Reviewed Sep 3, 2026The location is great it’s close to all amenities, including North City Mall and the shops around Mungavin. It’s also not far from the motorway, making it really convenient to get into the city. The shower pressure was so good, and the bedroom and apartment were very spacious. I also really appreciated the regular daily cleaning. I would definitely book here again!
At night it was quite noisy, as the motel is close to the main road, but nothing that some white noise or headphones couldn’t fix. One thing that would be helpful is a “Do Not Disturb” or “No Cleaning Required” sign for the door. A cleaning lady walked into my room while I was there, which caught me off guard as I was getting ready. She apologised, gave me what I needed and left, so it was handled well, but a sign would help avoid this happening. It would also be nice to have a small scrub brush for the dishes, as we only had a cloth, which made cleaning them a little difficult. Otherwise, everything was good and I enjoyed my stay.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026The location was perfect for us as were travelling to my sisters funeral service/ celebration of life which was held in Titahi bay nearby. We lived in Whitby before we moved to the South Island 30 years ago, so it was awesome to be able to catch up with the family & some of our friends from way back. I will recommend Belmont lodge to other people now.
We were very Happy with the service from the staff. The only thing we found really annoying was the noisy fan in the bathroom when someone went in there.

We were there on a Saturday night and it is right next to a very busy road. We couldn't sleep at all due to the bass stereos of what felt like every other vehicle. The building literally rattled and thumped until about 3am. We actually thought there was a concert on somewhere until we realised it was all the vehicles.
