Dear Hotel.com, I’m writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent hotel stay booked through your platform. Upon arrival, we discovered that a major construction project was taking place directly next to the hotel. The noise and dust levels were so severe that we were unable to use the pool area at all. To make matters worse, the hotel itself was undergoing pool renovations, closing off one of the smaller pools and adding to the disruption. The construction site next door was extremely intimidating, with towering cranes and heavy machinery operating at great heights. It was windy during our stay, and debris from the site actually blew into the hotel premises, striking one of the guests. This was not only unsettling—it was dangerous. I booked this trip specifically to give my mum a relaxing break, but instead we were forced to leave the hotel and seek refuge elsewhere. Had I been informed of the construction in advance, I would never have chosen this property. I believe Hotel.com has a responsibility to disclose such significant disruptions when advertising accommodations. I am requesting a formal apology and a refund or compensation for the distress and inconve

Staff is really nice. Had an issue with odor in the room. Moved and upgraded me. Even gave a discount on food and beverage. Area around hotel has a lot of construction. Not always sidewalks open to walk and nothing really close.

The upgraded room was nice. Area just isn’t much to do. Much more in areas in Dubai. I feel you stay in JVC because you have to, not want to. Everything fun is a drive.

You can’t get anything like this anywhere in the world for this price.

Great 5* service and facilities. The half board is great too and you can choose hotels around Dubai to eat at as well

It was ok they charged for everything even bucket of ice no microwave refrigerator in my room wouldn’t get cold! 2208 Rooms was small but nice pool was amazing! Shuttle bus service dropped me off but no pick up after 5pm from RIVA beach club so expect use taxi service often

Amazing

This property was nice. I enjoyed my stay. However, the communication was off between the staff and the guests. I stayed here for 5 nights and no one came to clean our room or give us any towels or tissue, we had to ask as well as for my daughet birthday celebration

Great Hotel with wonderful service.

There was a lot of construction activity, and there was concrete dust, debris, and a lot of noise. The breakfast service was horrible, dirty, and unprofessional. The hotel was packed with what seemed like "shady" activity. The valet service was unprofessional. The workers there were often yelling at each other or at the taxi drivers. The pool area was full of dust and debris from the high-rise buildings being constructed on both sides of the property. I will never stay in the place again.

The pool was to small to accommodate that large of a hotel and being fair skin I don't go out until after 3:00pm and pool closed at 6:00 pm and construction over pool a little scared accident is only a word until it happens! Breakfast was great but can't get into pool after to crowded!

This hotel was nice, very quiet

The private beach is no where near the hotel. Need a taxi to reach there . The staff were excellent and good service . The room was good size but the room smelled bad as if it was not cleaned up properly after the previous occupants.

Great service, very clean

Overall my stay was excellent. We had a couple of issues with the AC on the first day, but that was quickly addressed by the hotel’s staff. Hotel facilities were very good. Staff were very helpful as well.

Rooms were clean with view.

The property was very clean. I really liked the cafe at the hotel as well. I got coffee from there everyday! The lobby was a bit small but it was very well maintained. Staff were all very friendly as well. Housekeeping also does a very good job!

Our room was clean and they keep it clean everyday. The shuttle service to the mall was nice. Breakfast was okay.

Great hotel with clean stylish rooms, tasty breakfasts with a good variety, attentive and helpful staff. The spanish restaurant on the upper floor and the bakery downstairs offers quiet a good food, nice cocktails. I wish the gym would be bigger though. The construction sites on both sides of the hotel at the same time were noisy and didn't help, but we do understand that the area is being developed, hence lots of constructions nearby.

