The flexibility of the staff!

There was a washing machine (but nowhere to hang you your wet clothes). I tried asking the owner but got no response until the day before we left. The kitchen was almost fully stocked (we were missing a coffee cup so had to make due). It was loose to the old town, however you have to get past people shooting up on the benches. It is in china town and close to a metro stop.

The host was responsive up until we checked in. Then, nothing. The apartment wasn't very clean and there was other people's hair in the bathroom and on our kitchen table. There is sofa or place to relax, so you can either sit on the bed or at the kitchen table The kitchen table is chipped and dented, it has seen better days, not a nice place to sit at. The building is full of air bnb's with no on site support. The common areas are stained and dirty and smell like mothballs.. I won't stay here on my next trip to Montreal.

There are also plenty of convenient dining options nearby. 2）Great Layout: I personally really liked the spatial design and overall layout of the apartment; it felt very comfortable. 3）Well-Equipped: The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and cooking equipment. The laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are in great condition, and providing laundry detergent was a thoughtful touch. 4）Responsive Host/Service: Although it is a self check-in property, they provide a great communication platform. Whenever we had any questions or issues, we could easily provide feedback, and they addressed them immediately.

Additionally, the cleanliness could be improved, as there were some crumbs left under the carpet. 3） Bathroom Door Issue: Oddly, the bathroom door is missing a handle, which makes opening and closing it quite difficult.

1. 入住第一天晚上發現問題, 無法取消後面5天的住宿（不是一般旅館的流程）,但環境實在太差, 所以第二天直接搬家,再預訂其他住宿（寧願花兩倍住宿價格, 也不想再住在這家飯店的如此差）. 2.地毯很髒且翹起, 小孩走路會被絆倒跌倒, 地板漏水發霉 3.洗澡的浴缸出入方向很危險, 塞在浴缸跟馬桶水箱的中間夾縫. 4. 每次馬桶水箱只要沖水就無法再次蓄水. 5.床不是網站上面所說的加大雙人床, 是一般的雙人床（欺騙消費者） 6. 反應了上面1-5點的問題, 也無法取消後面的住宿.

L appartement etait propre spacieux et confortable

’établissement bénéficie d’un excellent emplacement en hyper-centre de Montréal, idéal pour découvrir la ville à pied. Malgré cette situation centrale, l’appartement était calme, spacieux et équipé avec du mobilier et des installations récents. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour agréable grâce à l’emplacement, au calme et à l’espace de l’appartement, mais quelques améliorations sur les équipements et l’occultation des fenêtres rendraient l’expérience nettement meilleure.

En revanche, il manque certains équipements pourtant basiques pour un appartement : à notre arrivée, il n’y avait notamment ni casseroles ni verres. Nous avons dû les demander par messagerie, puisqu’il n’y a pas de personnel présent sur place. Autre point négatif : notre chambre avait un vis-à-vis important avec la place située juste en face. Les rideaux ne permettent pas non plus d’obtenir une obscurité complète, ce qui peut être gênant pour dormir.

The place was very close to the Metro station which easily took us everywhere we wanted to go. It was also easy walking distance to downtown and Old Montreal sites. The common area gave us nice flexibility for our group (3 couples) to visit at leisure.

False advertising and terrible communications. We booked the 3 bedroom/3 bath apartment. Alhtough Booking.com showed 3 shower icons, there is actually only 2.5 baths: 2 showers/baths and 3 toilets/sinks. The place was clean, but missing basic things (hair dryer, hand/shower soap, kitchen towel) or things didn't work (clothes dryer). Reception supplied the missing items upon request, but why should I have to call for these basics? Our confirmation message said that we would receive check-in instructions 24 hours ahead of check-in time; however, they refused to actually provide instructions until 10:00am on the day of check-in despite several requests, and copying the confirmation message to them, starting at the 24 hour mark. We were a group of 3 couples, all traveling that day from differnt parts of the continent, to meet up at the apartment. I had read reviews that check-in instructions could be confusing and I wanted to ensure that no one would have any issues entering the apartment for a Sunday evening check-in (there is no reception desk). However, they just refused to provide instructions timely and could not provide a reason for the denial. Finally, the manager said that they had changed their policy - without any prior notification! This made for a needless stressful start to our trip.

