Fantastische plek! Super mooie locatie. Aardig personeel en hele comfortabele huisjes met heerlijke bedden. Wij hadden een houten hut met buiten keuken en dat vonden we echt fantastisch!

We were obsessed with the views, the host in the breakfast area and the beautifully decorated rooms itself.

We really did enjoy our stay and there were some lovely aspects to the accommodation. I’m not usually one to complain, but I do feel there are a few things worth mentioning, particularly for families travelling with young children. My biggest concern was that I wish we had been given a little more information beforehand regarding the layout, safety and actual pathway/access to the River Cabin. Had I understood how everything was set up, I probably would have chosen different accommodation or perhaps requested a different room that was more suitable for our family. I had made it clear from the beginning that we would be travelling with two small children, including requesting a cot for our 2-year-old. With two young boys who naturally just want to run around and explore, we spent a large portion of our stay worrying about them being out of our sight, even for a minute. The deck at Kingfisher was particularly concerning. The railing was loose, some of the wooden planks on the deck itself need serious attention, and overall I do feel the safety and maintenance of the decks should be looked at. For adults it may not seem like such a major issue, but when you have two very young children with you, it becomes quite stressful. We also experienced a few other issues during our stay. My partner managed to have a hot shower, but by the time I wanted to shower there was no hot water. The supplied heater also stopped working, and considering how absolutely freezing it was, this was difficult. Thankfully the aircon did work, although it seemed to work on and off. Regarding dinner, I was aware that meals needed to be pre-booked. However, when we arrived I enquired about booking dinner for our **second night**, only to be told that this should also have been booked in advance. It may be helpful to make this clearer to guests before arrival, especially if bookings cannot be made once you are already staying there. Again, this isn’t written simply as a complaint.

Beautiful setting, peaceful, lovely rustic cabins.

Had an issue with lack of hot water first morning, however was sorted by the next day after we informed Riaan of the issue the next morning. Shower head in cabin 3 is a bit too big for the amount of water pressure, which does make it a bit difficult to rinse shampoo from hair.

The location was great, the chalet nice and cosy. The swimming pool nearby(very cold - but it is winter!😂). The breakfast was good.

The location is beautiful and the staff were kind and friendly.

The unit we stayed in - Tree Tops - had a number of small issues. Individually they are almost not worth mentioning - a blocked sink, a fridge set so high it froze and ruined our food, and several other minor issues - but cumulatively it was frustrating and gave the impression of a lack of care in maintenance. The bottom line is that although the accommodation is described as "rustic", I have stayed in similar accommodation in other parts of the country, at the same price point, and had a better experience.

Beautiful location with very friendly and helpful staff.

Shower needs a screen/curtain, and the bathroom needs a bathroom mat. Didn't know that we would have to share a kitchen, so that was a surprise - would be good to clarify that up-front. Found numerous worms and beetles crawling through the room and bathroom throughout our stay.

The view was excellent. Amazing jungle gym for the kids. Great swimming pool. Great location. Nice and quiet.

There was junk all around the unit. It looks like the cleaners just sweep everything onto the stoep and then off into the garden. The braai grid is in a bad condition and the braai itself needs attention. The kitchenette windows are moldy. The shower temperature is difficult to control.

View and surroundings were lovely. Manager was very friendly and helpful.

No oven was a surprise. Wifi was absolutely terrible.

Information said fishing rods (basic) are available - that made us chose this overnight facility as my son wanted to do some fishing. They did not have available, a bit of a disappointment. No other negatives.

Small gripes for a stay in the budget rooms of a lovely accommodation: Difficult to remedy but taking a shower made entire bathroom very wet with steam, due to small bathroom and very cold temperatures outside, despite window open. Also, being winter, there wasn't an area/lounge to relax in except our bedroom. Lovely area right outside our room but winter too cold to be outside in evening. I'm sure an upgraded room would fix this issue, so cannot blame establishment.

Das Frühstück war lecker und der Host war sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist für den Addo Elephant Park top. Pool und Plantage hatten für uns wegen dem Wetter leider keine großen Vorzüge aber sah schön aus.

Mooi park, prima ligging om naar Addo elephant park te gaan. Ondanks regenachtig weer hebben ze erg hun best gedaan ons een onvergetelijke safari te bieden!

Bedden boven voor de kinderen erg slechte kwaliteit. Het was niet overal even schoon.

Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten etwas im Zimmer vergessen, und das Personal hat es gefunden! wir konnten es am nächsten abholen! Zimmer war sauber und auch die Selfcatering küche war gut bestückt.

It was so peaceful. It is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy. Disappointed that we only stayed one night. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Hopefully we will be able to come back for longer.

There was not much to dislike. We did not find anything that we could fault. The only thing is when we went to hand the key in, no one was there to receive it, but that was not an issue as most people put the key in the box.

We had a beautiful little room. The water was hot and had good pressure. We absolutely loved our stay.

1. Location (rural riverside) is good. We didn't spend much time there as we were out during the day game viewing so did not explore the facilities extensively. 2. When the office manager saw the composition of our party, he offered us an additional cabin at no extra charge as it was clear we would not be comfortable in the accommodation we had booked. We can only speculate about what would have happened if the additional unit had not been available.

1. The unit we initially booked (unit 2) was advertised as accommodation for 4 adults and 1 child. It could not have accommodated this mix of guests as 3 of the beds were extremely low and located on as mezzanine floor very close to the thatch roof. At best it is accommodation for a single family of 2 adults and 2 - 3 children. 2. During our stay we were aware of a strong sewerage smell, presumably from the septic tank/french drain. The shower flooded and did not drain, so presumably related to this. 3. The cabins are in need of maintenance - some of the wooden bannisters and railings were loose and could have resulted in a guest falling down the stairs from the mezzanine in unit 4. 4. It was evident that the facilities were being run on a very tight budget. Bedding was not very comfortable and the provision of single ply toilet paper is a red flag.

