Sauble River Marina and Lodge Resort

Location was perfect, right on the water, we brought our own paddle boards which was perfect for early morning or evening paddles to see the sunset! Opened our door right to our dock! Location half way between the beach and sauble falls both about 2km paddle board to one way. Has access to your own bbq right out of your door, fire pits to use....great place!

We choose to stay a Sauble River Marina again for a couple of nights this trip. The room has everything you will need for your stay. Coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, TV, and a fake fireplace with heat. Good sized TV if you want to stay in and watch a movie, or play a DVD. Two arm chairs and a beautiful view of the river. One of the things we liked was sitting at the window, having our morning coffee and watching the wildlife on the river. We saw muskrats, beaver, Blue Heron, a pair of River Otters. The bunch of Mcganzer ducks were fun to watch too. There was also a curious mink to check us out. Of course the ir was a chipmunks too. They have fire pits with chairs and picnic tables. Saw a weasel across the river. There was a couple of guys fishing who caught a big salmon right in front of our window. There is a BBQ for each unit. Even a thermostat to control the temperature in your room. It's reasonably priced, and the owner's where there if we needed anything. We had a great time.

There were only two issues with our stay. The time went too fast, and we really didn't want to leave. We are planning on going there again next year. You will enjoy your stay there. The rooms are a good size and clean. Take a rod and drop a line in and try your luck. You will not be disappointed. Gord and Rhonda.

The rooms are simple and very clean. We had a ground floor room facing the river. Outstanding! Lovely seating areas to watch the wildlife on the river. We saw a beaver, muskrat, mallards, wood ducks, blue jays, geese, crows,etc. A short drive into town for food or to the beach (gorgeous). The room had a shower/bathtub combo, DVD player, live TV, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and a kettle. Free wifi. We would definitely book again!

Nice and quiet place. Kayaks and boats are included with the stay. Waterfall up the river. Close walk to the beach. Highly recommend.

I'm handicapped and the property is really not accessible. It was really difficult for me to get back and forth with my walker. The property is really beautiful. It's right on the water.

This place needs some love: more comfortable bed, night stand where it should be, extra countertop, etc. Despite these we’ll definitely return for many amazing reasons but will be more logistically prepared! Thanks to Charlene and family for the warm hospitality!

Location..about 10mins walk to Sauble Beach, very convenient. Staff are friendly however we were not so comfortable on our stay. The a/c was just a portable a/c and was not enough to make the whole room cool. It was warm in the bedroom coz the a/c was in the living room.Also the room smelled of urine. When we first got in the room, I thought it was just a funny smell probably from some cleaning chemicals. However when we got back after some time we're out for a swim, it was clearly urine smell. It wasn't coming from the bathroom as bathroom was clean. The office was already closed so we got nowhere to complaint. The following day I told one of the staff about it. I was told the family who occupied the room prior us has small kids so maybe they made a mess. There was no resolution offered so I just asked for a disinfectant spray, it may help. I was then given an air freshner spray, that's all they had. We then had to endure the smell for another night. On our 3rd day which is our check out day, I spoke to the lady who checked us in, she was aware of my concerns but instead of apologising, she told me there were no kids prior us, and she can't believe the room smells. As for the a/c she thought we closed the bedroom door that's why we felt warm in the bedroom. Well we didnt close the bedroom door but it was still warm and uncomfortable. It would have been nice if there was at least an apology. But we didnt receive any.We stayed at Evergreen room.

Just a beautiful spot. Waking up to the river flowing by, morning wild life doing its thing. It was a peaceful stay. Staff was great and very helpful. We will return!

Not really a problem, but could use a few more food options in the area. A few utensils in the room would not hurt!

Was a great stay our family enjoyed the use of the free water toys such as paddle boats paddleboards....the dock for swimming in the river...the patio soace and firepit was great...and watching the wildlife on the river daily. Was close to beaches ect.

Beautiful spot for relaxing, fishing...the beach is a short walk away, and there is a nice little grocery store 1 minute walk down the road

Climbing steps! My wife has a bad back but did manage!

The outdoors and the view were incredible, we loved it watching the ducks and birds. Bbq was great outdoor seating was amazing. The room was as comfortable bed was clean, the bathroom could do with an upgrade!

The facility was very beautiful and picturesque. The view was stunning. It was quiet and relaxing and close to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the staff was really good taking care of our needs.

We would have prefered to have dishes and cutlery available but that was ok. We managed. Next time we'll bring some with us.

We would have liked to see a Tesla charger closer than 30+ minutes away and were sad to know that pets are not welcome. We would have loved to make this a regular family destination but we will definitely visit again as a couple.

The property is situated in a beautiful prime location they have all sprt of facilities, you just name it. Beach is very close a quick 5 to 6 minutes walk. Every one working jn the property allways carry a smile in their face. Overall value for money. Hope to visit again.

Needed a bowl or pot to use microwave

We appreciated the locale, on the shore of a river filled with wildlife. We saw mink, beaver, various water birds, an eagle, and so on. The room was clean but a bit challenging for us, with one step up to the sink, another to the toilet. The tub has no grab-bars, the "Betty Crocker" drip coffee pot was hard to manage. Given the modest cost, we would certainly recommend it to other visitors.

The stay included my sister and myself for a little getaway. The rooms all face the river where you see all kinds of birds and their babies swimming by alongside small boats. There was an adorable river otter that came up on land a few times to shake off. Fire pits and BBQs are available as well as paddleboats, kayaks, and more. You can literally step out of your room and drop a line in the water to do some fishing. Sauble Beach is just a walk away. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to feel welcomed. We didn't want to leave.

The only thing I didn't like was that the otter didn't hang around long enough to get a picture.

Nice cozy place

I liked that our room was on the waterside and close to the river. The bed was comfortable.

The place provided a BBQ but the utensils were locked up according to staff and unavailable. There was a step-up in the room to the sink area and it was covered by the same carpet as the rest of the room (there was a further step-up to the bathroom). Both my wife and I tripped on this unmarked step and placed a towel on the rise.

Rooms are nothing fancy but clean, safe and beautiful area. Owner is very accommodating. Will go again.

Super easy check in and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and had an amazing view of the river. We spent a lot of time relaxing and watching the geese, swans and even an otter in the river. Great place highly recommend!

My husband and I loved the property, because it was right on the lake. We loved looking out the window, while it was raining and watching the rain fall on the water, it was wonderful, beautiful, peaceful and romantic to look at; you have to be there to enjoy the moment. And watching the sunset off the water, it was also beautiful. The property have lots of sitting areas with fire pits and BBQ grills. And for this time of year, it was quite. The price was affordable and our room had everything in it. We went for our 6th wedding anniversary and we loved our weekend getaway.

Nothing, I can’t think or find anything negative thing to say about this property.

This is a nice place next to the river.

Sparse outdated furniture and bedding. Room could use coffee table.