Pas de réception, porte d’entrée avec système fermeture « très ancien » à tourner et à code. pas rassurant : la porte restait ouverte si vous oubliez de tourner le loquet… un centre accueil de sdf à côté.. il manquait beaucoup de choses / ustensiles dans la cuisine et il faut venir avec ses produits d’entretien /éponges… car 0 ! Chaises en velours tachées + tissu du canapé sale. Pour info, la femme de ménage ne passe pas durant votre séjour. Pas de possibilité de garder les valises après le Check out puisque pas de réception.

They didn’t send me the entry code, so I had to call them when I arrived at the property. We weren’t sure if the beds were clean, and we even saw tiny ants on the bed. Also, the couch was very dirty. Overall, the cleanliness could be have been better.

This is listed as a two bedroom and when we arrived there was only only separate bedroom. I had called about this as well to booking.com and it was not resolved before we arrived. Very misleading

We enjoyed our stay at Bakan. The room was spacious, bright, modern, and very clean — genuinely inviting and comfortable. The location is excellent, right in downtown Montréal with cafés, great food, and everything the city offers just minutes away on foot.

We did have two nights where our sleep was interrupted by very loud music from the neighboring apartment around 4–5 AM. We reached out to the office, and security was sent each time to address the issue, which we appreciated. The team was responsive and even offered us an extra hour for checkout, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated.

Probabilmente si poteva pulire meglio. Al nostro arrivo la camera non era ancora pronta (16,30) ma ne abbiamo approfittato per fare una veloce passeggiata. Non c'erano i prodotti della doccia e il bagno non era pulitissimo. Oltre questo però non ho niente da segnalare!

Espaiós en totes les estances ( habitacions, lavabos, cuina i menjador), tot l’aparrament està nou, inclos electrodomèstics i estris cuina. Tanbe roba de llit i tovalloles. Centric. Llits molts cómodes.

No ho habia sabó, ni xampú a les dutxes. Faltaven tovalloles grans per la dutxa. Sofa llit te un matalàs molt gastat. Portà d’accès al edifici no funcionava bé i vem tenir que està esperant al carrer 3 vegades, fins que algú de un altre apartament ens obris per dintre.

Największym atutem tego apartamentu jest lokalizacja. Przy samym wejściu do Chinatown w Montrealu i 10 min spacerem do starego miasta. Łózka dość wygodne i również rozkładana sofa znacznie lepsza niż w wielu innych podobnych apartamentach. Daję dodatkowy plus za możliwosc pozostawienia bagażu w schowku gospodarczym po wymeldowaniu i przed wyjazdem na lotnisko.

Cena nie jest adekwatna do jakosci. Apartament jest niby odswieżony w stylu loftowym, łazienki są czyste ale posprzątany był tylko ogólnie. Podłoga lepka, po jakimś wycieku chyba z lodówki wcześniej bo panele podłogowe wybrzuszone. Sporo kurzu na lodowce i w miejscach mniej dostepnych. Brak jakichkolwiek środków kosmetycznch w dozownikach w łazience. Po zgłoszeniu dostałem odpowiedź, że nastepnego dnia ktoś uzupełni, oczywiście nikt się nie pojawił. Nie czuliśmy sie zbyt komfortowo gdyż najbliższa okolica jest faktycznie pełna bezdomnych.

Die Unterkunft ist geräumig, modern, hell und entspricht genau den Bildern. Bis auf etwas Staub war die Wohnung total sauber. Wir haben super geschlafen! Die Lage ist mit einem kurzen Fußweg in die Altstadt perfekt und entgegen der anderen Bewertungen haben wir uns nicht unsicher gefühlt. Außerdem war die Kommunikation sehr nett und vor allem immer schnell.

Dass Bettzeug besteht aus einzelnen Laken, sodass die Decke nicht eingehüllt ist.

In bel espace et une décoration contemporaine et son emplacement central.

Le manque d’entretien. Chaises tachées, table à repasser dangereuse car bancale, fer à repasser abîmé, manque de Clim dans la chambre et murs plein de traces noirs et le sèche-linge cassé. Merci à la personne du ménage de nous avoir dépanner. Il est écrit qu’il y a un concierge tout le temps et il n’y a personne.

I like firm mattress, but this was a little too hard, a little maintenance could be done to the sliding doors and a few hand towels and tea towels would've been nice.

It was fantastic for our convention plans. Spacious and comfortable and clean. While we didnt see much staff; the ones we did see were polite and very accomodating and very helpful. Will stay again next year!

