We only stayed one night as we were only a tight schedule. The tree houses were fantastic, comfortable and clean with great views. The outdoor BBQ dinner provided was great and would have been the highlight but for the early morning safari (which was organised by the accommodation & was excellent (crowded, but still excellent).
There wasn't really a bar, the pool was very small and our air-con was a bit temperamental, However the staff were very attentive and sorted as best they could and gave us a discount to apologise for inconvenience.
The grounds are located in the bush, a bit run down but interesting and unique to be in a treehouse. One or two nights would have been better than the 3 we spent there.
30 minute drive from Yala gate was a bit further than expected, cats in the eating areas (one scratched our son), initially told the all inclusive package would include transportation to and from location but then at the hotel (we didn’t need transport to, only from) informed that because we booked on booking.com, transport not included. Overall felt it wasn’t really great value for the price. Staff was pleasant. Food ok.
You are in the middle of the trees and the staff has always done their best to accommodate my requests and our tight schedule, thank you so much
The place is near nature. Tree house is nice for and good quality. Food was good (breakfast and dinner).
There is problem with ontime transfer - you need hotel assitst fro 4x4 jeep transfer. We had to wait 40min for transfer which we asked for day earlier. The costs of stay are very expensive - 5* hotels are 2x cheaper. Standard accomondation is 10x cheaper in this region.
All the staff here were lovely , really friendly , especially hashan, the guest relations manager , who started the day we got there .
we were really disappointed with the state of the hotel . We were recommended by friends that were there last year and said it was great , but by the time we were there , it was quite run down . I understand its in the jungle and that you don't get the same amenities as a city hotel , but it also calls itself a luxury ecolodge and this just isn't the case . The bathrooms are not clean and the pool was really bad , not clean and nowhere to sit . This wouldn't be as much of a problem if it was cheap , but it isn't, we paid over 250 euros per night .

Piu luce nelle stanze
It was a really cool experience staying in a tree house in the jungle.
The staff were not organised and had little communication. We were waiting on the side of the road for 30 mins when we arrived. No one seemed to know we had a safari at 2pm (which they organised). In the morning for our other safari we were told to be there at 4.50 am for coffee and tea and no one was awake. I had to get water from the kitchen myself for the tour. No one really knew what was happening. The lady on WhatsApp wasn’t on site which didn’t help.
Away from busy parts, 4WD into the property
No hot water at night time. The pool wasn’t working so couldn’t swim. There isn’t much to do there of the pool doesn’t work.
amazing welcome and a really kind team. the place feels magical, set above the trees with that rare mix of calm and excitement. the space is super cosy warm and designed so you feel good the moment you arrive. a simple quiet and charming break. i’d recommend it without hesitation.
Our stay at Leopard Nest was absolutely exceptional! The accommodation is stunning — beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and such a unique experience being nestled up in the trees. It really felt like something special and different. The staff were second to none — truly some of the kindest and most attentive people we’ve met. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was incredible — delicious, fresh, and so generous — we looked forward to every meal. A real highlight was the safari experience arranged through Leopard Nest. We were lucky enough to see a leopard and elephants up close, which was just unforgettable and made the trip even more magical. We honestly cannot fault this property. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience, and we will absolutely be staying here again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime stay!
I liked the location, in the middle of nowhere. I was a very nice experiece. The staff is very polite and the food was very very good as well.
I think the price is too high. If you are scared of insects or small little animals, you may find them in the toilet which is more open to outside life. (not in the room, the room is without of animals).
The location in the middle of the natural park. Staff is very friendly and they do hard efforts to offer and give you what you need. The adventure to arrive to the hotel with a jeep is quite funny.
Facilities a little bit old fashioned.
Luxury in a treehouse! Amazing four course dinner under the stars!
Great glamping experience in Yala. Super friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended!
This was our most expensive stay of the trip. We didn’t realize we weren’t in a tree top room. The room was quite dark and the bathroom felt substandard and only had cold showers. I think the room we were staying in needs a lot of work done to justify $360 a night. The dinner was lovely and the staff were fantastic!
