The staff was friendly when we booked in.

While the pool area was intended to be a place where a person could relax, our experience was affected by what appeared to be a children's birthday party taking place at the pool. The children were screaming and shouting continuously, and neither the parents nor hotel staff intervened to ask them to lower the noise levels. I understand that the pool is a shared space and everyone should be able to enjoy it. However, when a children's party is being hosted in an area that other guests are using for relaxation, I would expect some level of supervision and consideration for all guests. The second issue was that when the rugby started at 11:00, both the bar and coffee area were closed. For an event such as this, and at a hotel of this standard, I would have expected food and beverage facilities to be available for guests wanting to watch the game and enjoy refreshments. Perhaps a kitchen who could have provided toasties or something small to nibble on.

Location & super comfortable beds

The staff was loud, inattentive & slow. No microwave facilities. Housekeeping was poor. We had to pay extra for slippers & a shower cap. Breakfast was below average.

I had to pay for a basic dental kit (toothbrush and toothpaste) never in my life I had to pay for something like that !! Not only that ! Room service refused to deliver it to my room and they said I had to come down to the reception to pick it myself !!!

The location and their rooms are top notch! We also loved the variety of their breakfast buffet!

The staff on the reception are very good people and friendly. All of them! Except the ones doing the house keeping and serving you at the restaurant (what a rude people) they seem to not like when you ask for anything. There are some work to do with the waiters on the restaurant and the room service.

Staff was not helpful at check in, had to ask where at her elevators, I was with my son and bags, there is a packing fee. No usb nor c-type charging plugs

The experience did not match the price, should have gone to my usual places in Cape Town

Food for breakfast was good. Seating arrangements in the cafeteria is very convenient. The location is perfect.

There should be toothpaste and brush available in the room. Some fruits and biscuits as complimentary would be helpful.

The hotel was Morden furnished and clean.

There was construction happening next door.The kettle cord was too short.The bathroom got overflowing with water but I got helped once I called reception. The room was too small and I thought I had breakfast with my booking rate.

The receptionist did not explain anything about the hotel amenities except breakfast times. The breakfast options, im vegan so the options in terms of food where not a lot. I did not know where the gym was, possibly because it was not written anywhere.

I loved the towels and toiletries, lovely shower with good water pressure and hot water. The room was clean and very bougee! It was a real treat to see that there were nespresso pods and an option for instant coffee. Huge comfortable bed and the bathroom was really gorgeous.

The aircon is very noisy and it meant the night's rest was not that great. Also, there was a false fire alarm, and it was very scary as nobody seemed to know what was going on. I called reception and they confirmed it was a false alarm. Still very hectic. The reception staff were friendly and nice. The staff at the breakfast were really quite rude and dismissive. The breakfast was also really not great. Everything was halaal, no bacon, only macon, there were very limited fruit, no croissants, no gouda or cheddar cheese, no cups for coffee, I had to go to the coffee counter and the lady was so rude, stood with her back to me and didn't even address me politely. The 2 people manning the eggs were also really rude and I honestly must say that of all the hotels I've stayed at, unfortunately your establishment gets the least stars from me and my husband. We were extremely disappointed in the service and the quality of the food including the fact that there was not that much of a choice.

Convenient location, not much traffic in the evening and early morning and easy to get Uber transport. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean.

The hotel only has 2 lifts and it can get very busy during rush hours.

The staff at this hotel was exemplary. From our arrival through our departure there was always someone to greet us all and assist us, we were a family of 9 adults. They were always so.feiendly, helpful and kind, always with big smiles. We felt so welcome, at the hotel itself and in the restaurant. Our family really enjoyed our stay!!!

A very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

First of all, the hotel is located in an unsafe area with many homeless people around. Walking outside is not recommended, as theft and robbery appear to be common in the area. When leaving the hotel, the staff themselves warn guests about the safety risks and make it clear that the hotel is not responsible for anything that may happen outside the property. Secondly, the surrounding area is not lively and there is very little to do within walking distance. Thirdly, the hotel service, especially housekeeping, was disappointing. The rooms were not cleaned properly, bathroom towels were not regularly replaced, and complimentary coffee, tea, and water were not replenished daily. Another major concern was the atmosphere at the hotel during the weekend. There appeared to be sex workers and people soliciting for them around the hotel, which created a very uncomfortable and inappropriate environment, especially for guests staying with children or family. Overall, the hotel may look modern and attractive from the outside because it is a relatively new building, but the experience inside the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood did not meet our expectations. This hotel may suit some travelers, but based on my personal experience, I would not recommend it, especially for families, and I would not stay here again.

The hotel is clean and relatively modern. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable, and I had the opportunity to have lunch at the restaurant downstairs, which was also quite nice. I also heard that breakfast is good but I unfortunately did not have an opportunity to taste. I had a beautiful full-length mirror in my room, which I liked.

I did not like the way the lobby is designed. It is a bit stressful in my opinion because at any time, when you enter the hotel you see a lot of people . Actually, there are a lot of people downstairs (even at the restaurant and the bar) most of the time, outside of hotel residents. Although I can understand that access is not restricted to hotel residents, it can make it a bit overwhelming. If the space downstairs was more spacious, that part might have worked. I had a standard room and I also found it relatively small.

