Individual fireplace and chair set up per cabin/tent is very convenient! Tent has a fan, mini heater, lamp and an electrical outlet. Clean washroom, very cute goats.
My biggest gripe was that the tent had no zippers for the entrance at all. There is a 'lock' hung around two holes on the door flaps, and Im unsure what that was supposed to do. Many of the door flap strings was also missing. I'd probably recommend booking a cabin instead of the tent.
This is a very nice bungalow with all the amenities. Beautifully decorated. In a quiet, pleasant place. Very clean. There is also karaoke and a game console. There is a romantic fireplace outside. We really liked the lantern, which creates a wonderful diffused pattern at night, a nice highlight for evening gatherings. And there are also cute creatures, a goat and a pig, living nearby, which we were happy to feed with bananas and apples. Cute. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful time.
It was an incredibly whimsical stay that was extremely comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. The convenience of self-serve was fabulous, with several options available for purchase if needed. Honor system admired and respected.
Once we got past the entrance to the property, the the dreamers farm came alive.
Great location, cozy cabin, clean bathroom
Couldn’t access the wifi
I really appreciate what you are doing with this small family-run business. Places like this are a great idea for people who want to relax, have fun, and enjoy nature. The property is very spacious, peaceful, and in a beautiful location, especially with the golf course behind it. We enjoyed our time there and overall had a good experience. There is a lot of potential on this property, and I think with a few improvements it could become an even better camping and glamping destination.
My main concern was the washroom near the camping area. I really think a proper washroom is a must for this part of the property. The washroom near the parking/main area is much better, and having a similar proper washroom closer to the camps would make a huge difference for guests. I would also suggest cutting down and maintaining the tall grass, weeds and bushes around the pathway and camping area. Some of them are quite high. Keeping them shorter, similar to the nicely maintained grass in the main area, would make the camping area look much more beautiful, clean and welcoming. It would also make guests feel safer and more comfortable, especially at night and regarding insects or wildlife. The property has a lot of space, so after these improvements, I think there is even potential to add a few more camps in that area. These are only suggestions because I genuinely think the property has great potential, and I hope the owners will consider making these improvements over time.
HaS
Excellent
Yes
Quiet, easy access, good parking, spacious, lots of hot water. Close to tourist information and Tim Hortons.
Kitchen sparsely equipped, need tea kettle, spoons, mixing bowl, fly swatter, bath mat A beveled piece of trim from the bathroom to the living space would prevent tripping. Could have used a thorough cleaning
Great experience, nice attention to detail. Some drinks; food, firewood for reasonable prices.
Luogo quasi magico, curato nei minimi dettagli.
Everything exceeded our expectations! The property was very clean and everything felt intentional and well thought out. Communication with the host was great, especially the messages before arrival, which made everything very clear. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower, and having the animals on site was such a cute touch — especially the goats! This was our little honeymoon getaway and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back and have already recommended it to others.
Nothing negative! Just a small suggestion that some of the signs around the property could be a little clearer or more intuitive, but that’s more of a personal preference than something we disliked.
The whole place was whimsical and well cared for, with lots of details and very well explained. Very beautiful details, comfortable and peaceful. It is a place in nature; do not expect a 5-star hotel.
There is a road close by, and there was some noise coming from the cars. Something that can't be changed, but we slept very well.
The tent I stayed in is very clean and nicely decorated, the bed is comfy
It is a little walking distance from the car to the tent
Cozy, calm, relaxing!
Location was perfect for our weekend plans. Bunkie was smaller than I expected, but the bed was comfortable and AC was working like a beast! This place can use one extra bathroom/shower when fully booked. Otherwise no complaints and we would book again in the future.
Love it! Super nice environment with the animals. Amazing place for a weekend gateway and I’m definitely come back.
The location is pleasant but not that calm as it is next to the main road. The bungalows (more than the tents) are spaced out so it leave some privacy with your neighbors.