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The dinner was amazing and a highlight of the trip.
We loved everything about our stay. The treehouse was something we will never forget, you’re literally 1/2 an hour into the jungle, the staff simply couldn’t do enough and the food was top notch and in abundance. Our dinner cooked on bbq in a survivor setting was next level amazing. We highly recommend anyone to stay for the full 5 star jungle experience. One thing that’s not stated it there’s a plunge pool!
Nothing
Our stay at Leopard Nest Yala was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a seamless check-in experience. The luxurious tents provided the perfect balance of comfort and nature, featuring spacious interiors, elegant decor, and all the modern amenities we needed. The guided safari was an absolute highlight—exploring Yala National Park in a 4x4 Toyota Hilux with expert guides gave us incredible wildlife sightings, including elephants and the elusive leopard. The staff's knowledge and passion for conservation made the experience even more enriching. Dining at Leopard Nest was another unforgettable aspect. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared with fresh, locally inspired flavors, served in the heart of nature. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines luxury with the thrill of the wild, Leopard Nest Yala is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
The staff was phenomenal and that was the saving grace
The property was run down The rooms where in a very bad state Doors where broken, beds where really in a bad state The place was coming apart For the money it was totally not worth it
BBQ dinner
Not a comfortable place to stay. Full of ants and frogs etc. Road to the hotel is very bumpy. Breakfast is basic.
Great authentic jungle experience, the candlelit bbq dinner was a highlight. They catered very well for me as a vegetarian, providing an amazing platter of freshly grilled veggies. Lasan and his team were excellent hosts and made sure we felt comfortable. They also arranged a great safari for us.

The stuff was really amazing, we had a candle light dinner in the jungle which was really amazing. The experience of a wooden tree house was also something you do once in a lifetime.
The shower needs some upgrade
Leopard Nest Yala was an unforgettable experience! The luxurious tents blended comfort with nature, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the safari was thrilling—we even spotted a leopard! Delicious food and a breathtaking setting made it perfect. Highly recommend for a unique glamping adventure!
Very friendly staff Evening mean wad like a dream.outfdoor.barbeque.fire lanterns.
Some glamping nests were very good. Greenhouse had lizards bugs and leaking toilet. Gldmping text slfo had fomd problems eith toilets. The main issueci s jungle roads access to site us very bumpy.overgroen bushes walking u in tye jeep transferring you from taxi to accommodation
After reading some reviews I was a bit scared about our stay at Leopard Nest. Fortunately unnecessarily. I think the owner of this hotel took all the comments to heart. 1. Right after we arrived the owner explained us everything, especially how to stay safe in the jungle, it was very valuable. We also received a whats up contact in case of any questions or needs. The contact was great and very fast 2. There were at least 4 people from the staff from early morning till late evening. 3. My internet from Sri Lankan mobile has a perfect signal, although I do not expect it in a jungle. There is wi fi at the reception, but I did not check it. 4. Breakfast and dinner are served, everything was delicious and so much that we could not eat it all. The dinner consisted of four courses appetizer, soup, grill and desserts. It was very nice in the middle of the jungle where only torches illuminated us. 5. There is bottled water in the room, and for dinner, if you want something else to drink, you can order it. 6. Additionally, because you have to go on safari very early in the morning, coffee and tea were waiting for us before we left, and we were given a tourist fridge full of sandwiches, eggs, fruit, cookies and water to take on safari. 7. Although the safari was organized by another company, the owner of the hotel asked us for contact to the driver to make sure everything would be on time. 8. The staff is very friendly, and everyone speaks very good English. 9. The air conditioning in the huts works very well. 10. When choosing this hotel, you have to remember that these are jungle huts and not a 5-star luxury hotel, you are close to nature here and in your room you can meet a small friendly lizard, this is an adventure and you have to be ready for it. 10.
