Davis Bay Bed & Breakfast

Eine wirklich traumhafte Unterkunft direkt am Meer – bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von Walen begrüßt, die wir vom Ufer aus beobachten konnten! Die Lage ist so perfekt gewählt, dass man morgens aufwacht und direkt aufs Meer blickt. Unsere Gastgeberin Heidi ist eine überaus nette und gastfreundliche Frau, die uns sehr viele gute Tipps für Sechelt und Umgebung gegeben hat. Die Zimmer sind sauber, großzügig geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit Terrasse und Meerblick, dazu ein bequemes Bett und ein Ofen für gemütliche Abende. Zur Begrüßung gab es Sherry und Schokolade. 😄 Die Unterkunft ist zudem eine perfekte Ausgangslage für Ausflüge an der Sunshine Coast und die traumhaft schöne Umgebung. Das Frühstück kann man in seinem Zimmer oder gemeinsam mit Heidi eine Etage höher in ihrer Wohnung genießen, mit einem noch besseren Blick aufs Meer – wir hatten sogar das unglaubliche Glück, direkt vom Frühstückstisch aus Wale zu beobachten, ein wirklich einzigartiges Erlebnis. Und auch geschmacklich ließ das Frühstück keine Wünsche offen. Wer morgens früher los muss, bekommt von Heidi liebevoll gepackte Lunchpakete mit auf den Weg – vielen Dank dafür! In dieser Unterkunft wird man rundum umsorgt, es ist wirklich an alles gedacht. Dank Heidi und Co. hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit – absolute Empfehlung!

Easy check-in. The room was cozy and clean, with a beautiful view, and breakfast was delicious and had good options. The property was within walking distance to some good restaurants. Very charming.

The breakfast each morning was excellent truly enjoyed it and enjoyed the conversation with the other guest. Also enjoyed the fact we just had to walk across the main road to get to the beach. Great location.

We had a small room and would have liked to have one of the larger rooms on the front of the house. Better view if the bay.

Die Besitzerin ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin. Das Frühstück morgens in ihrer Küche war wohlschmeckend, gemütlich, der Blick aufs Meer wunderschön. Wir haben wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen erhalten. Ja, die Straße zwischen Haus und Strand ist tagsüber stark befahren, aber das stört nicht, man ist ohnehin unterwegs. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Alles was uitstekend, maar het enige wat ik altijd vervelend vind in hotels en b&b's is vloerbedekking. Hoeveel mensen daar met hun schoenen op lopen, dat blijft voor mij onhygiënisch.

the location is fantastic. Heidi is an incredible host. Love the breakfast and getting to visit with her while staring out at the ocean. Definitely would stay here again! oh and there is ice cream across the street.

Wir waren für 2 Nächte zu Gast und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Trotz unserer sehr späten Ankunft wurden wir freundlich begrüßt. Das Frühstück in der Küche der Gastgeberin Heidi war sehr gut und gemütlich. Vielen Dank Heidi!

Straight forward check-in procedure, and an excellent breakfast. Great value for money and an unbeatable location with proximity to several restaurants, cafes, stores, and walking trails.

Mattress was quite soft, just something to be aware of for those with bad backs like us. Place was clean but could be cleaner (noticed some dust on fans, etc.)

The host was attentive and made us feel at home. The location was central to activities in the area and across from the shore walkway. Spacious room with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the bay. We look forward to returning!

Fantastic hosts, great breakfasts ( you can choose from 4 options the day before), spacious room, across the road from the sea, and a lovely terrace. Coffee and tea facilities in the room and a fridge.

The bed is too soft for my liking, but very comfortable bed linen and lots of pillows. The house is dated, don’t expect anything modern, but that’s also part of its charm.

Bathroom hard to get into , otherwise suite was great.

Heidi, our hostess was delightful. Her breakfasts were large and wonderful and always proved to be a nice chance to socialize. Our room was lovely and comfortable.

I do think the pillows and mattress could be updated.

