I had a great experience . I really enjoyed my stay and was very happy with the hotel and the service. One of the things I loved most was the shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront. It was extremely convenient and made getting around so much easier, especially for exploring Cape Town. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was a bit repetitive, and there were not many halal options available. It would be great if the hotel could have a dedicated halal section with more variety. Also, the yogurt seemed to have gone off by the last day, possibly because it had been served repeatedly over several days. This could be improved by ensuring that fresh yogurt is provided daily. In the room, some of the drawers were not closing properly and could use some maintenance. Other than these points, everything else was good and I enjoyed my stay.

breakfast amazing -and a special mention goes to Chandre .Her warm, friendly and professional service truly stood out.She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.Excellent service and a real asset to the hotel.

The staff were warm and attentive throughout my stay, and the location was perfect for exploring Cape Town. Breakfast was generous and filling, and I appreciated the convenience of the shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront.

The room felt dated and in need of some refurbishment—not because anything was broken, but because it looked and smelled old. The corridor on the 28th floor had a persistent sewage smell, which was unpleasant. Our bathroom didn’t have a shower curtain, so every shower left the floor soaked. For a hotel of Southern Sun’s standard, I expected better amenities, including basics like bedroom slippers.

The breakfast and room service was divine. The room was amazing. The special birthday treats were a great surprise - thank you! Only thing I can comment on that needs improvement is the bathroom. It needs upgrading.

Breakfast had a lot of variety. However, I would suggest that the chef prepare a suitable Indian breakfast dish and pickles to accompany the paratha.

The TV in the room is in an awkward position. There is only one seat available for viewing and you can't watch TV from the bed. 11 o' clock check-out is too early!

The food was definitely not 4*. My fish & prawns were so overcooked I sent it back. Morning breakfast staff were not helpful, 7 minutes to fetch me butter for my child's toast. Mould in the bathroom on the tiles & ceiling. The drawers dont work properly in the rooms & the rooms are so stuffy due to windows being bolted closed. Our time there was definitely not worth the money, We have stayed in B&B way fancier for way less. We were super disappointed:(

It was convenient because the Conference was at the hotel. Most staff were friendly.

The room was dark, not enough lighting to work at night. The hairdryer was not working. I found my dirty dishes outside my room the following morning. I ordered a breakfast pack the day before that was not prepared for the time that I had requested.

I enjoyed the facilities and the breakfast. It was an exceptional stay, the staff was very friendly.

The TV in the room was effectively unusable because there was no DSTV or an hdmi cable to plug a laptop in, its a small thing but its really the only thing that comes to mind on what was an exceptional stay.

The staff were wonderful. From the security at the entrance, the staff assisting with parking to the cleaners and the waiters. The hotel is well maintained. Clean.

Pillows aren't too good. The real bother were the add ons. We booked a 12pm transfer to the airport. We were at the reception from. 10am and asked and we're told it was fine. At 12.05 I went to Evans at reception who was rude and had to phone to confirm our booking. Half an hour later we w3nt back and he was really offhand . We were panicking as we did want to miss the flight. All this after the hotel staff called the afternoon began to confirm. Evans at reception needs customer training.

Staff and welcome is always great. Location and inclusive breakfast is great too! Complimentary treaty are highly welcome.

This was my second stay in consecutive months and the family room I got was an old unclean room. Bathroom was not fully clean and bathroom sink area. The shower door leaked water to the toilet area. Chair in the room had bad stain. We checked in late around 6:30pm but room still had a strong smell of detergents which made it suspicious. The room had a smell which was masked by the strong detergent. It was disappointing as I had a long journey ahead of me the next day and wanted to relax.. When one books a family room please check number of guests and provide enough towels and cups for the number of guests indicated on the booking.

Rooms facing ocean gets very warm - Aircon needs attention. Guests staying in the rooms facing the mountain complains their rooms are to hot

To explain more about transport. The hotel when they ask transport for travellers is very expensive why? I could not visit the beach no one told me is near.

Ao tomar banho o chuveiro acabava respingando bastante água e molhando o piso. O sinal de internet no quarto era bem fraco.

Atendimento ótimo, com uma equipe extremamente cordial e sempre disposta a ajudar. O café da manhã completo com bastante variedade. Uma ótima opção para quem busca conforto, boa localização e uma experiência agradável em Cape Town. Recomendo!

Food should labelled propoerly for allergen and choice. For example, I dnt eat bacon. The labeling was just pasta salad, but it contained bacon

We couldn't sleep it was very very hot in the room.We had to open the windows in 2 of the 3 rooms we booked.Felt very bad as host we put in a complaint and was advised that someone would attend to it but never happened.Was looking forward to a great weekend with my family with proper rest and tranquility but was more disappointed as the rooms was so claustrophobic.Would like someone to get back to me I spent quite alot of money on the bookings.

Our bathroom was in a very poor condition, needing replacement bath, hand basin, countertop and door. The manager was informed at the time. Maybe other bathrooms are better.

The hotel is located on a busy CBD, and good for business travel. It looks beat like a high end hotel as soon as you enter. Good porter service and alert. The cheese board snack, looked appetising and delicious. Except one day, there was a group of tourists, they devoured everything in 60 seconds, and left nothing for other guests, no fault of the hotel. The breakfast spread had lot of variety with a quick service. I do not understand why their charge R45 for a takeaway coffee for breakfast, that is rather inclusive. This must be a charge for the paper cup???? Loved the pianist that they have in afternoon, it made the experience really wonderful . Spacious rooms and clean. I am not a fan of the shower over the bath, maybe with the upgrade there superior room with separate bath and shower. Overall a great experience

Best value for money. The rooms are very clean and a good size. Amazing breakfast with a large variety to choose from. Amazing staff and great service. I had an issue during my stay, but the on-site manager resolved it immediately and made it even more comfortable. Even introduced me to the Hotel GM who apologized again. Will be staying here EVERY TIME I'm in Cape Town.

The location suited me well due to my work commitment

I contacted the hotel for a airport transfer spoke to Lizel she arranged with apex travel to pick me up. I had to call apex to find driver who was not very well presented and at the hotel I asked the driver Michael to put the charge on my room. The representative of the hotel then in front of me referred to me as the third person tells Michael I had no room credit. Easy fix when I checked in why did he not ask me to add credit to my room as I paid well in advance for my stay. The hotel was very unfriendly the hospitality I expected did not exist. Sorry Cape Sun but your hotel is unfriendly

The location & the view from the bedroom plus all the staff were so friendly & welcoming, giving faultless service. I should also like to mention the staff of the Mangwanani Spa, especially Emelda for her pre-marathon effective & professional massages. The shuttle bus to the Waterfront & return was very useful. Shame it didn’t operate until 5:00pm on weekdays. Even once in the morning would have been good. Again, the drivers were very friendly.

The gym & “swimming” pool look larger in the photos due to the mirrors there. It’s a shame there isn’t an outside sitting area or roof top relaxing space.

I like everything. From arrival till exiting. Will for sure book there again

There are cell phone plugs at strategic sitting places. The food is excellent. The room is very spacious, smelled fresh and clean. There were no ladies of de night selling in front of the hotel. This was home away from home. Very safe and secure. No noise around the hotel. Staff is friendly and willing to assist.

For us the location was ideal. We stayed 2 separate nights, one on arrival from the UK and the second for a match at DHL Stadium. Both nights comfortable on a high floor overlooking Table Mountain. Breakfast buffet was good with an excellent cross section for choice. Underground parking is very useful.
