised alot of indians and arabs they were there Rest everything was perfect

I had an absolutely wonderful three night stay in May 2026 as a solo female traveler. The level of hospitality was seriously incredible. I did one spa day, one day going up Titlis, and one day in town. Spa was wonderful, especially the pool. I appreciated that the hotel staff encouraged me to go up the mountain even though I am afraid of heights – – it was great and I would come back in different seasons to try the different activities. I especially enjoyed trying different local cheeses at the cheese store and at the breakfast. Speaking of food, the restaurant was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. I am already trying to figure out when to come back next year.

Loved the view of the alps from my room.the very pleasant staff and the breakfast was amazing.very friendly and prompt staff.beautiful property very stunning and just a few steps from the station.we had a very memorable stay at kempinski..already thinking of visiting again.

Location of hotel and spacious room. Reception and valet staff gave us a warm welcome and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much effort for them. Superb service.

Room was too hot. Aircon didn't get cool enough for a warm week. Breakfast staff were unable to get our orders correct each morning. Please allow them to write the orders down and train the kitchen staff to get the orders right.

Everything was amazing! The room, views from the balcony, attention to details, service, children club, Spa etc. the staff is amazing and attentive. The room is very clean. Very child friendly hotel. The best place I stayed in Switzerland by fare. Differently coming back again!

Selten ein Hotel mit einem so zuvorkommenden, sympathischen, freundlichen Personal angetroffen. Die Ausstattung des Hotels übertrifft jeder Erwartung an ein 5 Sterne-Hotel: mit vielen liebevollen Details spürt man, dass der Gast sich zu jederzeit wohl fühlen soll. Das Innendesign ist harmonisch, durchdacht und sehr gelungen. Die Küche ist fantastisch und die Weinkarte bestätigt den Gesamteindruck des Hotels - sehr gelungen!

excellent location with amazing view

Gorgeously located hotel that is the best in the area. Professional and courteous staff throughout from reception to housekeeping. Great food and wine choice and spectacular dining venues. My only complaints were the uncomfortable mattress and the sketchy light switches which are quite frustrating to use. Also air-conditioning was not working, probably turned off centrally and hence my nights were restless. Would highly recommend but these inconveniences need fixing if I am to go back

Location and quality..

No AC..but weather was acceptable without AC..

The property was in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the station and overlooking the surrounding mountains. The building has been renovated to an excellent standard. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy our stay.

The food prices were a little ridiculous. I know it’s a 5 star hotel but it’s almost like they don’t want you to eat there - I’ve been to many other 5 star hotels and this one has to be up there in terms of food and drink costs.
