Steep stairs with suitcases, the exterior looks a bit dated and not the best area but rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay! The room was really clean, spacious and comfortable, which made the stay even better. It was also in a great location, close to shops and everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

That there was no kitchen sink to wash our plates and also no lock to the bathroom. Needs more rubbish bins around for us to just take our own rubbish when it’s full.

The room is spotless and spacious for 5 of us in a room. A lot of halal food and restaurant around. The customer service is excellent and very friendly. The bathroom is very big for the family room. They gave 2 sets of card keys which were very handy. Highly recommended

The stairs. No lift since it is only one floor up and you had to carry your heavy bag up and down.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and an amazing vegetarian restaurant, The Shivani's, conveniently located downstairs. I was attending a family function during my visit, and the spacious parking facility made getting around extremely easy. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Fantastic facilities, a very comfortable bed, and excellent customer service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the shower was spacious, clean, and fantastic. Overall, a great stay — I’ll definitely be back!

The only thing I would suggest is providing a little more coffee and hot chocolate, as there were only two of each provided. It would also be a nice touch to have small portions of liquid milk, as commonly provided in hotels, rather than the powdered creamer. Overall, a small improvement, but it would make the stay even more enjoyable.

We stayed here before catching a flight because the hotel is close to the airport. The room itself is spacious, clean, and has everything you need.

The only serious issue for me was the noise. The soundproofing is really poor—you can hear literally everything from the neighbouring rooms, including the TV, conversations, and coughing. If you’re a light sleeper and have noisy neighbours, you might have trouble sleeping here. I couldn’t sleep at all until 3 a.m. because the guests in the room next to mine were talking all night :(

Love how conveniently close it was to everything we needed, within walking distance of the mall and Friday night markets.

Its was clean and tidy. Bedding was warm. Best location, surrounded by shops. Staff were nice aswell. And I loved the decor Plus loved that we could see our truck from our room

Close for our event we went to Auckland for. Staff ringing and checking in on us as we were making our way to Auckland as we had asked for an early check in but had car issues on the motorway. When they rung us they asked if we where still coming and what time we would expect to be in and if we where okay waiting for our tow truck so that meant alot to us for them to take time out to check in on there guest's

No spare blanket in the room only one mirror, crumbs in the drawers not enough sugar for 5 people wanting a coffee there was only 4 sugar sachets.

Clean easy to access, beds warm and comfy.

The aircon was noisy, there was some banging too. Also outside the room the noisy aircon units I’m guessing . Just made sleeping difficult

It was close to the plaza within walking distance to heaps of different shops. We stayed on a Friday night so the night market was on. And only walking distance away. My kids really enjoyed going shopping at night.

There is no sink in the kitchen but there is 1 in the bathroom for doing dishes.

Location was great for south Auckland location, be sure to try the resturante/backery downstairs. Delicious.

No fan in the toilet, so slightly humid in the room after multiple showers.

Clean, friendly owners, easy access.

Shower could use more pressure, and a sink in the kitchenette would be advantageous.

Great location right in the middle of the town but still quiet. Comfortable beds. Good parking. Friendly reception and no check in problems..strong Wifi

No TV channels. Only Netflix and YouTube viewing. No evacuation procedures on display given it is only one upstairs floor and what seemed to be only one exit.

Only one bed. Sutiable for si gle/couple only. Not for adult and son as searched on booking.com - team handled situation well.

Very tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We locked our car to get into the room inside also locked the door from inside and they were quick to solve the problem and very helpful. Super friendly staff and every time we stay here it exceeds our expectations.

Some people would be sleeping outside the couch in early hours of the morning. Not sure if they have their own rooms or what but we felt unsafe to see them sleeping on the couch outside our doors for a few hours

I liked Bakers Lodge for the following reasons: Cleanliness Friendliness of staff Value for money. Accessibility to Woolworth supermarket, Kmart, and the Friday Night Markets. The airport is only a few kilometres away.

I didnt find anything that I disliked.

Place was handy to our destination, staff were friendly and very helpful, very clean room

Loved the size of the family room and bathroom, plenty space for me and my family of 5 (2 kids and 3 adults). Loved that the rooms were cleaned every 2 days which included towel change and top up of toiletries. The cleaner was so nice and helpful, if we were in on a cleaning day he would arrange for another day, if we needed anything he would offer to help where he could. Love the location (5 minute walk to hunters plaza). Also loved how accommodating they were for early check in and instructions were clear.

The room was spacious, very clean bathroom facilities, the bed was very comfortable (I slept like a baby). the staff were very friendly and helpful. (the two gentlemen that did the cleaning the following morning, were very polite and helpful, thank you)

I didn't like that there was no sink to wash the dishes and cups we used, I would have preferred a room with a kitchenette. I also didn't like the fact that you could hear the people in the next room.

So close to supermarket, kmart & airport.

Just had great communication and made after hours check in and out a breeze with very specific instructions as to avoid any confusion.

Only having one card for the room. the keycard controls the power if anyone leaves and needs to take the key to get back in (say runs out to the car)the power turns off.

Everything was perfect And we enjoyed our Friday as it was a perfect 1-2mins walk form the night market and only 5mins away walk to the town and restaurants and the motel also have its own restaurant down stairs. Planning my next booking already the staff were very friendly and I was able to get a might check in access after call them as I was running late so it was very helpful.

Close to Papatoetoe Night Markets when I stayed on Friday night.

Parking tight and not easy to find at first.

The space of the rooms were all amazing. The bathroom floor plan was big and nice. A lot of parking available. Area is very convenient, walking distance to a lot of restaurants as well as night markets on Friday.

The bed was a little smaller than anticipated for a deluxe room but it was fine.

We were booked & paid elsewhere which was awful. Found Bakers online and really enjoyed staying three nights. Spotlessly clean, amazing size room, great bathroom, good linen, excellent staff, plenty of restaurants on the doorstep shops too. Couple minutes to the freeway in/out of Auckland. Large free car park adjacent. Quiet. Very well maintained. We found it perfectly safe wandering around the area day or night (a previous review mention it wasn't safe...woos) May well stay a few more nights on return to Auckland. Thank you