We loved every minute of the experience - from the home itself, the decor, to the waterfront property, it's location (we traveled the entire coast), to the hosts - their hospitality, the delicious breakfast made with love, and all the recommendations (we were able to do it all - the farmers market, the hike to the beautiful Firs, Skookumchuck Narrows, Lighthouse pub). The hostess was delightful, breakfast and coffee were excellent and the location to stay alive for. (As opposed to die for). The room was clean, well laid out and the stay was very good value. We shall return!

The location was good although lots of traffic going by. It was close to a couple nice restaurants and had a nice walking path along the beach. Breakfast was decent and the hostess was very nice who provided some good recommendations on what hikes and restaurants to visit.

We booked two queen rooms but one was significantly larger with a bigger bathroom and sitting area. Ours was so small with a tiny bathroom so we were quite disappointed. The pictures online do not match the current condition, the house is definitely older and the front area was not a nice garden as the pictures showed. It had a hole in the cement patio that was covered by a tarp.

Little cool at night but lots of blankets …so worked out fine

Onze kamer lag aan de voorkant van het huis en daardoor hoorden we het lawaai van de erg drukke straat wel heel goed.

Fijne B&B met vriendelijke host, die leuke tips over de omgeving geeft. Comfortabele kamer met terras en mooi uitzicht.

Persoonlijke touch met briefje aan de deur, de sherry die klaar stond in de gang en het zelfgemaakte ontbijt bij de host in haar keuken. Het mooie uitzicht op het strand.

Small quibble - situated on a busy road so there was some traffic noise. The good news is that it was not noticeable once inside.

Our stay at the Davis Bay B&B from Friday to Monday completely exceeded our expectations. Our host, Heidi, was incredibly sweet and welcoming, giving us tons of helpful information about the best local areas to check out. The room itself was exceptionally clean, cozy, and had a wonderful, homey feel to it. I had previously read a review mentioning that the property could be a bit loud due to being right in front of a busy road, but as a light sleeper, I wasn't bothered by the sound at all with the windows shut. The mornings were a highlight; Heidi offers a great selection of breakfast options, and getting to go upstairs to sit and chat with her in the kitchen while we ate was such a wholesome experience. Everyone else in the house was wonderful too, and her roommates were super friendly whenever we ran into them. To top it all off, Heidi was incredibly accommodating and let us check in a couple of hours early after a quick phone call, and the ample parking right in front of the house made things very convenient. We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Sechelt!

Honestly, nothing! There wasn't a single thing about our stay that I could complain about. It was a perfect weekend getaway.

The guest room was on the smaller size but it has everything we need and is very comfortable.

Breaky was so so and yogurt & cereals were outdated (past BB). Headboard was loose like not even attached to bed. No screen on sliding door. Toilet seat very loose, we tried to tighten. TV very small and not a lot of channels/options ie no ability to connect to our Netflix (need smart tv). Can hear people upstairs/toilet flushing, walking, etc…just a little pricey, expecting better.

Everything was great. The host, Heidi, was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Very clean rooms. We had the room at the back, which was great for us as it did not face the street, but we did not have the ocean view. So it's a trade-off. I would not say it is a negative, but the guest suite is a bit smaller. Just be aware! It was comfortable for us. It was GREAT value for the price.

The host was very nice and promptly answered my emails. The room was very clean and comfortable, private and quiet. I felt safe. The house and garden are lovely and the location on the waterfront stunning. I loved that there was a paved walkway for a stroll. The bus came right to the B&B and there was an excellent restaurant within a short walk.

Phenomenal experience at this BnB! The room (Deluxe Queen) was super spacious and comfortable, great patio area, very comfy bed, great coffee/tea selection, great clean bathroom. The place is directly across the road from the beach - you cannot get a better spot where you can make a drink and casually catch a stunning spot for a sunset. Heidi is an absolute phenomenal host - the breakfasts that she made were fantastic and perfect. We even had potential ferry cancellations and Heidi was very quick to accommodate a potential extra nights stay. Can't say enough positive things about this experience!

Nothing. The negative comments people have left about the place looking dated are very silly - you can see the photos online, and you can feel that the place is full of care of love.

Just personal preference in a deluxe room we would think a king bed black out blinds and able to stream to the tv the current bed is queen but has past its time we roll into the middle of it as well as on the pullout
