Heerlijk verblijf! Het hotel heeft een relaxte, fijne vibe en is prachtig ingericht met veel oog voor design en detail. Alles was schoon en verzorgd, en het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zeker een aanrader!

Het ligt iets afgelegen en er is geen direct toegang tot het nabij gelegen strand.

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und engagiert, so tollen Service haben wir bislang noch nicht erlebt (einzige Ausnahme war das Reinigungspersonal). Die Zimmer sind klein aber toll designt und ausgestattet, auf Wunsch gibt es Memory Foam Kissen. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind top, das Frühstück super.

Das Reinigungspersonal war recht unfreundlich, öffnete zB trotzdem die Tür obwohl wir sagten sie sollten nicht eintreten.

The location and the decor of the place a very good. The views to the ocean are very good. Also, the mini sauna, and gym are very nice.

The staff is not properly trained and you have to constantly remind them of things. Sometimes they are rude. Also, you are paying for a 5* hotel and the staff, food, and facilities are not up to standard. For example, they have arguably one of the best ocean views and the pool is small and inward looking. They charge you for small waters. Everytime you spend on account to your room they keep on pre-authorising your credit card. Most of the vegetation is not properly groomed, most of the plants dead. The lunch menu is salads and sandwiches.

The setting is beautiful, with stunning views, and the food was generally of a good standard. However, for the price, I think there are several areas that could be improved. The starters are buffet-style, allowing you to help yourself as much as you like, but the selection was limited mainly to salads. There were oysters, which were a nice touch, but for a brunch at this price point I would have expected more variety, such as deli meats and cheeses. For the main course, you choose between a fish, vegetarian or meat option. My lamb was beautifully presented and cooked well, but unfortunately it was far too salty for my taste. The desserts were enjoyable but, again, I felt there could have been a wider selection. The "bottomless" drinks free-flowing sparkling wine or mimosas were not really free-flowing, as we had to ask for every refill. The service was slow and, at times, it felt as though refills were being provided rather reluctantly. With only around 15–20 guests in the restaurant, it would have been much better to have a member of staff dedicated to monitoring tables and proactively topping up glasses. Our major issue was the music. When we arrived, we were seated outside under an umbrella, which was perfect. Unfortunately, there was a DJ playing very loud music that completely changed what we expected to be a relaxing Sunday brunch atmosphere. We asked a member of staff if it would be possible to lower the volume, they immediately spoke to the DJ. The music seemed to come down slightly, but before long it was loud again. After a few glances in the DJ's direction by me, one of the speakers was turned slightly inward, but this made very little difference. The constant heavy bass and loud beat completely spoiled the peaceful setting. After finishing our starters, we asked a member of staff if we could move inside for our mains and desserts, and this was happily arranged. However, in my opinion, we should never have had to move inside simply to escape the noise. At that point, having seen that the first request had not been respected, the staff should have insisted that the music be lowered to a level that all guests could comfortably enjoy. Instead, we felt we had to leave what had been the perfect outdoor table in order to continue our meal. Even indoors, the bass could still be heard. In my opinion, there is simply no need for loud club-style music during a Sunday afternoon brunch. The beautiful setting speaks for itself and would be much better complemented by relaxed background music. DJs and heavy bass are far more suited to the evening. After our meal, we moved to the outdoor sofas, further away from the music, to enjoy the wonderful view. At around 3:30 pm, the DJ finally finished, and the atmosphere immediately became far more enjoyable. The background music that followed was the perfect volume—pleasant, relaxing and exactly what the venue deserved. We stayed on, purchased a bottle of wine, and finally enjoyed the peaceful Sunday afternoon we had hoped for. Overall, Aethos Ericeira has a fantastic location, attractive surroundings and good food. However, at €65 per person—prices more comparable to London than Portugal—I expected a more varied brunch offering, genuinely attentive bottomless drinks service, and an atmosphere that allowed guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings. With a few changes, particularly to the brunch selection, drinks service and Sunday music policy, this could be an exceptional experience. I did e-mail the hotel to express my opinion, but still after a couple of weeks, I do not have any feedback. What a pity, it’s such a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, away from the crowds of Ericeira in the summer months.

La vue et la décoration.

