Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Very sweet staff, clean and comfy hotel. The location is close to the heart of the city with many good spots close by. But it can also be crowded/high traffic, although the rooms are very quiet.

The lobby is small aa compared to what one would expect of a 5 star hotel. The entry is also a bit cramped. But that's a compromise om account of the location

Room size was small. As I was travelling with family, it was not fit for a couple with kids.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The property ran out of power several times, we were given an extra bed with a metal coming out and sheets that were crumpled and smelt bad. During our stay the flush on one of the toilets also stopped working.
The check in was very unfriendly. My elderly parents were at risk as they were in the bathroom when the power went out and there was no back up during the power outage for 5-10 mins. I paid a premium so that we could have a safe and comfortable stay but the service level was worse than a two-star

We had several good meals at Mynt, including the complimentary breakfast, of which special mention must be made of the parathas. We found the staff throughout uniformly attentive. The rooms had everything one could desire.

We got off to a Rocky start when we arrived. We had booked 4 rooms, but got push-back from reception at every point - no welcome drink after an 8 hour cross country journey ( which we later learned was customary), our request for rooms on the same floor denied (and then acceded), slow, uncooperative service at reception which we do not expect at a Taj property. That was disappointing. Things did improve later. I realize this is a new property, but the staff at reception definitely need more training.

Where do you start. When you book a Taj there are certain standards that you expect. Understand it's a city hotel, however unnecessarily having a separate sofa room made the suite feel very cramped, and the colour theme of the room gave a dark vibe. The staff was very courteous at room service, however the restaurant staff were not able to manage and some were practically in a bad mood I think so. Getting tables would like take for ages. When we book any taj property across India, it's a different hospitality and warmth which was missing here. It was very transactional. Therefore disappointing.
