We met Mr and Mrs English and chatted with them in the top level bar. What a lovely couple they are.

Drinks were not cheap.

The Reception staff (the only staff I met as this was a simple "over-nighter) were all fantastic, they were friendly, efficient, and very helpful when needed. The rooms were beautifully clean and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, I had a brilliant night's sleep.

You cannot connect your phone to the tv as a lot of the options for the tv are turned off they give you too options to watch things either Bluetooth or screen mirroring and screen mirror does not work meaning you can only watch Channels that are programmed or listen to music with no video

Excellent cleanliness. Staff were great. Room was a good size and the beds were really comfortable. Sky Restaurant was comfortable and breakfast buffet was excellent. Loved the security of using card to enter the floor level that we were assigned instead of just for the elevator. Bathroom was a good size. Very quiet even when there was a huge event happening a few floors below one night.

Entry lobby is vast and sterile. Does not give a traveller a 'warm welcome' feeling. Only a few chairs to relax in the lobby which doesn't allow you to see if your ride has arrived, due to placement of window frosting obscuring view to road. Room had hardly anywhere to put clothes. 2 of us for 6 nights. Five hangers, two tiny night tables, a shelf above the coffee area and one high in the wardrobe. One table with no drawers! (No dresser with drawers that is usually found under the TV!) Had to ask for two luggage racks just to put bags on. Bathroom also had no shelving. Had to squish personal items next to sink which was unusually low. What finally did it for me after asking them not to worry about cleaning one day, was receiving a note stuck in the door jamb noting, in part, quote "We also ask that your belongings are kept out of the way to ensure the housekeepers can service your room to a high standard in a timely manner". Never in all my years of travel has a hotel asked me to 'pick up' before their housekeepers enter! Especially as they didn't provide proper storage. (FYI, everyone gets this note if you request no room service). We happen to be very organised and I felt offended. Again, not exactly a 'warm welcome'. Sorry. We travel a lot and this is my honest opinion. Hope it provides some clarity.

Long chaotic queues. The photo room I booked wasn’t as it’s in real as it showed a coffee making machine pods which I double checked and said to be provided and had a note for that. But nothing was there as mentioned though a woman called me once I booked and paid who confirmed the case. Also on my arrival I double checked but nothing was there which is a total disappointment. Also there was a loud party since checking in till night which a nuisance and I requested a high floor room in a quite side. The music was drumming inside my head which is really unhealthy.

Very clean room and hotel. Great breakfast. Very close to the theatre which was great and the shopping centre was a short walk away.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I couldn’t check in early, I didn’t want to go to my room I just wanted to check in and pay before I went out for the day. There was a function on when we got back, on the 1st floor, we were on 4th, and that’s all we could hear in our room,no mention of this when the hotel called me to double check what room I wanted, or when we asked to leave our bags for the day. I was only told about it because I asked when checking in where all the loud music was coming from.

Location was ideal for what we needed. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Breakfast was terrible for the price. Food was lukewarm and had been sitting out for hours. Some staff were rude and made inappropriate comments regarding my wife's attire. Most staff seemed rushed and frustrated, and willingness to help was lacking.

The staff left the used plates on our table for over an hour .. I was with a disabled person so had to remove it myself .

A bit stingy with the tea and coffee items. One biscuit. And the request for a room extension was only granted if we called at 7:30am to check availability, which negated the reason for the extension in the first place. Plus, they charge you £10 an hour for an extension.

Really enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel, we came for a theatre visit and a bit of retail therapy. Rooms very clean and comfortable, very quiet.. everything was spot on,also a delicious breakfast to end our stay. Will definitely be returning

Having an ice machine on the floor we were staying in. Not seen that before. Bed was really comfortable and having two different pillows each of differing softness was great as we both like different ones.