The hotel is really nice and very clean for it being in the jungle. The rooms are small because its a tree house so take a small backpack with you for the night there. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and the barbecue dinner was excellent! Tasty and very nice ambience
We booked a safari through the hotel. Although the driver skilled as a driver, he did not add to the experience as a guide. He only pointed to the various animals without offering any details or information and was always in a hurry to move on. When we saw an animal he stopped only for a few seconds to take a picture and did not stay longer for us to observe and enjoy the animals. We had an excellent driver in another safari in minneriya so the difference was striking
Our stay at Leopard Nest Glamping in Yala was nothing short of extraordinary. The luxurious tents perfectly combined comfort and wilderness, with spacious, beautifully decorated interiors. The staff’s exceptional service and deep wildlife knowledge truly elevated our experience. The guided safaris to Yala National Park were well-organized, and we were thrilled to spot elephants, leopards, and more. The locally inspired meals, served amidst nature, were absolutely delicious. Leopard Nest Glamping is the perfect blend of luxury and adventure—highly recommended for an unforgettable escape.
If you love nature, you would really appreciate the location as it is litteraly in the jungle. the staff was kind and helpful, even before the stay as the have communicated with the car driver about the location and the pick up point. The breakfast was amazing!
The location is a bit far from the entrance of Yala park, and it takes about 30 minutes of winding road to get there. The rooms are good, but they lack a bit of maintenance. However, the main problem was on the safari: we booked both the afternoon safari and the early morning safari. The safari is more like a "rally" to search the leopard. I do understand that the leopard is the main attraction of the park, but there are other animals and birds very beautiful to photograph, and the park itself is wonderful! Unfortunately the driver never stopped, and even when we asked him to stop, he seemed annoyed and told us "we have to look for the leopard". My advice to the staff is the following: before starting the Safari, advise the driver to explain the history of the park, the animals expected to be seen and ask the guests how they want to live the experience. This would help meet the customer expectations. Instead, there was no introduction or explanation from the driver. I hope this advice can be useful to improve the service
Seclusion of accommodation and friendliness of staff
Didn’t like safari
Location was very good, quiet and relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very generous with plenty of options and big portions. Each room is isolated, which gives you a nice break from noisy neighbours and helps you connect to nature. A giant squirrel occasionally visits the restaurant and guests can feed her. Also, we received packed breakfasts (very good ones) from the hotel as we were going on a 5am safari.
I expected more for the price we paid. I felt like price was for a 5-star hotel but amenities and customer experience were for a 2 or 3 star one. I understand one of the highlights of the hotel is how isolated and “rustic” it is but things like not having a kettle or wifi in the room, or having to wait an hour for dinner to be served (which by the way it’s the same BBQ dinner every night) really impact customer experience.
Unique property within the Yala national park buffer zone. Staff make things work with limited resources. A Barbeque night was arranged with veg food options in the middle of the jungle!
Absolut nimic
The staff was friendly, the accommodations are all different and quite cool
It is clearly overpriced… We have been on Safaris precisely in South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and India so we had certain expectations but for the price we paid (1500Usd for 2 nights), it was not worth the money. Little details were missing: - no hot beverages in the jeep - nobody waiting for us after the safari with some fresh drinks or snacks - no refill of water, amenities or toilet paper in our room (I am not even mentioning the fact that there was no housekeeping) - on the first night, during barbecue, the staff was grilling vegetables and pineapple which went to one table only when the other guests were left with the meat and rice only - the meals were tasty but simple - breakfast taken for the safari is very basic On the safari side: We left the camp at 5:00 am, arrived at the gate at 05:45 and they were so many jeeps already… our driver had to queue and we managed to leave at 06:30am They were around 500 jeeps in that part of the park, these are no good conditions to see wild life and it doesn’t show a concern to preserve the balance with the ecosystem. One may wonder if it makes sense to have one baby elephant surrounded by 20 jeeps or more…. I would say that staying in a camp like that is because you look for a direct contact with nature but there were no quiet night listening the sound of nature either since the camp has a big generator in the middle which is quite noisy. Overall, if the stay would have been cheaper, we would have given a better review but for the price, it was missing a lot of details. It was not at the level it should be.
Middagen var mycket bra , mysigt med barbecue. Trevlig personal
Sweet and helpful employees.
