Arrived late called to let them know and host was amazing to deal with arrived to light being left on & felt really welcomed. Just that extra service will make me recommend to others.

It was squeaky clean, beautifully presented and very comfortable. Lovely linen on the bed. The gardens and lawn were manicured and inviting. The owners were charming too!

Location is great! The bed was comfy but most of all the hosts are a delight! Always ready to help and very sweet!

If you have little toddlers this would be a beautiful place to stay. There are a range of little time cars/bikes set up, swings, a trampoline and swing ball etc. the main pool has a toddler pool attached and the spa is great. The location is walking distance to all shops and eateries.

No wifi 😢 Unfortunately the wifi wouldn’t connect in our room. It did in reception, but as soon as we stepped into our room it would not work.

Excellent location, clean & comfortable

There were plenty of places for our child to play, and the location was excellent, with many restaurants within easy walking distance. The host was also very kind and welcoming.

There was nothing in particular that we disliked.

Stayed here while my son was at sports camp, really handy location as it’s only 5-10 min drive from tōtara springs, and bonus everything you need is close by! The owners were so lovely, even the ladies that come through to service the rooms are really kind. One thing that stood out for me was the inclusiveness of this place, young/old/single/couples/families/disabilities are accommodated to here. I stayed with my 4 year old daughter who is on the autism spectrum disorder, she really enjoyed the outdoor play area which was safe and had lots of variety, she also loved the indoor spa! Booked the villa on Miro side, the room was warm & neat, the beds are really comfortable too, made it hard to get out of on those cold early mornings. Overall a very pleasant stay for a reasonable price, would highly recommend to anyone!! Thank you for having us.

The bed was really comfortable, the heat pump was quiet, no road noise disturbed us, it was very clean and tidy and was a short walk from the Visitor's Centre where the Hobbiton bus dropped us off.

Returning customers to Broadway Motel which is very easy to get to on my way through during the holiday break. I always book a villa which are very well kept and definetly like the spa bath making my brief stay that much more enjoyable.

Was perfect for a last minute booking, clean tidy and warm. Also they had turned the heating on for us, so it was nice coming out of a dark, cold and rainy nite.

The rooms were pretty clean, and perfect for a family, plenty of beds and two televisions. My daughter did not want to leave - best access to toys and a play area. The toy vehicles are getting a little old but they are still lots of fun for my 4 year old. Perfect for what we needed.

There is a fruit shop next door that was recommended for us to utilise.. however there is a larger supermarket around the block that will have more options at better prices.

Great location, perfect setup for children and families. We relaxed upon arrival and will be back for sure!

Great parking, I had a trailer. Markets across the road on Sunday. Manager/Owner was helpful. Decided to extend my stay, which was easy and hassle free.

It was the AC, One switched on the heat up. There was a fault smell coming from it. This was sorted as soon as it was put around between 19 and 22.

Tony was very accommodating arranging early arrival the day before our booking due to cyclone warnings. He made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay and being a great host.

I felt it was a little on the expensive side however seems on par with other hotels in the area so might be normal for this location.

Well maintained and very clean room. Beds were comfy. Generous sized bathroom with plenty of towels. On site managers were friendly and welcoming.

The room was adequate old style Motel with parking straight outside the door. It was nicely refurbished, it was comfortable for one night stay.

We were woken at 3am by an Air Raid siren 3 times, coming from Australia we had no idea what this meant. In the morning we found out apparently this is to tell emergency services there has been a car accident or a fire. So they need to wake the whole town at 3am. Apparently this is quite common in small town NZ. Having shown dogs all over Australia for 10 years we have stayed all over the country in the most remotest of areas in oz and never experienced this this but that's just how they do things in NZ . We asked but "how do they know where they need to go", "well they call the base" Hmmm so the base could not call or message them and not have to wake the whole town ? or even use a UHF CB system. I guess if they have to get up the whole town has to get up lol. I guess its not their fault at the motel but I would rather have stayed in Auckland or Rotorua and made the day trip to Hobbiton and had a good nights sleep. I just wanted to let other travelers know this could happen if they book in these small towns in NZ.

Had a very nice one night stay here. Handy spot in town, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. It was our first motel stop on our trip in NZ and I was pleasantly surprised in the facilities. Milk provided (as it was at all motels we stayed in). Parking outside the room.

Large room, clean, choice of beds, good facilities with lovely gardens - pool and indoor hot tub. Easy walk to town with range of bars and restaurants. Laundry facilities good.

We were warmly welcomed at reception by the friendly owner who kindly walked us to our room. We really appreciated being able to store our bikes securely in a lock-up. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained, the room was spacious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

It is not far from the Hobbiton Movie Set so was easy for after the evening tour that we did. The room’s decor was quite dated but was clean and well cared for.

Spacieux, beau, idéal pour les enfants de tout âge (plein de jeux extérieurs et piscine), déco raffinée, jamais en France on a ce luxe. Parfait pour une étape à Hobbiton. Proche de tout. Il y a un resto asiatique food à proximité, pas cher, bon et cuisine maison. Un bonheur pour l’estomac après la Junk food trop présente partout.
