Muskoka Waterfront Retreat

Nothing to be honest , the lake was 2 minutes walk and had a great sunset.

Property was in poor condition, internal bedroom doors removed , stains on the doors , walls , ceilings and overall very poor condition, the property may have been a resort many years ago , no contact when calling the management. Please avoid at all cost . Booking.com has photos on the website that are not current photos . Very disappointing and expensive.

Location was wonderful

Very bad value for money, property was extremely small and not clean or modern facilities. The photos were not an accurate reflection of the property and made it look much nicer than it was.

Beautiful location - ideal for park access. Excellent lake facilities. The suite had two queen beds next to each other. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

It was exactly as described.

Comfortable beds, AC worked well, kitchen was well equipped. Lake was lovely and staff were wonderful.

Our unit was far from the lake. The beach area was quite busy.

Very noisy you could hear the neighbour literally breathe (Chalet B6). The separating door was bumped all the time by our neighbour as they had some issues with closong it.

the location was superb, in front of the lake with the possibility to rent a kayak or sup for free, it was both close to algonquin park and to Huntsville (biggest city around) each suite has its own bbq grill, with a full set of cooking tools

the beds were a bit small for two adults. a little electric stove could be a good improvement

Die Lage und auch die Anlage an sich sind gut. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern hat indirekt über Nachrichten funktioniert.

Es ist in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Da keinerlei Reinigung stattfindet, ist es nach zwei Tagen dreckig.

Location. It was quiet. I liked the heat exchanger and streaming TV..

The cabin has a stale musty smell. Especially the tiny closet. The staff was absent. Difficulty finding the cabin.

Location is excellent directly on the lake and place is very quiet

Well located, some of the units were right by the lake. Gorgeous scenery and easy self check in. Good convenient parking outside the unit, lovely big communal fire pit, equipment to use for the lake (paddle boards, canoes) were nice.

Our unit wasn’t very well appointed - the kitchenette lacked a sink (we had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink, which had no plug)and there wasn’t any work surface, the glasses were very small. Our allocated unit wasn’t right on the lake so didn’t have a direct view unfortunately - I suggest double checking that before booking a specific unit if this is important to you.

Bis auf die Lage am See gibt es leider nichts Positives über diese Anlage zu berichten.

1. Die „Suite“ (auf booking.com als Ferienhaus deklariert) bestand aus einem kleinen Zimmer. Die Küchenausstattung bestand aus einem uralten Kühlschrank sowie Toaster und Wasserkocher. Eine Küchenzeile o.ä. gab es nicht; der Abwasch musste im Badezimmer-Waschbecken erledigt werden. 2. Das Zimmer inkl. Badezimmer waren sehr heruntergekommen und schmutzig. 3. Der Balkon konnte nicht genutzt werden, da dort ein Grill steht, der die gesamte Fläche einnimmt. 4. Klimaanlage laut und veraltet. 5. Nächtliche Ruhe aufgrund sehr lauten Kühlschranks direkt neben dem Bett gestört. 6. Die gesamte Anlage inkl. Kayaks/ Paddel machten einen sehr veralteten und heruntergekommenen Eindruck. 7. Auf meine Anfrage vom ersten Abend (in der Anzeige waren ein separater Wohn-sowie ein separater Schlafbereich beschrieben) habe ich bis heute keine Antwort erhalten. 8. Selbstversorgung mangels Küche in der „Suite“ nicht möglich (auch gibt es in der Anlage keine weitere Kochmöglichkeit).

There was no breakfast? Facility felt a bit abandoned, games room was nice, waterfront access was good.

Furniture layout in the room was awkward. Not enough stuff for cooking in a suite. Need a kitchen sink ( kitchenette) and induction plates. Consider a half wall between bathroom and kitchen area , then a counter. Need a few serving bowls. Photos online of suites are deceiving, we thought there would be a kitchenette and seating area. Balcony way too crowded. Shame the dining hall is abandoned, we would have eaten there. I tried to call ahead to get information about borrowing a canoe to take into Algonquin. After four attempts, no one called me back, no one at the call centre could give me a straight answer so we rented elsewhere. Bathroom needed more scrubbing. Walls are stained , baseboards are dirty and the tub faucet did not work properly, overall the facility feels worn out.

