Waiwas Hostel

I stayed at this hostel and had a really great experience! The atmosphere is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and well organized. The location is great, and it’s the perfect place to meet other travelers. I definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again! 😊

Llegar a las literas de arriba no es muy fácil ni cómodo.

El millor hostel on he estat a Kuta Lombok. Instal·lacions còmodes, piscina excel•lent i sobretot un personal encantador. Gràcies Alejandro, Lia, Wadi i a tota la resta per fer-me sentir com a casa! A més a més, el sopar comuntari que fan cada dia és genial per conèixer a altres persones.

The hostel had a great vibe and the family dinner was a really nice way to meet people! It has good facilities and everything was clean. But the most amazing part of the hostel is the staff! They were all so friendly, and a special thanks to Alihandro for making me feel so welcome and making sure I got everything I needed during my stay :)

Great hostel, love the pod style rooms. Staff were fantastic and Alihandro really went out his way to make sure the stay was perfect. Absolutely loved the family dinners! Great way to meet other travellers and food was delicious too. Really social and welcoming vibe for both those who want to chill and those who want to party, highly recommend

Really social hostel - especially the family dinner was great! The pool is nice and renting a scooter and getting transport was really easy! The staff was amazing and incredibly friendly!! especially Alihandro made sure we had everything we need :)

way more of a party vibe than I imagined. The loud music is playing until at least 11 and the doors don't probably close so it's really loud inside the rooms...

Tolles familiäres Hostel. Die Mitarbeiter begrüßen dich von Sekunde 1 an mit Namen, man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und zu Hause. Die Schlafkapseln bieten viel Privatsphäre, es gibt ausreichend Toiletten und Duschen, in House Scooter Rental. Alles was man braucht ist in der Nähe. Es gibt jeden Abend Aktivitäten, einen großen Pool, einen tollen Gemeinschaftsbereich und fast jeden Abend ein kostenloses Familydinner. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle super nett und hilfsbereit. Jedes Bett verfügt über einen eigenen Ventilator. Ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt und bin 2 Wochen geblieben.

Evtl. Könnten die Schlafkapseln auch mal ausgekehrt werden, die waren neben den Matratzen nicht ganz so sauber. Die Treppen zu den oberen Bunks sind leider schrecklich, da sollte man aufpassen, dass man nicht danebentritt.

De algemene sfeer was heel fijn! Het voelde echt een beetje als thuis komen. Het was ook het eerste hostel waar ik graag was, dus ook gewoon een lekkere plek om te chillen. Daarnaast was iedereen die er werkte super aardig en ontmoet je heel gemakkelijk mensen! Het hostel biedt zelf ook veel activiteiten aan en behalve op maandag heb je elke avond een family dinner. Speciaal bedankje aan Alihandro (die alle namen onthoudt na je 1 keer te hebben gezien en je echt gezien laat voelen), Nadi (voor alle gezelligheid en het creëeren van een open sfeer), Sisiwadi & the rest from the crew!

Je moet er wel tegen kunnen om met heel wat mensen op de kamer te slapen en dat je bed in een soort holletje zit met nogal een uitdagende trap omhoog als je boven slaapt:)

Il personale era veramente gentile e pronto ad soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza. Specialmente Alihandro, il ragazzo alla cassa, veramente friendly, sembrava quasi che fossimo amici e ci conoscessimo da anni.

L’unica pecca degli ostelli sono, il rumore, la luce che entra in camera e la gente che fa casino durante la notte. Quindi tocca attrezzarsi di tappi per orecchie e mascherina per gli occhi.

I had the best time at Waiwas. The staff were incredible. Family dinners were excellent. Social vibe was top tier.

I booked and paid more for a female dorm but they didn't have a female dorm.

Very social but also relaxing hostel with a great common/pool area. Easy to meet lots of people. The dinner is quite basic but plentiful, it’s made to suit everyone and does get everyone together so it’s really good! Even though a large dorm the capsules make it feel like you have your own space. Plenty of showers & toilets and I like that they are in a separate space Special shout to Alihandro, who was super friendly and helpful with advice the whole time I was there

The only thing I would like to see improved is the air conditioning, which is off during the day and on only at night. But it didn’t come on early enough, so my bed - at the opposite end of the dorm was super hot when trying to go to sleep. I still slept well overall but would have made it more comfortable

Muy ruidoso, siempre tienen la musica puesta. Los huéspedes no suelen respetar las horas de descanso.

