The cottage we stayed in was cosy , however the sofas really old and sunk in. Those need to be changed.. The place is clean. And the beds very comfortable..

The breakfast. Sane, Standard.optioon everyday. No.flexinility. . As a vegetarian (no eggs) ...they.could make.more effort. No pancakes for kids !! Its the easiest thing to make ....

Die Lodge ist sehr gepflegt und die Zimmer sind super ausgestattet. Die Besitzerin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir hatten nur eine Nacht, wären aber gern länger geblieben. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Vriendelijke mensen, leuke cottage en een goede locatie om Stormsrivier en het Tsitsikamma NP te verkennen. Lekker de open haard aan 's avonds. Restaurantjes op loopafstand voor in de avond.

De keukeninrichting was wat beperkt en het is allemaal wat oud. Maar wel schoon en gezellig.

Warm welcome. Cottage exceeded expectations. Best location. Personal attention it was Womans Day but they knew we were there for my Husband Birthday. Inside we found 2 gifts one for me and one for him. A fireplace already packed with everything you needed to light it. Recommendations for everything. The Cottage was huge and extremely comfortable. Amazing bed and bedding. Proper toilet paper. Everything just impeccable 👌

Absolutely nothing everything was perfect. Planning a Summer stay there for a long period.

The whole experience of Storms River was a revelation. The accommodation was perfect.

Alloggio bellissimo e molto spazioso, su due piani e con 6 posti letto e 2 bagni, in un bel giardino. Può fare freddo, ma a disposizione si hanno coperte riscaldate, condizionatore con pompa di calore e camino. Staff cordiale e gentile. Colazione abbondante. Ottima posizione con ristoranti che si raggiungono anche solo attraversando la strada. Parcheggio privato.

Una metà della coperta riscaldata non era funzionante.

The high ceiling made tht the bedroom took long to warm up lucky for the heater.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cottages were beautiful with bed heaters which was a pleasant surprise as well as the small fireplace inside was great. The breakfast was excellent and hearty. Loved the quiet surroundings and beautiful scenery, perfect for a quiet, relaxing weekend getaway.

Mould smell in the bathroom

Potentially a great set of holiday cottages in a secure location supported by friendly staff and a nice breakfast. However we decided that the premises - spacious and with plenty of bed space and two bathrooms - were in need of a 'refurb'. The stove in our room - not needed in March - was out of order. When we arrived at the security gate it wouldn't open due to lack of credit on the curious phone system they use. Another guest helped us out. There is a pool, easy chairs to sit around in and your own barbecue. As I say, lots of potential! Storms River is a small place but there is a nice pub for a meal (+ other places). We did the Suspension Bridge walk and had a meal on the beach. Tsitsikamma (sp?) is a lovely location with great mountains, wonderful coastline.

Refresh needed. The self-help bar couldn't even manage a Coca Cola. Unique in SA? In contrast to other places in SA Swallows Nest lacked that attention to detail and stood out in comparison.

Tolles Appartement in schöner Anlage.

Das beim Frühstück kein Käse und Schinken verfügbar war. Aussage wird heute erst im Laufe des Tages geliefert. Sonst aber alles prima.

Nette eingezäunte Anlage am Ortseingang von Stormsrivier. Die Zimmer bzw Appartments sind in 6 kleinen Häuschen untergebracht, die sich in einem Garten um einen kleinen Pool gruppieren. Große Räume, gut für Selbstversorger. Sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeberin. Sicherer Parkplatz im Innenhof.

Die Ausstattung ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und wenn man abends auf der Terrasse sitzt, hört man den Verkehrslärm von der Schnellstraße. Der Pool lädt nicht wirklich zum Baden ein. Das Frühstück ist sehr übersichtlich und man kann es nur drinnen einnehmen, da einem sonst marodierende Affen das Essen vom Tisch klauen würden.

The breakfast was very good and the location was excellent , only a very short walk to the general stores and local bars / restaurants . A delightful small village .

The property is functional and practical for a one night / short stay . Everything worked as should , staff were excellent . There is clearly some renovation work being undertaken at the rear of the cottage (4) we stayed in . This did not impact on our stay . Overall the property was a little dated but very clean . With some tweaks and modernisation this could be a gem .

