Aussicht aus dem Zimmer auf einee Mauer / Durchgang, man musste den Rollladen runterlassen um nicht ausgestellt zu sein - allerdings kam dorr wuasi niemand vorbei, daher nicht schlimm.

We loved everything about this rental! Finally, a unit that matched the pictures and description as listed! Great location, nicely decorated, well appointed and spotless. Our hosts were considerate and provided great check in and out information.

The self check in and out did not go as smoothly. No keys with Fob attached making it difficult to follow. instructions. Also someone was parked in our assigned spot and I had some difficulty contacting someone to sort out this

It was a unique very fun experience! Very clean well appointed comfortable relaxing with so many nice touches. Very unusual for a hotel at this price point.

Superb attention to detail, high quality, great use of space, very comfortable, everything about it is top notch. A real find. Handy location, designated free parking space, secure, safe. Record player and some vinyl was an unexpected bonus! Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely nothing!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits à 4 (dont deux ados). Le loft est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, la pierre des murs garde la fraîcheur, les lits sont très confortable, la salle de bain très jolie. Un vrai coup de cœur. Nous le recommandons vivement.

Le loft est en demi sous-sol et assez sombre. Les lumières de faible intensité pour garder un style lounge, c’est sympa mais pas toujours pratique surtout pour cuisinier. Un éclairage plus puissant pour la cuisine ou un variateur pourrait être une idée. Il manque clairement une hotte d’aspiration au dessus de la cuisinière, les odeurs vont partout et l’alarme des détecteurs de fumée se déclenche pendant la cuisson d’un steack. Elle s’arrête une fois qu’on a pu ventiler. Pas très agréable car elle sonne super fort. Un balai pour les toilettes ne serait pas de trop. Ces détails n’ont pas enlevé notre plaisir d’la séjourner.

Chambre très spacieuse, bien agencées et équipées. Nous n'y sommes restés qu'une nuit pour une étape, nous aurions pu rester plusieurs jours. L'ambiance est juste extraordinaire

Sehr modern und groß, hochwertige und schöne Einrichtung und Ausstattung, tolle Lage, bequeme Betten, sehr neuwertige Handtücher & Bettwäsche, und grundsätzlich sehr sauber, sehr schnelle Antwort auf Fragen via Booking.com

Der Check-in war etwas kompliziert, da wir den Zugangscode zum Haus nicht hatten (aber uns wurde schnell geholfen). Es war leider etwas hellhörig und das Regal auf denen das Geschirr steht, waren etwas staubig. Aber die positiven Punkte überwiegen definitiv!

The primary concern noted was the excessive temperature of the shower water, which proved challenging to regulate without compromising water pressure.

Beautiful room, quiet, comfortable. Netflix was included which was nice. Everything you need in the kitchen. Wonderful ambience.

Better lighting in the parking lot would be nice at night.

No beer in the fridge to purchase as they had said. Stairs were a little difficult to maneuver at night. No hot water on the first morning of stay but fixed the next day.

Die Einrichtung war sehr hochwertig und der Stil auf die Kirche angepasst. Der online Kontakt hat super funktioniert und bei Problemen mit der Lautstärke wurde versucht schnell eine Lösung zu finden.

Da ich über booking gebucht hatte, wollten sie, dass ich meine Kreditkarten Daten + CVV telefonisch durchgebe, oder digital übermittle. Es gab leider keine sichere Möglichkeit zur Übermittlung, wie einlesen oder über einen sicheren Link. Unsere Nachbarn waren leider echt laut und der Plattenspieler in den Unterkünften wurde entsprechend exzessiv genutzt.

De hele accomodaties is fantastisch. Een verbouwde kerk met zowel kantoorruimte als hotelkamers. Prachtig gedaan. Mooie kamers, goede keuken! En plaatjes draaien op de pickup.

Beautifully designed. Everything provided was such high quality - no effort had been spared. Whoever curated the rooms had done so with a really keen eye, and a strong understanding of what guests both need and want. Genuinely excellent.

It is convenient to be able to text staff if needed. The kitchen was well-appointed. Temperature controls were good.

Due to the height of the window, you won't get bright light, but it was still a great room. I think it is sad to have no Reception with humans - very impersonal.

Das Zimmer war relativ dunkel, aber das wussten wir bereits durch andere Bewertungen. Für unseren Kurztrip war es aber in Ordnung.

It was cool and spacious and the fixtures were like an apartment/Airbnb! The staff were very responsive and helpful. Checking in and check out was easy.

The lighting in the bathroom was poor as well as no light in the shower. I had to bring the portable mirror to the kitchen to do my makeup. Need a lighted mirror. There should be a full length mirror on the back of the closet door downstairs on main level as we left our heavy suitcases downstairs and dressed there. Sound travels easily due to lack of insulation so adherence to the 10 pm noise curfew is a must and would be helpful to be enforced.

This is the 4th time we have stayed here and it is lovely as usual. A little bit of a parking issue was handled quickly. Beautiful & comfortable room and the location is convenient and walkable to shopping and restaurants.

The HVAC system didn't work. The inability to create air flow in the loft created an uncomfortable sleeping experience.