Only criticism was the DE coffee machines they use at breakfast produce the worst coffee I have ever had in a hotel. They clearly use instant coffee concentrate not bean to cup. We are now a nation of coffee drinkers and bean to cup is standard in decent hotels

We wanted a hotel very near the national bowl & went through booking.com for our research which we got told it was twenty minutes walk which is why we booked this hotel but it actually took us one hour & twenty minutes each way,not happy

my experience at Hotel La Tour was deeply disappointing. The bathroom had visible blood stains before my stay even began — an unacceptable lapse in cleanliness and hygiene. As someone with a celiac food allergy, I found the staff’s handling of dietary needs inadequate and dismissive. A particularly unpleasant encounter with a staff member on the 14th floor left me feeling unwelcome. Room service was extremely poor — the promised bucket and champagne glasses were never delivered, despite repeated requests.

Cleanliness standards were shockingly low, staff professionalism was lacking, and service quality fell far short of expectations for a hotel of this calibre. Communication and attention to detail were poor throughout my stay.

The breakfast, would not have it again, it was a free for all, you didn’t get shown to a table and there were too many people, it was chaos and the food was mediocre. The bread was normal sliced bread, you would expect nice fresh bread.

The walls are so thin that you can hear the people staying in the next room. Me and my partner were kept awake until 3AM from the people in the next room. The shower also took ages to warm up. The staff was fine but didn’t really give off a friendly approachable vibe. It’s a clean hotel definitely looks like an expensive fancy hotel that you get abroad but for the price we paid and the experience

We checked in expecting a hotel room. What we got was front-row seats (or rather, front-row eardrums) to an unannounced neighbourhood rave. No warning at booking, no mention at check-in — just a wall of bass the moment we opened the door. Naturally, we asked duty manager Jake for help. Jake, it turns out, is not a man moved by suffering. No alternative room, no gesture of goodwill, no apparent awareness that “hospitality” is meant to involve some. He delivered his indifference with real consistency, I’ll give him that. A responsible hotel keeps half an eye on what’s happening in its own neighbourhood and warns guests before they book, not after they’ve unpacked. This one apparently doesn’t, or didn’t think it worth mentioning. We paid for a room. We received a room with a complimentary festival attached, non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-stop. Scored one, because zero isn’t an option and negative numbers aren’t either — though both would be more accurate. Save yourself the earplugs and book elsewhere.

Great modern hotel with beautiful decor, well looked after, and friendly staff.

The AC was actually terrible. We had it on the highest setting and on cool setting for cold air with the fan set to high and it was really really low and didn't properly cool the room down. It wasn't the best sleep because of this.

Rooms appear to have little to no sound proofing, kept awake until 4am as next room were watching TV and talking until early hours. Also hotel should make customers aware at point of booking if there is a noisy event on in the park opposite.

The room wasn’t as clean as it used to be and the little bits in the room needed upgrading. Takes too long to get served in the bar We love the hotel just needs a few tweaks

Its location was fantastic. The sky bar service was fabulous. The pizza was unreal in the sky bar.

The room did not have a fridge so in summer that wasn’t great to keep the water cold. They did have an ice maker on every floor.

View from our window on the third floor was looking over car park so felt we needed to keep curtains closed. I was looking forward to breakfast as nearly all reviews say how good it is and though the breakfast and variety was great it seemed very unorganised. No side plates, no cutlery, has to ask to have table cleaned, twice!! I would recommend and stay again but next time maybe go down early for breakfast.

The receptionists were all unfriendly and lack customer service skills.. they were not helpful at all. Also, the hotel doesn’t have a bell man or any boy to help with your luggage.. we had to carry our own luggage! We recommend providing this service for future

It had great links to the centre and close to a lot of attractions. The rooms were relatively clean

Poor costumer service, my ceiling was leaking and after calling front desk I waited for 2 hours until I went downstairs to question the situation again and was told they forgot about it. Really disappointed. I was then moved into a different room with a clogged toilet and when I woke up I opened the curtain and it fell on me and when I reported it they said it’ll take a moment for the to sort it which they didn’t the cleaning staff did after cleaning my room. The receptionist were unprofessional and rude rushing me off. Very unimpressed for a 4 star hotel.