The location was beautiful and I liked how there was a beach close by

The fact that we paid so much money and the check in is 4pm and the check out is 10am. That seemed a little bit expensive for the short amount of time. Also the television connection wouldn’t work and the pull out couch was very uncomfortable

Cleanliness, Stove top, Kayaks and Canoes etc were all free!

Very small for 4 people. - only 3 outdoor chairs and a tiny table , 2 glasses , 2 bowls / felt like the room was only for 2

Nice chalets, great location away from the main road, right by the lake, and close to Algonquin national park. Bikes, canoes and kayaks all available for guests to use at no charge. Great that the chalets have an outdoor area with bbq’s. Good value.

Chalet was fairly basic and a bit dated but not a problem.

Liked the location and the extras like games room and lake toys - kayaks etc for free. Accommodation was hotel room style and a bit dated but perfectly serviceable and clean.

Unit was very clean - comfortable to stay with kids. Great location, step off the property onto the shore/water. Our Unit had Stove Top and Coffee maker with pods available, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans were not advertised but was a pleasant surprised and office staff said if we needed replenishment we could just text the number provided. Canoes, Kayaks, cycles etc we all FREE of charge.

Perhaps some insect screen around the patio.

The property is conveniently located right by the lake, and the private beach offers chairs, canoes, and kayaks for free—a fantastic bonus!

Die Lage am See ist mega. Man kann schnell baden gehen, das Wasser ist erst flach und leicht steinig und wird schnell super. Terasse ist toll mit Aussicht, aber auch am See direkt viele Stühle und ruhige Bereiche zum Genießen.

Etwas wenig Geschirr, aber lösbar, wenn man täglich die Spülmaschine laufen lässt.

Ausstattung war am Anfang katastrophal mit viel zu wenig Geschirr etc. wurde aber recht zügig verbessert auf Nachfrage

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Der Nationalpark und die näher gelegenen Ort sind schnell zu erreichen. Fußläufig ist ein kleiner Supermarkt und ein Frühstückslokal. Toll fanden wir den Seeblick von dem kleinen Balkon und das man die Kanus und Kayaks einfach kostenfrei benutzen konnte.

Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns, dass es nachts sehr laut war. Der Kühlschrank hatte mindestens einmal die Stunde sehr laute Geräusche gemacht für ca 10 Minuten. Dadurch war man immer wieder wach. Insgesamt war es okay. Ob wir es wieder buchen würden, wissen wir nicht.

De ligging is goed om het Algonquin park te bezoeken en je wandelt zo Dwight in. Er waren kano’s vrij te pakken bij het meer.

De kitchenette was alleen een koelkast en magnetron, de afwas moesten we doen in de badkamer (wat blijkbaar normaal is, want daar lag zeep). De waterdruk was erg slecht, de bedden hebben hun beste tijd gehad en het balkon was zeer klein. Daarnaast was het ook niet erg schoon en gedateerd. Voor deze prijs mag je meer verwachten.

The establishment is feels rundown, the door to the room didn’t lock, the bathroom floor had a slimy film on it - it felt dirty, the private outdoor sitting area had not been swept or cleaned, supplies should to be replenished before guests arrive.

Het huisje wat we hadden gehuurd was heel fijn. Een aparte woon en eetgedeelte met uitgebreide keuken inclusief benodigheden. En een aparte slaapkamer. Hele rustige en stille plek. Je zit op 50 stappen van het meer wat echt heel mooi is en prima uitvalbasis voor een bezoek aan het Algonquin National Park op 20km afstand.

De badkamer was heel klein.

The place wasn't super clean but ok for one night.

The location is incredibly beautiful, on a lake where you have canoes and kayaks available for free. There were also an outside firepit, benches and chairs where to relax. The cabin was cozy, well equipped and clean. Honestly we could not ask for more for our stay close to the Algonquin west gate. The staff was responsive and open to suggestions and feedback on what could be improved.

Everything was great, location is perfect.

It’s a little difficult to navigate as there is very little or poor signage, and the bed in our room needs to be replaced, it’s sinking in the middle.