Echt fantastisch hostel. Je slaapt met veel mensen op de kamer maar hebt hier geen last van. Avondeten ‘s avonds was heerlijk, leuke activiteiten als yoga en het personeel is mega vriendelijk

Het weggaan

BOEK HIER NIET! Lees aub! Dit is losweg het vuilste hostel was ik ook heb gezien. Het is totaal nie gelijk op de foto's! Er hangt schimmel in de douches en ze zijn niet afgewerkt zoals op hun foto. Er is geen airco waardoor de hokjes aanvoelen als een hetelucht oven. De bedlakens worden ook nie deftig gewassen er zaten 5 gele vlekken op die van mij 😵‍💫. Als ik dit aankaarten bij de staff zeiden ze dat housekeeping alles vervangt en sowieso om de 3 dagen poets. Daar was enorm weinig van te merken. Dan heb ik het nog niet over het bouwlawaai wat begon. Verder zijn de lichten totaal niet sterk en is het er erg donker, en tot slot riekt de badkamer consequent naar riool. Ik heb iets anders geboekt en totaal geen spijt van 0 sterren gaat helaas niet. Verschrikkelijke ervaring!!! De 5 sterren reviews krijgen ze door mensen gratis nachten aan te bieden

Gewoon alles, de locatie, sfeer, mensen, … De gratis avondmaaltijd is een perfecte gelegenheid om mensen te leren kennen. Alihandro en Nadi hebben ons heel thuis laten voelen en waren altijd bereikbaar voor vragen/hulp.

De slaaphokken kunnen wel een likje verf gebruiken.

My stay at Waiwas hostel was amazing! All the staff are all so lovely and create such a fun, welcoming environment. Alihandro in particular was so nice. Would definitely recommend staying :)

la construcción es “en obra”, que recién terminada es muy bonita, pero si no se le hace mantención termina viéndose horrible y sucio. los baños necesitan un aseo profundo para quitar los hongos

Super Stimmung, coole Events, vor allem das Community Dinner bringt alle zusammen. Bin extra für meinen Geburtstag nochmal zurück gekommen und hatte eine super schöne Zeit. Auch das Personal ist sehr lieb. Vor allem Alihandro zaubert einem immer ein Lächeln ins Gesicht 🫰 Danke für die tolle Zeit!

This hostel is advertising female dorm rooms (and charging extra for them) when they currently do not have female dorms available as they are under renovation - only mixed gender rooms are available. I was not informed of this in the 4 days between my booking and my arrival, nor at check in where they allowed me to check in to what I thought was a female dorm and pay extra for it. They claim that Booking.com is aware of this issue and has not taken down the female dorm option and claimed that they could not even tell from my booking that I had selected a female dorm. The staff were responsive and I received a full refund but am making this clear as it is a serious issue and future guests at this hostel need to be aware of what they are booking

The location is good, staff is really friendly

The place isn’t as nice as the photos… was kinda dirty and damp, there was blood on the walls… the capsule is also kind of damp/ humid and the ac doesn’t really cycle in so it’s quite warm inside even though there’s ac in the room

The dinner is simple but really nice because free and help you meet people. The pods are clean and really comfortable.

You need a scooter if you want to move around town and to the beach

I highly recommend this place ! Every day there are free yoga classes that are beginner-friendly, it’s a great way to relax ! There are also free dinners in the evening where you can chat with other travelers. The location is convenient, and they offer scooter rentals by the day. The capsule beds really give you some privacy. I had a truly wonderful stay :)

Bella atmosfera.

I materassi erano abbastanza scomodi e con qualche macchia sul copriletto. Come ventilazione, c'era un piccolo ventilatore pieno di polvere e molto rumoroso. Fondamentale però da usare di notte in assenza di altre fonti d'aria.

Liked everything, great location and friendly staff, great pool and bar where you can get drinks and coffee, even I borrowed money from receptionist to give to my grab driver on first day, nice of them

Shared dinner Tuesday-Sunday was a great way to meet people. Yoga was super nice and they have a mini gym too. The dorm was surprisingly super quiet for so many people. Shared area outside was good with lots of seats.

No filtered drinking water is included, which sucks when you’re trying to reduce single use plastic waste. Usually surfing + yoga = some environmental consciousness or consideration. Theres no way to make oatmeal etc in the morning either.

Ich hatte ganz viele Ameisen im Bett im 12er zimmer funktionierte nur ein Waschbecken! Die leute haben ihr zeug im gang rumgeworfen und der Boden wurde als Mülldeponie benutzt! Es stank und das gratis Abendessen war leider ungeniessbar

The location is great, a short walk from the main street of Kuta and with great eateries nearby. The dorm was very spacious, and it's great that the beds have space for a little wardrobe next to them. Lots of shared toilets and showers. There is 24/7 security who sits outside the front gates of the hostel who is always so welcoming, and makes you feel safe when you get back at night.

Dinners are included but are very basic, and not enough for everyone. The beds and showers could be a bit cleaner, but were good enough for a short stay.

The facilities are very nice -very nice pool. And dinner was organised by the hostel twice a week.

Bathroom cleanliness could be improved and unpractical ladder to go to the top beds.

Very nice social hostel to meet new friends. I wanted to stay ther for just a few nights and ended up staying there for 2,5 weeks. Swimming pool, billiard and table tennis and especially the free family dinner every evening made the time to a perfect place to meet new friends. I will come back to this place. Even though the dorms were for 20 people you here nothing during the night because everyone has a little own kind of cabin to sleep in
