The experience of our family stay was excellent throughout with amazing vibes and atmosphere in and around the property. The cleanliness was top notch. The room service and over-the-counter experience was cordial and prompt as well. The best experience of the whole stay was definitely the food and cuisine offered at the restaurant with amazing and cordial staff, particularly Bhawna, Saurabh, Tanuj, Chuni, Mukesh and Bhushan. The coordination, hospitality and the presentation was absolute delight. Would definitely love to come again and experience this lovely place with such lovely people around us. Thank you Elysium :)

Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff including the Valet, Front office and F&B are very courteous and helpful. Sourabh did a great service while we had our breakfast. Shubham helped us with a smooth check-in and a complemenntary room upgrade. An Industrial Trainee, Parul also assisted us so nicely with a few things. There was another girl who escorted us and was very well versed but unfortunately ive forgotten her name.

The rooms are comfortable, nice, ambient and simply amazing. Our stay was relaxing, peaceful and serene. Ms. Richa and Ms. Parul were most hospitable. It is definitely one of the best hotels in Shimla. It overlooks the main city and the view is so picturesque. Food, service, cleanliness and comfort is a 10/10.

Nestled in a gorgeous little corner in Shimla, the hotels stands as a true testament to the beauty of the place. The staff was lovely and took considerable care to ensure a great experience. We had in room dining multiple times and the food was absolutely delicious. We were staying in room 2005 and it was neat and tidy, with good amenities. Breakfast was great, blending a collection of local and national dishes. Particularly, there was great variety and choices were even swapped daily which was excellent. The manager at the restaurant, Narender, was absolutely amazing in taking care of us, ensuring we were always satisfied. He was considerate and efficient and we are very thankful for the service he provided.

The hotel is very well located, nearby but not walking distance to the mall. The staff is very good, rooms are nicely sized with all the amenities. Breakfast spread was nice and fresh.

This property is so well positioned that inspite of being in Shimla it doesn’t feel like you are in a crowded space. The surrounding trees really do a great job of keeping this resort exclusive

The buffet variety should have been better and an indoor pool with temperature control should definitely be up their list. The rooftop section has not started yet but they should have a dedicated all day dining area there because the view is their USP

Our stay at WelcomHeritage Elysium Resort & Spa from 24th April 2026 to 26th April 2026 was unfortunately far from pleasant. We were allotted two rooms, 2002 and 2003. The most serious issue was with room 2003, where the bathroom had an extremely foul and persistent smell. It made using the bathroom very uncomfortable. Despite efforts by one of the staff members, Kamlesh, the issue could not be resolved. It appeared to be a deeper plumbing problem—possibly incorrect piping connections or drainage issues. Instead of fixing the root cause, the hotel provided us with a room freshener, which we had to use every single time before entering the bathroom. This is clearly not an acceptable solution for a property claiming premium standards. Another major drawback is the design and layout of the hotel. The property feels like a closed box with no provision for open seating areas. Not even a single outdoor seating arrangement is available. This is highly disappointing, especially in a destination like Shimla, where guests specifically come to enjoy the pleasant weather and natural surroundings. Being confined indoors defeats the purpose of visiting such a hill station. There were also several shortcomings in basic hospitality standards. The toiletries provided were inadequate—for instance, only one dental kit, one soap, and one pair of slippers were provided for a room occupied by two guests. While we managed because we carried our own essentials, such cost-cutting measures are unacceptable for a hotel that positions itself in the 4/5-star category. The hotel should consider providing proper amenities, including liquid soap dispensers for better hygiene and convenience. The restaurant experience was also uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not turned on, making the environment hot and unpleasant, especially during meal times. This again reflects a strange and guest-unfriendly cost-cutting approach. That said, the only redeeming aspect of our stay was the service provided by certain staff members. Mr. Tanuj and Mr. Kamal were exceptionally courteous and attentive, both in-room service and in the restaurant. Their professionalism and positive attitude stood out. Additionally, the staff member handling car parking and assistance at the entrance was very polite and helpful. While the general behavior of the rest of the staff was acceptable, it could not compensate for the major issues we faced—especially the foul smell in the bathroom, which significantly spoiled our holiday experience. Overall, this property does not live up to the standards expected from a reputed chain like WelcomHeritage. It is surprising that such a prestigious brand is associated with a hotel of this level. We are giving 2 stars, purely because of the excellent service by Mr. Tanuj and Mr. Kamal, along with the courteous parking staff. This was likely our first and last visit to this property.

Quite and good location. Atmosphere is so serene and unforgettable. Staffs are the best and food great and loved the buffets in the mornings. My room is the best I have ever had so far, clean and staffs are attentive when called for any service. I thought it was the best value for money and best treat for me and my husband.

Felt very welcome and warm- Keep up the excellent work. Your General Manager should be extremely proud of each one of the team members.

A wonderful stay that’s honestly hard to fault. The location (and the view) was fantastic, and the staff made all the difference — special thanks to Shubham, Arjun, and the front desk team, along with the restaurant, housekeeping, and support staff, all of whom were warm and helpful throughout. The breakfast spread was great as well and really added to the experience. If I come back, I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. Highly recommend!

Surrounded by trees and with excellent views, this hotel is a little too far to amble to the centre of Shimla. There are just a few houses and shops in the vicinity. Otherwise, great staff, decent food and very good masala chai!

What a fabulous hotel and staff team. Richa and Shubham in reception went above and beyond with their assistance with our tour plans with helpful suggestions and advice. We are indebted to them. The restaurant team worked tirelessly with patience,respect and kindness . We loved the food so much we ate in the hotel every night which is not something we usually do but the food was fabulous and always well presented. Even the morning fried eggs were perfectly cooked. We stayed at Elysian for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. We have no complaints whatsoever about our stay at this fantastic hotel. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home throughout our entire stay. The staff was extremely courteous, warm, and attentive to even the smallest of our needs. The rooms were excellent, offering great views and a very comfortable ambience. The temperature was just right, and the bed, pillows, and comforter were all spotless and of excellent quality. It was clear that every small detail had been thoughtfully taken care of. The food was outstanding. The spread was expansive, and you genuinely never feel hungry for the rest of the day. The staff was attentive and even customized dishes to suit our gastronomical preferences. Our stay at Elysian was truly the highlight of our time in Shimla.
