Reviewed Aug 3, 2026I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Casa Michaus. Every detail was beautiful. The grounds are so well-cared for by the lovely team. It is an oasis in Valle with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and thoughtful. Felipe has a gift for hospitality and curation of experience. Casa Michaus was the highlight of an amazing trip to Valle. We can’t wait to be back.

Reviewed Mar 27, 2026I loved everything about this hotel. The accomodations are spectacular. I absolutely loved the simplicity of the decor. the room was spacious and very comfortable. Each morning, a breakfast was served by the pool. Felipe, the host, takes great pride in his hotel and it shows. He is very knowledgeable of the area, and shared all his favorite spots with us.In addition, he is SO friendly. Everything about Casa Michaus is perfect. I recommend it highly and without reservations. I cannot wait to return.

Reviewed Nov 10, 2025Beautifully designed and with everything you need to relax and enjoy the valle, Casa Michaus is a truly special place to stay. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and used fruit from the trees on the property. The pool is clean and refreshing with plenty of space to hang out and enjoy the view. Plus the host and his team are attentive and considerate. An absolute joy of a place to visit.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2025The property is beautiful. Felipe, the host, was amazing and very attentive. The staff is very friendly and your room is cleaned daily. One bonus is their breakfast (granola, fruit, and yogurt bowl along with one of the most delicious warm pastry). Will highly recommend this place. It is centrally located so nothing in Valle De Guadalupe is too far. If possible, come in a truck or SUV as the dirt roads are a bit bumpy.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025The property was exceptional! The pool nice and cool. Perfect for a dip after a day out in the sun. The owner Felipe was very welcoming and accommodating. The staff, Lucero & Carla, went above and beyond with keeping the room clean and providing any necessary essentials. The property has two friendly black labradors as well. Everyone was really kind and friendly. Felipe had great tips on destinations for lunch, dinner, or any fun nightlife spots. I will definitely be coming back here again. My time was very relaxing and tranquil. I highly recommend Casa Michaus.

We went in winter so we didn’t use the pool much but it was nice to lounge in the sun next to it and read and relax. Great location as it was close to lots of great vineyards. The owner was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

Reviewed May 29, 2024Beautifull minimalistic architecture of buildings, pool, sitting areas, and fire place. The owner has designed the place himself. One of the very few places where the real thing is nicer than the pictures on the website. Very clean and very friendly staff. Poolside seating with a view of the pool, the valley and mountains. Good breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, mint tea, and fig bread. Toiletries. Two cute and friendly dogs. Feels like a safe place with free inside parking.
Pay for coffee pads if you use more than three per room per day. When we arrived the gate was closed and it was not clear how to enter. Turned out you need a remote control which you get when you have checked in.

We occupied the four rooms/casitas so we had the whole place to ourselves! They even have a couple of friendly dogs who would love treats (so bring some for your arrival!)

Reviewed Nov 23, 2023We had an amazing stay at Casa Michaus. Felipe was awesome and greeted us upon arrival and was responsive whenever we had any questions. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. For breakfast they brought to our room warm fig bread and yogurt parfait, the bread was amazing and such a nice touch! The property is completely gated so we felt very safe, also two dogs on property that were friendly as well! The Location was really good and close to a lot of food spots and winery. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Tiene fogatero y terraza con techo y mesa donde nos servian diario cafe y pan recien hecho ademas de fruta y algunas otras cosas. Felipe el dueno todo el tiempo estuvo al pendiente de nosotros y nos atendieron espectacular. Sin duda regresaria siempre ahi y lo recomiendo ampliamente!!

Reviewed May 23, 2023Owner and staff were perfect, you get a remote to open gate from street and park inside compound, two big dogs will insure your car is safe and secure! Small pool and sitting area outside are nice. If you like modern architecture, you will be happy. Dirt roads also mean you will need a carwash when you get home, but its worth it. Did I mention the outside shower option? 2 showers in your room, try the outside one! Fresh bread and juice brought to you in the morning was a nice touch. Nice bedding too in rooms. I don't often do a review but this one is as close to a 10 as you can get in the Valle.

Reviewed Feb 7, 2023This property has been so beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Philippe was so hospitable and warm, he made us feel like we were at home. We had an outdoor fire one night and in the mornings I sat on the private deck and meditated. The outdoor shower was incredible and the grounds were impeccable. I can’t wait to visit again once the pool is finished in a few months. I can’t say enough good things about Casa Michaus.

There was a party with loud music until 1am at a property near the hotel. I don't think it happens often but it was too loud. Also, the bonfire outside made our room smell smokey.