Lack of cleanness and facility maintenance were the main issues. It looks like the overall facilities are aging and lack good maintenance. Cleanness was not there either (we found hair on several "clean" towels as well as in bed sheets in the bungalow, the outdoor kitchen was not clean and equipment were not well maintained or aging). You have to share 2 bathrooms (1 indoor one, 1 very basic outdoor one) with 5+ others bungalows/tents (at least 10 people). You can hear the main road close by so it removes the charm of being in the countryside. Planting more trees could help getting more shade during the day (and even reduce noise from the road).
Concept original. J'ai passé 4 jours très agréables. Merci beaucoup.
We absolutely loved it here and wish we could stay longer ! We will be back!
That we couldn’t stay longer.
My mom and I stayed in the yurt. The bed was so exceptionally comfortable I didn’t even mind having to share it with my mom! The sheets and towels provided were super clean and smelled amazing. My mom’s comment was “how do they keep everything so white”, so well done. I loved how there was electricity in there and it was decorated really nicely. The farm animals were so cute and friendly, and the shared bathrooms were kept really clean as well.
The value for money of the stay was great. In order to make it feel more like glamping though, the outdoor kitchen needs some attention. A really good wipe-down, particularly of the coffee machine, would make a difference. Luckily Tim Horton’s is on the corner so we didn’t have to rely on it! A full-sized fridge in the kitchen for guest use would be appreciated as well. I was expecting a shared fridge and was disappointed to find out we would have to rely on a cooler during a heatwave. Another suggestion to bring the farm stay to the next level would be to put in a pool or hot tub for guest use. It’s not *that* close to Sauble (16-min drive), so it would make it feel like more of a resort, and less of just a place to sleep after a day in town.
Neat
Very nice place and well kept location. Close to Tim Hortans. Wife and daughter loved it. My daughter loved sleeping in the Tent. Beds were very comfortable.
Last minute deal, last minute decision to leave a day early for an already scheduled and paid for vacation to sauble beach. Theres not much not to like other than all bigger cabins or cabin were sold out so I had to rent a tent and a small cabin for 1 night but still great value on last min deal on bookings.com
The peaceful atmosphere.
Great AC in the rooms and comfortable beds.
Beautiful property, cute cozy bunkie, the goats and pigs were fun to feed, and the hidden garden was a great spot to read in the mornings. Well maintained property with nice fire pit! Despite being beside the golf course there was privacy and you felt secluded. The bathroom was clean and the option for an outdoor shower was really unique and cool!
We liked the experience, as we like camping. The place has a nice atmosphere and we liked having books available to read. However there is room for improvement. first of all I would not use the word glamping as that is another thing and could be very misleading. Camping is more appropriate. Also we were told that the towels would be provided, but they were not; there is a bathroom with a common basket that is supposed to have towels for everybody, but when we got there all the towels were very dirty, so that makes no sense. It would be much easier to just provide the towels in every bungalow. Or simply to tell people to bring their own towels. Also the internet wasn't working at all. not a big issue, but it would be nice to inform people that they cannot count on it. I also have to admit that the bungalow was very dirty and it's totally fine, we're camping and we're very flexible, but other people might not like that. There were a lot of spiderwebs that make me think that the place has not been cleaned in a while... Having curtains on all windows would also be useful, otherwise a lot of light comes in very early in the morning. Also the mattress is really really soft. Maybe some people like it but I found it extremely uncomfortable. Overall we really enjoyed the place and the location and the way the campsite is built but there are things that need to be fixed in order to make the experience even better

Super dejligt overnatningssted.