La chambre n’était pas conforme à ce que j’attendais. Problème en arrivant avec la climatisation, pas de pile dans la télécommande. Le restaurant était moyen et le personnel pas forcément très disponible.

Room, view, facilities. The restaurant was very good, breakfast was fantastic with fresh cut ripe fruits, eggs to order. The staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about wine and food pairings. The stay was well worth the expense.

I cannot fault a single thing.

Localização, beleza natural e serviço atencioso e amável

Para o preço elevado, os quartos são demasiado pequenos, em particular a casa de banho. A piscina é muito pequena, enxaguada e nas traseiras do hotel, sem vista mar. O pior de tudo foi a música permanente (e alta), imagino que para criar um ambiente cool, tipo lounge, com uma vibe tipo sunset, mas arrasa com o conforto, descanso ou leitura de que se queira desfrutar nos espaços comuns.

I feel like I discovered our perfect hotel brand! Arriving after travel they had a gym, steam room, cold plunge, and the most amazing sunset view sauna. We arrived with our three kids and we have a connect bunk bed room. The rooms were stylish and comfortable. My kids slept late the first morning and the staff prepared a breakfast for them to back to the room. All our meals there were fantastic. It just felt so comfortable. We will be back!

Un véritable havre de paix ! Nous avons passé un séjour très reposant . Le lit était extrêmement confortable et les équipements sont de grande qualité . Mention spécial pour le calme de l’établissement et la gentillesse du personnel . La vue est spectaculaire. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir . Достойный и разнообразный завтрак, уютный теплый бассейн , защищенный от ветров.

Сложно распределить личные вещи из-за практически полного отсутствия ящиков шкафа. Расположение шуфлядок в 50 см от пола , видимо только для обуви . Ну и сейф доступен исключительно или на коленках или полулежа . В санитарных комнатах слив унитазов требует постоянного внимания , стор клапаны не срабатывают.

I’ve been going back to this beautiful place for the past 4-5 years now sometimes twice a year. The services and staff are just excellent! It’s a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets! It’s an amazing experience to stay at this hotel!

Il y a peu d'endroit où s'asseoir pour profiter de la vue l'extérieur. L'emplacement de l'hôtel n'est pas mémorable pour le prix, il faut une voiture pour se déplacer et on s'est retrouvé à passer notre séjour à l'extérieur de l'hôtel.

Gostamos muito da experiência. O hotel é super confortável, acolhedor e a localização e vista são excelentes. O staff muito simpatico e sempre muito prestável. O pequeno almoço é extraordinário, super completo e muito bem confecionado.

Apesar do colchão ser muito bom as almofadas eram moles e muito baixas.

Really good location, close to ocean, not like many other hotels with ocean view, great stuff, was very helpful Perfect view from room, great spa, and also my pleasure, was that they have Trek MTB e-bikes, that you could ride around, to the edge of cliff for sunset (Sad that they get rusty, but i think that ocean leaves no other options for them😅)

Great experience. The hotel location is amazing but that does not come as a surprise, based on the photos I saw before. Rooms are nice, same for the amenities and infrastructure, align with a 5 start hotel. What really come as a positive surprise was the staff. Very young team and all so friendly and helpful, not too formal and not too relax... just the perfect balance to make you feel great. Also excellent suggestions for some activities in the area. Second nice surprise was the breakfast, served based on a Menu A la carte... plus some buffet offers. All with great quality and some variety and original options. Definitely one of the highest points of the hotel. Naturally all this comes with a price, so it's not cheap. I believe this season should be perfect because it avoids the crowd, so probably the service is better due to less customers. Totally recommended, for example for a especial occasion or, if price is not a problem, any time is always a good time 😉 looking forward to return. Thanks to all the team for such a nice treatment.

