El hotelito era muy bonito, pero si que creemos que la zona de la piscina y la piscina en sí podrían estar un poco más limpio. El desayuno muy rico. El staff correcto, tampoco demasiado amables la verdad. La excepción fue Luis que si que fue suuuuuuuper amable con nosotros y dio muy buenas recomendaciones. ¡Gracias Luis!

My stay at Raíz was outstanding from start to finish. The entire property has such a beautiful organic, nature-inspired atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind. The aesthetic is thoughtfully designed and feels peaceful, unique, and connected to the surroundings. What really made this place special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, always making us feel at home. They were happy to recommend local restaurants and activities, and every interaction felt personal rather than transactional. A special thank you to Luis and Sebastian, who were always so friendly, bubbly, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. The women on the team were just as sweet and welcoming. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. The quality was excellent, especially considering it’s included with your stay. There’s a wonderful breakfast bar with teas, coffee, wellness shots, fresh fruit, and bread, along with delicious made-to-order egg dishes. I also loved the welcome drink upon arrival—it was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the rest of our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay with incredible hospitality, beautiful design, and great food, I can’t recommend Raíz enough. I would absolutely stay here again.

El ambiente del hotel era muy especial e invitaba a la relajación y a la conexión con la naturaleza. Los servicios incluidos como el desayuno y las clases de yoga eran increíbles. La comida y los cócteles espectaculares! La pasta al pesto con camarones no tiene nada que envidiar a los mejores restaurantes de alta cocina. Lo mejor del hotel fue el servicio. Todos los trabajadores eran muy amables, cercanos y profesionales. No te sentías como un cliente sino como un invitado en el lugar. Muchas gracias a todos los trabajadores con los que interactuamos: Sebas, Luis, Jacobo, entre otros. Han hecho que nuestra estancia haya sido de 10.

El área de La Punta es en ocasiones un poco sucia, pero eso no tiene nada que ver con el hotel en el que nos quedamos. Realmente nos gustó todo. Fue increíble y no vemos la hora de regresar.

La habitación no estaba limpia, tenía arena por todas partes.

El personal fue bastante amable y la ubicación es bastante céntrica en Punta Zicatela, cerca de la playa y la avenida para tomar transporte público.

Falta mantenimiento en las instalaciones, algunas tablas de los escalones estaban sueltas

El hotel es pequeñito pero muy bonito. No esta en la calle principal pero en 10 min caminando llegas a todo. Hay clase de yoga por la mañana

Pese a que a partir de las 22h debe haber silencio, a las 00:30 habia gente aun en la piscina hablando alto y haciendo ruido. Te dicen que incluye desayuno pero casi todas las opciones son de pago y los trozos de tostada que dan son enanos. En la habitacion habia hormigas en la mesa del escrito y en un lateral de la cama.

El hotel es muy lindo y la ubicación es perfecta! Muy cerca de la playa y de la calle principal. Además el personal es muy amable!

Tal vez que en el menú de desayunos se incluyera una o dos más opciones incluidas, pero de ahí en fuera, todo perfecto!

La ubicación (la lado de la playa, de un chiringuito y también al lado del paseo donde están las tiendas, restaurantes, etc. Y que tuvimos una clase de yoga gratis con una profe majísima.

Todo estuvo muy bien, solo avisar de que si bajáis a la piscina, es importante ponerse algo para las picaduras por si acaso. Pero todo genial.

El complejo es muy bonito y moderno. El personal es muy amable, mucho más que en otros alojamientos.

Llegamos y nos dieron una habitación qué tenía en la cama bichos. Al día siguiente, nos cambiaron a una suite impresionante estábamos muy cómodos hasta que por la noche aparecieron 4 cucarachas y nos quitaron la paz.

Such a gorgeous hotel! The room and common areas were lovely, with a great tropical feel. Breakfast was amazing! And the staff were very friendly, always happy to help. It is close to everything you need, shops, restaurants and the beach but still in a quiet area. 100% recommend for a stay in La Punta!

We loved the staff and the location. The staff were so friendly and always willing to help us out with anything. Nearby to all the restaurants and bars without being right in the middle of it. Love the decor of the hotel and the cleanliness of the rooms. It was nice that they had a pool. Beds very comfortable and the AC was excellent. Breakfasts were delicious. Welcome drink was a nice touch and it was so good.

