Didn’t have breakfast. Loved the location and views.

The shower needs upgrading.

The property was in a great location and it was lovely to be so close to the sea. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower had a good pressure and plenty of room in it. The staff were very friendly and kind.

The couch was uncomfortable; the TV was old and only had Sky channels - no streaming apps. The drawers in the bedroom looked like they were from the op shop and were hard to open and close. There was no coffee plunger. No heat pump but there was a very good oil heater. It was very expensive for off season.

Beach on your doorstep, close to town for breakfast. Spotlessly clean

lack of plug options. This is old fashion accommodation but with lots of charm, however due to the 70s nature of the place, there are few places to plug in tech to charge.

BEACH AND LOCATION

The Unit we had was around the back, th weather wasn’t that good, so we had to be careful with walking back & forward to the room

Friendly staff, great location. Reasonably clean for its age

The unit was "tired" and was really below standard with dated stained furniture. Obviously needs a major refurbish if it is to continue as a motel. Priced on the high side for existing state of the unit

I'd let them know that we could be later than 7pm, as it turned we arrived at 6:50pm. The hosts were very lovely and had even turned the heater on for us prior to our arrival. There were 3 of us and we found the room very comfortable. It's very handy to the beach and, it's safe to say, that we have found our new favorite place in Orewa! Value for money and is a short walk to the town centre. I highly recommend staying here - even for families with young kids.

The rooms need some TLC and modernizing. Blinds? Net curtains? New drapes?. Furniture and furnishings very old and shabby. Bed is to old, low and uncomfortable.

Perfect location- so central to everything in this lovely town. So close to the beach!

The room was a little cold in the early morning. Could maybe have had another layer on the bed. Until we got up and turned the heater on, it was a bit chilly.

Fantastic location, the staff are so friendly, I look forward to my next stay. I watched the most stunning sunrise over the sea.

I've stayed here before, both with family and on my own. It's an older style Motel- but clean as a whistle; next door to the beach; a 7 min. Walk to shops and restaurants; same distance to catch the bus to Auckland ( I've driven down from Kerikeri, stay at the Motel for a couple of nights,bus to Auckland, go to the Ballet matinee, then bus back to the Motel) . All in all a great place to stay.

Felt it was more expensive for similar accommodation we have stayed at -with similar basic accommodation and decking

Close to everything, was a fair price, had electric blankets and heaters, basic and what you need.

Floor felt like it needed a carpet wash, bring slippers for inside

We always enjoy staying here. Very friendly hosts, fantastic location and comfortable rooms, it's great value for money.

The location was spot on. Right on the beach and a super quick stroll to town and markets etc. Our lounge and kitchen were huge, so a perfect hosting spot for our group of 12. We ate out, but the kitchen was fully equipped if we had wanted to cook. Our upstairs apartment overlooked the beach and even though the weather was pretty rough, it was still a wonderful outlook. I had a luxurious soak in the big, deep spa bath (rectangle type). The place needs a facelift if you're looking for modern and sleek.. but we loved the super casual, bach type vibe. It was perfect for what we wanted and we are definitely returning!

I did find the bed a bit small for the 2 of us (we are used to a huge bed however) and not as comfortable as I would have hoped. But I am a super fussy sleeper and I'm sure for most people it would be fine.

Excellent location. We were travelling to Northlands stayed here on our way up. We loved this location so we also booked it for our return journey. The view from our studio was fab we had a lovely sunny evening for our first stay and for our return journey it was blowing a storm. Great to see the two different amazing views

Is quite out of date, but has everything you need and is tidy

Such a wholesome stay, very homely, very spacious, it was just my daughter and I by the end of the night as we picked her up from Pulman Arena. Even she couldn’t get over how homely it was she wanted to stay another night and she’s a home body.

The fact that we didn’t stay longer. Must give it another go and stay a long weekend as we enjoyed the quietness most of all. This comment is not negative on your behalf by the way, only on ours for not staying longer haha.

The view of the sea was fantastic. All the cooking facilities were available if you wanted to make your own food in the room. The room was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We felt very safe where we stayed. The room was close to town where there were great places to eat. Owner was great and hassle-free

There could have been a small bottle of milk provided instead of those minute capsules of milk. But that was no real big problem as Woolworths was close and I just got my own milk. The resort provided plastic buckets in which one could rinse their feet off in when returning from the beach - however no external tap could be found with which one could fill the bucket :-)

As usual we enjoyed our stay, even with the works going on next door, it was all good. The decor is dated but everything works ok and it didn't impact on our visit🙂😀