Everything was great. Rooms, bathroom, kitchen were clean and good. We enjoyed the BBQ.

The vent wasn't working. Plus, there were no cupboards in the room, so it was tough to keep my stuff organized.

Sauberkeit Zimmer und Anwesen, Alter der Ausstattung, irreführende Angaben, Wasserqualität Achtung, Zimmer haben KEIN neues Bad, wie angegeben. Und zum Kochen/Essen ist auch nur bedingt Zubehör vorhanden.

Didn’t have to check in just went to the door with a code. Checking out was easy! The deep jacuzzi bathtub was a wonderful surprise. Our own BBQ on the little deck.

Would have loved the use of a paddle boat and the wifi was sketchy I used all my data up hot spotting to the TV.

Wir waren bei zugefroren See dort. Es war kalt. Der Vermieter hat die Heizung vorher angemacht. Dadurch war es sehr gemütlich. Kochen konnte man auch. Ein schöner Aufenthalt im kanadischen Winter.

Room size and view on the lake. Nice balcony and a fire pit in the garden. Parking in front of the door.

No kitchen, no dishwasher, needed to do the dish in the bathroom. Bring you own kitchen ware with you to do the dishes. Room door was extremely difficult to lock. Walls are very thin, neighbours had a party two nights in a row till after midnight, although the house rules were very specific that it should be quiet after 11:00pm.

The host was very reactive and helpful, bringing additional pillows, blankets, towels, cutlery. I loved having a fireplace. The place was nicely set up. Great location to enjoy Algonquin Park

I had to sleep on the floor. This property advertised one of their cottages for 6 people on Booking while there was actually 2 double beds, and a old worn out uncomfortable sofa on which you could definitely not have 2 people sleeping (even 1...) They should either replace with a proper sofa bed, or only advertise it for a group of 4 max.

Just the location as its in front of the lake.

The place was not spacious enough as shown in the pictures. The barbecue was not clean, no mat available on the entrance as because of snow shoes were dirty. Black ice all over no salt was sprinkled patio was not cleaned.

Amazing place, me and my partner had a wonderful weekend getaway, Lake is frozen in winters so you can do ice fishing. The place looked magical in winters

Very nice location. You can do bonfire, do activities and ride a canoe for free and lots of space for kids to play. There's a BBQ in every room.

Mosquitoes. Lots of them. The property should provide mosquito repellents and bug zapper in every room.

We were near the fire pit and we got to use it twice so we got lucky.

It was hard to get ahold of staff that were able to do upgrades.

We loved the host keeping in touch with us with clear instructions on how to get in etc. The property was clean, we enjoyed a lot.

-Gorgeous property and views of the Lake -Great check-In/check- out setup -Very clean and true to a cabin in Muskoka feel -Great hot water system -Full kitchen and BBQ is a great bonus -Pet-friendly allowing all family members to be with us on holidays -Indoor fireplace, beautiful and provides warmth -Outdoor firepit- tons of Adirondack chairs provided to sit around and enjoy. Fire pits in the cottage area as well as right on the water. -Had rained and become very icy while we were there. Staff was very attentive to this and sanded our steps early each morning and walkways. -Great pool room, little games area and book nook as well. Quiet and cozy in there so you either have full games going on or quietly read like a library setting

-only negative and it wasn't even that big of a deal to us is the bed was super comfy but was loud when you move. Woke my husband up a couple times throughout the night trying to get out of bed.

Les cabines étaient vétustes et étroites. Avec une sécurité qui se laisse à désirer. Les photos sur le site ne reflètent pas la réalité car c’est pris avec le grand angle. L’odeur de l’humidité est casi présente. Le personnel présent ne peut rien et surtout il contacte les propriétaires que par message et on insistant il les appelle. Au final, la personne a menti en disant que nous l’avons mal parlé et pas respecté alors que nous étions tous respectueux et nous avons demandé de vérifier l’eau chaude et le four qui ne fonctionnait pas. Ils ont dit car nous étions nombreux à prendre la douche et il faut attendre 30 minutes après chaque douche. Quand nous avons dit mais nous n’avons pas pris de douche encore, ils ont inventé l’histoire de non respect du personnel. Sincèrement, il faut revoir l’équipement, les conditions et l’hygiène dans la maison avec des traces d’humidité et de moisissures partout !

there was nobody at self checkout. I needed some help with the fireplace or some other amenities and there was no one at check in or on the phone number that they gave us.