Disappointing housekeeping service - Our bed was made and the bin was emptied. No refreshment of tea/coffee, or water. Toiletries were not refilled. We were only there 2 nights, but it's still nice to come back to a properly made-up room. Breakfast was a good selection but some warmers were not on, so the eggs and tomatoes were cold. Decent coffee and a selection of milks. Friendly service at check-in and breakfast. Currently there is building work being carried out to either side of the hotel, making breakfast outside and the pool area quite noisy. The pool area has 'club' music and a big screen TV playing sports. Not really our preferred vibe, but it might be yours! Good location. We had views right across Dubai, including the Marina and the Burj Khalifa.

Excellent Hotel, provided my family with a room whilst they were getting our 2 suites ready. As we had arrived on an early flight. Had my room changed due to a water leak, and was provided with an other room within minutes. We were also provided with a complimentary meal for everyone in my party. Suites were always cleaned and towels changed daily. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Then in the lobby they had a great cafe Risen, their coffee was superb. The gift shop staff Faheed and Saheed were great too, really helpful and friendly. The only downside was the amount of construction around the hotel. But wherever you look in Dubai there is construction everywhere. So not gave it much of a thought really. Overall great experience!

Had no problems at all and the stay was good, staff were helpful, place was clean, honestly have nothing to complain about. They did an amazing job bringing my friend a birthday cake on her birthday. And we’re really supportive of all requests. Great job. Breakfast is so elite, literally tons of choices of food to choose from each morning. Five stars from me.

Overcrowded. No space to eat breakfast in the morning. No space to sit around the pool. Basically on a construction site. Soluna beach access advertised as the main pictures for the hotel, but it’s a fee to go and actually experience it… wouldn’t go back to this hotel if you paid me.

Have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the last 3 years. Always a comfortable stay!

The hotel and staff were great, location was a little far from most tourist areas. I would visit First Collection in Dubai again, albeit I may choose the one at the Marina instead.

The hotel is very nice, breakfast was very good and the staff is excellent! Loved the pool with its wide screen with sports all day! Santeria, the restaurant on the 29th & 30th floor is great! I recommend it.

Lovely hotel, clean, with plenty of sunshine. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was fresh, with a lot of selections to choose from.

Food service staff was great. Food surprisingly well. Breakfast buffet had same stuff daily though and no variety. Got old quick. Had to call down, sometimes multiple times a day to have room cleaned. Really hadn’t seen such a lazy housekeeping staff.

The FC JVC hotel is great and staff are brilliant but the JVC area is a 24/7 dusty building site and is a 50 minute drive from the beaches. You expect building work in Dubai but herethe cranes swing over the pool area. Traffic and noise levels are a problem. When JVC is built, and the roads and metro extended, this hotel will be wonderful.

Fairly new and clean property with friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. Limited dinner options around the area and not very walkable but easy to get around by cab or uber. Also lots of construction in surrounding area. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Overall good but the breakfast was really low level. Not good choice not good quality

We liked the Burj khalifa view from our window, we liked breakfast buffet options. Room was comfortable. Didn’t like the old and smoke smell in the hallways, maybe they should consider removing carpets. And didn’t like that someone was always coming in the room without us knowing that they gonna come.

Excellent hotel 10/10 for what you need. Only thing thats lacking is a decent gym, as its very small and minimal equipment…however theres a great gym 5 mins away called Prime Fitness if you want to train properly

The check-in was an issue with staff not experience enough to know when to class a ‘no-show’ My wife reached the hotel earlier than us - but there was no way of reaching the hotel to update them (tried Expedia messages, emails and WhatsApp off of their website) no response at all - which made check-in a long 1hour process. There was also a damp smell on the sheets and the room - but it was clean The hotel was busy - too busy with small space to accommodate large number of customers Staff looked stressed out with serving guests Breakfast overspill to the restaurant but menu was much smaller Overall ok - but wouldn’t stay again

The hotel was very nice the only thing I would complain about is the building work be done around hotel wasn’t the best, but that didn’t spoil my holiday. The hotel was fantastic and I deafly stay there again.

Although there is construction going on around the area, the hotel itself is very nice, the staff is very helpful. The pool area is comfortable with a bar and music. Loved it!