The King bungalow is small, which isn't normally a problem but the issue is that there is no surface or space to put your suitcase or clothes. Suggestion: the hotel provide 2 suitcase stands per room and bedside tables, since there are no shelves really or drawers. It would be fine for 2 days but we were there for a week. There is no real seating around the pool so a comfy chair or 2 would help. Breakfast is "included" but the choices are very limited and you have to pay extra for other choices and only get one coffee included, which was again, only good for a short stay.

LA FALTA DE CLARIDAD DE SU INFORMACIÓN

El hotel es bonito, aunque en fotos parece mucho más grande.

Pues no nos gustaron varias cosas: 1. Nos parece muy caro para lo que es. Nos ha costado la noche casi 400 euros. 2. En el desayuno hay 9 opciones en carta y solo 4 sin coste adicional. Si te coges por ejemplo una de tortilla con verdura y queso, no te pueden poner al lado un poco de fruta. Son muy poco flexibles. Además tienes que escoger entre te/café o zumo. Además si pides dos cafés, también tiene un coste extra. Es increíble que un hotel de 400 euros tenga un desayuno así. 3. La habitación tiene una silla con moho. Preguntamos para cambiarnos de habitación y nos pusieron una habitación con una silla del desayuno porque decían que todas tenían moho. La habitación no tiene amenities. 4. La parte de la piscina, no tiene ni si quiera una tumbona para darse un baño y sentarse.

I loved my stay at Raiz Hotel Boutique! The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was AMAZING, it was quiet but centrally located at La Punta - just a few minute walk from the beach, and fun restaurants and cafes. The vibe was chill - and everyone was lovely. I'd definitely stay again.

There was a weird situation with the water in the shower - and I think they need to provide more towels or fix the water so it doesn't leak everywhere in the bathroom.

El acceso es por una calle no pavimentada llena de heces fecales y perros errantes. Algunos son muy agresivos y uno hasta casi me mordió.

Unterkunft ist perfekt! Frühstück sehr lecker, aber dafür genug Zeit einplanen.

Einzig die Empfehlung für die Taxifahrt nach Zipolite war völlig überteuert und die preisgünstige Alternative mit Publicbus wurde nicht angeboten. Anders als unsere nächste Unterkunft in Zipolite, die ein Taxi zum halben Preis und den Bus empfahlen, was wir dann nutzten.

J’ai choisi l’hôtel initialement pour son design et je n’ai pas été déçue par l’inclusion dans la verdure, la fraîcheur à l’ombre. Et ma grande surprise a été la gentillesse du personnel d’accueil, au service et bar. Tellement chaleureux et souriants, un vrai bonheur ! En prime, cocktail de bienvenue et cours de yoga gratuit tous les matins ! Très bon petit déjeuner aussi Hôtel juste à côté de la rue la plus animée sans en subir le bruit.

Hôtel dans le sable, donc un peu de sable à venir dans les chambres c’est évident.

Poca variedad en cocina sin gluten

The Guacamole is fine but the food is unnecessarily expensive

It's quite isolated. The beach is a 10-minute walk, but the center of Puerto Escondido is only reachable by a 50-minute walk along the beach or by expensive taxi. A few nearby restaurants, but not many. The roads are dirt tracks full of holes — difficult and unsafe if you have any mobility issues. The place feels neglected. Lobby pillows were dirty, parasols broken, and thatched roofs falling apart. The common area has a sand floor with sand fleas biting your legs — not pleasant for relaxing. The pool is small, only really usable for 1–2 people. The overall atmosphere feels worn and closed off. Service: Check-in was friendly and included a welcome drink — though we had to ask for it. Next to standard breakfast we ordered guacamole with homemade tacos (delicious). Free yoga is advertised, but only at 8:00 am — and the instructor leaves early since no one shows up at 8 o'clock. Feels like a box-checking offer rather than a real amenity. Breakfast: Just okay. Only one drink included (juice or coffee). Extra drinks cost a lot more, which feels stingy given the room rates and doesn’t make you feel welcome. Rooms: Simple but comfortable. Strange design: sliding roomdoors are misaligned and part of the doorframe was cut out to allow the key to fit. Functional, but awkward and clearly a poor fix. Service: We booked 5 nights but chose to leave early due to the overall discomfort. We tried to reach a fair compromise with the hotel but were met with zero flexibility and cold, unkind service from the owner. Luckily, Booking.com stepped in and helped us resolve the issue more than fairly after trying it by ourselves, special thanks to Booking! We’ve booked many of hotels all over the world — Japan, Russia, Taiwan, Italy, Norway, Indonesia, USA, Canada, Brazil, Senegal, Uruguay, and many more — and never shortened a stay until now. The hotel is NOT in Puerto Escondido > Tip, watch Google Streetview and you will know it all...

