Location on the water. Got clean towels

Absolutely no charm, no where to put chair next to table, no amenities. Room was next to ice machine. I don't know what the laws are in Canada, but the absence of smoke detectors was concerning.

Beautiful location

There was no breakfast, that I was made aware of. If there is one then why wasn't I informed. Location was very good.

No vending machines on site.

I love that it is located conveniently around grocery, the beach! Restaurants around the place.

I am sure our room was a remodeled supply room. We paid $370.00 for a tiny room with few plug ins instead extension cords with a view of a large bush that covered the entire window. Anyone who is placed in room 103 is being overcharged. Unfortunately it is the only hotel in Sechelt

Fantastic location.

we were going to the writers festival so the location was great. the rooms had recently been renovated so they were very clean, bathroom had new shower, sink, toilet etc, the room felt a bit sparse. There was no elevator so lugging up all our gear to the second floor was hard. Next time I'll book on the ground floor and ideally in those rooms with balconies facing the water

Location and on the ocean, but trees blocking view. They should have warned us and it was very overpriced. A cheaply built building, but finished ok, but lacked comfortable seating. Bed just ok.

The front desk staff were kind!

The suite is called an ocean view but there are large trees blocking the view of the ocean. Also the building seems to still be in the process of upgrades- there was large broken furniture in our room that didn't seem reflective of the price we were paying.

Old facility with some recent upgrades. I would rate this a two-star facility, but rooms were priced like a four-star resort.

The room was very clean , especially the bathroom.

The bed and linens were hard. The so called queen beds were barely a double in size

The location was great, next to the water and close to shops and restaurants. The room appeared to have been recently updated. The bed was very comfortable.

The room wasn’t very soundproof. I could hear other people talking outside the room and doors shutting. WiFi was spotty.

The ocean view was incredible! Very close walk to everything too!

Would have loved more seating in the main area. It’s a family suite, but only two chairs other than the bed. Would have been nice to have a small couch or extra chairs.

Not as clean as could be, needs some updating

The rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfy. New owners are in the process of renovating so our bathroom was brand new whereas the rest needs some TLC. Right on the ocean so took walks on several occasions. Within walking distance of most stores and restaurants. I would stay here again

Lighting didnt work, shower curtains were rusty, shower was dirty and there was mold throughtout the bathroom.

Not cleaning

Access to the ocean was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The attached restaturant was a little pricey; however the food was outstanding and the service top flight. One small shortcoming was the size of the pillows (a litle small). All in all, an outstanding experience

The staff were amazing. The location was great for having kids and a short walk to the ocean. The room wasn’t the cleanest, little out dated. Lamps didn’t really work. The staff make up for this and it looks like they are renovating the hotel so could be upgraded sooner then later.

The property was dirty and even had used shampoo bottles opened in bathroom shower. Floors and behind nightstand had lots of dirt and dust.

Fabulous location - right on the water and walking distance to everything in town. We especially loved the lovely restaurant - Fred's attached to the motel.

The rooms are pretty basic and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The circuit in the bathroom went out when we used the blowdryer and the fridge was very noisy. It would be nice if there was some netflix, etc included with the TV as well. However, it was exactly what I expected for the price so we weren't phased.

It is right by the seawall. Great place for walking the dog. They have glass wine glasses and proper coffee mugs! Really comfortable pillows.

Very close to beach and shops

Insufficient electric sockets, dark. Wiring potentially dangerous with tangled cables behind furniture, couldn't operate microwave and have light on at same time, had to tap light in bathroom to make it work. Furniture rather worn.

The motel is under renovations, so there are a few good parts (the new bathroom) and a few old and run down parts. The ocean view from the room was very nice. Front office was very helpful.

Great space for short term stay. Enjoyed the TV and the available options. The only negative is the cleanliness, especially of the bathroom. Otherwise, very central location and easy check in and check out!

Great location and very close to shopping, food, seawall/promenade. Facilities are clean and you have enough what you need for a comfortable trip to the Sunshine Coast. Parking facilities and restaurant onsite.

Not really the hotel’s fault in any way: the exterior walls and windows are very thin and you can hear everything from the outside. On our first night, there was a family (staying a couple doors down from our room) fighting, yelling, and arguing outside from 2300 to 0230 in a seemingly drunken state. We could hear everything! The office is closed after hours, but we didn’t know there was an after-hours phone number. But like I said, we still enjoyed our stay, just unfortunate some people are highly inconsiderate of others. Still will be staying at the Sechelt Inn in the future.

Typical 2storey motel setup but very clean and had refrigerator and coffee maker plus other useful items The air conditioner worked and the TV was easy to work. The front desk person was helpful in recommending good places to eat

The dining room was not available the days I was there but this business has recently changed hands and is still in process.

Room 105 needs major work. The black mould on the window wall which was carefully concealed behind two chairs was not impressive! New pillows would also be an upgrade.

I love the location right by the water. The hotel has just been refurbished. The bathroom was done to a high standard. Excellent wifi.

In the past when the sechelt inn was under the name driftwood it was a great place, I've been coming here for 10 years on my own then Another 10+ with my family as a child. It was extremely dirty. Its never been a solid 10/10 (well the location makes it that) but in the cleanliness in the past a solid 7.5 to 8 out of 10. Yesterday it was 2 out of 10 When I walked into my room cobwebs and spills all over the walls and more. It was dirty. Black long hair all over (im blonde) and there was a foul stench. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. I can list alot more. When confronting the front counter "there was nothing they could do, or switch rooms" is what I was told. although I checked in an hour early than the normal check in time and there was empty rooms. They wouldn't switch me so the cleaners could clean properly in the room I was given. My fiancé went back to talk to them and we were offered a discount. We found it was only 20 dollars for each of the two nights we stayed which in my opinion for a place that nearly charges 200 a night is unacceptable. I already got charged the original price and now I have to go through booking for the refund. Its a joke. I was told that "they are going through a bunch of renovations and staff changes, and im not the first person to complain and wont be the last" again unacceptable and a poor excuse. Just because things are going on doesn't mean that the customers should suffer in quality. The woman at the front desk also told me this morning "I can't wait for you to see the new renovations next year!" I let her know I wont be back... Until they start taking these matters seriously as she stated im not the only one to complain I would boycott the sechelt in. Which is a disappointment as it was my favprite place to stay on the coast, and it was always dependable.