Nothing really... no complaints

My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and any concerns we had about October weather on the Atlantic coast were melted away by the stunning Portuguese sun. We also lucked out by avoiding what I understand can be some major hold-onto-your-surfboard winds; it was a calm dream our whole weekend. That allowed us to enjoy the beautifully designed pool area and the terrace overlooking the ocean. I’d highly recommend getting adventurous while there; take the surf lessons offered by the hotel! We had so much fun (it didn’t hurt that the instructors are easy on the eyes! ;-)). Go for a hike along the cliff ridges for stunning sunset views! The staff at the hotel were friendly but didn’t acknowledge our multiple previous stays with the brand which was a little disappointing but not a huge deal. Just something we always take note of at top hotels. The food at the restaurant was fine but not exceptional; I’d recommend checking out the local restaurants in town instead. Lots of great options. But all in all this was a delightful stay in a romantic little surf haven.

The ambience, service, music, aromas, general sense of calm, staff, and views were incredible. I had two services in the spa - a facial and a massage - and both were wonderful. The restaurant’s food was excellent.

The property is a bit remote. Most people had cars, it appeared, but I didn’t… in the future I would definitely rent a car. It is easy to get a Bolt, however. The cliff-top location is spectacular, but recent rains had made it difficult or impossible to walk/hike along the cliffs. (Not the property’s fault, of course.)

Tastefully designed hotel in beautiful location on a cliff over the beach. Staff was great — happy, positive, helpful, but not overbearing.

There was some exterior renovations and repairs to the building and pool area the caused some noise, which wasn't great for relaxing by the pool. But was not a huge issue.

É um pormenor, mas estava à espera que sendo um hotel de 5 estrelas, ao pequeno-almoço soubessem fazer ovos escalfados. (Os que pedi chegaram cozidos)

Das Aethos Ericeira hat die wohl schönste Lage, die ein Hotel haben kann. Man schaut beim Aufwachen direkt aufs Meer und genießt hier die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge. Die Ausstattung ist wunderschön und man schläft in den Betten wunderbar. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr besonders. Neben einer feinen Buffet Auswahl, besteht die Möglichkeit, Bowls und Eierspeißen zu bestellen. Wirklich eines der besten Frühstücke, die wir in einem Hotel bisher hatten. Neben all den aufgeführten großartigen Details, sind es letztlich die Menschen, die das besondere Gefühl vermitteln. Die Freundlichkeit, jedes Lächeln, Nachfragen und die große Hilfsbereitschaft sind hier absolut bemerkenswert. Und genau das ist es, woran wir uns immer erinnern werden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und empfehlen dieses Hotel zu 100% weiter.

A paisagem, o staff, a sauna com vista para o mar. Os quartos são muito espaçosos, confortáveis e bem decorados. Tendo ido nós no pico do inverno, não pudemos usufruir da piscina aquecida, pois é exterior e o hotel não conseguia manter a temperatura da água.

A cozinha do restaurante do hotel tinha má exaustão e saímos de lá a cheirar a comida, e mesmo no lobby cheirava bastante. Num hotel destes, é inadmissível que tal aconteça. Podiam melhorar esse pormenor, ou poderiam colocar uns cheirinhos nos corredores do hotel para disfarçar o cheiro da comida. No entanto, a comida do restaurante é maravilhosa.

Everything... I loved my stay here. This is an extraordinary hotel in a stunning location right beside the Ocean. It is charming and elegant in its simplicity. Incredible staff, wonderful attention to detail and not at all pretentious for its class. It has an excellent kitchen with a very innovative menu, a welcome surprise for a hotel. Fabulous bar and cocktails too. I absolutely loved the Spa experience. Cant wait to come back......

Очень хочется отметить большой профессионализм команды! Сервис от начала и до конца на высшем уровне! Красивый вид из номеров с видом на океан,обязательно берите их! Место уединенное и очень атмосферное!

Полностью прозрачный душ и прозрачные жалюзи к нему,из-за этого нет чувства уединения. Завтрак был а-ля карт:продукты качественные,но выбора не хватило!

Perfekter Aufenthalt. Tolle Lage, sehr angenehmere Ambiente, hervorragendes Essen, gute Betten und noch bessere Bettwäsche. Das Beste sind aber die Mitarbeiter.

Fiz reserva com pagamento no alojamento e quando fiz o check-out o dinheiro já tinha sido retirado da minha conta. O que não era pretendido, pois queria pagar de outra conta bancária. Ou seja a reserva com pagamento no alojamento , conforme referia no booking não se efectuou e não foi verdadeira. Senti me enganada. Não gostei.