Just an amazing, amazing, amazing, outstanding stay. As a plus 50 techno peasant trying to check in, Alex at the contact us phone number was amazing. He effortlessly adjusted and accommodated and solved any of our questions in regards to checking in and or out. If you are a parent or grandparents or family member of a queen student and you are looking for an upscale amazing place to stay with a ton of space to visit and relax and soak in your time in Kingston, this is absolutely the place?

The door code yo get in the hotel was wrong in the check in information provided. I was stuck outside for half an hour in -25C weather. This is dangerous and someone is going to get hurt that way. Please double check this info is accurate for guests! Hotel was otherwise great!

This is a beautiful hotel with a great location near everything in downtown. The loft was amazing, interior decor was spectacular. Though contactless it was still easy to communicate with staff through their text service. Check in and checkout process was seamless. Wonderful hotel.

The Smith hotel is our favourite in Kingston. Easy to get to restaurants and the main strip but the best are the rooms. Beautiful, super clean with everything you might need. We love the record player and that each room is unique. Can’t wait to try a different room next time.

This is absolutely my new favourite place in Kingston. It’s stunning.

That had to be one of the most unique hotel experiences I've ever had! Nothing can beat this! There little pricey but well worth the money! Definitely going back!

Excellent location and a very chic place to stay!

we had a great stay at the smith hotel with a 2 room loft style with exposed stone walls, polished concrete floor and everything needed as if you lived there. the kitchen had everything you would need and the bed was very comfortable. only issue was the blinds when closed in the upper room would also cut out the light in the living/kitchen area below and not a big issue, the patio was full of leaves (it is fall, we know), but not cleaned for use during the warmer day we had.

This was by far the coolest hotel we have ever stayed at! Weekend away without the kids, and this place was just perfect for our getaway. Heritage building mixed with modern day style and amenities was breathraking. We will be back again soon!

Such an unusual place to stay. The apartment was beautifully done and very well equipped. Just off the main road, so very easy to walk to. Having a parking space too was a big plus.

Loved all the little touches - kitchen with quality, useful equipment and tools, speaker and record player were fun. Beds were very comfortable. Very pleasant experience and the location was very handy. Only thing we would change is increased air circulation - didn't really need it colder but needed more airflow as the air had a tendency to get kinda stale. Info on how to achieve this would be useful in the guest book.

A wonderful overnight stay... very nice linens/toiletries (had to buy myself some that were delivered prior to our departure) the only negative. No corkscrew so i had to go buy one to enjoy a bottle of wine i had brought with me. No biggy. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here... currently at the Marriot Hotel in old Montreal and all i feel is sad it isnt the Smith Hotel. Whoever designed the loft (#7) nailed it

loved the exposed stone. loft concept. modern decor. comfy bed. great shower. robes! full kitchen. walkable location. workspace upstairs as an option for remote work. decent parking. netflix and amazon prime free. great customer service- very quick to reply by text message. got late checkout! and extra coffee.

no amenities- could really use a gym. no natural light. very dark inside our room. no view. keys and codes a bit complicated. pricey for Kingston but very nice. cement floors are slippery. be careful could be dangerous. all the drinks in the fridge were alcoholic. could have used some non alcoholic options. would be nice to have regular TV channels.

The Smith Hotel is a wonderful converted church, very clean, modern and spacious with very cool stone walls and great amenities. Highly recommended.

I had a brief overnight stay at this wonderful hotel, housed in a historic building beautifully converted into modern accommodations. The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. I found the contactless check-in and check-out process to be very easy and convenient. The only minor issue was the room becoming a bit warm due to lack of ventilation when the bedroom door was closed. However, the hotel’s excellent location, with shopping and restaurants just a short walk away, more than made up for this. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops and entertainment.

I'm not tech savvy, so was initially concerned with request for digital check in. However, the humans there came to my rescue, and all was well. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We rested well.

Property is immaculate. Everything was like new. I was not sure about the unattended sign in, but the instructions were clear and I had no problem in obtaining my key fob from the automated lock box.

Very interesting architectural project

This property was extremely nice - exactly as depicted. Also the uniqueness of a converted church was really memorable. The room was well-appointed with everything you need. I was a little concerned about the unmanned status of the property but it wasn’t an issue at all. One block from the Main Street. My only feedback to them would be the room was really cold (drastically over air conditioned) and because we only stayed one night and all the walls are stone and the floor concrete by the time it was a reasonable temperature we were checking out.

The Smith is a true gem, great service and gorgeous rooms. I won’t stay anywhere else in Kingston.

Very cool looking hotel and easy to access. Location is great and texting the staff is generally responsive during the day. However maintenance is 40mins to an hour away and you cannot control the heat yourself. It takes 4 hrs for it to respond after they change it. It was also extremely noisy. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs in the rooms next door. The first time I heard people talking I thought they were inside my room! But no they were explaining how to play a card game at 12am and laughing until about 4am. There were no earplugs. I didn’t get any sleep. Also the rock/wall in the shower is breaking down so you shower on sand pretty much. They need a good sealant.

Our family had an amazing time staying at The Smith Hotel. We stayed in Loft 10 and it was beautiful and had everything we would possibly need for a weekend away.

The loft room was beautiful and had everything you need for your stay. Only thing to be aware of is the heating system does make regular noise and there is no elevators. For light sleepers, bring your earplugs. Hotel is located right downtown surrounded by eateries and shops.