Really liked the owner Kat's communication beforehand. It made everything really clear. Really enjoyed our bunkie (Montgomery), it was very cosy and comfy. Big waterjug provided, a few books, a small heater. Nice, well maintained garden and comfortable, clean, shared bathroom. The communal kitchen was cute too! Great place to stay when hiking in the area. We would definitely come back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Dreamers Writing Farm. Our bunkie was cozy, peaceful, and exactly the reset we needed. Falling asleep to the sounds of frogs at night and waking up to the birds in the morning was pure magic and I honestly haven’t slept that well in ages. The beds and sheets were unbelievably comfortable and everything felt so relaxing and thoughtfully done. We loved our stay so much that we spontaneously extended for another night because we weren’t ready to leave. If you’re looking for a quiet, restorative escape in nature, I can’t recommend this spot enough.
That we have to leave 👎
Cozy clean and quiet
Had no issues everything was great
it was a nice little spot .it could have been freshened up and fridge was dirty didn't even use it ..there item there to purchase but no prices other then wood and wood we got down the road for $10 a big bag..seen the owner but she never came to say hi or check see if everything was ok...I was happy that she put a heater and couple extra blankets for us
could have more of those small fire pits instead of one big one..the helper gave us a small one ato use and it was perfect.
Stayed in studio. Has clean private bathroom, unique decorations and full kitchen with gas stove.
We enjoyed the feeling of being rural even though we were close to things. Enjoyed watching the animals.
It was cute and unique. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings were beautiful.
Better bathroom facilities. The one bathroom was great, but there was only one. I can tell they have thought about this and added a porta-potty and outdoor shower, but more indoor facilities would be better.
Everything
Nothing
The units are not bad and private somewhat
It wasn't clean. The amount of stuff found under the beds shouldn't have been aloud. When we moved to bigger room for more money the ceiling fan looked as though never cleaned and the dirt may fall off on you. The dishes had to be cleaned before use and the towels where filled with either human or animal black hairs. No toilet paper was provided for a lengthy stay. Just a 5th of a roll left from previous guest. Snow storms during our stay and although the snow got removed the ice that was beyond bad was just left making it almost impossible to come or go for most. The ice hanging from the roofs was never dealt with and more then once fell and struck me. Then just before checkout date the entire roof of ice let go and sounded like an explosion when it hit the ground. Would have definitely killed someone had it landed on them and again ignored. On check out there was a snow storm and conditions where very bad and dangerous to go out and due to the large amount of snow falling and the ice that still had not been dealt with in any attempt I got stuck with my truck and trailer. When I could not vacate by the 11 am checkout due to this the owner called the police on us in a snow storm saying we didnt leave. The police came and asked me to try and remove my vehicle and trailer as they are demanding we leave and we are not welcom inside to warm up. I ended up having to pay for a tow truck that almost didnt come in for me as the long lane was so covered in ice and snow. My vehicle and trailer got damaged to leave the property and in process the ground got a little disturbed. Little torn up grass and some drag marks from the tow. And although now damaged I had to drive away with my vehicle and trailer. Now the owner thinks I should give them 1000 cad for the marks on the lawn because I was forced out because they had family coming for a Christmas party. This is a disgusting way to treat a paying guest.
This place is filthy. I have another write up that should be read if you are considering this as a suitable stay
The location and the privacy
No complaints!
Fire
It is good that there is a Tim Hortons around the corner where you can go for breakfast. You can also use the little outdoor kitchen, which comes with a fridge, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. When I stayed there, the coffee was provided. Very quiet over night. The bathroom/toilet has been very clean.
Pet friendly, close to Sauble Beach, not too far from Tobermory.
Separate bathroom (I was aware before arriving)
Everything was great, shared bathrooms (as long as you are okay with that), get ample food supply with you, may be bottles of water as well.
Super organisiert, funktionierte alles ohne Probleme.
Adorable property. Lots of windows in the cabin. Very clean cabin and washroom. Lots of outdoor space and a big night sky.
A toaster in the outdoor kitchen would be a nice addition.
Wonderful place to stop, relax. A lot of effort was put into building a unique atmosphere. We did stay in the tent. Very cosy and comfortable.
