The Motel is very well located - walkable to everything in Bar Harbor. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. Staff was friendly at check-in and they have a number of free snacks and water available.

We had two rooms. They were both grungy, dated, and cramped, and the AC units made rattling noises continuously.

It was a quaint little motel. Convenient to the restaurant and shops on Main Street. Loved the complimentary water, cold drinks and coffee as well as the snacks and fruit provided to the guests in the main office.

The king-size mattress in the room #103 was too soft, but we managed.

Right in town, walk to anything. The motel lobby is fully stocked with coffee, snacks, and even umbrellas to borrow.

We were there in July with 4 people and our room could get a little humid.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Main Street Motel. Our room was very nice and clean. They provided coffee, water, breakfast items (yogurt, oatmeal etc) and great snacks for free. Super friendly staff and the perfect location to downtown. Would highly recommend.

Location was great, rooms were nice, clean, comfortable and great value! Front desk people were amazing and have a little coffee, drink and snack area available and open 24 hours a day!

This location is convenient for walkable access to the Main Street and Square of Bar Harbor. The room was basic and clean - comfortable beds, refrigerator, tv, etc. The bathroom was small and a little outdated but not really a problem for two people and one night stay. I stayed in a room on the base floor, and at around 12am as I was getting ready to sleep, the visitors directly above us could be heard stomping around for almost an hour. You can also hear the pipes when the water is run, and it is quite loud. My check in and check out were quick and easy. I would recommend staying here if you want quick easy access to the town, are in town for a short stay, and not in need of luxury.

Clean with adequate size bedroom and small but adequate bathroom. Comfortable beds. Excellent on-site parking. Excellent location in walking distance to good restaurants and commercial district and close driving distance to Acadia National Park.

While the room was clean and comfortable, the sheet that was on our bed was due to be thrown away. Very rough with pilling due to multiple washings. Ended up sleeping on the top sheet that was smoother.

Very nice hotel at the end of Bar Harbor. Friendly office staff greeted us and offered advice on restaurants and things to do. Breakfast items, coffee, water and snacks were available for free all day and we very appreciated. Comfortable basic rooms, and quiet location made for a nice stay. Only negative were the lumpy bed pillows.

The rooms and facilities were so clean with excellent amenities, like 24/7 free water, snacks and coffee. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the location was within short walking distance to the heart of Bar Harbor. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, and we loved everything about it.

Location was excellent, close walk to downtown Bar Harbor but enough away from all the traffic & a very quick drive to Acadia National Park. Room was clean and comfortable. The amenities of having coffee, snacks & water available 24-7 was a bonus I hadn’t expected. Staff was exceptional…friendly & helpful. Special thanks to Patricia, Morgan & Janique, glad to see there are still people that care about customer service! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a great place for home base while visiting Acadia.

Location was awesome. The last lodging located on the good street. Great beds and pillows. Blankets were fluffy. Large rooms. Fridge was super cold 💙💙

Slightly overpriced for being non-staffed and without breakfast. Beds stayed damp from humidity & poor airflow. Shower had a constant drip. Stairs could use some maintenance. Housekeeping is pushy even when you have the sign on your door.

Cute motel within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. Clean, quiet, off street parking and friendly staff. Good pizza place across the street is a plus! Highly recommend staying there.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was well stocked with water, coffee, and snacks. Our room was clean, and housekeeping did a great job refreshing our room during our stay. The motel is conveniently located on one end of Main Street, and it’s easy to walk to the town square, restaurants, shops, and harbor. We would stay there again.

Reviews are certainly one of the reasons I chose Main Street Motel for my vacation lodging. The location is perfect, just south of the bustle of Main Street but such a convenient setting. Rooms are clean and perfect for regrouping & resting after long days of adventuring the Mount Desert Island! The staff is so incredibly helpful too, giving us a list of all the restaurants and suggestions. The reception area is well stocked with coffee, water & refill station, yogurt & snacks, and fresh fruit! So pleased and highly recommend for a budget friendly option in Bar Harbor!

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary, and the Main Street Motel welcomed us with the sweetest celebratory surprise and a basket of Maine-themed treats. It was amazing! The hotel itself is very cozy and is in a great location. It may look like a standard motel on the outside, but inside, it feels clean, bright, and updated. We were given a corner room on the top floor, which was awesome because it had two windows and, thus, let in a lot of light. The front desk office has a coffee machine and breakfast items/snacks that are available to guests free of charge 24/7, which is fantastic if you want to head into Acadia National Park early in the morning before restaurants open. The hotel is located toward the end of the main streets, which means it is a little removed from all the chaos but still very walkable to everything (~10 minutes to the majority of the restaurants/bars/shops). With that said, when we checked in, we were given a tag for our car that identified us as guests of the hotel. We assumed this meant we had a reserved parking spot. What we didn't realize is that the hotel's parking lot also appears to allow other people to pay for parking, so I think our tag only granted us free parking, not reserved parking. We came back after a late dinner to find no spots available, and to make matters worse, it was dark and pouring rain. Having to scramble to find parking late at night in the rain when we weren't expecting to was not ideal. We only drove to dinner because it was raining hard and we thought we had a guaranteed parking spot upon our return.