Es war nicht sauber, im Bad war sehr viel Schimmel, der Pool war milchig trüb und nicht benutzbar. Trotzdem lief die Pumpe nur stundenweise. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren fleckig (vmtl gewaschen, aber einfach nicht sauber, Stockflecken...). Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen und frage mich nach einigen Erfahrungen in verschiedenen Unterkünften langsam, ob hier Bewertungen gefaked werden. Frühstück ist einfach Geschmackssache, für mich war es nichts, mein Mann fand's okay.

Breakfast was excellent every morning and staff so friendly and helpful. Location was great, within walking distance of shops, restaurants. However the chalet inside and bathroom was "tired" couch in the lounge was so bad one could not sit on it. Some chalets had aircon but not all and we had to keep windows and doors closed because of the baboons. Each chalet needs a aircon (we did not have one). Big asset was the swimming pool to cool down in once you returned from your activities.

Lounge furniture was old and uncomfortable, not much crockery in the cupboards to use at all. No aircon.

Friendly hosts and staff. Our comfortable 2 room cottage plus terrace / gardens provided ample space to relax outside and cozy up indoors in front of the fireplace after a long day of hiking and kayaking. The cooked English breakfast with extras was more than enough to get going for the day. A great location for access to national parks and Tsitsikamma. Very happy we could make use of the wood fireplace on the cool nights.

Shame the swimming pool wasn't working so we couldn't cool off after the hot days.

Die einzelnen kleinen Häuschen sind eine super Idee..

Die Einrichtung ist etwas Old Fashion. Und so hat es auch gerochen. Auf dem Gartengrill- Platz zum abstellen der Platten hat es Kacke von den Pfauen oder den Pavianen.. Es lädt nicht ein zum selber kochen bzw. grillieren.

Eu e minha esposa fizemos a Garden Route e, de longe, essa foi a melhor acomodação de todas! A equipe é extremamente gentil e atenciosa, o local é lindo, com vista para o parque do Tsitsikama e o chalé é perfeito, com sala e quarto separados e destaque para o chuveiro.

Smelly bedding and pillows, linen was obviously not washed and fresh, pillows had stains on them,meaning they do not get cleaned regularly. I actually put something over the pillow so I could sleep on it. A few days later, my husband developed lumps on his legs, which could possibly be due to bed bugs. We didn't want to look at the mattress or we probably would have slept in the car! The unit had a stinch. We had to buy in sense sticks from the shop down the road. very thankful it was a one night stay.

Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vorabinformation per WhatsApp und eine freundliche Begrüßung runden es ab. Wer Ruhe und etwas Abgeschiedenheit mag, ist in diesem Ort genau richtig.

Leider ist die Unterkunft nicht so wirklich sauber gewesen. Abflussdeckel in der Dusche lagen nicht korrekt auf, Haare von anderen Gästen lagen noch im Bad. In Gänze war es zwar schon sauber aber nicht so, dass man völlig zufrieden ist.

I loved the location and the friendly staff. It was a very welcoming and family friendly atmosphere. The accomodation was also close to all amenities, with numerous restaurants in walking distance. The rooms were neat and clean and provided a comfortable stay.

The breakfast service could be better explained as we almost missed the lovely eggs, rostis and bacon that were on offer as our table did not have a menu or any instructions. There could also have been more toiletries like soap and shampoos in the bathroom. Additional instructions on how to use the TV could also be provided in the room.

Sehr hübsche Anlage mit den Cottages gruppiert um einen grossen Garten mit Pool, schöne grosse Terrassen und alles was man für Selbstversorger braucht, inkl. Küche. Parkplatz direkt vor der Haustüre. Gutes frisch zubereitetes englisches Frühstück, wobei die übrige Auswahl etwas üppiger sein könnte.

Die Ausstattung ist schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, speziell das Bad und die Küche sollte vielleicht einmal ein Facelift erfahren. Wozu eine riesige Badewanne, die kaum jemand nutzt, dafür kaum Platz für WC und Waschbecken.