Fue una grata experiencia podernos hospedar en este lugar ; el personal es demasiado amable y gentil siempre tienen la mejor actitud para atenderte; Luis uno de los chicos del staff estuvo súper atento con nosotras dándonos tips y recomendaciones para nuestra estancia , la comida nos gustó mucho y sin pensarlo regresaríamos al lugar

We loved this hotel. It is so cute, lush, and tropical. The rooms are simple but beautifully designed. The daily breakfast was amazing—fresh bread and homemade jams, fresh fruit juice made to order. The menu is simple but everything is so good. You have to try the coconut shrimp tacos and the parmesan fries. It’s just a two-minute walk to Zicatela Beach. The staff were exceptional. On our last day, we had called a taxi. The car that arrived was from the right company, but it wasn’t the driver we had booked. When we asked him if he was the driver we had called, he said yes—but he actually wasn’t. I suspect he realized we were expecting someone else and was just trying to get a fare. The front desk concierge, a lovely girl, quickly noticed the mix-up. She first asked the driver if he could take someone to the beach, then checked with us about whether we had called a cab, and finally said, “I don’t think this is your driver.” Thanks to her intervention, other guests ended up taking that cab, and a few minutes later, the correct driver arrived. We were very grateful for her attentiveness—it made our departure smooth and stress-free. I would definitely feel safe solo at this hotel. We highly recommend this place and would stay again, if nothing more than just for the lovely staff. Unfortunately, we don’t remember everyone’s names, but big shout-outs to Sebastian, who had the best energy, to Mar, who cooked lovely food for us every day and of course the lovely concierge!

Todo. Las personas que trabajan allí, todas, son increíbles, maravillosas se les nota que disfrutan. Los de la cocina lo hacen brutal. Os recomiendo probar la carta si o si. Los desayunos están riquísimos y los cócteles… son brutales Luego la decoración tanto de las zonas comunes y de las habitaciones es preciosa simple y acogedora. La piscina es perfecta ya que vienes acalorado de la calle y refresca que da gusto. La localización es ideal fuera del jaleo y andando a 5 min tienes de todo, de hecho la playa más cerca suele estar menos llena y menos ruido. Si andáis y queréis jaleo a 10 min hay bares con música en la playa. Si volvemos, volveremos aquí sin duda

Le personnel est très sympathique, accueillant et toujours réactif, ce qui rend l’expérience vraiment agréable. L’établissement est idéalement situé : un peu à l’écart du centre-ville, ce qui permet de profiter du calme, tout en étant à seulement 5 minutes à pied des restaurants et des boutiques. La piscine est très agréable et parfaite pour se détendre. Mention spéciale également pour les prestations de massage : un vrai moment de bien-être, avec un service de grande qualité.

Le petit déjeuner est bon, mais la formule est un peu limitée. Elle inclut une boisson chaude et un plat au choix parmi quatre, les autres options étant en supplément. Une tartine avec beurre et confiture est également servie. Enfin, il manquerait quelques transats autour de la piscine pour pouvoir en profiter pleinement lors des journées ensoleillées.

Initially thought it may be a bit expensive, especially compared to other hotels but a good hotel is crucial as it gets extremely hot in PE. You need a pool and somewhere comfortable to relax and this was certainly it.

Suberb location with a relaxed vibe, clean installations, and a super happy and helpful staff directly next to la Punta. 100% recommend!

"Only" a 9 because of the included breakfast menu comes with a considerable extra cost. Keep that in mind.

Lo que más nos gusto fueron las actividades extras como yoga, que incluye el desayunos, en general toda la comida estuvo muy rica y los drinks muy buenos. Brindan un ambiente muy acogedor y el servicio de todos es muy amable.

Solo la ubicación, me hubiera gustado que estuviera un poco más cerca de la playa, y estaría padre que igual pusieran un mini refri en el cuarto.