This is a very affordable option when visiting Acadia NP. Basic breakfast options include fruit, coffee, and instant oatmeal. There was always a supply of granola bars, Kind bars, and bottled water in the lobby. Located on Main Street, we were easily able to walk to the many restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff at the motel was always friendly and helpful, and gave good recommendations for local dining.

The total experience was great, but what made the biggest difference was Janique’s personal attention. She gave us great suggestions of where to eat and places to visit that we would have missed otherwise. The only disappointing thing was that the bed is sagging.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The walkability to the entire Bar Harbor area was very convenient. As well the location provided easy access to Acadia National Park. Would highly recommend.

Location is perfect with plenty of free parking. It's within walking distance of so many attractions. The service is exquisite. Janique, with her sense of humor and good mood, helped us so much with any information we asked for, even the tide schedule for crossing the amazing sandbar. I already miss her. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

A local map and other brochures were provided. Coffee, bottled water, and breakfast snacks were available all day. Great recommendations for local dining, shopping, and tourist attractions!

The staff, room and location are amazing. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in in years (including our own). The staff went out of their way to answer our questions about restaurants and activities. They welcomed us with smiles, attention and courtesy. The room was super clean, well-appointed, big enough to be really comfortable and fresh. Highly recommend this facility. We will stay again on our next trip to Bar Harbor!

This adorable motel is perfectly situated on Main Street in Bar Harbor. It was very clean, beds were super comfortable, and 24 hour access to complementary tea, coffee and snacks was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back!

The pillows. They were too thick/high and made my neck hurt a little. One of my daughter's pillows was a little thinner, so I used hers the second night and slept better. There were three pillows on each of the queen beds. It would be great if there could be a little variety in types of loft, so guests can choose what works best for them.

Location could not have been more convenient. Very friendly atmosphere especially at the desk. Room was flawless and clean. Price was a total deal. Noise was not a problem at all. Parking was also very convenient and gave us security during our visit.

Hooks on the bathroom door or somewhere in bathroom to hang towels would be good.

My spouse didn't like the small amount of counter space in bathroom. No where to leave things. I was okay with it but many motels have more counter space so you can leave your personal items there.

The beds were very comfortable. Never ran out of hot water after a day of hiking. The location was close to everything. Was very pleased with our stay.

Had an excellent stay at Main Street Motel, staff was so nice! Great location on the main restaurant/ shopping street in Bar Harbor, also short drive to popular hiking trails in Acadia national park. Check in office offered snacks, coffee/ hot chocolate, also had a water filling station. Couldn’t have been happier with my stay at the Main Street Motel!

The reservation was quick and easy. They accommodated our request for a first floor. The location was fabulous. The treats and coffee were a bonus.

The thermostat was finicky, too hot. The carpet and some floor areas were dirty.

We didn't like the cleaner smell when we entered the room. Very fragrant. It bothered our noses. We opened the window and the smell dissipated but would have liked unscented cleaners to be used when possible.

Great motel in a great location. Clean rooms and nice staff. Easy to access restaurants and Acadia park. Appreciated the hot coffee that was available to us from 8 am - 10 pm. We would stay here again.

My husband and I spent a few days in Bar Harbor and this location was ideal. Super close--walking distance--to everything! The rooms are cute, clean and comfortable. The office staff (Britny) was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

Honestly a quaint perfectly located hotel near everything

We didn't plan to spend a lot of time in our room because we had so much to do and see. Main Street Motel provided basic accommodations at a reasonable price. Our room on the first floor was clean and comfy, and we were able to park right by our room door. Safe location and in easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, parks, ice cream. Friendly staff and 24/7 coffee, water and snacks in the main office. Would stay here again.

Overall, nice hotel. I have no basis to compare to other hotels in Bar Harbor since only stayed here, but I thought the rooms would be a little nicer than they were. Perhaps we got a room that hadn't been renovated yet. Overall, it was fine, but I expected a little nicer property for the cost. The staff in the office were very friendly.

We chose MSM for its close proximity to downtown Bar Harbor. We ere able to walk to everything which made our stay much more relaxing. The motel has been updated and was kept very clean. The staff was friendly and responsive.
