Would have been useful to have had a couple of spoons. And the coffee machine sprayed grounds all over the place when we tried to use it (unclear if that was user error though!)

Really nice to have room with two queen-sized beds for self and grown daughter.

Noisy AC and fridge defrosted and soaked all our food. Not sure why. $300plus Canadian dollars night was very expensive indeed. Sets high expectations.

Erg gehorig, ik kon de schoonmaak in de ochtend gewoon met alles dicht verstaan terwijl ze niet luid aan het praten waren, hun werkruimte lag naast onze kamer net als de balie. Geen vitrage en onze begane grond kamer was naast de ingang dus dan moest helaas rolgordijn dicht blijven anders keek iedereen zo naar binnen, beetje jammer.

The parking lot in front of the building is a bit too small. Even though there is another parking lot just cross the street, it was not too convenient when travel with children and grandparents.

I like that the property is by the water, it’s right beside a restaurant and pub, and it’s pretty much a few minutes to everything.

There were so many geese and pigeons around, so there was so much bird poop around the property. Couldn’t enjoy the picnic tables and benches set up close to the property as we’re looking down so much to make sure we don’t step on the poop. But then again, I don’t think there’s anything management can do about that.

The room was clean.

The window shade crept up during the night and let in the light from the gigantic outdoor light. The air conditioning was exceedingly noisy and didn't cool the air. The traffic on the road at night was very noisy. For two days of our stay (out of 6), no one came to our room to clean or provide new towels. We had a "garden view" room but there was no garden just the parking lot and road. On the night before we left, I asked to park closer to the hotel but was told there was no place. Then the attendant said he would move his car - really!! His car was parked in the lot while clients were parked across the street

It is not bad place, but if you are spending $300/night, you would want something better. I should have spent a bit more and stayed where I stayed before. Paid around $300 per night, but I would pay $100 more and stay elsewhere. There aren't many parking space right by the motel. They have parking lot across the street.

WE liked lookig out at the birds in the bay from the window.

Very comfortable bed and located two hundred metres from a bar/restaurant where you can sit on a terrace overlooking porpoise bay, but too far to walk down an unattractive road to Sechelt itself. It also has a pleasant outdoor seating area overlooking Porpoise Bay, which is a plus since there are no other facilities at this motel. A few hundred metres from the motel is a small marsh with a trail around it, which is well worth a visit.

Although advertised as a hotel, this is a motel with no facilities other than the rooms and an outdoor seating area. The "garden" rooms overlook a parking lot. If at all possible, avoid the ground level "garden" rooms because there is zero privacy, the view is very unappealing, and therefore you will need to keep the blinds fully closed the entire time. if you can get a second floor room on the "garden" side I expect that you can see over the parking area and see trees on the other side of the road. Air conditioner was also noisy.

The staff is accomodating and friendly, the view from our room is stunning. The place is very clean

Too much noise from traffic in and out of the building. We were in the room at the end of the hall next to the entry door to the hotel. Door banging every few minutes. Floor in room could have been cleaner.

Location is great. Room was very nice, comfy beds. AC is too loud. Otherwise a nice place to stay in Seschelt.

Seemed like rooms have been renovated not too long ago, well maintained and very clean. Comfortable mattresses, and good curtain to keep street lights out at night. Location is great, right next to the very busy Lighthouse Pub, yet quiet street at night because of sac du col.

Rooms could be a bit more soundproof, but I guess it also depends on the common curtesy of fellow guests to be more considered to others and be quiet after 10pm.

The location was perfect, with a lake view. Although it was listed as an ocean view, it was actually a lake view. The property was close to good restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. It was quiet and clean, and the staff and housekeeping were very good.

The mattress and pillows were not comfortable at all. The mattress was extremely soft, and the pillows were very large, which caused back and shoulder pain after the first night. I stayed for three nights and requested smaller pillows, but no alternative options were available. For the remaining nights, I had to sleep without a pillow, which made my back pain worse. Additionally, the building has two floors and no elevator. This was fine for us, but if you have difficulty with stairs, please keep this in mind, or stay at first floor.