Interesting concept, beautiful scenery but I am not sure this could be named as luxury camping. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. Comfortable sized room, unique experience in the middle of the jungle. Staff is accommodating and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was tasty.
No internet in the room Cleanliness Overpriced as to what we received
Connection to nature and staff
Value, proximity to safaris, food (except bbq was good); communication about costs of extras like wine and lunch, really long drive to safari when advertising leads you to believe you’re very close access.
Opravdový zážitek, krásná příroda kolem :) velmi příjemná obsluha, výborná večeře i snídaně :)
Horší příjezdová cesta, příprava na safari :)
The hotel is located deep in the jungles of Yala. If you're stayign here, chances are that it's for their leopard safari. We went on the safari shortly after checking in and it was a phenomenal experience. We weren't lucky enough to spot the leopards, but they say its a 50:50 chance of spotting one. We did, however, spot many other wild animals - crocodiles, elephants, water buffalos, deers, anteaters and many more. The hotel was as comfortable as it gets considering you are in the middle of the jungle, and the jungle barbecue dinner was spectacular. The hotel offers many more activities, and we opted for the morning lake-side walk with breakfast which was another highlight of our stay here, and afternoon fishing which was a lot of fun too. A special shout out to Gayan and his team for making our stay extremely comfortable and making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were great and the small jacuzzi pool was fun to use as well. Highly recommended to anyone planning a trip to Yala for a jungle safari looking to stay in the jungle.
The drive from the pick up point to the jungle can be a bit bumpy and uncomfortable, but that is something to be expected considering the location of the hotel. There were some miscommunications and misunderstanding regarding the room type that was booked, but these issues were quickly resolved and dealt with by Gayan.
Stayed at the sky nest and family nest. Wonderful jungle experience. A tree right in the middle of the house. The jungle bbq dinner and breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a lot of variety. The staff were kind and welcoming.
My Experience with Leopard Nest Yala Leopard Nest in Yala offers a unique glamping experience with luxury rooms, great service, and close proximity to Yala National Park for unforgettable safaris.
Location truly in the middle of the jungle. They offer a 4x4 for transport there. Rooms are all different. Staff genuinely nice and helpful.
WhatsApp communication is with different people than those in the hotel. A bit confusing sometimes. Food is not the best but is ok. The experience was worth it.

Our stay at Leopard Nest Glamping was a memorable blend of adventure and comfort. highly recommend

It was a good experience to be out in the wild
The price did not make sense at all. Not worth it

Amazing glamping opportunity for our holiday in Sri Lanka.. Very attentive staff and a wonderful 24hours. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had an amazing view of the national park. The tree house experience was unique and unforgettable. The amazing and professional staff really took the experience to another level, with warm welcomes and special treatments! They also set up a lovely dining area for us and served all our meals under our treehouse. The safari in Yala was also incredible seeing elephants up close and the guides were very knowledgable.
This property is absolutely wonderful. Located inside the jungles of Yala National Park. The night there is so beautiful. The lanterns, Bonfire, glass of red wine, stars in the sky and all bring romance to the dinner table. We had an unforgettable stay here. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an unforgettable wildlife experience

The place and the concept of the entire tree house in the middle of the forest.
Too hot during day times. Not many customers there except us. Also, paying the entire amount before even checking the place is not pleasable. Because we loved the place but we still wanted to see if it's worth staying. Because not everyone will be coming to stay at the room at night and spend the entire day outside. But the fact that they refused to accept our uncomfort and refused to give us a refund for the days we wouldn't want to spend was unacceptable. We had to have a one on one conversation to many heads to get the refund that I have received. Which I think shouldn't be happend. The place is too hot to stay during the day, bugs and insects, no room spray no bug spray, no kettle, no fan, no nessasary things for the customers to enjoy or to use. The bathroom gets even hotter during the day. The shower is too old and smells old. The lights were not on at night as we had to ring the reception to turn the lights on outside. They should do better. Because it's alot of money we spend on it. It's not funny and it's our hard work.