The location was outstanding! 10 minute walk to the river or to the main historic shopping and dining area and also to a major shoppng mall. A major subway station was across the street and parking was across the alley. The air conditioning worked very well, wifi was excellent and the bed was comfortable. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had a working hot pot, nespresso, microwave and refrigerator. We didn't use the stove or oven, but we did use the dryer after getting soaked on a walking tour! The staff communicated clearly and well through the app, although we never met anyone.

Minor inconvenience-we could have used more towels for both bathroom and kitchen, and more soap. I forgot to bring washcloths.

It’s in a great location close to public transit (orange and green lines) if you’re avoiding paying for a car or did not drive to Montréal. The location is walkable to many places too! There’s some clear homelessness presence in the area but for the price and location it’s hard to beat. The accommodations were passably clean except under the beds and one of the shower knobs fell off as it wasn’t attached with the set screw but all in all a nice place to stay with good AC.

No staff on site at the reception, key pad was not working properly and it took two days to get the keys as an alternative option. No instructions related to how to dispose trash and in addition, People shouting in the middle of the night and doing drugs right under the unit’s window was not pleasant. It was also not safe walking in and out due to this.

Great location and comfortable bed, this is apartment style and it is equipped with small kitchen, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. it would be good for a longer stay. There’s an open parking lot right next to the building, which is really good. It’s close to Chinatown, and few minutes walk to Old Port, Notre Dame etc.

It’s hard to find the entrance and there’s no dedicated space to park your car to unload your luggage easily. The main entrance is right on the street(though not busy) you have to be really mindful. There’s a cigarette and other strange smell around 3am that woke me up, and it really bothered me since I have my daughter with me. There’s no reception or anyone to complaint. You only communicate via the booking app.

It was much better than I expected after I read reviews. I had two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was very quiet, the flat had all facilities, and as soon as i needed anything, the staff would deliver that in minutes, I communicated by Booking chat. It was a great place, I loved it!

Instructions how to get in could have been better! Curtains could be blackout. It was too bright in the mornings even though they had shutters.

Appartement pas très propre quand je suis arrivé (cheveux et poils dans la salle de bain par exemple). Ils ont envoyé quelqu'un le lendemain matin. Apparement qui a mal vieilli, meubles cassés, trous dans les murs. Bruit de soufflerie dans l'appartement, une énorme machine "double flux" dans la chambre. Je les ai contacté, ils ont répondu que ça allait s'arrêter mais ça n'a pas été le cas. Finalement, j'ai coupé les plombs pour pouvoir dormir. Sans abris et drogués autour de l'établissement, ils crient la nuit, et ne donnent pas un sentiment de sécurité. On me parlait directement en anglais, alors qu'on est au Québec. LEs messages sont très inégaux, parfois désagréable et mal écrit, parfois plus agréable avec une orthographe correcte quand ils utilisent l'IA (qui produit alors de longs messages inutiles).

Sehr zentrale Lage. In Montreal. Es war etwas sauberer als manche Bewertungen beschreiben. Die Betten waren groß und bequem.

Ausreichend sauber war die Unterkunft leider nicht. Es gab viel Staub. Und die Fenster waren von außen recht schmutzig. Wie haben uns nicht an den Esstisch gesetzt, da die Glasplatte auf den Gestell sehr gewackelt hat. Das war sehr gefährlich. Auch andere Dinge, wie das Thermostat der Dusche waren defekt. Einen ernstzunehmenden Hausmeister gibt es wohl nicht.

It was a great location and had everything we needed. We had an issue with a leak during our stay and they were completely on top of it and had everything resolved very quickly.

It wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped it would be (not dirty but could’ve used a vacuum). It is advertised as a 2 bedroom but it’s really 1 bedroom with a bed in the living area.

Very bad experience. I booked Bakan Quartier des Congres in Montreal from June 27 to June 30, and when we arrived around 10:00 PM, there was no staff, no representative, and no clear check-in instructions. We did not even know exactly where to go. The place also looked very dirty, scary, and uncomfortable. It honestly felt like something from a horror movie, not a proper hotel where guests should feel safe and welcomed. We tried calling the phone number provided many times, but nobody answered. We waited for more than an hour late at night, confused and stranded, with no support at all. Because of this, we had no choice but to book another hotel at the last minute around 11:00 PM, which cost us much more money. Instead of taking responsibility, they later asked why we did not text them, even though we were calling the number they provided and no one responded. I also tried calling again afterward to follow up, but still had no luck. They failed to provide the accommodation and service we paid for, caused us stress and extra expenses, and they still have not refunded my money. This was unacceptable and very unprofessional. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

**Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel** Our stay at this hotel completely ruined our vacation. From the moment we arrived on Wednesday night, we encountered one problem after another. The bed sheets had human hair on them (see pictures), which is a serious hygiene and health concern. The room was advertised as having a queen-size bed, but the bed was clearly smaller than a standard queen. The bathroom was unsafe because the shower leaked water all over the floor, creating a serious slipping hazard. To make matters worse, the air conditioning did not work at all. The room became unbearably hot, and I actually had to go out and buy fans just so we could sleep. I have never experienced anything like this at any hotel. The next morning, I reported every issue to the front desk. Surprisingly, no one offered to move us to another room. A maintenance employee came to inspect the room but fixed absolutely nothing. He promised to return with a replacement part for the shower, but he never came back. He also assured us that the air conditioning would start working, but it never did. What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of customer service. The hotel staff ignored our complaints and made no effort to resolve the problems or make our stay comfortable. After our stay, I requested a full refund because the hotel failed to provide even the basic standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. My request was completely ignored. The hotel did not even have the courtesy to tell me whether my request had been approved or rejected. Instead, I had to contact Booking.com and ask them to follow up with the hotel just to find out the status of my refund request. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Paying guests deserve clean, safe, and functional accommodations. Instead, we received a dirty room, broken facilities, unbearable heat, and a staff that showed no concern for its guests. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. My vacation was ruined.

L’état général des lieux laisse sérieusement à désirer. L’appartement n’était pas propre (table collante, meubles tachés, surfaces et murs sales, moisissures apparentes dans la salle de bain), la connexion wifi était inégale et certaines installations étaient abimées ou défectueuses. On promet un séjour luxueux. C’est très très loin du compte. À éviter.

There was no breakfast. The property was in a central location, however to many bums hanging around during the day and in the evening that made it more creepy. The room was good and spacious and clean but needs a serious update, windows frames damaged. The communication was via WhatsApp and the manager was very helpful, let us in before time so we could leave our luggage and even though we could not have a late check out he made arrangements to keep our luggage in a safe place until we departed for the airport. He was very kind. All entries were by code that worked very well

The people hanging around the property that looked at times creepy and the fact that the sliding doors were jammed and were very difficult to open and close and the window frames were very damaged. A serious update to fix those is needed.

No one was there to check in. We could not get the door open. When a manager arrived, he had to smack it with a hammer several times. Inside, the hideaway couch sheets had hair from the last person who slept there. The manager told me everything is fine, no problem. We needed a different room because this was a fire hazard and unclean. Two hours after check in time, they moved us to a different room and refused any compensation for this one night of our three night stay, claiming it was an "upgrade." Same number of beds, same one bathroom, same kitchenette, same tired building and same tired elevator. It was not an upgrade and we will not stay here again

coffee machine didn't work, no hand soap, no paper towels, and very limited kitchenware

The location to the convention centre was a happy surprise! It was comfortable for three friends to share and have their own space.

The room was clean and spacious, and fully fitted out with all facilities I needed, and more.

la ubicacion es muy buena, cerca del metro, El departamento limpio, amplio. contaba con toallas, útiles de aseo. En general muy buen lugar. Lo recomiendo

Location close to the convention centre, quick response from host, washing machine

No laundry or kitchen supplies (except dishwasher pods) but most were received when requested. Only 2 mugs. Bit noisy in the room (air duct system). Very thin and small towels. No recycling.

L’appartement, son accès près du centre, les lits, la salle de bain.

Chauffe-eau et grille pain pas nettoyés, miettes sous la table et dans le frigo congélateur. il manquait des verres à vin, des poêles griffées, chasse d’eau des toilettes fonctionnant 1x sur 2. Manquait la télécommande de la télé. La possibilité de n’ouvrir qu’un petit carreau dans la chambre et rien dans le salon nous ont dérangés. Personne au bureau aux heures indiquées.

Die Lage direkt neben dem Kongress Zentrum war super.

Die Sauberkeit ist mangelhaft die Fenster waren stark verschmutzt. Die Möbel vielen teilweise auseinander. Der Innenraum war jedoch relativ sauber.

Trés bien situé, proche de station de métro, du palais des congrés et de superettes pour le ravitaillement. Trés bien équipé, notamment avec la machine à laver, le sèche linge, le four, le micro-onde, etc...

L'insonorisation un peu légère de l'appartement qui fait que l'on entends les bruits du couloir
