Staff was very helpful and pleasant, especially Yasmin, who offered great advice and service. Breakfast was good but the coffee machine was terrible. The common areas were charming.

My room was abysmally small. There is no AC so we had to open windows which open to the parking lot. I'm sure most of the time AC is not necessary but we were there during a heat wave.

Good sized room, large well-equipped bathroom. Close to the sea and nice places to eat.

Matter of opinion really, the bed was very firm in the room and had a slight slope! They also don't seem to have an iron and ironing board available. They had a steamer, which wasn't too bad. But overall, a nice well-located hotel.

On entry to the hotel no person was on reception but they came quite quickly once the buzzer had been pushed. The member of staff who greeted Me was very friendly and helpful as we arrived earlier than expected. The room was large, clean and bright, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows should you need them. Nice to see biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee. Bathroom was well stocked with toileteries and shower shampoo etc. Breakfast you had a good choice of cooked or cereal or both if you were hungry. Great location to walking around Plymouth, the Hoe or the Barbican would use again. And of course parking right outside the hotel.

Unfortunately communication at breakfast one morning meant they forgot my breakfast. The shelf in the bathroom was rusty and dust on top of the shower glass door frame

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Hot breakfasts were made to order (ordered the evening before) so were lovely and hot. There was also cereal, fruit, toast and yogurt available. Our room was lovely and clean.

We stayed in a triple deluxe room and although it was very clean, it was on the small size with a very small , but functional, bathroom. It was also a little noisy as it was right next to the rear car park/ hotel entrance. ( Proximity to rear car park made it easier to unload luggage.) The car park itself is very small and if you are one of the last cars to arrive, it is not easy to park. It was also completely blocked off when we returned to the hotel in the evening as a car had parked across the entrance. If you have an early start, let the hotel staff know in advance and ask for a parking spot at the front of the hotel as the hotel reception is unmanned over night. This wouldn't put us off staying here again though.

Excellent location close to the sea, close to the Barbican. Shops nearby. Lovely staff excellent breakfast, very clean room. The highlight being the walk in shower. Fantastic. A very relaxing stay and parking was provided on site.

Fantastic location close to the Hoe - we were well looked after and as requested a parking space was waiting for us when we arrived. All the staff were very welcoming and our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. There was a little confusion with our breakfast order but as a coeliac I was well catered for with gluten free and nothing was too much trouble. Most

Most of our grumbles were down to personal taste- bed too soft, would have preferred mugs and a choice of teas etc but the biggest dislike was the rusty shelf/display unit in the bathroom…it so needs to be taken down and replaced as it is absolutely disgusting and with all the rust looks hideous!

My room was very hot no window. Pillow lumpy. No shower mat for safety. Room right below kitchen so noisy and wook very early. Do not have room 5 if you want a good sleep staff very good. Bar closed by 10pm.

Free parking. Brilliant access to Plymouth. Ideal place to walk to anywhere relevant to Plymouth. Staff where so natural to communicate with. Very pleasant stay. No problems.

Mushrooms and sausages were not to my taste, but well cooked and edible. The eggs were excellent and overall excellent food. Just being picky. Would I book again, definitely one of the best places in Plymouth for the price.

Un très bon emplacement, très central entre la côte, le centre-ville commerçant, le port et ses restaurants. Tout se fait facilement à pied. Nous avons été accueillis par des personnes extrêmement cordiales. L'établissement est typique et très propre (mention spéciale pour la salle du petit déjeuner - ce dernier est varié, les mets servis de qualité, très bons et bien présentés). L'hôtel dispose d'une douzaine de places de stationnement tout au plus, mais personne ne semble être resté 'à la rue', où le stationnement est payant

Great location, close to the Hoe and the city centre. Very comfortable, great food and lovely staff. Onsite parking was a bonus.

The accomodation stated that there was a bar but it was only open for a few hours and hardly any in the evenings. No-one told us (until our last night) that we could go to the sister hotel a few yards up the road to have a drink. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage. Von hier aus kann man in kurzer Zeit alle sehenswerten Orte der Stadt fußläufig erreichen. Das Personal ist super nett, das Frühstück ist lecker und insgesamt ist das Hotel sehr gut gepflegt und sauber.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer im 2. Stock. Leider konnte man die Fenster nicht komplett öffnen, sondern nur einen kleinen Spalt weit aufklappen. Aufgrund der hohen Temperaturen war es sehr stickig und warm im Zimmer. Die Matratzen der Einzelbetten waren sehr weich.

Parking. We were led to believe parking was on first come, first served basis, which would have be fine. It then transpired that if you booked direct with hotel they would reserve a parking place. As we booked through a third party, this would not be done for us. It meant we were unable to use our car as loosing the parking would have cost £20 a day street parking!

The basement rooms don't have windows. Some are directly under the kitchen and breakfast room area, which means a lot of noise as people move around from 6am. Check the room details before booking.

Dining room, large with plenty of room around tables. Breakfast excellent choices, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free safe secure car parking at the rear. Ideal for us, close to our room.

We stayed in room 008. The only thing we didn't like was that it was impossible to walk down the side of the bed nearest the window. Otherwise no problem.

From the moment we walked through the front door . Beth (on reception) was very courteous and polite and engaging . The Hotel is immaculately clean with beautiful decor throughout. Breakfast was exceptional and cooked perfectly (Thanks Chef) which set us up for are day exploring Plymouth with great recommendations and local knowledge from Beth thankyou everyone at The Drake Hotel for making mine and my wife's weekend away memorable 😊

I was put in a room that was really a store room. It was horrible. I got very little sleep due to background noise from the kitchen all night. I was at a wedding the next day which was ruined as I was exhausted
