Place was great value. Great location, close enough to town where you can walk to it but far enough not to get disturbed. Staff was super helpful and gave plenty of recommendations for things to do

Very pleasant accommodation with everything you could need. Comfie bed and a well equipped kitchen. Nice owner who explained the area and what to visit like a pro.

Manhattan room was roomy and nice position. Close to spa and pool. The excellent laundry was most welcome

I stayed at Oceans 88 for one night during a work trip and was blown away with the standard of everything in the room. The towels, the bedding, the TV, the kitchen set up. They have thought of everything!! It felt like a home away from home.

Bei der Ankunft strahlt das Gebäude den herben Charme eines Motels aus, aber das ändert sich, sobald man das Appartement betritt: großzügige Räume, hervorragende Ausstattung - bis hin zu einem scharfen Küchenmesser: das hatten wir noch nie in einer Ferienwohnung! Der Außenbereich mit Pool und Whirlpool ist toll. Und Ken, unser Wirt, war ausgesprochen freundlich, locker und hilfsbereit.

At arrival we met the host Ken who was very informative about the property, town and local specialities in the coromandel peninsula.

Attention to detail is second to none at Oceans 88. Location besides the sea, with nice pool and hot tub, is so relaxing. The accommodation is lovely and the bed & bedding very good, best night sleep. Nice touches were the anotated maps with notes. With sweets and biscuit readily available . Good workable kitchen as well.

Lovely room with very clean and comfortable bedding. Located just a short walk through the marina to plenty of restaurants and cafes. Very quiet location and onsite hot tub was great. Hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions.

Terrific location overlooking the inlet which it was fun to kayak on. And lovely pool and hot tub and BBQ to enjoy the views from.

Ken and Del were exceptional hosts, guiding our drive in on stunning scenic roads, providing tips on local attractions and dining, and making us feel so at home. We were shown the special features of the property; including laundry, pool, hot tub, kayaks, etc. i felt very secure at this location.

Fantastisk lys og stor lejlighed med den smukkeste udsigt fra alle vinduer. Swimmingpoolen og spa’en var et stort hit hos alle i vores familie. Børnene græd, da vi skulle hjem!

We loved this place. Very roomy, clean and a summery vibe. A lovely pool and outlook. Very peaceful location and we loved Whitianga. We'll be back for sure!

Pool was a bit too warm but still enjoyable.

This is an amazing place to stay in Whitianga. We had the largest apartment and it looked right out over the water, with easy access to the pool and the gate out to the water. Easy to get to town too, 10 minutes walk through the marina.

Oh wow, we absolutely loved our stay at Oceans 88 and right from the first interaction with Ken & Del, we knew we had chosen well. The location was superb and the view from the apartment and the pool area was awesome. The facilities were so clean, very comfortable and very well kept, and even though we didn’t need anything (because it was all provided), Ken & Del checked in on us. It was so easy to walk everywhere & access cafes, restaurants & boat tours as it was close to the centre of town. We highly recommend this accommodation for couples, families & larger families/groups too. The pool and spa were both absolutely perfect 🙌

There was nothing not to like!!

The shower pressure was excellent, all the facilities were amazing and easy to use and the location was super convenient, We’ll definitely be staying here again.

The wifi service is so bad that you cant even watch Netflix. Bring your phone with data because the host says its all over Whitianga that wifi-service is this bad. To the wharf its a 15min walk.

A beautiful spot. Stylish and comfortable with a super pool and hot tub. Great view and location . Ken was a great host telling us where to eat and places to visit. An exceptional property.

Nothing really except the annoying air conditioning which made a noise throughout the night when the pump clicked in.

Great instructions and communication from the host prior to arrival. The room was comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved the pool and spa. Comfortable walking distance to the town centre. We would happily stay here again.

We would recommend warm white light bulbs for the room as the lighting is a bit harsh.

Location was awesome, the manager kept me in the loop during the day of my arrival on any arrival details. On arrival he gave me a full run down on the area and restaurants etc. The facilities were great, pool/spa, with a view over the water. I got caught out in a downpour and came back drenched, and was relieved to discover the laundry, which saved me having to find one early in the evening. The room was comfy and clean with good kitchen facility.

Room was a reasonable size with suitable ammenities. Pool and spa area was good backing onto the (bay) beach area. Easy walking to Main Street area and shops.

Loved the spa and location. Room was tidy and clean. Handy to have the kitchenette.

Unfortunately we had issues with the smoke alarm batteries both nights waking us up, but otherwise was great.

Our stay was great! Lots of details were taken care of. For example, kayaks, shovels for the hot water beach were and lots of kitchen tools were provided. Super thoughtful and lovely!

We had a lovely time here. The owner is fantastic. In discussions the day before it suited them for a early check-in so we arrived in the morning to find they had upgraded us to the suite next to the pool and we had the place to ourselves for most of that day. Slept so well and they provide plastic glasses so you can be in the pool with a drink in your hand.

So accommodating and easy to find. We had the entire place to our selves and Ken was great in helping us find food. Great property and amenities.

We loved our stay. Ken and Del were very friendly and the place was lovely. The pool was a nice temp and the water view out the back of property was beautiful . Our room was immaculately clean and was very comfortable.

Ken and del were so lovely and welcoming and allowed us to check in early on a really bad weather day, facilities were very clean bed was super comfy , spa was perfect and the use of the kayaks was so cool. We loved our stay so much thanks Ken, del and Billy.

We stayed in the Manu Moana suite upstairs. Absolutely huge home away from home. Very comfy bed and the views were to die for! We used the spa and pool which were immaculate and also swam in the sea which was just a few steps from the outdoor heated pool. Short walk to town for meals and the gardens are just gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Pool area exceptional and housekeeping everyday. Place was spotless and the location is a lovely 10 minute walk to the Wharf. Private jetty to the water was an added bonus Can't rate high enough - hosts could not do enough for us.

Wifi could be a little faster

The owners are very nice. I wish I got to stay longer and enjoy the pool and lounge in my patio or in the room. Very cozy to sleep with a window ajar and listen to the morning or evening buzz of the breeze. Very friendly patrons.

Excellent accommodation which was stylish & comfortable with lots of extra touches. The swimming pool was lovely & well maintained with views overlooking the river. The hot tub was fantastic & the BQ was an added bonus. Ken & Del who manage the accommodation gave us lots of local information & recommendations and made our stay here memorable. Definitely a 5 star stay we didn't want to leave. We also fell in love with the Coromondal beaches & surroundings & will hopefully be back soon!

These rooms are super cute and comfortable and the property is amazing! The hosts were SO lovely and had amazing tips, and even shovels on hand for a trip to hot water beach (saving you a shovel for hire cost!) The rooms were clean and the property had a pristine pool, hot tub, and water access on the back complete with kayaks free for guests to use. They even had free laundry on site which was a nice bonus, and a small kitchen in the unit. It’s close and walkable to town and restaurants- really loved this stay and would highly recommend!

Ken and Del, the managers, were so welcoming and attentive, quick to supply recommendations. They keep the place in pristine condition. There's easy access to the laundry, the pool/hot tub and outdoor seating. Plus, it's a short walk to the shops and restaurants (and the ferry) via the marina or through the town.