Hallway had a slight musty smell. Could hear people walking above & on the stairs. The overflow parking could use more lighting. There was a big dip in the pavement & I almost fell because I couldn't see it in the dark.

Bathtub plug wouldn't work and heater in the room was very loud. The sink leaked water all over the vanity if running at a slower rate.

We enjoyed walking over to the park across from the hotel. We were able to walk our dog around the pond and watch the ducks and other birds. We enjoyed having large windows where we could look out over the ocean. We were located on the first floor which made it easy to take our dog in and out.

Unfortunately there was a lot of dog poop around the outside of the hotel so you had to watch where you walked. Not the hotel’s fault, but frustrating for responsible pet owners. A damage deposit was also paid as well as a pet fee.

Staff were polite, rooms were clean and the shower was great.

The light outside was shining in the window even with the blinds.

We absolutely loved our stay! I was truly impressed by how everything here is thought out to the smallest detail — from the cozy interior touches to the amenities that make the stay incredibly comfortable. Cooking in the kitchen was a pleasure, and the jacuzzi truly made our evening perfect.

The room was clean and well-appointed, beds very comfortable. Staff at check-in/check-out very friendly and efficient. Secure overnight parking across the street (given the limited parking spaces on the grounds) was a good option.

Soundproofing on exterior-facing walls/windows was an issue. People frequently gathered out front at the far end of the building, and we could hear their conversations clearly from our second-floor room at all hours.

I appreciated the friendly, welcoming staff. Pleased to have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge in the room. Clean and updated suites. The location is in a nice, safe area close to town, right on the water and conveniently beside a marina restaurant/pub. Plenty of free parking. Very quiet at night with excellent, comfy beds! I would stay here again.

My “garden view” suite was of the parking lot, so I had my blinds closed all the time.

Motel style and close to everything we were in town for. The cleaning and maintenance staff were really friendly and helpful.

The beds and pillows were too hard. Cleaning staff did find me a softer pillow though. The hooks in the room were not attached properly to the walls.

Our room was advertised as being garden view. It faced directly onto the paved entry to the motel and bright lighting. The blind had to be fully closed all the time.

Place is clean. and ok. There is no vending machines or anything on premesis.

Look like this place is made out of carbord. You hear peoples walking at all the hours. Our room #1 is just by the main door and each time someone open it you think someone is trying to open Our door. There is a pic-nic table just outside of our windows and peoples where drinking beer and talking loud until 10PM. They souded like they where in our room because there is NO SOUND ISOLATION at all in that place

Very clean, comfortable beds, awesome shower, interesting bathroom lighting and the management help park our motorcycles. Having the pub next door was perfect and the views were amazing.

Clean property, we enjoyed our stay very much. Clean comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The location was near everything. There was a very nice nature park across the street that we visited on the way out. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the Art and Farmers Market our day the we left to go back to Vancouver! We ate at two very nice breweries while we were there! The owner and staff were family and very friendly and attentive about the parking lots and attractions nearby. We only had to park across the street once, otherwise there was enough parking in the small parking lot. Nice, clean grounds we walked that had a gazebo and BarBQ available for use. There was no elevator which was awkward for our large suitcases to go up and down, but we are strong enough to manage that but older people may need to know this. Taking the ferry was a pleasant short trip. I recommend this as a place to stay in Sechelt, B.C.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Spot. Room was clean and comfortable. Seems like the property was all renovated. Would stay there again.

The room was modern, clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The man at check in was super friendly, and communicative through the Expedia app as to confirming with me what time I would get there so that he would be available (as I was going to be later in the evening due to ferries). My only complaint is that there was a very bright light outside of our room (I believe we were room 17?). These lights were on the far left and far right sides, so they shine brightly into at least 2 of the rooms. Even with the blinds closed, it was so bright that it looks like daylight is shining in the room. I'd recommend for those two rooms, that different blinds are installed. I will definitely stay there next time I am in Sechelt :)