Perfekte Lage am See. Alles an Ausstattung vorhanden, was man braucht. Auch bei Temperaturen unter Null gemütlich warm.

Die Lage ist super, der Ort ist sehr schön und man erreicht schnell eine grössere Ortschaft um Einkäufe zu erledigen oder den Algonquin Park zu erkunden. Die grösse des Zimmers war toll und auch die Einrichtung war angenehm. Wir hatten ein paar Probleme wo wir jedoch unverzüglich Hilfe erhalten haben.

Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers. Es hatte Spinnweben. Die Küchengeräte waren sehr stark abgenutzt oder sogar schmutzig. Es sollte vor der Vermietung alles nochmals geprüft werden. Z. B war die Gasflasche vom Grill leer oder das Spülmittel.

This location was absolutely gorgeous. Couples, Solo, or with friends it doesn’t matter! If you need a reset with a gorgeous view and cozy vibes this is your spot! We didn’t need to speak to anyone the whole trip as the only thing we needed was more firewood and the rack was basically outside our door so we just grabbed it ourselves which was a plus! It felt like we had the place to ourselves! If you need to take a break from the chaotic world this is the place! Bring a flashlight as it get SO dark and since it is fall it happens so early, there is a deck across the street check it out for the perfect star gazing experience! If you are expecting luxury this might not be for you but if you are wanting the camping/nature vibes with the comfort and luxury of sleeping indoors this is definitely the place! I came back fully rested and ready to take out the next challenges the kids bring me with a fresh mindset!

Not that any of this was an issue because we are low key - but points I made for us to bring next time I’ll share - Bring an extra pillow if you need more then one to sleep, they offer one per person. If you like a big cup of coffee in the morning you should bring your own as we found theirs the size of typical hotel mugs - they did provide keurig pods! If you plan to use the indoor fire place bring a humidifier - we didn’t even think about that. Also I would suggest bigger towels - but I bring my own bath sheet towels everywhere because I don’t find towels to ever be as comfy and big as the ones from home :)

Scenery, activities and the overall peaceful environment

The fact that they sent me an email to leave a Google review and I will get a 15% discount on the next stay and once I did, I didn’t get what was promised :(

Beautiful waterfront location with peaceful surroundings. Room was clean and decent. Being by the water made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Also like that they had canoes and other stuff there for use by guests.

Communication prior to our stay was poor. We were told there might be a discount for an extra night, but we never got clear details despite multiple attempts to ask. Requests for a crib and high chair were not answered. The bed was creaky and uncomfortable, and the pillows weren’t fluffy. Towels were rough and not very soft. It was challenging to manage the canoes and water activities ourselves with a baby - it would be nice if someone were on site to help. Price felt high considering the room didn’t have any special features.

Locatie met uitzicht over het meer is fantastisch. Openbare vuurkorf is super gezellig om nog langer buiten te genieten. Er ligt hout klaar om zelf een vuurtje te maken. Nieuwsgierige eekhoorns in de ochtend zorgen voor een mooi entertainment. In het hoofdgebouw zijn genoeg spellen en een pooltafel aanwezig om te recreëren als het weer wat slechter is. Elk huisje heeft een eigen barbecue.

Toiletten zijn vaak verstopt. In het huisje zijn weinig pannen aanwezig om fatsoenlijk te koken. Badkamer en keuken zijn wat verouderd. Maar desalniettemin prima om een paar dagen te verblijven.

Die Lage ist top!

Völlig lieblos ausgestattet, in Teilen heruntergekommen. Die Anlage scheint ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich zu haben. Schade eigentlich, denn das Potential ist riesig.

Sehr angenehme, ruhige Lage am See, Kanu, Kajak, SUP inklusive. Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal. Die verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten(auf der eigenen Terrasse, unter den Bäumen, an der Feuerstelle, unten am See) auf dem Gelände waren auch sehr schön.

Etwas mehr Ausstattung in der Küche (Teller, Tassen, Gläser) wäre gut gewesen.