We didn't like Booking.com not giving real pictures what to expect. I do understand this place is not for princes. We are a couple of senior
What a wonderful idea for glamping!!! A great opportunity that the owners capitalized upon! I stayed here with my girlfriend from September 26-28 and stayed in the Brand tent. This was our first ever experience glamping, but it was literally everything we could’ve needed right there — bathrooms, showers, towels, a clean tent with a lovely bed to sleep on, a heater for the nights, plus a kitchenette! All that, plus an amazing view of the stars throughout the night, an outdoor kitchenette, an opportunity to see some animals, and a fire pit. You couldn’t get this kind of experience in a hotel, and for the price it was at, certainly nothing to complain about! Thank you to Kat and the staff for making Dreamer’s Writing Farm as beautiful as it is!
Peaceful & relaxing - we will be back!!
Great location, beautiful property, very comfy and clean cabin, very friendly farm animals on property,
Location, cleanness, linen included
pillows
Convenient location
Interior was dusty cob webs and the walls were covered. Lots of hair on the sheets of the bed
Really great set up, comfortable room/bed in the Coupland bunkie. Rained quite a bit while we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the little porch as it is uncovered, but there are nice outdoor areas through the property. We really enjoyed the goats and pigs. We'd definitely stay here again.
The only thing would be it'd be nice if there were a couple coat hooks in the bunkie as there wasn't really anywhere to hangup our wet coats.
It was super clean. All instructions were provided and given for the guests to follow. The hidden garden and the lush green grass was so relaxing.
There wasnt anything to not like.
None
Everything
Location and beautiful site, lovely goats and pigs
Bed are bit small
Wow! What a beautiful property. Everything is first class, from the room to the breakfast to the lovely grounds. Congratulations to the owners for their good taste and exemplary offering.
It was super awesome! I love it! Is like a camping so people who expects been in a hotel is not their place, there is ac and heater so adapts to different weather, idk about winter but summer was amazing, you can see the stars at night
Best glamping ever.
More facilities
We stayed in a glamping tent. It was spacious clean and very comfortable. Great attention to detail. The washroom was very clean
Must visit 😝
The overall scenery was beautiful, Kitchen and washroom were beyond expectation. Room was cozy, and I loved the presence of AC
Great for what I needed.
This is being very picky but the shower head.
Very unique setup with interesting features ie the animals, the outdoor kitchen.
Our door didn’t want to close, and the screen was broken. Only flavored coffee, no regular.
• Close to things like Owen Sound, Sauble Beach, Tim Hortons, gas station etc. • Very cute/quaint & very quiet at night • Fire pit, free coffee, personal BBQ, air conditioning, indoor washroom, comfortable bed, adorable goats/pigs that you can feed! • The perfect location for stargazing (we were able to see the Milky Way for the first time!!) • The outdoor shower was lovely
• I know they supply a mini fridge in the bunkies (bungalows) in the winter time, but it would have been nice to have one during our stay in the summer (or at the very least have the ability to store a couple of things in the kitchenette fridge.) We made it work with our cooler, but since we were there for 4 nights we did have to buy 2 bags of ice per day to keep things cold • I don’t think enough bath towels were supplied for how many people were there, which was a little strange because we saw somebody collect the used towels on a daily basis •A bit of an odd smell coming from the air conditioner in our bunkie, nothing crazy, just noticeable when you walked in the door or stood right by it •The outlet by the bed did not work
Booking .com did not advertise correctly, these are all little bunkies, with a shared bathroom facilities and an outdoor shed for a kitchen, no refrigerator. They are cabins to sleep in. I went for one night and it was ok. Just expectations of something different. After I booked the owner did explain it was "glamping", but that is not really a good definition. I may rebook if I need a place to rest for a night
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay
Location was OK, bunker was cute
No towels available on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Compost toilet was not used properly by previous guest and therefore unusable for me. Two toilets for all the folks who needed them was not adequate. Kitchen facility was barely minimal.
Very nice secluded experience, the goats and pigs are a bonus!
