Reviewed Aug 11, 2025Very homey and comfortable. Near a lot of tourist attraction places, quiet and great sleep. Lovely hosts and they keep the property neat and well maintained. Parking beside the cottage door, back porch is covered and comfortable and field with a small playset is great for little and young kids. Full size kitchen, cottage is like a small bungalow house and 2 minute walk to a beach. Great for families or groups, or a home away from home. Simply wonderful.

The kitchen had everything you would need and deck was wonderful to sit on while using the provided BBQ. Management was very friendly and check in was a breeze.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2024Very clean and comfortable but really not suited for short term 1-3 day rental because there are zero supplies, not even coffee so you have to do grocery shopping for a short stay that doesn’t work well. Internet is extremely slow. Location is not on beach and limited water view. Cottage is well stocked for longer stay with dishes and kitchen ware. We weren’t given notice that there wasn’t anyone at property to check you in. Had to call to figure out process. That said, when toilet stopped working they were very responsive and quickly fixed the problem.

Patio door didn’t have a screen. Would have been nice to keep it open for the breeze. Also patio door blinds did not give complete privacy. Missing some of the panels. No tank on bbq.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2023the cottage is lovely, well kept and super clean. the owner is very nice. the beach is pretty private and only a short walking distance away. they are a short drive away from everything in Cavendish (4 minute drive to Sandspit, golf course, Avonlea village)
it comes down to really simple things, like the lack of paper towels and/or napkins. the shower drain was clear, but water didn't drain, so the tubs got dirty with sand quickly, which made bath time with a toddler slightly more difficult. there's also a loose wire on the side of the house that knocks in the wind. kind of makes it sound like someone is knocking on the wall all night. but in all honesty, these are small things, we had a really lovely time.

And there were only two fire pits. Out of I believe 5 chalets. Number 1 had one and 3 had one. But the rest didn’t. Would have been nice to kick back and have a fire after a long day.