The Rockefeller Hotel was a great choice for our stay in Cape Town. The hotel is very centrally located, which made getting around convenient. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. As we arrived very early in the morning and our room was not available until 14:00, the hotel kindly stored our luggage until check-in, which was very helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily stay here again.

No Bacon, only "Macon" which was chewy and absolutely horrible to eat. The parking area uses "license plate recognition" which is an absolute fail and a huge frustration because it simply doesnt work and we had to sit for almost 15 minutes to get out of the parking area and were almost late for a meeting. Upon entering and exiting later, same issue. Person at reception didnt look interested at all. Shampoo and soap holder in our bathroom was broken and shower door didnt seal properly, letting out water all over the place

I loved the facilities, the interior and the breakfast.

The location is great, the problem is the parking. I had to walk across in the early hours of the morning and I felt unsafe. I would kindly suggest a security guard by the entrance.

The restaurant is very cold and freezing

The breakfast was great. I love the variety of options. The staff were really friendly, respectful and very welcoming. I appreciated that they kept our bags at the storeroom safely till we got back, at no extra cost!

In my room the iron was not functionaI, I eventually got another iron but it took so long before they sent it, I had to borrow from my colleague in her room because I was really running late for the event I was attending.

I like the aesthetic.

The staff were constantly screaming in the restaurant and disturbing the peace. The service was poor. The fire alarm went off mistakenly and people thought there was in deed a fire at 12pm. The housekeeping woke us up at 8am to clean.

Rooms were very clean and well equipped

Was unable to book breakfast for the correct number of guests via the app at the advertised price of £2 each. Ended up costing me nearly £80 instead for 7 guests, this along with the parking charge that was advertised. If these were advertised I’d have just booked in the waterfront, would have worked out cheaper to pay more initially. Also only one serviceable elevator for 18 floors was problematic.

So I ordered room service at half past 10 but nothing ever came through.

Room was spotless and appeared as on the photos. Check in process was seamless.

No microwave in the room. Room just too tiny, felt claustrophobic and congested. Communication from the host not at all good. Tried to arrange for earlier check it but got response just before the normal check in time.

This is a GREAT hotel. Location is great (although you may need to Uber to your places, but that's kind of the same in every place in Cape Town). The staff cannot be nicer, the best. The hotel is beautiful and the view is stunning. They clean the room very frequently and are very responsive to all the requests. We simply loved this place and would come back every time we are in Cape Town. If you are thinking about it, just do it.

The breakfast is, to my opinion, not as fresh as I'd like. But it is optional anyways.

The bathroom soap holder was dusty and not cleaned from day 1 . i did not report it on arrival as i wanted to see if cleaning would have been done on day 2 , it was not cleaned at all , i have a picture to prove this. the parking is in the opposite building , across the street , no mention of this on the website , with 2 females travelling alone , we compromised our movements at night and compromised our holiday as dinner times were brought earlier , due to this lack of mention of the parking being in the opposite building , not safe as the people that live on the streets hung around , we felt unsafe!! i requested a vegan breakfast when booking , the hotel did not adhere on Saturday morning as the manager said they did not receive my special request , Chef made up something on Sunday and Monday but generally food was mediocre. During the breakfast run on day 2 , the hotel did not have of 5 Roses tea bags at 9h00am for my friend. there was no basics like plant based milk or yogurts to cater for vegans. Only certain beverages are included and free in the breakfast .Most of the hot beverages are to be paid for and not included with breakfast. i had to have my coffee without milk and could not have any cereals /porridge, as there was no plant based milk through out my stay although my vegan request with discussed with the manager on saturday morning. Not happy at all !

I love everything about this hotel and staff. Its in a location that fits into so many connections of fun and attractions. The staffs from the Manager on shift wen I arrived on the evening of the 3rd Jul were so amazing and supportive and they work with me to arrange my surprise for my partner. Especially i have to thank Miss Rene one of the staff she was so friendly and amazing... she went out of her way to do our recording for my surprise and even encouraged my partner and played and joke with her.... God bless you Miss Rene And God bless the whole.staff everyone has very friendly generally.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The service we received was exceptional, and the food was 10/10. We felt very comfortable and truly at home throughout our stay.

The only downside was that there weren’t enough kitchen facilities.

Tal vez la vista de mi habitación pero esto lo logré por que tuve que pagar más dinero para que me cambiaran de habitación.

La habitación que me habían asignado inicialmente estaba en una pésima ubicación, 3er piso, parte trasera del hotel, abajo de una "jardinera" que tenía ductos de aire como vista en la ventana, nada de iluminación, muy fría, muy pequeña. Horrible!! No me gustó tampoco el olor a comida que siempre se percibía en el pasillo de las habitaciones. No hay canaels de TV. Puedes usar alguna plataforma pero usando tu propia cuenta (si tienes).

E hotel está muy descuidado, se observan muebles sucios, fui a la alberca y estaba todo apagado y con copas sucias, el desayuno es muy básico y muy grasoso sin mucha variedad de los alimentos. Encontré una cucaracha encima de mi maleta. La verdad desde que entra uno el hotel luce viejo y descuidado.