Wir haben als Fam mit 2 Kindern das Chalet Nr2 bewohnt, am Fluss der riesigen Zitrusfarm. Viel Platz, Selbstversorgung gut möglich, ausreichend sauber. Sensationelles Frühstück im Haupthaus. Sehr nettes, hilfreiches Personal. Top Pool Nutzung. Wunderbare Anlage, sicher u ruhig.

WLAN nur im Haupthaus. Dusch- u Waschbecken-Abfluss waren verstopft, wird aber behoben.

Freundliche Mitarbeiter und ruhige Lage. Addo Elephant Park ist 20 min mit dem Auto.

In Addo gibt es absolut gar nichts außer den Elephant Park. Die Kanus sind nicht mehr in Gebrauch. Das sollte man vorher wissen, wenn man diese Unterkunft unter anderem wegen des Sees bucht.

Wunderschöne Landschaft und eine kleine Oase in der Natur in der Nähe vom Addo Park. Sehr nette Besitzer (inkl. verschmustem Hund) und es hat alles was man braucht.

Not far from Addo Elephant Park.Set amidst citrus plantations. A bit old-fashioned but charming. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very nice breakfast, yoghurt and fresh fruit, homemade lemonade and scrambled egg and bacon.

Very friendly, helpful staff, namely Riaan and Albert. They provided a fan when required and offered and provided ice bricks for our trip into Addo Elephant park.

The bedroom was extremely hot. It was over 40 degrees and the curtains had been left open. The ceiling fan did not cope. It felt like being in an oven. We asked for another fan which was provided. It was still very hot. The shower was visibly dirty. I had to remove long hair from the shower drain.

Eine wunderschöne Anlage Parkänhlich mit zwei Pools an einen Fluss gelegen. Naturfeeling pur aber auf Komfort muss man nicht verzichten.

Das Frühstück ist etwas für Südafrika teuer.

Sehr liebevoll gestalteter Garten mit zwei Pools. Man spürt die große Hingabe der Betreiber und bekommt tolle Informationen und Erläuterungen. Ich wurde mit einem Geburtstags Ständchen empfangen. Die Einrichtung meines Cabin war für alle Bedürfnisse komplett, da fehlte mir nichts.

Man muss wissen, dass das sehr gut aufbereitete Leitungswasser (wohl aus dem Fluss) zwar sauber zum Duschen ist, aber fürs Zähneputzen sollte man besser Mineralwasser benutzen. Das ist eben inmitten der Natur so.

De mezzanine waar een van ons moest slapen. Benauwd en geen erg hygiënische lakens. Maar manager heeft terstond propere lakens gelegd.

Piękne i przyjazne miejsce. Czuliśmy sie ważni i otoczeni opieką. Nasze zameldowanie przypadło na czas ogromnej burzy z gradobicie, ktora połamała drzewa i uczynila drogę nieprzejezdna. Otworzono dla nas druga bramę, ponieważ główna została zablokowana przez wielkie drzewo. Gdy zgłosiliśmy problem z niedziałający elementami w pokoju, zostaliśmy przeniesienie do pięknej willi nad rzeką. Przepraszam nas za pogodę, kiedy naprawde na to nikt nie ma wpływu. Takiej uprzejmości nie spotyka sie często. Jeszcze raz dziękujemy.

Das Anwesen liegt in einer schönen Lage am Fluss in einer Citrus Plantage. Der Addo sowie Restaurants waren gut zu erreichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Leider war unser cottage bei Booking mit 100 qm angegeben, es hatte aber eher die Hälfte. Der Pool war leider sehr dreckig. Ebenso waren große Flecken auf dem Bettlaken. Als ich ein Bett im Obergeschoss verschoben habe, so wurde hier ewig nicht drunter gesaugt oder gefegt. Der Spielplatz wirkte leider auch runter gekommen und bedarf mal Grünpflege Daher waren wir leider froh, nur einen Tag gebucht zu haben...

Les espaces extérieurs sont bien entretenus, la pelouse tondue et les.beaux aménagements sont très agréables et reposants Le petit déjeuner est varié et bon avec les confitures d'orange maison, un régal. Le personnel est charmant La piscine est agréable. Les installations pour enfants attractives Ça vaut le.coup de rester plus que pour une étape d'une nuit

Rien a redire, les bushcamps ne sont pas très modernes mais ce n'est pas ça qu'on recherche

We visited Addo Elephant Park, so the location of the property was perfect. We were very comfortable in our chalet - it was clean, well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We felt very secure on the property, and will definitely be back for another stay.

De liggin en het uitzicht en de gastvrijheid van de eigenaar

Luidruchtige geburen maar daar kon de eigenaar helemaal niks aan doen

Super mooie locatie, prachtig onderhouden. Fijn huisje, met prima bedden! Addo Elephant Np is ongeveer een half uurtje rijden, hetzelfde geldt voor een supermarkt. Zolang je je hierop instelt is dit een heel fijn plekje met een prachtig groen uitzicht!

Als ik iets zou moeten zeggen, zou ik zeggen de braai. Die heeft echt heel hard onderhoud/reparatie nodig.

Sehr schöne Anlage im Grünen. Zitrusplantage rund um das Anwesen. Tolles Frühstück.

Leider war unser Chalet nur oberflächlich geputzt, was einen schmudigen Eindruck machte. Bei der Toilette hatte noch sichtbare Spuren vom Vormieter. Es hatte in der ganzen Unterkunft Kot von Gekkos. Die Bettwäsche bei den Einzelnetten hatten Flecken und Gekko Kot auf dem Bettrand.
